Greetings Everyone!

First of all: We’d like to apologise for the length of time since our last major forum update. We’ve been hard at work during the last weeks and days to improve the game as fast as possible, but rest assured, we are reading every post, comment and review.

The strongest and most consistent feedback we’ve received from you guys is about our combat system. When creating The Other 99, we wanted to try something fresh and new with the combat, given that first person melee combat isn’t an area that has been widely explored in survival games yet. What we created is something that we feel still works quite well with a gamepad, but lacks the level of control and feedback which players expect from keyboard and mouse on a PC game.

As such, we are trying a different approach, and creating a new system which should feel more natural to keyboard and mouse players. On top of a change of controls, we are also re-evaluating the strategy and difficulty behind the system, to try and create a compelling experience with every combat encounter. We will keep updating and iterating this system, based on your feedback and issues, going forward - this update should be available in the coming week.

Beyond the combat system changes, we are also fixing some of the smaller issues which people have raised: graphics settings not saving correctly, not all graphics resolutions represented, no mouse sensitivity controls etc. and these will also be included in the upcoming update.

We hope this patch goes some way to resolving the major issues with The Other 99 so far, and that you, the players, stick with us while we work to try and improve the game. As always, keep letting us know your feedback through the forums, and look forward to plenty of future updates.
