Inconsistency with what you can climb or shoot over. One of those generator horde events where sandbags are all around but one corner which looked exactly the same as the other 2 just blocked all my bullets. Broken window, was able to walk into the building but not out. Chest high sandbags can climb over but waist high desk can't? You can't hit zombies while they climb over something but they can hit you while you climb, this is probably a decision made for balance but it feels unfair. These arbitrary type of thing can that can end a run is just not fun.
Some enemy attacks also seemed inconsistent. Basic zombie, the ones that just shamble towards you sometimes hit instantly, sometimes took ages to even begin telegraphing an attack. Max stamina lowering felt annoying to deal with. It wasn't hard, just forced me to use a not very well made UI once in a while. There is no introduction to enemy types so you kind of have to purposely get hit by something and die several times to actually know what the fuck they do. The permanent progression relies on finding certain building or something, this with not even a hint as to what enemies can do makes playing for the first time pretty frustrating. Weapon durability is fine to have but there is no button to switch from weapon to fist. Very often found myself wanting to conserve weapon because there was few enough zombies that I didn't need extra damage to kill them.
Having to hold E for every thing you loot and F for every message that pops up just bad design. Let me press it once and cancel with any other input. Every building had 1-10 spots to loot, more sometimes when zombie dropped item. Streets between had quite a lot of loot as well. If you loot everything on map you will be holding E for 2 seconds, moving over 3 feet, holding it again, over and over. It's just unnecessary strain on hand and keyboard.

For me, personally it's the game of the year, so glad I found it a few days ago. Reminds me a lot of State Of Decay, which I love, but with a beautiful isometric view, minus the base building, more focused on action, it never gets boring
Absolutely Recommended.
(If anyone has suggestion for similar games, I am all ears.)

Been stuck towards the end of the game because of a silly bug that's been known for over half a year. Leaving this negative review until it is patched.

Early on you get light enemies that you can either melee (and you can upgrade the weapon's durability and their damage) or you can find (and unlock finding more of) weapons of various calibers. The heavier enemies can get taken down by lots of small arms fire and even melee, but as you go you will need something that punched through faster and requires less reloads. I encountered Drum Magazines on one of my runs and that was great, but that means you'll be able to survive slightly longer depending on what enemies you face and if you're not poisoned by long range spitters or near something explosive. At first I did not know that those huge fuel tanks were explosive, but I shot a grenade at a few enemies and the explosion took me out too. Splash damage is your friend and your enemy. I am glad you cannot mod the grenade launcher. Too much of a good thing is bad.
The grinding of the character building is something I enjoyed because it turns out that 1) You don't have a save button, but quitting the game mid-mission will reset the mission you're on, and 2) The more city segments you complete the easier it is to skip through all of them, especially the end missions where a gate or a bridge block your ability to skip through.
Pros:
Great for someone with a gamepad, multi button mouse, and even a trackball mouse.
Replayable fun which doesn't ever repeat itself.
Levels are randomly set.
Hitboxes are consistent.
Aim assist is minimal except for the addons for the long guns.
The early on explanation that your life is finite and you need to keep finding and making antidotes really pulls you into changing the mindset of searching every map or prioritising HERC present areas.
Cons:
There is a problem with going up stairs that are higher than the car. Take the bright cross level. You need to spin your character a lot of times before you get a certain section to go up.
Exiting a grabbed state randomly does not register your fast tapping of the struggle button.
Water is so loud! Why?
#RatheonRecommends this game despite its faults. Nothing game breaking, apart from the stairs.
Tip for new players, unlock the unlockables right away. You'll need them to get more fuel, parts, or survive... that's an order, survivor! Also, always have a hotkey to select a grenade or molotov. They'll save your life.

It's amazing how you go from getting your ass handed to you when you're first playing but with practice, strategy and an arsenal of weapons (which you frequently unlock), you become an unstoppable force.
Couple of pointers:
- You will get frustrated in many moments of this game. From cheap traps to hard-hitting enemies or dying from something you don't receive a tutorial about, you will absolutely want to uninstall.
- Only buy items you want to populate the world with (avoid lower class weapons like Mac-10 and stuns).
- Upgrade your knowledge first before anything else.
- HERC stations (shown on your map) ALWAYS have antiviral. You will only see this once in each of the 4 map sections.
- Roll if you're on fire to put it out quick.
- Be stealthy and use silenced rifles. My walkthrough's a piss-easy with a silenced M4A1.
- Craft the flamethrower and use it to break through armour.
- In earlier levelling in the game. Be slow, strategic and smart. Don't alert the whole city of zombies and expect not to die.
- If you're not happy with your progress from the start of a location (take too much damage for example), quit to menu and reload your save.
All up, I've really enjoyed this game and believe I've got all it has to offer from the 100 hours I've invested. I can recommend this game, albeit, not to everyone.

I cannot recommend the new gameplay this one offers though.
It has a sustainable roguelite gameplay cycle, controls, graphics and ambient audio is quite nice, but the gameplay itself is simply not fun and too repetitive for me.

The points you put in Skills wont matter much, ( besides some melee, stamina, and the misc, base and RNG Drop rate upgrades ) ITS IS A TRAVESTY that there's no Health or Defense Upgrades.
Crafting is kind-of bare-bones, but offers enough variety and is enjoyable.
There's a lot of dependency on the Anti-Virals and the Batteries (the latter , is thankfully craftable )
Combat is fun but it will mostly boil down to Blasting your way through everything or wasting up to almost 1 hour sneaking everywhere. Finding Mods for guns is fun. ( but ultimately , only the Silencer is worth the most ) , Sadly There's no I-Frames so vaulting over objects and Dodge Rolling wont help you much.
Zombies AI Detection is Strict and Relentless
Some Areas needs some Touch-ups, places which are so obviously accessible / passable wont let you through, (a smashed store glass door, THAT'S WIDE OPEN wont let me inside and gaps between objects which are clearly passable, wont let you through, an incline from a tiny ass puddle wont let you up.)
Camera View / Draw Distance could be further ( sometimes empty streets where you felt safe, have Boomer and Runner Ambushes since you cant see them ) [ Or atleast have the Rifle Scopes, let me see farther when i equip them]
TLDR ;
Theres a lot thats pretty bad, (and not much good) and more that i want to talk about, but i dont want to be THAT GUY. As of right now the game IS playable enough to get to the end, but the endless grind to get Skill points for a tiny +XYZ% is fucking obnoxious.
If you do decide to play either way, i wish you luck, and recommend that you play just under the 2 hour mark, so when the grind hits, and you want to back out, you can refund it . But if you do go past it and willing to stay and play more, theres no shame in using cheats, because who cares.
