Einfach nur Fantastisch.Die Fahrzeuge kann man tunen (es gibt viele Teile ) Optik und Leistung
.Vor allem mir gefallen die Motorräder , man kann sehr gut stunten (Wheelie , Stoppie , Drift ) es gibt verschiedene Arten . Zum beispiel Motocross , Hyper Car , Street Race und viele weiter . PS mir ist nichts negativ aufgefallen .

Eines der besten Rennsport Spiele, die es aktuell auf Steam gibt. Egal ob Monster Truck, Hovercraft, Motorräder, Flugzeuge, Rennwägen, Formel 1, Hyper Cars etc. fahr was du willst, wann du willst. Hier sollte für jeden etwas dabei sein. Content hat das Spiel genug. Nicht nur die immense Fahrzeug Auswahl trägt dazu bei, sondern auch die Masse an Rennen, Events, Live-Events etc. Nach ca. 50 Stunden Spielzeit, habe ich immer noch keine 100% erreichen können. Die Story in dem Spiel erfüllt ihren Zweck. Sie sagt uns, warum wir überhaupt all diese Rennen fahren, aber wirklich zuhören muss man nicht.

Einziger Kritikpunkt:
Es gibt einige Wägen die eine Menge Grind erfordern. Mit 8k ~ 15k pro Rennen, kann es mühseelig sein, auf einen Wagen zu sparen der 3.000.000 kostet

Das spiel ist überhaupt nicht herausfordernd. Egal ob in der Luft, auf der Straße oder überland...es macht einfach keinen Unterschied. Vollgas geben und gut ist es. Ich weiß nicht, warum es überhaupt einen Bremsknopf gibt. Die Kameraperspektiven beim Driften sind unintuitiv. Es macht auf Dauer einfach keinen Spaß.

Hallo liebe Leute.

Ich besitze TC2 nun schon eine ganze Weile und habe gut 200 Stunden in diesem Game verbracht.
Ich war ein großer Fan von the crew 2, aber dann kam das Motorflix Update aka Battlepass und alles änderte sich drastisch.
Es ist nun so gut wie unmöglich die Premium ingame Währung Kostenlos zu bekommen (Warum auch immer ein Vollpreis Game noch einen Premium Shop braucht ist mir schleierhaft)
Auch die Wettbewerbe sog. Summits um Fahrzeuge und anderen Kram zu gewinnen sind leider durch Hacker kaum noch zu schaffen.

Map:
Die gesamten USA zu erkunden ist schon eindrucksvoll, dass muss ich zugeben, aber es herrschen an so gut wie jeder ecke Bugs und massive Schönheitsfehler. Außerhalb von nahezu toten und absolut nicht ansehnlichen Städten kann man das ein oder andere tolle Bild einfangen.

Fahrzeuge:
Es gibt eine Menge an Fahrzeugen, wobei die richtig guten hinter einer Paywall stehen oder man wirklich mindestens 50 Stunden Grinden muss. Grinden ist hier sowieso an der Tagesordnung...um sein Fahrzeug zu Tunen bekommt man zufällige Teile für sein Fahrzeug, aber es ist nicht möglich sofort ein Teil mit den maximal werten zu bekommen.
nach 200 Stunden habe ich gerade einmal 2 Fahrzeuge auf der höchsten Stufe. Also kann man sich sicher Denken wie viel Aufwand und Zeit das in Anspruch nimmt...da ist es mit dem Spaß schnell rum.

Rennen und Fahrphysik:
Das Positive vorweg:
Die Drift Events sind das Highlight und funktionieren gut mit den Strecken und den Drift Fahrzeugen und es lässt sich selbt mit einer Tastatur wunderbar steuern.
Nach diesem Lob bedeutet es wohl, dass der Rest nicht so toll ist. Richtig.
Die Fahrzeug Physik (Ausgenommen Drift Fahrzeuge) ist fürs umherfahren gut genug, aber bei weitem nicht für Rennen zudem bis auf wenige Ausnahmen das Strecken Design vollkommen daneben ist.
Kuppen über die man gerne ein paar scharfe Kurven legt bei high speed Rennen, Sprung Rampen die das Fahrzeug in der Luft gerne einfach Quer stellen, gerne auftauchender Verkehr der erst 10 meter vor dem Fahrzeug spawnt und teilweise sehr fragwürdige Strecken Entscheidungen (enge Kurven die nicht zu schaffen sind mit der Physik, richtig miese kleine Randsteine an denen man hängen bleibt an den vorteilhaftesten Stellen).
Zudem bietet TC2 eine Gummiband KI vom feinsten.
Es ist bedauerlich zu sagen, dass ich in der Rennsimulation Assetto Corsa mein Fahrzeug besser zu Fahren ist als in einem Funracer. Eigentlich das Todesurteil für jedes Rennspiel.

Fazit:
Ich Rate absolut von diesem Game ab, auch wenn es im Sale ist!
Schaut euch Stattdessen Forza Horizon an, was offensichtlich das Vorbild von TC2 ist an, denn TC2 ist lediglich eine Kopie...eine Schreckliche Kopie.
Bei den Aktuellen Spielerzahlen bin ich mir unschlüssig, wie lange Ubisoft noch das Game am leben hält bevor die Server abgeschaltet werden.

Ich hoffe ich kann euch vor einem Fehlkauf bewahren und danke fürs Lesen <3

First of all, this is an Arcade Racer, wrong game if you want hyperrealism.
The amount of content is astonishing, over 400 Vehicles Cars, Boats, Motorcycles and Airplanes.
They still update the game, a few months ago they released the biggest update since release for free and thats just nice to see in todays game industry.
Another huge plus are the loading times, there are literally none. You can jump from one side of the map to the other within seconds.
Some meh stuff, well the physics are interesting but as i said, its an arcade game so i let that slip.

Forza Horizon looks way better and has a great Community, but The Crew surprised me how flawless everything works! So, if its on sale i can absolutly recommend this one!

Es ist ein echt cooles Spiel da z.B die Map riesig ist.
Falls ihr es euch überlegt zu holen, dann holt euch lieber gleich die Gold Edition. Wartet einfach bis ein Angebot kommt und dann holt es euch. Damit habt ihr so viel Vorteile.

Eine WICHTIGE Frage

Was passiert mit dem Menschen im Auto/Flugzeug/Boot wenn sich das Fahrzeug verwandelt? Der Vordersitz ist nicht bei allen Fahrzeugen an der selben Position und die Fahrzeuge sind ja auch verschieden lang.

Crew 2 ist ein wirklich sehr süchtig machendes Spiel. Es bietet viele Möglichkeiten in Form von Straßen Luft bis hin zu Boot-rennen. Zudem ist die Grafik sehr gut und die Aktivitäten sind in einem fairen Schwierigkeitsgrad.

Fun Arcade Racer mit vielen Strecken, tollen Fahrzeugen, AAA Optik und jede Menge tuning- Möglichkeiten, upgrades etc. (alles inGame freischaltbar, je nach gewonnenen Rennen/ Erfahrungspunkten usw. ).

Man kann keine wirklichen Crashs bauen/ Fahrzeug erleidet keinen Schaden. IM normalen Straßenverkehr gibt es gut viel Gegenverkehr und auch Fußgänger. Letztere springen aber immer gekonnt zur Seite. Fun Racer nenn ich sowas...

Mit der interaktiven Karte kann man auch per Blitzreise durch die Städte zum gewünschten Ziel.

Auch darf man hier im Spiel mal die Polizei spielen und böse Gegner rammen und ausschalten.

Erinnert bisschen an die Need for Speed- Reihe.

Alles in Allem ein guter, spaßiger Racer für Zwischendurch und zum Abschalten genau das Richtige.
Grafik TOP . Sounds & Musik : Okey
Steuerung / Fahrgefühl: alles anpassbar , aber ist und bleibt ein Arcade Racer.

Im Steam- Winter-Sale zuschlagen, kann man nix verkehrt machen ! (für 10 ists okey, für den Vollpreis wärs mir es aber nicht wert)

After reinstalling the game it just kept crashing. But it worked unstable before and Ubisoft or rather U-Play ist the Fiat Multipla under the game launchers, awful user interface. Cheap copy of the first part.

Hallo. Hier ein kurzes Review zu The Crew 2.
Ich finde dieses Spiel spitze. Am Anfang vor dem Kauf war ich absolut kein Fan aber ich habe mich, dank einem Freund, hingesetzt und es mit -80% gekauft. Seit dem Moment ist das Spiel der totale Hammer. Passt aber auf mit diesem Spiel, falls ihr eine begrenzte Geldausgabe hat. Wie mehrere Spiele versucht Ubisoft, jeden Cent von dir zu genehmigen. Sonst ist dieses Spiel der tolle Knüller.

Vor dem Kauf bitte nochmals nachdenken: Auf Sale warten!!!

Besseres Spiel als ich dachte.

Ich habe mir das Spiel geholt, weil mir Forza Horizon 4 langsam auf den Sack geht...und was soll ich sagen: Das Spiel ist super. Es gibt eine Menge zu tun und der Multiplayer macht auch Spaß, weil die Autos auf die Maximalstufe angehoben werden. So kommt es auf das fahrerische Können an.

Die Auswahl der Rennen ist bombastisch und die Bootsrennen, von denen ich dachte ich würde sie hassen, machen mir nun auch richtig Spaß.

Bis auf den Modus Demolition Derby und Drag Race kann ich das Spiel wirklich empfehlen :)

Endlich funktioniert das Game wieder, Gott sei dank hat Ubisoft endlich diesen Crach-bug gefixt, das Spiel ist nun endlich wieder spielbar. Das Game an sich ist extrem gut, die Steuerung ist etwas schwer mit Tastatur, aber mit Controler oder Lenkrad funktioniert es spitzenmäßig. Die Grafik von dem Spiel ist für seine Größe erstaunlich gut, denn die Map ist riesig. Kleiner Kritikpunkt zur Map, nicht alle ampeln funktionieren (ist aber nicht so wichtig).

Ich finde das Spiel Klasse. Insgesammte Wertung: 8,5/10!

Nach dem letzten Update kann man das Spiel nicht mehr starten. Es stürzt halt jedesmal ab wenn man kurz vorm Hauptmenü des Spiels ist. UBI PLS FIX

Ein sehr gutes Spiel was immer noch ein Update nach und nach raushauen tut, auch wenn es schon 2 Jahre alt ist macht es immer noch mega Spaß und wenn man dazu noch 4 Leute hat, macht es noch 100 mal so viel Spaß

Aber einen Roman zu schreiben bringt es nicht da jeder andere Ansichten eines Spieles hat darum überzeugt euch selber davon

Ein sehr geiles Spiel, hat hier und da ein paar Macken, aber dennoch sehr gut gestaltet. Man hat viele Tuning-Möglichkeiten und es gibt eine sehr gute Auswahl an Autos, das Handling kann man ebenfalls sehr gut anpassen, so das die Autos sich dann sehr gut fahren lassen. Das Spiel hat einen guten Live-Support und bekommt regelmäßig Updates. Ich kann das Spiel wärmstens empfehlen.

in 2 aus 10 fällen stürzt das spiel am ende des längstem rennen ab
Somit verschwendet man in 20% der fälle eine halbe stunde. Aber auch bei normalen rennen stürzt plötzlich das spiel ab, es liegt auch nicht am Pc
Dieses spiel bringt mich nur zum weinen es ist wirklich blöd wenn man etwas grindet um ein teures auto zu kaufen ABER NEIN NATÜRLICH PASSIERT SOWAS

Sehr gutes Spiel. Neutral gehalten und die Grafik ist unbeschreiblich. Man hat viel zu machen, viel zur Auswahl. Vor allem für Motorrad liebhaber wie mir, ist das Spiel einfach unglaublich.

Great game. Bought it for $10 and don't regret it. This is my second play through of the game and it's still as fun as I remembered. They've added so much over the past 4 years, new races, events, vehicles, and map locations. There are planes, trucks, F1 cars, GT cars, motorbikes, motorcycles, and boats. There is so much to do in this game and it's very hard to get bored of this game.

The game was fun at the beginning but now at every corner you take there is cash grab or micro-transactions, It is getting worse and worse after each patch. I refuse to pay a single extra dime on top of the original price.

I'm surprised to see that after 4 years since the game was released there are still plenty of things to do in it even though you completed all the races.
There are weekly Live Summits released along with daily challenges and tasks in the seasons coming out once every 40-50 days which is such a nice way to kill time without repeating too much the same routine!

Here's my spin on The Crew 2:

Cars:
Pros:
-More Cars.
-They all feel somewhat different from each other.
-Old Cars have great customization (They're the ones I mainly drive so I'm happy.)
Cons:
-They all kinda feel like bricks on ice though.
-Indestructible benches during races. Why?

Boats:
Pros:
-Very fun to drive around.
-The water physics (wakes, waves, etc.) are pretty good.
-The little boats are stupidly fun with friends.
Cons:
-Jumps eat your speed like it's a snack.

Planes:
Pros:
-Pretty good control setup.
-They control wonderfully.
-Formation flying and stunts are very fun with others.
-You can use them to make car/boat darts.
Cons:
-Why are the Mustang and the Spitfire so flipping slow? The Mustang realistically can go up to 437 mph and the Spitfire can go up to 404 mph. WHY ARE THEY SO SLOW?
-Indestructible Lightpoles are the bane of aircraft.

Graphics:
-Decent. Not the best, not the worst. They do their job well enough to make the game playable.
Sound:
-Could be worse, could be better. Again, it does what it's meant to do without going beyond.
Radios:
-Why even bother? Why? They're not that good.
Multiplayer:
-The lack of PvP is sad, but this game still is really enjoyable with 2 or even 3 people. Near Miami I have had times where me and 2 strangers just start doing formation flying... no communication or anything.
Races:
-Car races are painful. They are not fun for me. Boat races are passable. Running over other boats is always fun. Plane races are fun to me... probably cause I have over 100 hours on other flying games...

Overall, I'd say this game is pretty good and the community needs to stop being so dang salty with their reviews.

Way too many microtransactions. Want to get a new car without spending actual money? Do the two weekly challenges that give you $45k each, then run the same quick race fifty times for like $500k. Slow and tedious.

This game sucks TBH i played it in beta and it was alright ish but when i bought the gold edition for £8 on the 2020 steam summer sale the game was utter garbage, Ivory tower tried to copy one of their greatest games when they were eden which was Test Drive Unlimited 2. DO NOT BUY

It it worth getting in 2022? Heck yeah. It has cars, monster trucks, bikes, planes and boats. Definitely worth it especially if it is on sale! Very arcadey and perfect for casual player like me. BUT if you are a hardcore petrolhead, I'd say go for FH5.

When it is on sale for 9,99 its worth it. but full price? Hell nah. i really like what they tried to do and there isnt really another open world racer quite like it. but everything feels mediocre, all styles of driving, flying, boats, graphics, map, progression, customisation. it's all there but nothing really stands out (except for the map size). good for a few hours of fun, but nothing more than that. So only get it on sale

This game is just amazing, the graphics got fixed and they just look beautiful overall is just amazing to cruise/race in this game. It´s the only racing game where you can see the bounces that the suspension does and it´s so satisfying, the car doesn´t feel like you are just sucked by the ground. I really have a great time with this game keep in mind that this is an arcade game, kinda like NFS, Forza and so on. So expect to have a caracteristic handling to the gameplay. The customization is awesome. Map is humongous so you can put your fav playlist on spotify take your car and go on forever alone or with ur friends. Is such a good game.

This game is max quantity, zero quality. If you told me this game was designed by people who had never actually driven or sat in a car and everything they knew about driving was through bing searches and 80's action movies, it would all make sense. Then they added rpg elements with rng based loot. This is a parody of a driving game through the lens of the onion.

For example: this has time trial races with tiered time targets: easy, normal and hard. Let's say your brain is broken like me and you accept the challenge to 100% this game and learn the retarded driving model which induces even hypercars to lift their inside rear tyre like a civic on hard turn in. Lets say you can easily beat the hard time with a stock car. You still gotta run the race 2 more times to complete it to get rewards. Every stupid race has to be done thee times. Every. Single. Event. This is just one among numerous issues.

Every single thing other than car customization is the commitee voting for the worst possible option every single time. Its like if twitch plays racing game development with assholes. Just don't buy this microtransaction hell. Even if this goes free to play. Don't be me.

One of the best adventure racing games with infinite cars, motorcycles, planes, boats, perfect graphics, excellent gameplay is worth it and with the above price that makes you buy it, buy it without fear, you will not lose it is a perfect game

ok. when u want to decide what a racing game is the best. all of us suddenly thinking about titles like nfs or fh along side titles like dirt project cars....
but the thing is when u decide to choose this game to play and when u start to play and flow with it. u cant forget what is like to drive in over 5000 kilometers squared road and 10000 kilometers of winding roads.
still do count about map measures of water.
but this is just only the beginning... u have to take this in mind im not taking about customization yet.
so i'll leave to explore other things to u when u play it.

The Crew 2 is massive open world racing game with an plethora of vehicles (Cars, motorbikes, planes, boats) to choose from
You have many game modes with some over the top action sequences so its not really grounded in realism , Incorporating such a massive map ( featuring a scaled down version of the continental United states ) involves making compromises ie it isn't that well detailed like in Forza
however like almost all Ubisoft games it still needs to be optimised more
The grind did not feel tedious You have to race and earn money to buy new and better cars unlike Forza where they just give stuff for free . It has microtransactions but it's not p2w
Customization options were great too , The story was quite average ,
driving physics are alright too.
There is lots of room for improvement and i am looking forward for it .
Overall a great game , buy it when it is on sale

Same body, new engine and parts.

Story:

The Crew 2 drops the revenge plotline of the first one and delves fully into the motorsport scene. You play as a young racer that has just started out (you create your character yourself) and is given a chance to earn a spot among the big dogs of each discipline. So you have to earn followers and race your way to the top to become the ultimate racer in the USA.

Story is not a big focus this time around, each event is a standalone thing that you can do in any order you like and every once in a while one of the big people of that discipline will chime in recapping your journey and where you are at that particular moment. It's fine for the most part, however a lot of the writing is just downright stupid at times, which makes me appreciate the fact story is not a big thing in this game.

Graphics:

The Crew 2 is a massive upgrade over the first game in almost every way. The world feels slightly smaller, however much more compact and lively. The first Crew felt large, but very empty with city streets feeling barren and everything outside of big cities like major wastelands. The Crew 2 cities feel lively with tons of traffic and pedestrians walking around and even when you leave cities, the fast forests and deserts are populated with wildlife.

The cars also look much better and there's tons more of them (almost 500 in total, across different types like boats and planes) and they all look great and have a ton of details put into them and are just pleasant to look at. Especially when you go into first person and explore the inside of your vehicle.

Audio:

The audio for the most part is decent, however not amazing. First of all I'd like to mention that most of the cars sound too similar to one another. Cars in the same disciplines sound share pretty much the same sounds with very minor differences to pitch and tone, but not by much. I doubt a mini cooper sounds identical to a ford mustang in real life, so it tends to be pretty distracting.

The music overall is decent, but not amazing. The orchestral score used in some moments is pretty bland and honestly all I wanted was for me to be able to go back to the radio. The radio selection is nice for the most part, I feel like every station has some really good choice of music and a lot of the stations had a lot of tracks that I loved, however I was severely disappointed with their selection of Hip Hop music, which felt too generic.

Gameplay:

Since you're now not trying to take down a criminal, but climb the ranks of becoming the best racer in the United States, the game includes quite a bit of variety. You now have four different styles of racing, Offroad, Freestyle, Street Racing and Pro Racing, which all include four varieties in them. You have multiple types of vehicles as well. This time around you'll be racing not only on the ground, but in the sky and the water too. Stuff like boats, planes, motocross bikes, off-road vehicles, hovercrafts and other stuff like that is available to use to climb those ranks.

A good majority of the vehicles are incredibly fun to control, especially more so in the actual events which are an absolute blast. However not everything in the game is as polished. For example, the boat races and everything including sea activities are often incredibly tedious because of how the actual vehicles control. Boats have incredibly stiff movement, while jet sprint feels way too loose so it ends up being way too annoying and these events are really terrible to play.

To advance the story you have to increase your follower count and you do this by a few different ways. First of all is completing events, you can also do bonus events like speed traps and other stuff which is encountered while driving around the open world, or you can do stunts in the open world to get that follower count up. However this mechanic feels a bit too half assed as you earn followers so easy it doesn't really feel like a challenge to unlock the other events.

You upgrade your vehicle by parts you earn from completing events and it acts like a loot drop system. It's incredibly simple as you want your overall number to reach the max stats and once you improve you just look at what bonuses seem more appealing to you. However this is a double edge sword for most of the events. On the normal difficulty being slightly over the required number, means you're basically no match for the AI. In races they won't be able to catch up to you and in certain instances you can even lap them, but on anything else you really need that number to be close to what's required or you're not going to be able to compete.

Back to the events, there's quite a lot of content for you to go through. There's plenty of events to go through and side stuff, but even when you wrap all of that stuff up, there's still quite a bit of stuff to do. There's weekly events like the summit which repurpose events from the main game to fit a weekly theme so you can unlock exclusive rewards like new vehicles and cosmetic stuff for your cars.

Verdict:

The Crew 2 is a major improvement over the first game in every imaginable way. It's incredibly fun and the different vehicle and event types makes things fresh and not grow stale over time. It does have a few issues like audio design not being the best and story characters being insanely annoying, but even they do not detract from the fun you can have with the game, especially if you're a fan of the genre.

I got over a million dollars and maxed out most of my vehicles. One day I get on and it says I do not own the game anymore. I contact Ubisoft and after a day I was able to play but all of my stuff was gone. Instant ALT + F4 and uninstall. Will never play again. Wish I could get a refund.

Brilliant game and highly enjoyable, despite all the flaws that you might hear around. Even after 3yrs, the game is constantly being supported and updated by Ivory Tower and things are looking a lot better after the huge Season 3 update. Absolutely recommend this game for any racing fans. One of my favorites of all time.

Easily one of the best arcade racing games out there. Most of the critics are by the people who either judged the game by playing just a couple of hours or those comparing it with other racing/driving games. Here's my take on its pros and cons:

PROS:

1. Map: Insanely huge map of the USA. Has almost all the visiting sites you can think of. It'd take you an actual hour to drive from NY to San Francisco. You can never get bored of the map, period.

2. Car collection: Huge car collection from all the popular makes. They keep adding more every week and with every new update. Same with boats, planes, etc. You can actually buy like 98% of the cars without paying actual money. You might need some grinding though. 'New York' or the 'Uber dam' are good events to grind.

3. Car customization: You can customize almost everything from car color to tires, rims, wings, body kits, smokes, nitros, windows, even the underglows. There's also a good, active community that keeps adding custom liveries (skins/vinyls) which you can apply to your cars directly. And of course, there's a decent liverly editor too.

4. Race tracks: Challenging and fun race tracks. Some even have good shortcuts which you can master by driving repeatedly. You may try to break some of the world records.

5. Diversity: Various disciplines to choose from. You ever get bored from the street races, you can do boat race, jet race, air race, motorbike race, monster trucks, you name it. Although the game has good diversity, it's biased towards street races due to the number of events available in it compared to other disciplines. But then, if you're a street racing fan, that's what you want.

6. Regular content update: Really impressed with the 'Live Summit' weekly events with unique themes. You compete with other players to get the prizes. Prizes being special edition cars, tires, car parts, nitros, followers, etc.

CONS:

1. Graphics: Being a 2018 game, the graphics could've been better. You can't expect amazing graphics for such a giant map but the textures and reflections could still be better (as they're reused a lot). The lightings/weather system is good during the day with bright sunlight but it looks like a water painting when cloudy or rainy. The nights are okay at best.

2. Unbalanced AI: The AI in the game is somewhat unbalanced. I mean you can easily win street races or hypercars in Ace (highest difficulty) with a decent, well-upgraded car. Like a Buggati Divo or La Voiture Noire. But then you'll sweat to finish even the 'Easy' drag races without grinding.

3. Physics: Funny. If you're looking for a racing game with realistic or good physics, this isn't the one. They've surely made the car handling better with each update, but it still hurts to see a hypercar wobble at 400+ kmph with slight curves.

4. Optimization: I'm not sure how it scored 7/10 on GameDebate for optimization. I have a good GPU. Though it runs smooth most of the time, a crowded street race or a multiplayer with varied ping rates would cause immediate lags. Sometimes even kick players out. Even the processor and the GPU runs hotter during the gameplay as compared to other games of the same scale.

5. PvP: There's no customizability for PvP races. Also, the PvP player base is low and often results in a long waiting time.

If you're a racing freak who loves arcade and don't mind a bit of a funny physics, go get it. You won't regret. If you're into simulators and graphics, stay away. I've been a Forza fan myself (have a good amount of hours spent on the windows store version), but this game is still very fun in what it offers.

This game works well with controller and keyboard. However, if you were planning to use a steering wheel. forget it. The default keybinds for wheel are awful and whenever you try to change them the game crashes. I have seen multiple people with this issue and still haven'
t found a solution.

Well well well!

It's 6 months now since i bought this one and i decided after 111 hours of gameplay to review it.

First the alternative titles i would give this game.

Ford Focus hating simulator

Epic Car Wallpaper maker

Bugatti porn

The faster hatchbacks

The Crew 2 sponsored by Ford, Bugatti, Dodge and Chevrolet.

Gameplay

The gameplay itself is really good, the tutorial (well it's a Ubisoft game there isn't much to expect) isn't well thought of in my opinion.

You start of with a vehicle the game gives you to finish your first mission.

After that you've been given a (rather small) selections of vehicles/cars for free.

The further you progress into the game the more options and challenges as well as vehicles get unlocked.

For the cars for example Ubisoft decided to help you progress by giving you a free Aston Martin Vanquish (which honestly helps a lot).

The game itself offers you various types of challenges and gamemodes so you never get bored.

When it comes to missions, i sadly have to mention that the npcs even on the higher difficulty seem to struggle sometimes. Weather conditions while in a mission are nice but could cost you your lead since it looks like the npcs don't struggle with it as you do.

More to that later on.

Design

Even on a lower setting the design and graffics are good enough for amazing screenshots.

The cars are well detailed like the real life ones, you have a very simplified map and speedometer and the menus aren't in any way confusing.

The settings are nicely ordered which is consumer friendly.

The good things

Amazing graphics with great detailing.

Good and constructive gameplay.

A good variety of vehicles to choose from.

A photo mode with a great variety of settings to make your perfect screenshots.

A huge and well detailed map of the US

A lot of missions and challenges to choose from.

The bad/salty things

As stated earlier, weather conditions with bad traffic could easily ruin your race.

The Navigation responds very slow and bugged since the last update

The developers seem to gotten sponsored by the car manufactorers mentioned earlier because of the sheer amount of cars of each brand that are in the game.

Some car manufactorers that have produced amazing cars e.g. Toyota, Lancia, Skoda are completely left out which is sad to be honest.

The tutorial isn't really helpful when you haven't played the game before.

The confusing things

For example, the aero of all the cars (even those with a huge rear spoiler) isn't considered even though the game tries to be really realistic

AWD(All-wheel-drive)-Cars like the BMW M8 behave like RWD(Rear-wheel-drive)-Cars, but FWD(Front-wheel-drive)-Cars behave like RWD-Cars with more traction

Some stats of the cars are confusing: VW Golf GTI 0 - 100 km/h 2.4 seconds HP: 550
Bugatti Veyron 0 - 100km/h 2.6 seconds HP: about 1670

The weight of the cars aren't mentioned and most likely not even considered in the game.

So how could your regular Golf GTI with FWD be faster from 0 - 100km/h than a hypercar that costs irl like 3.5 million Euros?

My verdict

It is a great game with a few twists but you can enjoy it in any way you like since it's an open-world game with many options and way to play it.

Do you like to just casually drive around?

You can just do it.

Or crash into the statue of liberty with a plane for fun?

Yeah go on.

The game won't force you to play it in a specific way.

So in short i recommend it if you like cars like i do.

Meh.

Pros:

To sum it up. It is a generic racing game with many interesting features which gets boring after about 10 hours of playtime. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game because more than a game it feels like a cash grab.

If you want to buy this game and would like to give it a try on your own, don't pay the full price. It is not worth it!

It's a very nice game!
It has a lot of very nice mechanics
Even if I received the game for free, I can say with the greatest pleasure that it is worth all the money.
Super graphics and very large map.
Very beautiful cities worked and many systems.
NPCs are programmed with fairly advanced intelligence.
Also, the 3 game modes (airplanes, boat and car) leave a lot to be done on the whole map! Lots of missions and game modes. Very well implemented systems and updates made quite often.

It's a mess. I've played a lot of racing games. All of the Forza Horizon games, Forza Motorsports 5 and 6, Project Cars, and most importantly, The Crew. Now, I actually really enjoyed The Crew. The story was interesting, and kept me invested to see how it ended. The whole game had this neat, gritty feel, combined with a great selection of music.

This game feels like it doesn't know what it actually is. It feels like it's trying to one-up the Forza Horizon series, but seriously fails at doing so. Compared to The Crew, this game feels empty. The Crew had a single objective, and while there were different goals along the way, they all lead up to the primary objective. What's the objective in the Crew 2? Haven't got a clue. Maybe I wasn't paying attention, I don't know. I think part of it is getting influence on social media. How riveting. Now, let's compare it with the game I believe it's trying to mimic: Forza Horizon. FH4 also has multiple different goals, but they feel more established compared to TC2. One significant difference between the 2 is that, at least in my opinion, Forza Horizon is much more fun. I don't quite know what it is, hence why I said it's my opinion, but I think part of it is that more high-end cars are much easier to obtain, rather than grinding for them in TC2. For example, FH has different achievements that will be awarded with a prize wheel, known as wheel spins. They are rather easy to obtain, with little to no effort. You can win cars that would take you hours of grinding in TC2, and win them in seconds. One thing I love in the Horizon games is the addition of an auction page, where you can purchase cars at a cheaper price, and purchase cars you can't find in the main marketplace: the autoshow. Meanwhile, in TC2, you have to pay full price for cars, unless they're an award car, or a purchase. Car upgrades are also much different in the two games. Part of the fun in Forza is completely overloading an ordinary car with stupidly powerful upgrades. Instead, in this game, upgrades are awarded, and more upgrades are awarded depending on the events you complete, and that's just not as fun.

Now, let's talk about DLC. Games like Forza also have a large amount of DLC content that will be featured from time to time. A lot of the TC2 is DLC that most people rightfully don't care about, because they want to play the game they payed for. TC2 has a lot of cool accessories for your cars... that you have to pay for. They have a lot of neat vehicles... that take an eternity to obtain. Getting to, and achieving goals is a lot of fun, but when a goal is so far off as a lot of things are in this game, efforts to achieve said goal feel futile.

On a separate note, let's address the fact that Raving Rabbids are being added to the game. Other commenters have said it best: this is a new low in the series.

TL;DR: The Crew 2 feels empty and feels like a less fun version of the Forza Horizon games.

Want a better story line, and a game with a purpose? Play the original The Crew.
Want a better free roaming experience and a larger selection of cars? Play the Forza Horizon series.
Want beautiful graphics and a good story? Play the Need for Speed series.
Just want a good racing game? Check out Assetto Corsa, the Forza Motorsport series, and the Project Cars series.

absolutly loving it ,just laggy for my intel i3 ,but playable. i have been wanting
to buy a racing ,open world car game (bought it in a steam sale for 8 dollars, so totally worth it) and i also
got boats and planes with the cars so took it ,loved playing it but will spend full time in it after buying a new laptop
where it will very run smooth

This is an amazing good looking game with a huge alive open world where you can drive for hours the entire US map without any purpose, just endless driving for fun. The game has good music, activities, online peers looking for action and some running moose just crossing the roads like if they were haunted by something creepy. However this is not a game I really enjoyed with my racing wheel the T300 RS but I used my Xbox One gamepad instead and I was able to have fun.

I read some reviews where people say this a true simulator type game.....What the.....!! Are you guys sniffing glue ? Put that glue tube away you crazies and get sober cuz' if you come to me with that shi..T rest assured you punk I'm gonna spank your butt.

The Crew 2 is a whisker away from being a great game. You can spend an entire afternoon just enjoying the cars and driving without a specific purpose, while taking in some of the marvelous views, and it feels really good. However, the major downsides - ubiquitous copy-pasting and a rather scant number of genuine innovations
- don't allow me to recommend this game to absolutely everyone - not just yet.

It's frikkin arcadey and drifting is still weird like in the first game but you know what?

Forza Horizon eats shit on map design. This is the best game now for open world cruising, the car handling is good enough for what this game is and the bikes boats and planes actually feel pretty nice.

So don't buy this for legit drift battles on gamepad. CarX and Forza own that game. Buy this for the open world, the variation in vehicles and the fun quick switch function that lets you change for instance from a plane into a car or boat at any altitude so you can feel like the whale from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy (or the bowl of petunia's if that's what you prefer).

Verdict: Great game with great cars and huge map. The Crew is great they are almost the same but this one has boats and planes which is a great addition to the game. But the fact they removed the storyline made it somehow a little boring or dull.

You can still do alot of things tho, racing is the biggest thing, roam around the city or cross another with friends, explore america, sight seeing, collect cars yes, and customization. Id give a huge point for TC2 in customization because you can customize alot.

Car sounds are just amazing, huge difference between TC2 and FH4. Details of cars are also astonishing, graphics are great. The game is capped on 60fps tho for some reason :3

Idk what happened to physics lol. This game is a combination of FH and NFS, FH graphics and NFS physics which is kinda weird. But overall game is great especially those who love to collect cars. This one is something you should have in your library =)

If you do not have enough money to buy Forza Horizon 4 like me, FEAR NOT! This game has some aspects that are better compared to Forza too. For example; huge map, different categories for racing(powerboats, planes, monster trucks etc.), but the most important thing is of course the price of the game :D
After I played this game 300+ hours, I do not have the urge of playing Forza Horizon 4 anymore. Btw, this game is full arcade, not semi-arcade like Forza. So do not expect the realistic gameplay that Forza has, but just let me come clean about one fact; This game is, without a question, better than Need for Speed. Just know that there is a optimization issue about the game, that it is locked at 60 fps. No matter how quality your pc, you will play this game at 60 fps. For me, I give this game 8/10.

It's not a bad game, it looks good and there's an extensive selection of cars and stuff to do. But once you get to a certain point it just becomes a boring grind.

There are a bunch of different vehicle types with their own races/challenges and for most of them you really need to level up your vehicle to have a chance in the higher difficulty races. For street race this is not a problem, there are loads of events and you hit the max level parts pretty quickly, for others there are far fewer events so you just have to keep doing the same race over and over if you want to level up. Even if they are fun to begin with they soon get boring.

Take the summit event, you need specific cars to complete events if you want anything more than an xp boost, so you spend 2-3 million on a bunch of cars that you have to have in order to enter most of the races to have a chance of getting more rewards. Unless you've already maxed out the parts on most of the different vehicle types you will not be getting platinum, so you just end up with an xp boost, a few parts and maybe some cosmetics. Each week there is a different summit event and a new bunch of cars are required to enter the events, so you need to grind some more to get the money for those.

I don't regret buying it and I definitely got my moneys worth, but the amount of time it expects you to invest to get those rewards it keeps dangling is just not worth it for me.

Frickin' great racing game. Has an MMO feel to it - Open world, multiplayer lobbies, matchmaking, and a huge variety of vehicle types to race from boats to hover crafts. Co-op racing is perfect in this one as long as one of your crew wins the race you all win the same amount of xp and cash. Parts are up to RNG which is an interesting twist that adds more excitement to victory.

5/10 - Lots to like, but lots to hate. Could have been so much more. Full review below:

= Intro =

Sometimes, I'm in the mood for a racer. I fondly remember the days of NFSU 2, Gran Turismo on the PS and Most Wanted, games that not only lasted me weeks, but gave me new bands to listen to and endless replay value. Had this on my 'to play' list so got around to it. Enjoyed Forza, but it felt a bit flat and I wanted something with a bit more progression.

= Gameplay =

This is a racing game. Vrooom, cars go fast. But it's also a watersports game. And an offroad game. And a rally game. And a flying stunts game. And a flying racer game. And another dozen types of racing/stunt game rolled into one. Oh and also a loot game. You can see the problem immediately.

That said, man - this game does try. And sometimes gets it right. The water racing is immensely fun. Rally racing is great. Motorcross is mostly a blast. The absolute apex of the game for me are the lengthy 'runs' - massive races between cities, that lead you through towns, cities, mountains, forests etc. Glorious.

The weakest part of the game for me has to be the street racing, which isn't the nice, varied, speedy tracks you are likely expecting, but rather boxy, twisty monstrosities filled with right-angle turns. Right off the bat, these were frustrating as heck and some of the later ones will make you want to eat a kitten.

This has to do with the fact that a lot of cars handle like shopping carts and the more expensive ones handle like shopping carts with a jet booster. This game works best with long, open tracks, which sadly are lacking in a lot of styles.

Beyond this, every 'discipline' has it's own set of vehicles and loot. Welcome to the grind overdrive. And this is made worse by the fact that the sheer number of event types means that many only get a handful of races, total.

However the kicker is the AI. It...cheats. Rubberbanding is utterly crazy, especially when you start doing higher difficulty races - but unlike other games, it's only applied to give the AI an advantage. If you fail to drive perfectly on some tracks, the AI will soar past you instantly. Or it may just randomly do that anyway.

However once the AI is ahead, it just keeps on going. This is especially evident in the set-vehicle races where you and the AI have (allegedly) the same vehicles and specs. However, on Ace, you can enjoy the sight of the AI flying into the distance right from the get go, waving and flipping the bird.

This leads to a lot of styles being not only about driving prowess but luck, and finding ways to break the game. Weird, unmarked shortcuts, odd physics and the like. Sigh.

All of that said though, I don't hate this game. When it works, it works like gangbusters. Maybe if they had removed the boring flying stuff and produced double the races for existing styles, this could have been a winner.

= Graphics and Audio =

Visually, this game is a mixed bag. Water is lovely. Weather is beautiful. Lighting can be stunning. But textures are meh and ...wow, do cities look awful. Especially at daytime. Framerates are perfect.

Audio, rather than the mix of metal, rock, punk, rap and EDM you may be expecting is instead a small collection of the blandest EDM known to man.

= Style =

As I've said - too cluttered, too thinly spread.

And the interface/design is a nightmare. Let's say you do a race a few times, restarting immediately after you finish. Your loot goes to the mailbox. You then need to leave the race (loading time), go to a racing base (loading time), walk around, get the mail, exit the base (loading time), go to your home (loading time), walk up to your vehicle stand, change your vehicle (loading time) and then upgrade it.

Welcome to busywork.

But the absolute worst thing for me was discovering, after returning to the game after a long period, that there was no way to reset progress, whatsoever. Meaning if you experiment early and foul things up, there is no way to ever remedy it.

= Value =

To be fair, there is a lot here for the price, especially if you get this game on it's frequent, really good specials.

There are microtransactions, but most of the stuff can be earned in-game. However there is also stuff that can't. And I'm sick of microtransactions in AAA priced games.

= Overall =

+ Many events are insanely fun
+ Original and well implemented loot system
+ 'Run' races are just awesome

- Impossible to ever reset progress/start a new game
- Insanely cheaty AI
- Frustrating street racing
- Awful interface
- Open world feels meaningless
- Spread way too thin
- Ubisoft style microtransactions

At the end of the day, this is a game I really want to like. With a bit more focus, less insane design decisions and some better/more interesting tracks, this could have been amazing. As it is...it's both enjoyable enough to keep me playing and flawed enough to make this hard to recommend.

Omg! Where do i start... i wasnt even a racing kinda guy but this game went fuck that shit..
The game is insanely fun. But buttt if you dont like grindy games this osnt your type of game.
But even then i still love crusing through the insanly big map.
I domt get the hate behind this game and its monitozations cause its very much like seige and other games that do cosmatics only.
Also i heard alot of people complaining about the summit but i bought the game 2 says before a summit and managed to get gold in that summit which even if hard id say rewards the players that have grinded for ages.
Its not like its horrible for new comers too you can jist partcipate and get a bunch of followers which will help you grow.
But once again if you are a kinda person that does not like grind but want to have all the good shit this isnt for you

Gameplay could be better , graphics are blurry and doesn't look too good.
The map is veeeeeeery big and i didn't see anymaps like this before , it takes 60 minutes for driving across the map (128km × 68km)
environmental things are not that good , like buildings , traffic lights and etc .
If you remember driver san francisco , you can compare gameplays , and you will figure out how worse is the crew 2.
there are some minor bugs , but they are not annoying.
It doesn't worth 60$ at all , because it looks like early access games and raw.

This game has received a lot of hate. Personally, I believe a lot of the hate it undeserved, but they can make some good points.

Starting with the pros:
- Vehicle variety and detail. This game has over 300 different vehicles, and personally I believe the detail on the vehicles is out standing, even things as small as bolts for some extended fenders: 10/10

- Vehicle Customisation. Almost all of the vehicles have a wide range of changeable parts. There are many options to choose from in an easy to navigate menu, as well as bonus items that can be rewarded from playing the game by doing daily missions giving you a currency to buy special items such as under glow, custom wheels, tire smoke and more. 9/10

- The Map Size. The map size is where this game stands out above all. In a fast car (280Mph top speed+) with good driving it took me over an hour to travel from the southeast tip to the north west tip. In this map you will find several cities and other land marks along the way, also encountering the occasional player along your journey. The details in the cities are spectacular and the amount of places to go are countless. 10/10

- Multiplayer. The game puts you into a public lobby filled with usually around 3 to 8 other players, communicating with a custom chat menu which prevents and toxicity or bullying. When you want to play alone you can but on the other hand if you are looking to go on a road trip with a friend or do some races with a pal this game has made an easy system for you to do so. 8/10

- Race Variety. Currently in the game there and 16 different Motorsports events to choose from:
-Street Race, Drift, Drag race, Hyper car
-Motor cross, Hovercraft, Rally cross ( off-road ), Rally raid
-Freestyle ( Stunt planes), jet sprint ( Small boat racing ), demo derby, Monster truck
-Touring car, F1, Boat racing, Air race
Along with these you get different skill based activities like Speed-traps and escapes ( furthest distance in a period of time ) as well as Photo ops of landmarks or player scenarios. 10/10

- The Summit. Every week, there is a series of events that you can do competing against other players in order to win prices such as followers, parts or occasionally, cars. This feature gives a deep purpose to this game, and for me a feeling like i need and want to come back to do those races and get those prizes. 10/10

Smaller mentions:

-As you level up, you will receive rewards at certain milestones ( Cars planes boats etc )

And now the Cons:

-Graphics. This game can look beautiful, however a lot of the places feel empty or dull, like they need something extra. Also, the shading was poorly made, with a lot of colours looking flat. Like I said, certain places look fantastic and are very photogenic, however the textures aren't HD and could have more colour. With a simple graphics remake this game could easily be level with GTA V or FH4. 3.5/10

-Sound. Some of the car sounds are well executed, but for the most part they seem dull and like they could be more intense. The vehicles that do sound good are incredible, however a lot of cars that seem powerful get underwhelmed by the sounds coming from the engine. 4/10

-Weather. Now when i say weather I need to make it VERY clear i mean the weather changing, not the visuals. In my opinion, the rain in this game falls just short of GTA V rain puddles in the city at night, but with this game you can be in sunny weather, you go into settings to maybe turn your sound down a little and when you are out of the menu, boom: Thick snow. Even when it changes visibly to the player, it is too fast and too frequent. 5/10

-The Voices. Oh my lord turn off voices and turn on subtitles because the majority of the voices in this game are infuriating and get super annoying super quick. 1.5/10

-The prices. The vehicle prices can be realistic and occasionally generous, with a Buggati Chiron costing 2.4 million, but then when you venture over to the low end of the spectrum like bikes, you start to see prices like 500 grand for a sports bike. It isn't accurate. Another thing to mention is the grind for money. The money received after a race needs to increase, as grinding mindlessly for 3 hours in order to save up 2.4 million like I have done gets quite frustrating, and whilst it normally pays off, the pain you feel inside when you know the only way to get yourself that money you need for your next car is going to take 100 races of the same race is discomforting and off-putting.

Important note: i see a lot of people talking about rubber banding and i need to say i have never experienced this. I often finish races 10-30 seconds ahead when i use my super fast vehicles, and on other races like the 40 minute race it is often minutes ahead. If there was rubber banding, how could the times they are behind me be so large?

To summarise, I am saying this game is worth it, but keep it in your wishlist until it is on a sale to make up for the cons you may experience in this game.
