Hello everyone,

We want to share with you our goals and things we want to add to Taora in the near future. Taora is our first game released on Steam and we're really passionate about making it a great game. There are many things we plan to implement, as a small team, we need some time to accomplish these.

  • Points of Interest updates: Locations on the map (junkyard, sawmill, drive-in theater, police station, hospital, bunker and port etc.) will be more interactive. Most of these places will have unique mechanics such as puzzles you have to solve, repair some parts, use items you found to gain entrance etc. Also, we will add region-specific items to these places so looting one place would differ much from looting another place.
  • New Vehicles: New vehicles will be added to the game, and some of the existing ones will be used in different situations (We might use tow truck or semi-truck with trailer to transport some objects that are needed for base upgrades).
  • Enemy Camps: After clearing enemy camps, you will be able to take over those areas. After taking over, you will get rewards regularly. If you don’t provide security to those areas after taking over, you may lose them.
  • Trading and Friendly Camps: In addition to enemy camps, more friendly camps will be added, and you will be able to trade with these areas.
  • Character Creator: You will be able to create your own male and female characters as you wish.
  • Melee Combat: Variety of attack and finisher animations will be added.
  • NPC Interactions: We will increase the interaction animations of NPCs in our base and enable them to have dialogues with us.
  • Vehicle Modifications: There will be more variety in vehicle modifications and you will be able to see performance stats of the vehicle. (Top speed, acceleration, braking etc.)
  • Zombies: Current zombies will be reworked and new types of zombies and new zombie bosses will be added.
  • Steam Achievements: Steam achievements will be added.
  • Injuries: Bleeding, injuries, hunger, and lack of sleep will lead to different health problems.
  • Item Durability: Weapons and clothing will no longer last forever. You will need to repair weapons and clothing to keep using them.
  • Recycling: You can recycle unused items into parts and use those parts to craft new materials.
  • Zombie Hordes: Your base will no longer be as safe. Zombies and raiders can attack your base and if your base is not protected enough, they can steal your loot or injure your survivors.
  • Fishing: For users tired of the chaos of zombies, a fishing feature will be added.
  • Radiation: Radiation zones will be added to the game. Gas masks or protection suits can be used to explore these zones without harm.
  • More Options: Options such as day cycle length, difficulty levels and more options will be adjustable by players.
  • Inventory Management: Inventory sorting and filtering will be added.
  • Crafting and Loot Rebalancing: Crafting and looting in the game will be rebalanced.
  • Companions: You will be able to take a companion with you.
  • Pets: You will be able to own pets and take them as a companion. They will be able to bring loot to you from nearby sources while you explore.
  • Skills: New skills will be added.
  • Controller Support: Controller support will be added to the game.

With these features, we aim to make Taora more exciting and interactive. Please let us know if you have any questions and stay tuned for more updates!
Thank you,
