Stronghold Kingdoms ist ein client-basiertes Online-Spiel, dass die erfolgreiche Stronghold-Reihe fortsetzt, die im Oktober 2001 das Genre der Aufbau Strategiespiele um den mittelalterlichen Burgenbau und sämtliche dazugehörige wirtschaftliche, kulturelle, militärische und alltägliche Aspekte erweiterte.

Erstmals gibt es ein Burgen-MMO, in dem du mit tausend Burgherren miteinander interagieren kannst. Du baust, erweiterst und eroberst mit zunehmender Macht Dörfer und Städte, baust mächtige Burgen und Angriffsmaschinerien und erkundest die unterschiedlichsten Themenbereiche eines riesigen Forschungbaumes. Dir stehen unzählige Möglichkeiten des strategischen Vorgehens zu Verfügung: Handel, Kampf, Landwirtschaft oder Spionage sind nur einige Beispiele der Spezialisierungsmöglichkeiten. Den entsprechenden Einsatz von Blut und Schweiß vorausgesetzt kannst du dich hocharbeiten – bis du schließlich zum König gekrönt wirst.

Das Spiel ist schön und ist auch Langlebig aber Support gibt es keinen, da der Support überlastet ist (es dauert mehrere Tage bis Supportfragen beantwortet werden). Um fairness in diesem Spiel zu wahren sollte dieses spiel ein Schutzsystem beeinhalten, dass z.b. ein Kronprinz nicht einem Page oder Knappe sein Hauptdorf vernichten und übernehmen kann, da du mit dem im vergleich niedrigen Level keine Chance hast.

Dafür das es das Spiel schon so lange gibt, ist es erschreckend, dass es andauernd abstürzt weil Dateien nicht gefunden werden können, jedes mal eine andere. UNSPIELBAR

Guten Tag,

also mag zwar Pay2Win sein, aber wenn man Begriffe wie Gemeinde oder so hat dann sollte man schon Leute dort Willkommen heißen. Bei mir war es so irgendso ein komischer Ritter Typ meinte ich dürfte mir nicht ein weiteres Dorf kaufen etc nur wenn diese Erlaubt ist von einer ''Haus irgednwas Führung'' (dazu steht nichts in den Spielregeln etc).

Anstatt mich einfach leer zuspielen also alle Dörfer einzunehmen musste er 15x Angriff spammen um zu zeigen wie groß seine Internet Eier sind. Traurig und sowas nennt sich ''Ritter''.

Ehrenlos ist da wohl eher der bessere Begriff für solche unnötigen Aktionen.

Für Einsteiger also nicht zu empfehlen und Leute die Spielspaß wollen auch nicht also würde ich allen raten ein großen Bogen um dieses Spiel zu gehen und am besten die anderen Stronghold Teile zu spielen.

Das Spiel an sich gefällt mir als Fan des Strongholds Franchises. Das was dieses Spiel nicht mehr Spielenswert macht ist das die Kriege mittlerweile so dreckig geführt werden. Vor oder während eines laufenden Krieges wird das Meldesystem des Supports Missbraucht um die Gegenspieler zu speeren.
Kommen wir nun zum Support. Dieser scheint jedem Spieler wohlgesonnen zu sein welche sehr VIEL Geld in dieses investieren. Die Regeln welche eigentliche für alle Spieler gelten müssten zählen NUR für das normale Bauernvolk welche das Spiel ohne groß zu investieren genießen möchten.
Nun wo ich mich über den Support ausgelassen habe kommen wir zur Community.
Die Community befindet sich in einem negativen Wachstum. Das liegt an den oben genannten Speeraktionen und daran das Spieler vergrault werden.
Der einzige Grund warum die Welten überhaupt noch vorwärts kommen ist das gefühlt 90% der Community aus Multiaccounts besteht. (Regelverstoß)
Man kann sich nicht mehr sicher sein ob die Leute mit denen du spielst nicht der Multi eines Spielers ist der dir in kürze ein Messer in den Rücken rammt.

I would absolutely not recommend this game -in fact I'd recommend you stay away from it. It is not like the original game and is an ultimate waste of time. It is deliberately addictive and expensive if you allow it to be. It interferes with your life because you have to keep on playing it to make sure that your time and effort is not wasted. Ultimately they take everything away from you when the game ends and anything you have acquired or bought and not used is lost. Genius by the makers but awful for the players. Yes, I have spent a long time playing it, entirely my fault, because it is so addictive and I have neglected a lot of things in my life because of it. Never again.

Didn't even make it out of the tutorial before the game encountered an error, and crashed - specifically when I was prompted to click the popularity tab. Anyways, gonna just play one of the O.G. Stronghold games instead. Seems moderately promising, but moving on. Enjoy!

Really depends on who is playing this game. For me it was too addicting- it was the first thing I did when I came to the computer and also the last when I left the computer. Two months flew by, I got my villages recked and got the time to reconsider if I wanted to continue. I guess I did get some fun out of it and chatted with a few players, but still too big of a time sink.

when this first released i couldnt have been more pleased with this game it was the best free to play strategy game period,but after the amazing start this game have become utter garbage pay 2 win... dont try it !

As long as you sub (roughly 8$ per month) it's not bad, it's a RTS MMO that you can play on your phone and pc; this is the least P2W game of its type (if you compare it to mobile games) and has the most in depth strategy by far.

I actually have fun with it; you can design your character and their family crest, village/castle design matters, formal and informal alliances/saying Hi to your neighbors matter, research trees unlock different viable playstyles.

It's a bit slow paced, but it's relaxing. Considering you can pay a cheap sub and get significantly more out of it than a far less complex mobile game, it's pretty good but mainly it's actually fun once you get going and understand how to play. (Hint: you lvl up with honor, so focus on village happiness and honor multipliers at first)

The people who make the game don't respond to any issues... Also if you have an email set up, be sure to keep it! I have an email, but it's no longer in service, and you can't enter a new email!

SHK while being a stronghold game is extremely slow paced since it's pushed with a P2W MMO model from 11 years ago. It is possible to grind without parting with cash, however it seems like it will take forever to get somewhere on your own.

That being said you might find you can get far further playing with other players, however that means communicating with them and ingame while there is plenty of forums/chat and post places it's non-existent. So if you intend to play with others, you need to join the game with them.

Personally I never really enjoyed the endurance model (Having to login daily) of such games, so I'm not recommending it from that stance. Don't of course let that judgement effect any decisions you make.

Final Score: 2 (2.5 would have been the overall score for the game using the average of the scoring criteria but utilizing reviewers preference I rounded down to 2. With that being said you can see I spent almost 500 hours playing this game so it is fun for what it is but there are aspects that are frustrating and so I would not recommend this to everyone)

1 - Do not waste your time
2 - If you get it for free try it and see if you like it.
3 - Worth a play.
4 - Great game, give it a try.
5 - BUY THIS GAME YESTERDAY!

The Good:
- Can be played on PC and/or phone and tablet. This allows you to stay up to date and current in game events and maintain your cities, parishes, counties, and more.
The Bad:
- Unfortunately the game is dominated by large alliances of players and players that spend truck loads of money on buying cards to increase there tactics and strength of units, making the game (although expensive to the player who utilizes the purchasing of these cards) a pay to win user and can be frustrating when you know if they had to compete on equal playing field, you could have out strategized and out played them.

Gameplay: 2
The game is rather straightforward but for you to really enjoy the game for what it is you will need to find an alliance to join and be a part of, to ensure their safety and your own. You can play by yourself and utilize diplomacy in tribute to enemy players who seek to destroy you if you do not comply with their demands. With that being said the city and castle building aspect in conjunction with sieging and defending against sieges to your castle is rather fun! The also have worlds where you can dominate your own country or city that you live in on Earth! Not having premium time does not allow you to que up research, or buildings which can be very tedious to manage if you want to maximize downtime. The game can be a very slow playstyle; it’s really a game that allows you to have progression even when your not playing if you manage things properly.

Graphics: 3
Nothing to rave, could be better, but efficient and satisfying to maintain engagement with visuals for the player.

Price (Initial purchase, cost, in game purchases, DLCs, subscription fees, etc.): 2
Its free to play but you really are going to want to get the Starter Pack or pay for Premium Time Tokens to enjoy the game for what it is. With that being said, do not waste your money until you play it for at least 2-3 days and decide if you want to continue after that, by buying the starter pack and/or premium tokens if you do. Lastly, this game is pay to win through the use of card packs and playing cards to add to your army, make it faster, stronger, and give you more hit points to your castle, instant repair of your castle etc.

Sound (Music and Sound Effects): 3
I think the music and sound effects are perfect and satisfying for the game. Could maybe have included more songs for the music playlist but really well done for the game overall.

Storyline: N/A
No storyline, its not the type of game that would have one so I will not rate this as apart of the final score.

Don't let the 5.1 hours on Steam fool you. I used to be a beta-tester for this game ages ago before it ever came to Steam, and i can see that it hasn't improved at all over the past 9 years.

The game is fully Pay 2 Win. Even back in the day there were these few whales with thousands upon thousands of units dominating resources and map locations harassing and indiscriminately burning other players (myself included) Would not recommend for those who don't want to shell out money.

this game sucks, people cheat and owners can't do anything about it because they need to find out who has the bots and who doesn't. you have to stay online all the time and if you don't, you risk to lose your villages. It's a pay to win game and if u don't spent money in this game u are a weakling... just don't play this sh°t

This game can be a lot of fun if not taken too seriously, but if you are wanting to compete with others and try your best to do well don't bother playing this game as it is only a pay to win where your opponent's biggest asset is not their skill, but their wallet.

Its a nice little time killer, however its major p2w, full of cheating bots, and there was a major data breach exposing my email and passwords, without even notifying me, that I had to discover myself just now after 3 years when it actually happened -_-

Ludicrously fun when you have a massive clan that uses this as a career. Otherwise it's completely pay to win, you can buy entire armies, buy things to just skip any form of work, buy things to get ahead of everyone. So yeah, you want to grind you say? You can grind all this stuff without paying right? Well what if I told you those same players can take those months of progress and wipe you out in seconds because you are stuck with a small garrison and just some stone walls and maybe a few turrets. Well, that sucks, because goddamn Gorbachev comes over here with 40 catapults and like a billion soldiers to burn down your little outpost. See the problem? Takes them hours to get to what takes you months, and it takes even less time to take all your stuff away. So if you do play, find the strongest player near you, and kiss ass. Try to negotiate some way to become a tributary, because otherwise you're done.

The newest tactic being used by players is to mass report a player and accuse them of cheating, wait until the game system blocks that players account then attack and destroy everything that players own while laughing about his friends scramble to understand.

The worst of it is Firefly doesn't even want to do proper investigations about received reports, they just auto ban everything, no proof is needed, no effort taken on their part to verify the reports and protect the players from being falsely accused.

Firefly has literally said we have to ban an account before we can investigate, so basically if you didn't actually do anything to cheat or deserve the ban, it doesn't matter because the damage is already done, and there response is oh well not our problem.

Not to mention their outdated rules, if you use a dynamic VPN, don't bother you will get banned. If you use a card to speed up your scouts and do a lot of quest all at once , don't bother you will get banned. If use your armies to its maximum capability, don't bother you will get banned. If you are a good player and do good progress in the game, don't bother you will get banned. If your in a war and you finally gained the upper hand on your enemy, don't bother you will get banned.

Nothing will protect you, Firefly will not protect you, your friends can't protect you, your money can't protect you, your lawyer can't protect you.

Note: I use the standalone client hence why my hour count is so low.

I have to be brutally honest with anyone who is thinking about trying this game. I've been playing it for 10-11 years. It started out fun and enjoyable. I like the entire series of Stronghold. Once they released it on steam it opened the flood gates to heavy cheating like botting, modified clients, etc.

The current state of the game is that only 2 types of people can survive and enjoy it.
(1) heavy carders. I would estimate $100-150 a month to keep pace.
(2) multiple accounts and the use of botting as the alternative. It reduces amount of cards you buy

Fair warning if you are not either of these two types. Anyone that is extreme at either or both will absolutely stomp you. Pay2Win or Cheat2Win.

international worlds are full of botters (trade-bot, scout-bot, monk bot, and much more), and normal worlds are also getting compromised with it way too much. playing since 2012 but can't recommend it to anyone anymore. just a pain to see that for 10€/m you can get ANYTHING done by a bot, including seeing things normal user can't see (type of army, last activity of players,...). it is ridiculous

The game is somewhat fun but all the hard work you put in will always end up pointless due to multi account exploiters.

Game is heavy pay to win. The bigger spenders will use cash to accelerate thier towns and ranks and take kingships and you cant stop them.

Also customer support is a joke, They dont care what you do as long as you keep paying them. Basicly a game for aholes with money to burn

Don't. First it downloads ~500mb on first launch. Then it requires an e-mail address to play. Feels like a form of e-mail harvesting to me. Accounts can be tied to the steam account. No need to ask for an e-mail.

Is it fun? - Probably
Is it pay to win? - Heavily

Can you achieve things things same as pay to win? - Yes
Can you beat p2w players if you play 24/7 without spending a single $? - No
It's a game you will master and spend a lot of hours on, just to get kicked in the nuts who spent more than you.
Players who spend money on this game are gods, and even if you get 20 players to help you fight these guys you will be unsuccessful.
Furthermore all the updates keep increasing to the advantages on spending players, and removing ways for non-spenders to get something.
There are way better games with less money involved.
Mobile games are even better than this.

I personally hate firefly. after what they done to SHK. Their money lust made me hate them. money money money money money p2w p2w p2w p2w p2w. IMPORTANT: You will always be *DOMINATED* by pay2win players no matter what your play style is. unless you start pay half of your wage.

Even if you are rich, Admin friendly enemies are everywhere and they will get you banned so they can easly raze your villages no matter how rich, tough, clever you are. theres no power over admin friends.

There are hundreds of games similar in mobiles but not craving for money to play basic game functions.

I really dont know where to begin with those work ethics of this company. Let me try

-You can buy card points from some shady gentlemen from russia, of course to be eligible for this, you have to already spent a fortune(around $10k) buying crown points. Then you can buy $1500 worth of card points for $150(only for VIPs ofc). When people rebelled in forums when this came out, what did ff do? Nothing. They didnt even ban people with 100s of thousands cardpoints which is obvious they didnt get it with buying official crown points. Or erase them cardpoints. But they did ban all players that used an in-game spin glitch to gain advantage against other players. They can do when they want obviously.

-You can get people banned if you pay enough depending their rank and activity level. Yeah if i dont like you i can pay $50 to ban you permanently. If you are a leader of a house and one of the most influencial players, then it is $500. But still doable. And because of ban policy of ff, you can get no answer for what you get banned. Because in their ticket system, there is a ban appeal department which replies they are not able to reply to individual requests regarding account restrictions. Is that a joke? It really must be. As I understand we should sue class actions to ask reasons!

-There were reports about 3rd party alerter discord bots which alerts you when you get attacked, who is attacking and what type of attack you get. So you can only get worrıed if it is capture or raze. Dont care if others. When people reported it on forums, they told this app doesnt do anything different than client report system. Which it does. You cant tell what attack type is it in client.

-There is no way to play without putting cash in. Dont get riddiculed about free2play concept. It is not. It is the most heavy pay2win system i've ever seen. And boy i've seen them all. To explain that a little; there are card packs in game you can only get with money. If you dont pay ff gives you 1-2 cards a day for free. If you pay $160, you get 1968 cards!(Good luck with your 2 cards which will probably turn out to be some useless card. Cards give bonuses like 6x scout speed or 6x army speed and vice versa. Do you understand this? It is not %10 or %20 advantage. It is %200-%600 advantage. There is literally no freakin way to compete with that. You cant time attacks because everyone uses cards for speed, you cant scout and bring stashes because they have scouts on rockets. You cant be in war without gun production(2x-6x) cards. Or cant build your village and castle without speed cards. Let me tell you this, without cards a competetive castle is built in 30 days. 30 real life days. With cards it takes only 10 seconds. Also with cards, you can make your castles 2x stronger. How is that? Did you like it?

-Even if you want to pay, there is no price differences between countries according to their purchasing power parity. Let me explain this. 3150 cp is $160. It is %13 of the minimum wage per month there. And in my country which i wont disclose, it is %60. Good luck competing with players from switzerland.

-There has been no content change for 8 years. Which is when the game released. None, nothing new about game features. Only new maps with different modifiers and scales. No new unit emerged, no new building, no new graphical update, no nothing. God, it is the same graphics of stronghold 1. Which released 19 YEARS AGO!

You should understand this game is cash cow for firefly. They dont need to update or even monitor. There is a server somewhere which collected dust over years and luckily didnt crash yet which still makes huge amounts of money because of unfairness between f2p and p2w. Noone who wants to enjoy the game can play it for free. And even if you pay, your fate is in hands of a moderator who thinks your traders look like a bot(which they also feature this if you buy premium days from them, they have ducking auto-sell feature in their game!) or scouts are too active for 2 hours(which again they feature this with premium)

I did try to enjoy it because im playing with my brother but i cant take this anymore. I quit

Technically not a bad game but completely driven by money. All of the 'top' players spend big to get cards and then crush non-spenders. One player spent >$1000 to take over parish within 24 hrs of starting their village. Went from level 1 to level 13. This would take 2+ weeks without spending money. Stay away unless you have a big pocketbook.

A lot of cheaters and game admins don't do anything to stop them. They ban people out of the blue, without stating a reason, even after you spend hundreds of dollars buying crowns (legally). You can also buy card points for a much lower price if you know people who know people (illegally) and this is most certainly a FireFly employee selling the points.

You cheat - you win servers.
You play according to the rules of the actual game - you get banned so the cheaters can win.

This game whilst fun is unfortunately insanely broken, I used to play it 7 years ago and it was tremendously fun. I came back nearly a year back and many things have changed. Some of the things that make the game fundamentally unfair is the unofficial additions to the game. Certain people have access to a (hacker/admin/cheat?) to buy card points directly, these CPs skew the game heavily against the average player. To make matters worse, Firefly is completely negligent, it borderlines on criminal negligence and tax fraud. If you're new-please do not waste your time with this once great and enjoyable game.

have been playing this over 10 years
and game is complete shite
few reasons
1. alt accounts
2. bot(scouting, trading iding villages basicly does everything for you) they dont want to do anything about and they dont care
3. lex flux and his selling of ingame currency (cardpoints) but not official selling more likely admin selling under the table, or firefly selling to avoid taxes
4. admin siding with one group of people and winning server after server ( banning all the opposition, no reasons for ban)
5. ticket system ... mentioned it in 4 they ban you without any proofs, (same guy whos selling card points cant get you banned for 500 dollars)
6. they are deleting all the posts about this on forums and on their fb page
7. same group of people using discord bot (alarms them about everything on the map, any attack send what is the attack for)
8. will never buy any firefly game ever,.. your time ended in 2002 with stronghold crusader

I have played this game since W7 but time is now up playing this game as you can now pay money to have accounts banned so who would want to do that and as firefly wont do anything well that says it all and who would invest a lot of time and effort into a game that you can pay money to a admin in firefly to ban players accounts. I would not wish that on my enemy so for me the game is done and also would i buy other firefly games i would have to think twice as they have show a disrespect to players by not resolving this.

The game was really fun until all of a sudden a special premium token ran out that i didn't even know existed. This token exempted you from the negative effects of the world around you. bandit camps, wolf dens, disease in a close town, etc, all decrease your popularity in game. popularity is what allows you to get new villagers. with all of those effects it puts your popularity in the negative, which takes villagers away over time. This along with a bunch of other annoying mini perks just vanished.
Yes its a free game but just have people buy the game if you need money to support it. Don't tell people its a free game and then ruin their progress after saying you need to basically subscribe to the game through premium tokens.
TL;DR
Pay to win after a few days of play. Near unplayable without external help.

This game is the prime example of a pay to win game. The map is dominated by a select few players who probably shelled out god knows how many dollars so they could occupy the entire map. The build times and research times quickly become a problem. The times increase exponentially and they eventually take days. The castle designer is even worse. It takes 30 or more days to build a castle that's even remotely defensible. If you're willing to shell out hundreds of dollars and sell your soul then by all means, try this game. If you are a human being with a brain on your shoulders and a heart for games then steer clear of this game.

I've played this game for years. I do tend to get bored when I get a bunch of villages going cuz I can't really keep up, but that's probably just a personal problem. The game in itself is amazing, plus it has a mobile version so even if you're not at home you can take care of your villages / towns / allies.

Ladies and Gents this is the harsh truth about this game..Apart from being a really nice and addicting game that you wanna play more and more and if you forget about the pay2win which can be countered if you have a big group of friends.. here comes the SAD TRUTH about this game :
There are so many cheaters (and i will explain what i mean by that) that i seriously regret any second and any € i have spent in this game...and also i can provide evidence of all these :)
First of all there is a BOT usage that allows you to do everything in this game automatically... Build villages - trade - scout - attack ... EVERYTHING ! and most importantly interdict automatically when someone tries to attack you and radars all attacking activities against your villages as well as ur Capitals.
Furthermore there is a BOT server for your whole faction- House where with 10€ per month you can monitor any hostile activity against your teammates but also with detail . For those who actually know the game you would realise that you cant know the element of the attack you are getting unless it lands on your village ( e.g Vandalise - Pillage or captain Raze - Capture ) Well the bot server tells you exactly what it is as well as it gives you information about gold pillaging of your parishes or capitals...
And lets say you get all these on your hands and you are on PAR with the enemy team.. well its not enough my friends cause there is another great cheating system..
Due to the coding of the game there is a Russian guy that is selling 85k Card Points for 100 $ .. To make you realise the difference if you buy 100$ of Crowns during a 50% increased crowns period the amount of Card Points you can get will reach roughly the 20k... that means they are getting 4 times the amount you purchase with the same money...
The game is BROKEN !
UNINSTALL AND MOVE ON TO A BETTER COMMUNITY!
And if you decide you still wanna play this cheat engine... i will give you some names so if you find them ingame know who is the biggest cheater in your server.

and the list can go on and on .
There are many people who has reported these guys so much and Firefly does nothing about it.. So before you begin this game , think a lot if you wanna put your self in this position of such a broken/cheating community.

All that happens is people who out rank you demand you follow their every command and if you don't (and even if you do) all they do is come and destroy every village and all the work you have done. They all think they are the greatest players at this game but they run multiple accounts or force their friends to give them all resources because they are too pathetic to actually beat another player of the same rank. So instead they demand you give them all your resources and if you don't they destroy you until someone else has control and will give them all the resources.

Decent game at first. Join a faction if you don't want randos to attack you at first opportunity. However when war starts where you are be prepared to lose everything. even if you aren't in it you will lose it all. months to build it minutes to lose it. very fustrating would not recommend. p.s it says 2800+ hours a lot of that if the launcher open in the background. for some reason steam has issues starting it on my PC so with launcher open it stays fine

And everyone who wants to win uses bots as well

Pay to Win...
I have never seen a game that was more pay to win than this.
Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. Not so much as the only game you play. But as a secondary game. I´ve been playing this, on-off since the alpha back in 2010. Its fun to start on a new world. And the raise to be the best in the parish, best in the state and so on.. But I'm not that rich, that I want to pay a lot of money as some players will do. I just quit again. Since I lost my main village on day 16. It's REALLY not motivating to continue. Another dude just south of me was already a prince with 14 villages. Day 16!?
Sure I have used my fair share of cards, faster scouts and what not. But when another faction/group wants to destroy you... No amount of money can save you in this game.

And to be honest. I'm really disappointed with the game developers. There have not been many updates to the game. Same troops and same research tree since 2010. Come on? If there were a lot of different troops I will be okay with it. But the same few troops. And since Saladin got introduced, no mercenaries or anything?
