Die Star Wars-Saga geht weiter - mit Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II, dem sehnlichst erwarteten Nachfolger zu dem Star Wars-Spiel, das sich schneller verkaufte als jedes andere - und das weltweit mehr als sieben Millionen mal. The Force Unleashed 2, ist echt kein schlechtes Spiel. Wirklich empfehlen kann man es aber nicht, weil:
- Beschränkung auf 30 FPS, maximal sind 40 möglich. Bei mehr FPS wird die Physik buggy und das Game unspielbar.
- Abstürze und Freezes, gerade gegen Ende des Spiels sehr häufig, Reflektionen abzustellen scheint besserung zu bringen, stürzt dann aber trotzdem noch ab.
- Der Level in dem man Yoda treffen soll, endete (vielleicht nur bei mir) abpruppt und das nächste Level wurde gestartet
- Der Surround Sound ist auf Stereo beschränkt, auf 7.1 hört man so gut wie nix mehr
- Nervend langer Endkampf gegen Vader (Phase 1)
- Quick Time Events, damals wie heute nervig, zumal in diesen Teil die zu klickenden Buttons winzig klein oben, unten, links, rechts eingeblendet werden.
- Sehr Kurze Kampagne (nichtmal sechs Stunden), DLCs der Konsolen Version gab's nie für PC, daher ist auch der Preis unverschämt hoch.

Bedingt zu Empfehlen für beinharte Star Wars Fans, weil:
+ Bombastische Inszenierung und zwar von Anfang an, fast das ganze Spiel durch!
+ Toller Star Wars typischer Soundtrack
+ Spaßige Hack & Slay Kämpfe
+ Filmreife Cutscenes
+ Tolle Bossgegner (außer Darth Vader)
+ Starkiller ist eine verdammt gute Spielfigur

Fazit: Wären die Abstürze und die viel zu Kurze Spielzeit nicht, hätte ich einen Daumen hoch gegeben. SO aber nicht. Deshalb meine Wertung:

Fühlt sich stark arkademässig an. Trotz des eher mässigen Gameplays durchaus im Sale alleine schon wegen der coolen Story zu empfehlen. Leichter STAR WARS Kost für zwischendurch.

Der erste Teil hat mir wirklich Spaß gemacht und war sowohl vom Gameplay als auch der Story echt cool. Natürlich will man da den Nachfolger spielen, allerdings war ich nach 4 Stunden komplett durch und das obwohl ich in einigen Passagen mehrere Anläufe gebraucht habe. Das Spiel ist also VIEL VIEL VIEL zu kurz.

Dazu kommt dass das Kampfsystem nicht mehr so nice ist. Man hat einfach weniger Fähigkeiten als im ersten Teil und auch die Quicktimeevents in den Kämpfen sind absolut langweilig im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger. Wenn dann wenigstens mal die Story gut wäre...

ACHTUNG SPOILER: [spoiler] In der Unwissenheit, ob wir nun ein Klon von Starkiller sind oder doch der echte, rennen wir durch ein paar Level auf der suche nach Juno (unsere geliebte). Dabei dreht sich alles nur darum, dass wir wissen wollen wo sie ist und alles andere ist Starkiller egal. Letzendlich hat Vader sie als Köder gefangen genommen und lockt uns zu ihm nach Kamino. Dort haben wir dann einen extrem langweiligen Kampf gegen ihn und nachdem wir gewonnen haben, dürfen wir zwischen Dark und Lightside wählen. Wirkt nach einem coolen Story Element, doch wählt man Darkside, wird man kurzerhand doch noch umgebracht und Vader schickt einen Klon von Starkiller um alle Rebellen zu töten. ENDE. - Im Lightside Szenario verhaften wir Vader und unsere totgeglaubte Juno waacht plötzlich wieder auf, gibt uns einen romantischen Kuss, bevor wir mit Vader im Gepäck den Heimflug antreten. ENDE. [/spoiler]

Total langweilig, Klischeehaft und ein nicht zufriedenstellendes Ende.

Das einzige was wirklich positiv ist: Man hat jetzt 2 Lichtschwerter und kann verschiedene Farben Kombinieren, was ziemlich geil aussieht.

Fazit:
Spielt den ersten Teil lieber noch einmal, aber das hier lohnt sich echt nicht.

Starkiller ist in seinem Element. Das Game ist nicht das neuste aber es hat doch deutlich Spaß gemacht. Zum Release Datum mit eins der besten Star Wars Games. Soundtrack passt (es ist Start Wars, na klar), Atmosphäre ist auch super und je nach Schwierigkeit ist es nicht so einfach sich durch die Level zu kämpfen. Zum damaligen Zeitpunkt eine super Grafik, bombastischer Effekte und einfach coole Lichtschwert Kämpfe!

Eine super Fortsetzung vom 1. Teil! Sollte man mal gespielt haben.

Möge die Macht mit dir sein!

That is my first review and I write it since I am extremly anoyed by the many crashes of this game. Also the level design is very uncreative, the story is lame and short. I like the gameplay, but there was no change to the first title. So play Force Unleashed I but you don't need to play this second one.

Leider muss Ich selbst als riesiger Star Wars Fan zugeben, dass The Force Unleashed II eine Enttäuschung ist.

Die Story ist zum großen Teil absurd und die Spieldauer ist ein Witz.

Schaut Euch lieber den ersten Teil an, damit werdet Ihr wesentlich mehr und auch länger Spaß haben.

Eigentlich ist es ja ein spannendes, Actionreiches aber auch leider kurzes Spiel. Die Grafik und die Cutscenes sind super dennoch gibt es da einen Punkt der das ganze Spiel zerstört: Chrashes...und davon nicht wenige, fast nach jeder Mission ist das Spiel abgestürzt. Ich komme Mittlerweile auch nicht nach Kamino, da mein Spiel nach der Cutscene sofort crasht. 7 Mal habe ich es jetzt versucht und gebe so langsam aber sicher die Hoffnung auf und da das Spiel von 2010 ist erwarte ich auch keine Bugfixes. Schade eigentlich, das ist mal wieder so ein Spiel das EIGENTLICH ganz cool ist, man aber viel zu wenig für das Spiel getan hat: -VIEL zu kurze Story und -VIEL zu viele chrashes.
Hatte aber trotzdem, wenn man die crashes nicht mit bedenkt, echt viel Spaß.

Good game, but it is too easy
You just need to spam the block key and dash and you pretty much won
The first game is better because you can see the healthbars and actually know if they are gonna die soon.
The force lighting has been debuffed so much that it is nothing more than poking someone with a toothpick
The quick time events are all over the screen so they are just super annoying
The leveling system is kinda dumb.
It is more like a DLC than a new game.
Story kinda sucks, most of the time you are just all over the place, like one moment your on Kamino, the next your on a floating city.
The final boss is literally easier than the first one.
It just spams the block.
The story also just ends at a random moment.
If you want a fun game that will last you a good chunk of time, do republic commando.
20 bucks wasted on a game that is trash.
That is like 10+ reasons the game is horrible.
Really wish I could get a refund, but then again, what could you spend it on?

The game mechanics have definitely been improved over its predecessor. And the story is pretty compelling. My only complaint is that the game is so short that it leaves the player wanting much more. If the development team had spent another year adding more worlds, and writing more of the story then it would have been an improvement over the first game across the board. Unfortunately, that's not what we got. It's still a very fun game and I recommend picking it up to play if it's on sale, but don't expect a long continuation of the story or very many different levels.

I consider myself a fairly experienced, albeit casual gamer, and I was able to beat the game in around four hours.

the graphics have gotten pretty descent overhaul, but there is some minor and at times frustrating bugs at various cutscenes, that make the game crash from time to time(its fixable by a quick google-ing and find out how to shut off cutscene if it gets to much of a problem), even though the game isnt as long as the previous: the force unleashed, there is a great challenge when playing at hard(as i do/did)

coming from a gamer who recently played the entire Devil May Cry series, this game is a breath of fresh air. The Force Unleashed 2 is a good game, especially for Star Wars fans like myself included. But in this review i will be talking about the good things and the bad things of this port of the game.

The game's overall gameplay is very easy, well of course it is since like i said the i played the DMC games before i played this, trust me when i say the gameplay the controls are easy, so rest assured that it is not very sophisticated like Devil May Cry. And also they reason why i said the game is a breath of fresh air after playing DMC is because DMC is more combo centric than this game which is a run of the mill hack-and-slash

The game's graphics are very good or a game that is 10 years old already. But the game does have one recurring problem and that is gliches and crashing, ive owned this game for atleast 1-2 days and it already crahed mid gameplay 4 times and also there are times that so effects look like it's missing some textures. The fire effects appear like in pixels.

Now to me this is my biggest gripe for this game. The replayability. this game has zero replayability yes you can gte all the kyber krystals and thats it. There are costumes yes but thats it. Now you may say that there is the Endor DLC but unfortunately the Endor DLC is not available on the PC version, oyes you heard me right, the Endor DLC is not available. For the legth of the game you can finish this in about a day if you can

Overall the game is good, i highly suggest it but done expect to play it a lot after you finished playing the entire campaign

The PC port (like many other ports) is really bad, and my game just crashes in the first level at a certain point. I 100% recommend this game if you buy it on Xbox or PlayStation, or if you can manage to get it running on PC, but I can't so I cannot personally recommend the PC port version

Like a lot of people have already said, the story is way too short. I mean it would be one thing if it was short but sweet, but the fact is, the game is super unpolished, buggy, and crashes if you blink at it wrong. Don't get me wrong, I love the idea and the fights can be pretty fun, but dang if this doesn't feel like a really weak nostalgic fan game at times.

I recall enjoying this one quite a bit back when it came out for the PS3, but I can't really recommend it nowadays. The PC port is lacking (capped at 30 FPS, will crash if alt-tab & weird UI behavior when changing resolution, texture and model popping everywhere, weird shadows and lighting in a lot of areas, etc)...

I am a bit late to review STAR WARS: The Force Unleashed II on Steam from my original playthrough but at the time of my experience the game held up well and did not crash. Unfortunately looking at other user reviews at the time of me writing this it seems like the game has started to crash quite often and although that wasn't my experience I think buyers should be aware of this problem.

If you want to play this game just make sure you beat The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition first and lets be honest, you were probably going to play this game regardless of what the reviews said.

I loved playing though this game. I can't remember if I'd gotten a chance to play through this one back in the day, but I love it now. The variety of enemies compared to the first game definitely added to the experience. I had a single crash, but I have no clue what could've caused it.
I enjoyed everything about this game.

A very good storyline and the fighting is fun. There are some annoying fights like when you're surrounded by Acolyte and clankers. The final battle is an epic battle too. Some might say it's a little drawn out, but it's still a great battle. The endings leave a little to be desired like a Force Unleashed III where you can choose either the light, or dark side. Definitely get this game if you're looking for story, and just want a good time!

very buggy and badly ported to PC, the running sections in particular are really poor and often the cutscenes fail so you get no story to connect the levels. Frequently crashes

horrible boss battles (besides darth vader that one was ok) and a short as shit game. good thing i got this on sale because i would feel ripped of if i payed $15 for this.

Edit: At the time I made this review I was having a lot of trouble getting the cutscenes to work. since then I got them working by changing the resolution to 1920 X 1080 in the games settings. The game is now a 8/10 because I was able to fix the cutscene problem. You can see what I originally wrote before this edit below.

The game Is great and plays great however there are two problems that makes the Steam/PC release worse the the original PS3, XBox360, & Wii releases. The first major problem is the cutscenes don't play in the game. In my experience the first few cutscenes will play fine after that they don't play unless I restart the level and that only works for the ones that play in between levels. Any cutscenes that play during the levels will have to be watched on YouTube or in the games cutscene collection if they are there of course. The cutscene problem seems to be a compatibility issue with Windows 10. So if you have Windows 7 - 8.1 you might not encounter this problem. The other problem that isn't that bad is the one DLC level that was released for the PS3, & XBox360 is not available for the Steam/PC version of the game.

I still think it's worth it in the end because I don't mind watching the cutscenes on YouTube and the DLC was only one stage. Though with these problems in mind it might be worth waiting for a sell. The game still plays just fine. With the cutscene problem I would have to give this version game a 6/10 where with the PS3, Xbox360 version of the game it would be at the most an 8/10 IMO.

STAR WARS ™: The Force Unleashed ™ II is an action adventure developed by Aspyr Studios.

Gameplay / Story

The game plays around six months after its predecessor. After the death of Vader's pupil Galen Marek, known as Starkiller, Vader tries to make a clone of his adept in the cloning facilities of Kamino. After several attempts failed and the clones went insane, he succeeded in developing a stable clone. This clone initially proves to be a loyal tool and performs all of Vader's tasks. However, when he is asked in a training session to destroy an image of Marek's lover Juno Eclipse, he refuses. When Vader enters the training room to kill the clone for disobedience, the clone flees the facility.

The core element of The Force Unleashed II is, like its predecessor, the single player campaign. In this it is the player's goal to free his beloved Juno Eclipse from the hands of the bounty hunter Boba Fett. He achieves these goals in the form of successive missions.

The player has two weapons, his lightsabers and his gifts of power. The lightsabers act as a melee weapon. His gift of power gives the player access to a variety of special combat skills. The player can continuously improve these skills through experience points that he receives for eliminating opponents. The game offers different levels that the player traverses one after the other as part of the campaign. These levels are linear and filled with numerous opponents. After the player has defeated this and crossed the area, a particularly strong boss faces him. The game is played from the third person. Only in the final fights of the levels does the camera take a bird's eye view.

Combat system

STAR WARS ™: The Force Unleashed ™ II serves the fantasy of becoming a Jedi with its innovative lightsaber combat system. Lashes, parries and evasive maneuvers are combined with tremendous power skills that you will need to overcome all obstacles on your way. The combat system itself is intuitive, but mastering all its nuances requires intense training and practice, as you will gain new powers and skills as your adventure progresses.

Das Spiel spielt rund sechs Monate nach dem Vorgänger. Das Kernelement von The Force Unleashed II ist wie beim Vorgänger die Einzelspieler-Kampagne. In dieser ist es das Ziel des Spielers, seine Geliebte Juno Eclipse aus der Hand des Kopfgeldjägers Boba Fett zu befreien. Diese Ziele verwirklicht er in Form von aufeinander folgenden Missionen.

Der Spieler verfügt über zwei Waffen, seine Lichtschwerter und seine Machtbegabung. Die Lichtschwerter fungieren als Nahkampfwaffe. Seine Machtbegabung gibt dem Spieler Zugriff auf eine Vielzahl von besonderen Kampffertigkeiten. Diese Fertigkeiten kann der Spieler durch Erfahrungspunkte, die er für das Ausschalten von Gegnern erhält, kontinuierlich verbessern. Das Spiel bietet verschiedene Level, die der Spieler im Rahmen der Kampagne nacheinander durchquert. Diese Level sind linear aufgebaut und mit zahlreichen Gegnern gefüllt. It's not that the game is bad by any means, it's just the port itself.

You see, I played a lot of this game on my Xbox 360 and remember loving it to the core, but here I didn't even get to finish the very first level even with patches installed. I did look it up online, and it seems the only way to get this game to run without facing a crash with every loading screen is to completely delete the folder where all the cutscenes are in, meaning you'll get nothing of the lore for the sake of stable performance and I, for one, am not cutting back on the story.

The game itself, though, is the true Jedi fantasy! Despite my vague memories of the game, I remember loving how you could just use your force to throw almost any type of enemy around and, weirdly enough, how lightsabers would cut through the troops' body parts at the time. It is most certainly worth a try if you happen to have an Xbox 360 or a PS3 machine you could play this game on or perhaps, if you're lucky enough, could get the game to run just fine on your system.

So as you can tell by now, I absolutely do recommend the game itself to anyone who is even remotely interested in its concept, but not this port in particular.

A fun and enjoyable sequel. But it's a PC port that has some issues:

-No Endor DLC.
-Missing some few extra challenges,lightsaber crystals and skins.
-Some bugs

Please fix this port Lucasfilm!

This game is not bad, nor is it good. This could be a good game in it's own right, expecially if it was ~$10 and acted as a prelude to a proper Force Unleashed sequel. Unfortunately, it is neither, at a price of $20, and being billed as a full sequel to the great Force Unleashed it must be judged as such.

Let's start with the good. The game looks great, even in 2021, with the prerendered cutscenes standing out, barring some technical flaws. The gameplay looks and feels good, the addition of another lightsaber to Starkiller adds to the fluidity and beautiful violence that is the combat system. The art style of the empire, and it's technology is amazing, showing the temporary technology the Empire used as it transitioned into the Tarkin Doctrine, with the modified AT-STs carrying a bomb launcher, and the two versions of the War droids (Ice and Incendiary) look amazing. Along with the experimental Imperial tech, like the Terror Droids and the Terror Troopers look both unsettling and experimental, adding to the horrific things that the Empire is clearly doing in this game.
Sadly, that is where this ends.

Starting with the story, do be frank, it's bad. It's very short, and fails to add anything meaningful to the Star Wars Universe. This feels like a prelude to a proper TFU game. As well as the ending being rather poor, and leaves more questions than answers.

The gameplay, while flashy, lacks substance. With many of the attacks being functionally identicle, and removing much of the depth that came with unlocking, and using diverse combos.
It also meshes poorly with the narrative, because Starkiller is a poor clone of Galen, Starkiller experiences flashbacks to Galen's life. This is used to unlock new abilities. The times where this occurs is problematic though, as it occurs right as he would need it e.g. force repulse when he is surrounded by terror droids. This doesn't mesh with the story as he experiences the debilitating flashbacks when he's in extreme peril, making it feel like he has more plot armour than a videogame protagonist normally has.

TLDR/Conclusion. This game is a poor sequel and largely places style over substance, this game could have been good, had it not been a sequel to TFU. However, even then, it's flaws are apparant.

It is much better made than the first part, it is much nicer to fight with opponents, better graphics and better animations. Great fight scenes, not as stubborn as in the first part, they are much more interesting. A good continuation of the plot with a great ending.

O wiele lepiej wykonana od pierwszej części, dużo przyjemniej walczy się z przeciwnikami, ładniejsza grafika oraz lepiej wykonane animacje. Super sceny walki, nie są tak oporne jak w pierwszej części, są owiele ciekawsze. Dobra kontynuacja fabuły z super zakończeniem.

Action

I genuinely couldn't believe this game was over when I had finished it. On my first time through having played it's predecessor through only once as well it took me 4 hours according to Steam. That being said, the graphics are much nicer than the first game and in general the feel of combat is much better. The story is fragile and uneasy like glass as well as the gameplay, which is where you just sit down and mash buttons the game asks you to do.

I started this pretty much right after I finished the first and immediately noticed the smoother action. The game is fun albeit with a pretty much dead plot driven by an entirely unconvincing love story. All there is to say here really is that the gameplay feels great, makes you feel like a Jedi and throws enough action at you to keep you happy, but the story is a non-entity and four hours to get through is faster than most Indie games.

If you enjoy quality entertainment, please do not fund developers of such jaw-droppingly bad games.

This is singlehandedly the worst PC port I've ever seen.

if you have a controller driver installed on your PC, Keyboard and mouse WONT WORK, you either have to find and use the controller or delete all controller drivers.
And crashes on launch if you have steam chat open.

ingame cutscenes that aren't pre rendered are janky with broken visuals, the game just throws a bunch of heavy guys at you to force you to remember the unleashed mode exists so you can just get it over with. I beat it in 5 hours it doesn't even have 1/3rd of the content the first game had.

Dont buy it, if you want to play it buy the Bundle of Star Wars games that have it included just dont buy it by itself unless it's like 2 bucks or buy it on a console.

While a more cinematically grand experience than the Wii version, this one is less fun to play. That's not to say this version of the game is bad. Its really not. Its a solid game, with some excellent voice acting, especially Matt Sloan filling in for James Earl Jones as Vader. If you can get this on sale, go for it!

Alright so here's the deal. I recommending this game because it has a special place in my heart and childhood. The combat is decently fun (on controller, its garbo on keyboard), and it can be really satisfying the tear through enemies. However, the story is not nearly as good as I remember it, and there are a few auto-scroller sections which are quite annoying. Not to mention I had A LOT of stability issues with this game, and had to dig through some tutorials to deal with the frequent crashing. This seems to be symptomatic of a poor PC port.

TLDR: Pretty good game, pretty crap PC port

It's not a bad game but it is very hard to say it's worth buying if it's not on sale. A LOT of repetition and the same animations over and over. Also the game crashes very often, not sure why I have a very good PC and nothing else crashes that I play on steam. I think I will just stick to the first game in this series

Mowing through stormtroopers with a variety of powers is pretty fun. Bosses, quicktime events, cutscenes, basically everything else is mediocre to flat out bad. Plus the gameplay is limited and shallow. And they wanted to make such an edgy story. You can really tell someone thought they did a great job with the final boss, but it was just miserable. Nevermind the disappointment if you choose the wrong thing at the end, only to realize you've actually just straight up chosen an ending so bad you might as well have gotten a game over screen.

When I mean by recommend I'd mean like its a good game if you ignore the price point for this small of a game. I got it on sale also for 6.99 and I think it was still a little too much. Everyone knows this game is shorter and the story kind of felt incomplete and rushed. The ending for sure shows there was plans for a third game. How big it would be, no one knows. But with this game it is just over 2x smaller than the first game with it having a dark side story after you complete the main story. I know a lot of people have had issues with this game crashing on start and among other things. If that happens just get the game refunded. I didn't have any issues at all. The game is locked at a max 30fps like the first game but is still very good. Overall I'd give this game a thumbs up. It was really cool to see how much the graphics improved from the last game.

My only gripe is his pure power, luckily Starkiller is no longer Canon. As for the story its not as good as the first and its ending was attempting to set up a sequel that never happened, controls and such are very bad on KB+M. Performance and customization is one of the worst i've seen on a port. Still has solid story that holds it up. 6.5/10

i love this game idk why it doesnt have better ratings.
legit this is THE game of what if you were a jedi/sith more powerful than even darth vader?
the story isnt as sound as new games but you get a bunch of dope cosmetics and there is a bunch of hidden things. Mowing thru hordes of storm troopers as an OP jedi will never get old. FPS and other problems happen cuz its an old game. but one of my all time favorite and this series will hold a place in my heart always. I wish fallen order was more like this game tbh

The first part of Force Unleashed from Krome Studious is one of my favorite games (but not the PC/PS3 version that you can play on Steam now – paradoxically, those two version of FU I are two completely different games).

The FU II, however, is just a piece of garbage.

The only significant advantage of the sequel is that you can cut off limbs and heads of your human enemies. Everything else is terrible.

It will suffice to point out just two things.

First, just the idea of the soul of a deceased force user taking over its clone – which is so popular in both old and Disney SW for some reason – is just terrible.

Second, this game has like 3.5 levels.
1) You escape from Kamino
2) You go to Cato Neimoidia (quite a nice setting!)
(Does not even count as a level) You go to Dagoba – essentially a cutscene
3) A generic spaceship (it is supposed to be a Nebulon-B “medical” frigate, but it is as big as a dreadnought inside)
1a) You return to Kamino

That’s all. Just four annoyingly long levels across three settings (just one of which is new and fresh).

The only use of this game is enjoying quartering stormtroopers on a comfortable difficulty while trying to ignore what was supposed to be an epic plot.

I don't know how but they really managed to come a long way in case of graphics since the first game. This game doesn't seem like a game from 2010. You can literally cut troopers or any sort of enemies except bosses. Gameplay is smooth. Blacksaber is hot af. Story is great. Starkiller is the strongest man in the entire Skywalker saga. The only bad side of this game is it really is short.

Overall: 8.1/10

Was good to see this story continue, it was not bad but not great but left it open for a third game that we may never get. This game looks a hell of a lot better than the first and just as fun but rushed, you can deff tell this game was rushed and you would think publishers would learn how much that hurts there profits but it still happens. Played on the big screen with ps4 controller no prob but had a lot of game crash's mainly after a cut scene. This game feels like it takes off after the first mechanics wise and adds in some more or makes them more complex. I had hoped from the first game with the build up to more rpg mechanics that this one would have built on that ten fold but ended up having less and very basic rpg mechanics which is a real shame and feels like a byproduct of it being rushed, worth a play though!

TFU2 is, when you get down to it, a pretty dumb game. There is very little depth to the combat, a progression system that barely counts, and the story is generic and feels like they tried to shoehorn in a lot of unnecessary references and callbacks. The combat is also frustrating at times, since a decent fraction of the enemies are immune to Force powers, making it feel like the little progression that is in the game is wasted, and the QTE finishing moves get really repetitive after you've killed 6 or 7 robots in the exact same way. Finally, the game is quite short. I finished it in a little over 6 hours, and I felt I was taking my time.

All that being said, it is almost indescribably satisfying to slash, Force push, lightning, and saber throw your way through a squad of stormtroopers, and then singlehandedly split an AT-ST in half. There are other Star Wars games that capture the feeling of power of being a Jedi, but this one does it particularly well. It's well worth playing just for that experience.

Never played the Force Unleashed games when they came out so I decided to buy both games to give them a try. The first game was amazing, and I was excited to jump into this one. Unfortunately, The Force Unleashed II is HORRIBLY optimized for PC (specifically Windows 10), as it is virtually unplayable. Cutscenes don't play at all (they just skip), gameplay is buggy, and the game just crashes at random points (crashed for me at least 5 times during the opening cutscene alone). I don't recommend you purchase this game until there is somehow a future update that fixes the issues.

this game is suuuuuppper fucking broken. I can tell it would be fun if it wasn't, but I have 0.7 hours on record because it was literally unplayable, all cut scenes skip themselves, and it would just crash at a certain point, nothing i could do.

Other than Star Wars: Battlefront 2 I really love STAR WARS: The Force Unleashed. It really is an amazing game and in 2020 i still recommend this to you!

Now don't get me wrong I love this game and I love the gameplay however it is a fucking mess on PC the game hardly works and honestly the only reason I have this game at this point is because I want it for my Star Wars game collection. Now let me list off a couple things wrong with the game.
#1 The games cutscenes hardly fucking work and sometimes cause the game to just crash.
#2 The game is a shotty port from the Xbox 360 so it has a lot of stuff missing on the PC port for example Star Killers cloths are supposed to be wet or look wet in the beginning but because it's a shotty port that feature is broken.
#3 The game has a multitude of bugs and even with mods they don't always work for example I installed the 60fps patch mod thingy and the game just freaked out started spawning Darth Maul that for some reason was fully animated it was funny at first however it started to get annoying as well as one costume that would crash my game instantly and the section of the game I was on would not end ether it was a tram level with enemy's spawning and the tram would not end.
#4 There is a weird issue with texture pop-in in the in-engine cutscenes as well as V-Sync not working like at all.
#5 Missing content that never made it to the PC port I personally have never seen it but it's out there something about Endor or whatever.
And that's just about it probably something I'm missing but whatever. Honestly I would just say to Emulate the game or if you have a Xbox 360 or a Xbox one if it's on there or something just buy it there it's to much of a pain trying to get this game working and I'm not going threw that again. I have spent hours attempting to get this game working and it refuses to work just don't bother with this port.

Now this game is fairly decent. Gameplay has certainly improved from the first one. Unfortunately, the story wasn't as good as the first. Which makes sense. This game was rushed and the writer from the first game left during production. But for some reason, the PC port on Steam is very bugy, even if you have a good processor and graphics card. Wish this problem could've been fixed.

As much as I want to recommend this game for how fun it is to play, I just can't. This is one of the worst PC ports in history. My game crashed at the end of every level, but if you started it back up, you were able to keep playing. That is until when I had two levels left to go. It crashes every time about mid way through the cut scene and won't let me any further. I really wish I could finish this game as honestly, the mechanics felt better than the first one, and I love both of these stories.

Frequent crashes, glitchy controls, and very annoying mechanics grabbing control away from you in the middle of combat. Just another bad console port.

The campaign is great. Too sad it isn´t canon anymore. On the other hand the game has a lot of crashes. To fix it I had to unplug my second monitor, and edit some config files so it won´t show the cutscenes. Although i'd recommend it because of the story.

Omg this game was so amazing that I have 0.6 hours played cuz every 2 seconds in it would crash. 10/10 wouldn’t buy it again

Im completely disgusted. I've played this game for an HOUR and ive had for 2 days, because of all the crashing. I CANT GET PASSED THE FIRST LEVEL i am sick and tired of trying to have some nostalgia and being so ready to finish the first mission and then crashing, not even being able to get the cutscene with vader, it takes me straight to the loading screen and it crashes my game, if anyone has suggestions, please let me know, but im so frustrated its not even funny.

The gameplay is fun, but there are countless PC errors - jagged edges, screen tears, and no playback of FMVs during the game, destroying the immersion.

I wouldn't recommend this port.

Well, all beautiful and exciting until I get to a fucking mission and can't play because the game crashes after the cutscene. Great job on porting this shit to pc, happy AF with not being able to play the game.

It was okay until I couldn't get past a cutscene cus the next level would not load and the game just shuts down, can't get a refund because i've played for four hours.
Obviously Steam and LucasArts Support will not do anything so I just paid to play a game for three hours and not even a great game at that. Do not recommend.

Great mustplay Star Wars story with way better combat than the last and next to no limit on the force. The story is excellent and easily better than some of the movies, it is just way too short. I want more StarKiller!!!

Game keeps crashing after a cutscene. Reloading used to fix the issue but I have tried this more than 20 times and I just give up. Don't buy it.

It was a great game, but I managed to beat it in one day.

I would not recommend this game for 20$. Maybe 5-10$ FFS the game is 10 years old...

Also I always crashes before a cut scene happens.

Pros:
- Decent graphics
- Simple combo systems
- Good story
- Customisation of lightsabers for aesthetic and bonuses
- Customisation of player skin

Neutral:
- Only took about 5 hours to finish
- Able to run at 60FPS (after some messing about, see here for more)
- Frequent QTEs

Cons:
- Questionable balance (some common enemies being harder than boss fights)
- QTEs having spotty detection/sub-second reactions for some
- Repetetive in areas
- Crashes to desktop

Overall I enjoyed this game (after wasting 3 hours pulling hairs trying to get it to run at 60 and not crash every cutscene), albeit less than Force Unleashed 1. Recommended to Star Wars fans and Force Unleashed fans but hard to recommend over the first one or Fallen Order to a newcomer. See the linked guide and the PCGW page for this game on how to minimise crashes and improve performance. 6/10.

I wanted to start this review off by saying that the plot in this game is good in my own opinion. It has just enough of a search involved that you cannot help but play to find out what is next! Combat was also vastly improved over the previous game, although the quick-time event buttons are hard to see when they pop up.

The problem comes with the port! My own experience on my ASUS ROG Zephyrus laptop running on Windows 10 is that the game is incredibly tedious to play. It crashes CONSTANTLY. I also was unable to play it without repairing the install but downloading some files third party that did not install with Steam properly. The game had to be ran in administrator mode as well, though that is less of a hassle than installing files manually for sure. Even once I got the game to run it would crash on certain cutscenes which then required me to go into the game files and delete the file so it skipped the cutscene. Every now and then the save game function also decides to fail and so it gets stuck saying it is saving!

The game itself is definitely worth playing, don't get me wrong. My personal recommendation is to find it for the Xbox 360 where you can play it without any of the problems that come with the port they did to PC.
