- Armbrustanimation fehlerhaft - schießt in undefinierbare Richtung
- diverse Clippingfehler
- Crashes to desktop

It has a weapons unlock system which ruins the immersion. You're some mercenary sniper. You wouldn't need to unlock weapons. All would be available for purchase if you have the money. The money system is also completely unrealistic. Bounties are way too low and weapon upgrades and ammunition are way too high.

At the beginning great game, very good graphics, after the critters the bugs infested the game not much of fun anymore. Scale 0-10 this will be at 5 ( bugs issues). Would not recommend THIS GAME to anyone to buy it even 20 bucks that is well to much for a game that does not work properly. Game has been on the market for many years now customers have reported all the problems and none were fixed at all, another case where customer is not important just the SALE of the product and PROFITS ARE . STEAM should be ASHAMED OF SELLING JUNK.

Playthrough ~50 hours (70% Achievements)
some stats:
only ~60% of players don´t quit after Tutorial
only 43% of players finished Act 1
only 23% of players finished Act 4
Reasons:
- bit clunky + still buggy (eg: stuck + reload)
- weapons are terribly incorrect ;((
- Silencer wears down after a few shots ..Repair-Kits ftw!
- bad Savepoint-system that can make 1-2 hours go to waste
- SNIPING is quite hard (esp. headshots)
- enemies repay misses with MORTAR-fire ..be ready to run!
- the real fun starts in ACT 2.. quite late (20+ hours ingame)
>>> Summary:
Buy in SALE.. if you enjoy Stealth and don´t mind a challenge!
..otherwise just start with Sniper Contracts (same Company) ..or be smart and get Hitman2, Wildlands or Breakpoint instead ^^

At first, I didn't really care much for the game. Then at one point I hated it because of the weird save system. But then I came back to it the next day, tried again and since then it grew on me.
But...there's some things that still annoy me about this game, which would have made it SO much better:
-The story sucks. So does the writing/dialogue. The ending is...well it sucks too.
-The main protagonist is a total douchebag.
-The save system sucks. I always found myself fast traveling to my outpost to get a guaranteed save...For example, If you do an outpost, get far but die, the game kicks you back to the nearest fast travel station. All enemies respawn but you just lost the ammo you used...what?!?!? (See my grenade tip below to help with this).
-The enemies can have hawk eye vision with deadly accuracy using automatic rifles from a distance, (I played on normal).
-I could do without all the animations to get in a car, looting, open stuff at my safehouse, and releasing the drone, to name a few.
-Booting up a game leads to a lengthy load screen. I'm using a regular SSD but it probably took about 40 seconds to load,( with a terrible song too).
-Instead of one big map, we get 3 smaller maps, (called regions). It was probably done for engine/programing purposes to make it easier on the devs and it's a CI game, but if you travel between regions expect another 40 second load time, (and that song, I can't stand that song!!!)
But there's one thing that kinda made the game better, and it's the drone you get. If you've played Assassin's Creed Origins it's a lot like your bird. He's always there to scout areas, tags enemies and shows some important info about a camp etc which helps a ton in figuring out your plan of attack. *Whatever you do, upgrade the drone with camoflage, intelligent recon, and hacking ASAP* It makes it way easier and fun to get through outposts in general and find better entrances to many areas.
Make sure to always carry at least one grenade so if you're in the middle of nowhere and a fast travel is too far away you can jump on it and die, then get teleported to a fast travel station so you can fast travel again to your safehouse to restock on ammo.
I really liked the most wanted side missions where you kill a specific target. I did them all. Loved it.
The graphics are ok, the character face models are not, the skill point upgrades are cool but a bit lacking, the shooting is fun and so is the shotgun, and the frame rate would never stay at a locked 60fps no matter what I did. It's far from a perfect game which is a shame because it DOES have a lot of potential, but I still had fun killing dudes.

1. While doing bullet time (while the camera moves with the bullet) people move around sometimes. Also I can see myself with the sniper rifle hanging down, I mean I just shot this bullet that's still in air, how is the rifle hanging?
2. When collecting C4 during a mission, if you have your inventory full, the C4s will just vanish never to be seen again. No error messages, nothing!
3. In plenty of side missions, you cannot finish your objective even if you have done all the prerequisites.
4. You can hear the cries of prisoners coming out of the cell even after the prisoners have been released and there is nobody inside.

Far Cry 3 seemed to also inspire this game to add climbing mechanics. However, the climbing is more clunky than the original InFamous, as you try to jump from edge to edge, often falling to your death because the game fails to register that you're making an attempt to grab something.
The sniping is an improvement upon the previous entries, in that it actually feels somewhat intense. Though that feeling doesn't last, because the bullet damage to enemies fades away after two seconds, and you can't see the gruesome damage you've done to someone. Especially with how the bullet-cam works (or tries to work).
Looking past the problems with CryEngine, and how much I loathe it, the engine isn't even utilized in a manner to defend using it. You can't customize your weapon unless you go back to the base of whichever map you're on, and you use only the simplest of tools to kill your enemies. There's no taking anyone alive, with any unique defense. There's nothing truly creative among your arsenal. I'm not asking for Ratchet & Clank, but maybe at least something that makes a couple CryEngine games worth playing. Prey 2017 has a gloo gun and psychic powers. Crysis has a super suit and weapon customization from ANYWHERE. Sniper Ghost Warrior has... an unsatisfying bullet-cam, and gunplay that feels too generic after the first 5 hours.
So what else could possibly go wrong? The map. It's freaking huge. So you must be able to explore it in a timely manner, or at least feel entertained when going from point A to point B, right? WRONG. You need to buy DLC to get a buggy, just so it doesn't take for-flipping-ever to get somewhere, and the map is more void of life than Far Cry 2. The only life you'll find is at an enemy outpost (that is repopulated as soon as you leave the map) and the occasional wolf or deer. I never thought I'd miss the linearity of the first two games, but at least my time didn't feel as wasted then as it did with this game.
If there's any possibility of saving this game, it would be up to the mod-community re-balancing the game, increasing ammo capacity, boosting movement speed and stamina, and making decals actually last on the corpses so the game can at least attempt to compete with the intensity of Sniper Elite. Without these going for it, the game is ultimately not worth playing. If you see if for a couple $$ and you want to waste some time away on just easily sniping down targets, then maybe give it a shot. You'll probably refund it, but at least you'll know I wasn't lying.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3
This review contains no major spoilers.
-Overview-
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is an open-world tactical FPS developed and published by CI Games, the same company behind the previous titles. Starting from an unoriginal concept, it mixes gameplay elements and features from other game series such as, for example, Sniper Elite, Far Cry and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, to deliver an overall great package, more in the gameplay than the story itself, as it offers multiple options to complete each mission.

Most of the game is set in Georgia, a country between Eastern Europe and Western Asia. As someone who lives far from these regions, it personally fascinated me to see the variety of the environments in different sections of the map. Even though I played the game at medium settings due to hardware limitations and that surely took out some of the experience, I would still call it visually impressive. Some parts of the map may appear to a limited extent inferior-looking compared to others, but that’s mainly due to the open-world nature of the game. The places where you go during missions are especially curated and filled with details.

Story ▲▼
The game starts with a prologue where you’re introduced to the main character, the U.S Marine Jonathan “Jon” North, and his younger brother Robert, as you learn about the game’s mechanics. Jon and Robert, who also joined his brother in the marines, are sent on a mission in the Russian-Ukrainian border to destroy an abandoned set of Soviet-era bio-weapons to avoid them to be stolen by terrorists. At the end of the prologue, an unexpected event happens and Jon gets knocked down. The game then cuts to the present 2 years later, when he is sent to Georgia in a new, completely different and hard quest: the destabilization of the local Georgian separatist movement. At the same time, there’s another unanswered question: nobody knows where his brother is. However, some clues are slowly gathered throughout the story. So, the player has two objectives in mind: destroy the Separatists and find Robert.
The story as a whole is not particularly engaging or original, and feels like a generic action game for the most part, but it’s not completely bad and has some moments of particular interest. Apart from the main brothers, the other characters aren’t a great focus: they just serve as mission givers or sometimes interact with Jon in some missions, but they fail to build an attachment with the player.
Gameplay ▲
The game has three difficulty levels: Normal, Hard and Challenge mode. If you play on easy mode, it’s not present in the game but in my opinion normal mode is perfectly enjoyable and when one of your strategies fail, you can always try another one or retry the same as before.
Despite Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 being officially listed as “open world”, I’d rather call it a semi-open world game. In fact, the map is not entirely available to explore: it’s instead divided in pieces, and as you progress through the story and the acts, you go to a new sector while the previous one gets locked. So you cannot freely travel across each piece of the map on your own, but you can explore the section of the map corresponding to the point you are in the story.
Of course, the game features vehicles to move around the map, even if there isn’t much variety between them and most of them are locked anyway. You will usually just use your car, as you can’t take or steal others.
About exploration, there’s not much interaction in the game’s world except main missions and “side-ops” ones. You can explore more towns, more places, but that’s the end of it. What you can do, instead, is attacking and conquering outposts (yeah, it reminds you of Far Cry, doesn’t it?).
The strongest point in the game is definitely the choice given to the player of how you want to complete a mission. Do you want to find an high place to snipe everyone from it? Do you want to sneak inside tunnels, buildings to silently kill enemies? Do you want to go in with an heavy machine gun and kill all of them? You can do everything above, even if my suggestion would be to use the sniper, since it’s the main mechanic of the game, it gives you extra points (EXPs) for kills and it has a special cinematic view focused on the bullet when you shoot someone in the head. It’s also the best weapon to use in the game. You can regulate both the zoom and the distance of the shot.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 also has a huge arsenal of weapons available for players to unlock or purchase, between snipers, secondary rifles or handguns, as well as useful gadgets to have in your inventory or as weapon attachments.
Depending on your playstyle, the game offers you different ability trees, each with the same number of unlockable skills, giving you extra tools in combat.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2562382309
Before entering the place of a mission, it’s better to analyze the area and find out where the enemies are. You can do that in two ways: you either find an high place and manually spot them with the sniper, or, quicker way, you can use a cool tool, which is the drone (mechanic also used in Ghost Recon). You can deploy it by pressing “T” on your keyboard. With the drone, as you scan the area and spot people, they are automatically marked on the screen if enemies. Once you get a good map of the enemies, you can call the drone back and use your preferred strategy to complete the mission.
Drone View
Overall the gameplay is really enjoyable, despite not implementing anything new on the table. But as I always think, it’s better to be inspired by other games and do things right than trying to create new gameplay features that are not fun and result weak.
Soundtrack ▼
The soundtrack of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is in my opinion uninspired and shallow for the most part. The main menu song, called “Unappreciated Beauty” by Aurelia Shrenker is really good, but that’s about it. While driving a car, there’s an option to turn on the radio. Most of the times it just plays the main menu song, but there are also other tracks featured in the game, which have not captured my interest.
Rating: Good
Click here for the complete Rating Chart
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a convincing game that tries its best to hide its flaws. The quite limited open-world experience, the unoriginal story and some not admirable character writing are all saved by a captivating gameplay which always offers varied and unique possibilities of progress, together with an expanded set of unlockable skills to learn. The diversity of playstyles and tactics enhances the immersion and really makes you feel like a talented soldier. Right now the game is just 20€ and in my opinion it’s a fair price for it, keeping in mind though that it’s 4 years old and the game often goes on sale.

Pros:
- Open world with lots of freedom for how to tackle missions (a feature missed in the previous games)
- Lots of weapon customization
- A car!!
- Three medium sized maps with plenty of interesting areas to discover that are not on the missions
- Stealth is actually good in this game and same with noise of guns and movement
- Love interrogation actions, great added detail
- Huge amount of sniper skins to unlock and choose
Cons:
- Lack of customization for vehicle and cannot change skins for secondary weapon and pistols!!
- You will normally only choose one sniper and keep with that, the rest you unlock are pretty bad
- Checkpoints once again are terrible in this game
- Very quick deaths if enemies spot you (I guess realistic)
- Drone misses a lot of enemies despite flying over them
- Story is forgettable and SPOILER! Someone betrays you...AGAIN
- Characters are forgettable
Overall, I think this game is ambitious and much better than the previous linear games

The only good thing that is left with this game is sniping. The open world is bad as hell but you at least can pick your own position to do your job. Like in the first game you are a mega super warrior that can assault a whole outpost and that is what makes it bad. It is not worse than the first game but it is worse than the second game.
I really tried to like this game but it made me drop it.

Great graphics (still most games have good these days)
Good sniper mechanics
Pretty good, climbing, mantle etc.
OK, weapon modding, crafting, gadgets (drone mediocre)
Not so good
Bit short 10 - 12 hours
Cringing dialogue
Bad
Buggy, had to start a new game multiple times because of bugs eg: Almost through the Prologue it got stuck on an animation, quit back to menu no check point saves made, start from beginning. A number of other bugs as well.
Buy only if on sale (below $20)

The fun stealth / sniping parts are just a chore to get to because they are spread out all over a dead and annoying to traverse open world. You spend a lot of time just driving to POIs for a new gun camo skin or to get to an outpost to get to the good parts of the gameplay. Once you are actually AT an outpost or enemy camp it's fun as hell though. The sniping, bullet cam, recon, infiltration etc. is really decent for a AA game.
Having said all of that, the two new games in the franchise (SGW: Contracts & SGW: Contracts 2) take everything about this game, and put it in a much tighter and polished package. The new games cut out all the filler open world stuff and just chain the best gameplay parts together, but still retain big open maps / levels so it doesn't feel like its purely on rails.
This game is for sure worth it on a deep sale, but honestly you're better off just getting the two newest games mentioned above if you want updated / polished sniping games.

Cons
-slow loading
-never patched bug
-no quick saves
-you can get stuck and have to reload checkpoint
-can't peak around corners
-mortars always get you
I've played the Sniper series from this developer and the games are never polished. You feel like they are beta versions.
My recommendations is really in the middle. I would recommend it only if it were $10. I like sniper games but it seems they lack in stealth.

I can only play it in small doses. It should really be called Mountain Climber with a gun. The mountain climbing mechanic is basic and tedious. Look for a ledge and just keeping climbing. But I got tired of it all.
The guns are fake. There are no real sniper rifles. Only made up guns that represent real life versions.
Also, I jumped off several cliffs into ravines and I didn't die. Also, there are quite a few bugs. Sometimes when I restart a mission I lose ammo and I don't get it back at the restart. Or if I die after picking up an enemy weapon, I restart with the enemy weapon. This is after the latest patches. But whatever. It's fun. Also there are collectible guns in the game that you can't use. They're just for show. So why collect them?
In conclusion, it's fine if it's on sale. The makers did a good job. But I just wanted to snipe.

It really depends on your point of view and expectations you put before playing this, this game will offer you some mild sand-box stealth action and sniping, it is a nobrainer pew pew game, the story is there for the sake of putting one inside the game but if you are into games like MGS 5:TPP, Far Cry or even Borderlands to some extend, this game can be your next sandbox, looter shooter and crafting game all in one. My biggest dissapointment considering my expectations, was being not to be able to shoot through glass or even break windows. I don't get how they ignored that simple mechanic.

- Open World game, ah yes. The only problem is that the world is mostly empty with every single worthwhile location marked on the map. No exploration necessary.
- What's also important for an open world game? Getting around somehow. Driving that car was really really bad with a keyboard.
- When you throw corpses, sometimes it puts them behind you somehow.
- After rescuing natives, you just get some money and then they vanish into thin air.
- There was a mission I had to complete without killing any scientists, only soldiers. Sounds cool right? Yes it is until you realize that the instant any scientist sees you it alerts the entire outpost. No way to just tie them for example.
- Using zip lines (which was used quite often) feels so off.
- The title music, which usually stands to set the mood is so off. I honestly think they just selected a random track on a stock website.
- Dialogues are basic and not engaging, but they do the job I guess.
- Enemy soldiers are dumb as a rock and have no idea what to do or how to work in a team, only advantage they have is after hearing a random shot in the distance they can pin-point which rock you are behind.
- Some missions take quite a long time to complete. Having no option to save and return later is a recipe for bad experience.
I could go on and on about all the things the game fails to be even remotely realistic about. It's kinda like they just gave up at some point and shipped the game regardless of the lack of attention to detail one would reasonably expect from the third installation of a series. I love sniping but this, just makes me sad.

Extra features in series are fast travel, crafting, open-world, side-ops, exploring. My 4GB DDR6 card Gtx 1650 super runs 60+ fps at everything cranked to ULTRA, I love the setting and environment game provides and I am pretty satisfied from this game.
Would give more hours then edit this if required or maybe when steam awards come back

This game defines me.
I am 42.
Throughout my life I have faced many hardships; divorces, my four year old daughter’s death, getting laid off, depression and fits of rage... but nothing beats breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The hand I desperately needed to make sure I could continue to provide for my family, especially after our loss.
I struggled to find work and couldn’t even enjoy the few hobbies I had. This led me to fall back into that endless pit of darkness. After my success in CSGO, I left no stone unturned finding more games I could manage to play one handed. Soon I stumbled across this game. This damn game.
After adjusting the keys to fit my disability, I found myself in a state of true euphoria, deep in the games atmosphere. The music, the wind the deep breaths. I came to the realization that motivation doesn’t exist without discipline. I stopped feeling so damn sorry for myself, and I became the father I needed to be in that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving as.
Moral of the story, you never know what life holds in store for you, and if I would have given up when all the odds were stacked against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Many glitches,bugs-feels like playing early access game. Sniper rifles are on good graphic level but accessories are really poor-few optics, single silencer, single magazine and thats it. Same is for secondary weapons. No advanced modification here. This game is just simply unfinished but if they would finish it before publishing, it will be amazing game. Sadly never happen.
Unfortunatelly i can find any pozitive on this game. I finished it but didnt enjoyed it and definitely wont ever play again.

If you're looking for a realistic, complicated and difficult sniper game with accurate physics supported by a true in-depth knowledge of firearms, this ain't it. The lack of firearms consultation is made painfully apparent by the use of the term 'silencer' instead of 'suppressor'. You'll find that most .338 Lapua rifles do less damage somehow than 7.62 rifles too which is insane and not accurate. Entry wounds are also often larger than the exit wounds. Like I said, it's not that realistic if you're looking for that.
The storyline is pretty lackluster and the voice acting leaves a lot to be desired. I ended up skipping most of the cutscenes because I couldn't bear to listen to them talk in monotone any longer.
The gameplay is fine. Open world with 3 maps to work through with a bunch of side missions and collectibles which will keep you busy if you like to 100% things. The variety of the collectibles isn't great, but there were a few easter eggs which was fun. Side missions have some variety and plot to them, but there's not a huge amount of them.
The driving is average at best. The vehicle sticks to the ground and has no physics, it's like driving on the Source Engine.
The shooting is average. You can zero your scope to make it easier to shoot at longer distances and the 'Hold Breath' option literally tells you where to shoot if you're having trouble. Bullet drop is identical for every rifle and all the bullets look the same, regardless of caliber. The bullet cam happens far too often and I ended up turning it off because it just felt like a waste of time in the end.
The game is pretty buggy too. It crashed 9 times at random places during my playthrough. I found myself getting stuck in terrain a few times too with no option to fix it. You can't fast travel or reset your position whilst falling, so you have to exit to the main menu and load back in. Pretty frustrating. There were also several instances where on screen prompts simply didn't show up which made things difficult also.
Overall, it's good, but it's not great. Don't take it too seriously and you'll probably enjoy yourself. If you're looking for something more realistic, steer away from this and try Sniper Elite instead.
6/10.

Upsides:
- open world with a lot of things to do,
- a variety of ways you can approach your targets (sniping from afar, sneaking in with stealth kills, going in loud with assault weapons or combination of above),
- bullet drop mechanic (extra satisfying to land a headshot from a very long distance).
- scouting drone - both useful and fun to use
- presence of wildlife
- crafting (can be ignored by spending money)
Downsides:
- kinda long loading screens (but only on starting the game/switching areas),
- near the end (after 10s of hours of clearing most of the content) can get a bit repetitive, but you can just switch up your playstyle to keep it fresh,
- skill trees could have a bit more impactful and balanced skills (some are fairly obvious first picks compared to others).
All in all - a solid 8/10 in my book.

The Ghost Warrior 3 campaign is divided into four acts. Each act brings its own and specific environment. From wooded lowlands to icy mountains, a real sniper must be invented everywhere. At the beginning of the campaign, you have a choice of three levels of difficulty: Normal, Hard and Challenging. While with Normal difficulty you will be guided by the game, control of your rifle will be minimal, and you can even see in advance where your shot will reach, I can't imagine why anyone would buy a game like Sniper Ghost Warrior and use these helpers. If you really want to test your knowledge and you don't mind occasional failure and subsequent repetition, any of the higher demands will suffice. And the feeling of a successful 500+ meter headshot is indescribable. If you cover this distance in connection with the relentless wind and all obstacles, you will achieve true sniper satisfaction.
Your work, of course, is characterized by an arsenal of different rifles. From the classic 7.62 caliber, which offers the possibility of shock absorbers, to mythical 50-caliber rifles, which literally separate the enemy's head from the body. The rifle itself is nothing without the right accessories. Various opticians, stands, magazines and ammunition will make it a real tool of murder in the hands of a real sniper. The key to success, from ordinary to explosion, lure to bullets ignoring the wind or marking enemies, is choosing the right approach in a given situation using the right tools. Note, however, that ammunition is expensive, limited, and doubly true for special types. Just as ammunition is limited, the ability to use silencers and concealed will remain forever. Although you will be able to buy a shock absorber repair kit in the field, you are missing out on one of the possible equipment accessories, so you will have to make compromises. There are also several grenades, mines and other accessories to choose from that can make your mission easier or often save your life. But you will only take a few with you.
With the new world and its openness comes new gameplay. Choosing the location, direction and route of your infiltration or shelling will be the most important part of any mission. And here it will be shown how you are doing with tactical thinking. The open world has really worked for the game and gives the tasks great freedom and possibilities, which are excellently experimented with.
Don't expect shooting in the style of ordinary games, where you hit everything you have in the middle of the optics. You've probably seen a military movie before, and you've always wondered what the snipers set so much on those rifles before the shot. Now you will find out, or you will have to find out, otherwise you will fail. The greater the distance to the target, the more difficult the shot. Gravity, distance, wind and elevation will be your biggest enemies, which you will have to defeat before you can pull the trigger. In terms of gameplay, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 offers great fun and a real challenge in shooting as well as in regular shootouts. I wish everything else didn't spoil her like that.
In terms of graphics, the game doesn't look extra, but that wouldn't really matter. Only your optics and the target head are important. But when that head looks like it was eight years ago, you feel pretty weird. The atmosphere and graphic design of the game world is sufficient. What is downright offensive, however, are the incomprehensibly processed characters, their faces and animations. In the first cutscene with the main character and her brother, I wasn't sure if I was playing the right game. You could also apologize for that, no one expected a technical miracle from the game (although it runs on the legendary CryEngine, it could easily be expected), but technically it doesn't fit at all.
I personally rate the game 6/10
Positive
+ Arsenal
+ Quality processed sniper action
+ Extensive and diverse environment
+ Amount of content
+ Cice visual
+ Very good sound and music
Negative
- Technical issues
- Cliché story
- The cut scenes are of lower quality
- Artificial intelligence can sometimes pi*s a person off

-Really boring environment as you always wish to use fast travels. Even driving is boring.
-Poor day and night cycle, maybe i just saw the sunlight once or twice at my whole playtime.
-All Points of Interests are same and boring. really boring.
-Full of BUGS. Didn't expect such a horde of bugs from a popular franchise.
-Shameful to be called an OpenWorld. Still super long way to reach an OpenWorld like FarCry, WatchDogs, AC or etc.
-Not a stable story. Ending was fast and like a usual cutscene. They've put no time on it.
+Sniping features and gadgets are cool
+Takedowns are good in action view, but again full of bugs. None of Death from Below takedowns performed smoothly.
+Stealth missions are good
Altogether,
This is a good game just if you finish the story ASAP.

The thing about the gaem is ''play the gaem with your own style'' but when you try to do your ''style'' you just figure out this gaem is all about scripts. That is true everything about this gaem is scripted i know nearly all of the gaems are scripted, but when you imply ''play the game with your own style'' you shouldn't do scripts.
Actually im surprisingly enjoyed the gaem. This gaem is essential because of FPS sniper gaems (forget about Sniper Elite). There are lot of more ''sniper'' gaems e.g cod, bf vs. but these gaems aren't focused on sniper elements. if youre looking for a stealth FPS sniping gaem this is essential for you, you should try it.
Open world is a disaster pretty much nothing to do. Go safe house, pick next mission, get on the car, drive throughout objective, do the job, open map, fast travel safe house, pick next mission, jump on the car, if your next mission is located on of the unlocked fast travel zones you should fast travel if not drive throughout objective and to do job. THERES NOTHING TO DO except Most wanted targets and point of interests (collectibles, rescue citizens and fast travel point. thats all) most of them boring stuff easily skippable.
PERFECT GAEM for FPS Stealth Sniper Thing 10/10
OK GAEM for just FPS 7/10
PRETTY MUCH OK GAEM for just Stealth... 6/10
VERY BAD GAEM for Open World 1/10
AVERAGE 6 out of 10
MY SCORE 7.6 out of 10
DONT FORGET THIS SHOOTAN GAEM IS ESSENTIAL!!
And main menu music is AWESOME!!

Oh, dear...
'Sniper Ghost Warrior 3' doesn't offer the best story, which in combination with the atrocious German voice acting leads to a very bad start of the game. Switching voices to English helps a lot but of course, doesn't change the story.
For the first few hours, I was sure to not recommend this game to anybody! But astonishingly after about 10 hours, the game achieved something astonishingly. It started to become a lot of fun. That's because the main missions are extremely well designed and very exciting. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 pulls you right into the missions. A mission can take up to two hours if you try to play stealthy. Of course, you can simply snipe all enemies away, don't care about alarms raised, and treat the game like a shooter. But that's not the way the game is supposed to be played. Completing missions without raising the alarm is thrilling and extremely satisfying.
Beside the main story you can unlock side missions and on top of that, the three huge world maps offer probably more than 100 points of interest that you can investigate and solve.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is an open-world game and driving around in your jeep feels a lot like in Far Cry 2.
You have a headquarter on each map where you can upgrade your skills and weapons, craft ammunition to save money, or take a nap to heal your wounds.
Money is important in this game. You constantly need it in order to buy upgrades for the many weapons you find. So you constantly have to search for left purses and loot every dead soldier you happen to kill.
Searching dead bodies is cumbersome and time-consuming. The process is animated and it would have been nice if the developers would have allowed players to do the looting faster.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a very, very buggy game. Animals get stuck in the woods while keeping running. Enemies stand two meters beside you without recognizing you. In one mission earth and sky suddenly flipped so that I was standing in the sky, started falling, and died. Most of the time the menu only works with the mouse, not with the controller, while the rest of the game works fine with the controller.
After playing the game for one or two hours single controller buttons sometimes suddenly stop working. This happened to me several times. Returning to the main menu and continuing playing from there solved the problem.
From time to time your character gets stuck in the environment too, making it impossible to move.
The game crashed to my Desktop twice and shut down Windows once. Right in the middle of a mission, Windows decided to shut down and terminated my PC. And yes, I'm sure this was caused by the game and nothing else! Never happened to me before.
The bugs go as far as preventing me from collecting all achievements. From time to time you can find side missions. The game offers you the option to carry out the side mission immediately or start the mission later. There's one particular mission, that if you don't start it right after it was offered to you, you won't be able to start it later. If you don't know that, you're left with more than 50 hours playtime like me, but unable to complete the remaining two achievements. Isn't that great?!
The game is simply very, very buggy.
Nevertheless, many missions are great. Very well designed and highly intriguing. That's why I still recommend the game.
If you have a weak spot for stealthy sniper games, you can get it.
It's OK.
Pros:
- beautiful, smooth graphics
- beautiful landscape
- open world
- great mission design
- very good world map design
- great atmosphere, the Georgia villages, and mountains look and feel fantastic (even made me think about a vacation in Georgia)
- good music
- good sound effects
- good animations
- aggressive enemies that come and search for you
- overall intelligent AI, except for the fact when they can't find you after a couple of minutes they pretend you never were there in the first place
- fast travel (and it even brings your car!)
- realistic day and night cycle (sky colors in the morning and evening feel right)
- in order to decide if a mission is a day mission or a night mission you can sleep accordingly
- fair achievements (except for the ones that are bugged)
- nice song in the main menu
- pulls all cliches you probably ever had about Georgia
- the drone is very helpful and well designed
- realistic comments from bystanders
- ability to analyze tracks is very helpful and well done
- you can swim and dive
- satisfying weapon handling (good feedback)
- many different weapons and upgrade possibilities
- option to craft your own ammunition (saves money)
- long playtime especially if you try to cover all point of interests
- collectibles
- some village people have cats
Cons:
- stupid story
- very, very buggy
- long map loading time, on HDD and SSD (but thankfully maps only need to be loaded rarely)
- too few enemies in relation to the size of military bases or areas you have to infiltrate
- equipment like silencer and protection vest break and need to be repaired after every mission (what a stupid feature!)
- atrocious German voice acting (English is good)
- hero behaves like an a-hole most of the time, he's very uncharismatic
- no fun to play in the beginning. I was appalled by the game for the first couple of hours but loved the missions after about 10 hours of play-time.
- looting dead enemies takes too long and is cumbersome
- in order to upgrade all weapons and gadgets, you need to loot every dead enemy and search for money everywhere
- bodies and weapons have to be looted separately
- enemies often look alike (inbreeding?)
- very blurry cut scenes
- bows seem completely useless, at least I couldn't figure out how to use them successfully. Might only be me though.
- outdated climbing mechanics compared to games like Tomb Raider or Assassins Creed
- irrelevant, unnecessary DLCs that offer no benefit
- killing animals like wolves or deer expects you to take biological samples. (sure, nothing else came to my mind!)
- raped or murdered ladies you discover in side-missions all look the same and lie in the same position. (hmm...)
- your character's groan sounds crappy
- children in the game look like adults
- no manual save, only automatic savepoints
- too few automatic save points in some missions that force you to play very long sections again if you fail
- unbalanced difficulty, while some missions are very easy on normal difficulty others are extremely difficult
- predictable story
- all ladies in the game are very bit.chy

There is only one way to describe this game it was boring at the start and fun at like the last 30 seconds of the game, first off for people who love splinter cell stealth well dont buy this the stealth is not great its more of a run in gun at most i mean you can still like hide in shadows to have a less time of getting spotted but its not fully there the guns make a shit ton of noise sniping is easy at the start so your left with long range or run in gun so to me as a stealth fan i do not recommend this game but for people who love to go full on Rambo then be my guest for people who still like stealth still give it a shot its not my choice but its still okay you can still kill people with a knife that looks so badass but the stealth is just not there but hey what do you have to loose you can still get a refund before 2 hours so yeah still give it a shot. 4/10 its closer to a 3 than a 4 so 3/10

Even after tons of patches which they seem to have released, there are still bugs GALORE but none that seem to be game breaking. For example, my minimap fast travel breaks many times I have to drive every where or restart the game for it to get fixed, very annoying.
AI is actually not bad, not the brightest but decently good though I am not sure how the damned artillery is so confident how I am hiding in those exact bushes everytime but meh whatever.
If you enjoy FPS sniper games and are getting this game on a discount, buy it.

It is a vast improvement on Ghost Warrior 2, which I may have got about a third the way through at a guess before I stopped.
The good:
Open world,
basic weapon customising,
simple enough gameplay without being too dumbed down.
The only bad bit about the game for me personally is the frequency in which you are forced into relatively close combat, (The Lair, The Maze) and the odd mission requiring that and stealth. Not a huge deal, but it's also not what I want in a game about snipers. If I wanted to be sneaking into bases without killing or alerting anyone, I'd buy something from the Tom Clancy's or equivalent genre.
Anyways, it's a good enough, enjoyable game. If you enjoyed Wildlands, you'd probably get a bit of enjoyment out of this if you're looking for something similar.

Not the best game in the world but if you like sniping it definitely worth a buy.
Also, play without the aim assist/red dot is my advice if you do buy it.
