  • Neuer punkteorientierter Wettkampf: Einheiten an Vulkane opfern.

  • Vatikanstadt. Religion. Suzerän-Bonus: Die Aktivierung einer Großen Persönlichkeit verbreitet religiösen Druck.
  • Taruga. Wissenschaft. Suzerän-Bonus: Zusätzliche Wissenschaft für jede strategische Ressource in Städten.
  • Hunza. Handel. Suzerän-Bonus: Zusätzliches Gold für Handelsweg-Strecken.

Love the Game, Love the DLC, dont mind supporting. It's a tad overpriced, yeah, but it isn't EA-Levels bad. Colombia is VERY overpowered and needs a nerf.

It's no problem if your game doesn't support mac, but then don't advertise it. I play on Windows(because we all know gaming on mac ain't the best idea), but I still dont appreciate the advertising for something that doesn't work.

Overall: Love the game, Price is a little sour, and the support is a big oof. but I'd recommend it any day.

Bitte nachbessern!

i have 1600 hours on record for this game so TRUST ME this DLC is not worth buying or playing.
i give this DLC : 2/10
===
first of all the price is garbage, if you must buy this for any reason : the price should be 2$ tops !
i will write this on all my reviews THE AI in this game is broken ! civ5 had an ai that at least worked !
the ai just do nothing ! it literally does not work ! which is odd because at least in civ5 it worked, as bad as it was.
HEY STUPID DEVELOPERS OF THE GAME, FIX YOUR GAME AND AI BEFORE ADDING MONEY GRAB DLC !
the dlc could have been justified if this game was an online game like dota, r6siege, etc...
but since most players play offline this dlc is not justified at all...
every civilization is SLIGHTLY adjusted or a little different than the other civs, adding this DLC to the game does not do anything !
it is like if a car can't start and you can't drive it, buy you go buy leather seats for it !
===
i give this DLC : 2/10

This DLC got my hopes up for a big end scene and huge world ending event when the climate got to level 7 and you have screwed the earth. All that happens is asteroids fall every turn that destroy 4 hexes, and every few turns you get solar flares. The apocalypse was a complete disappointment. Don't spend your money on this DLC.

Buy the New Frontier season pass, as you will get this pack along other DLC for less.

Loads of new content here compared to their previous DLC packs, worth the prize. The Civs are great, the City states are varied and natural wonders giver nogle sjove plays. Plus, they have added Honey as a luxury resource!

I feel that many people are too harsh towards almost every civ DLC when Civ V did the exact same thing and no one had a issue with it. Otherwise, I'll list the pro's and con's of this DLC.

Pros:
- Maya is a pretty well rounded Civ and I like their play style. I like the observatory and Hul'che as well.
- New City-States are also a great addition and I loved their addition
- Like forest fires and meteor showers, pretty decent additions to all the natural wonders.

Mixed:
- New Resources are meh, I like them but I mean they're resources. I can get a mod to add resources.
- New Natural Wonders, I'm indifferent towards Bermuda Triangle as its so rare in my games and its a bit pointless although there's a lot of useless wonders already in the game (Ahem, Cliffs of Dover). Paititi and Fountain of Youth are both pretty ok. Overall I wasn't stoked about the addition of fictional natural wonders.
- Gran Colombia, I'm also indifferent towards them as I don't care for many domination civs but man are they fun. I will say the Llanero is pretty OP and i'd like them to be balanced more however the Dev's choose.
- Apocalypse mode is okay compared to the rest of the modes. Definetly not my favorite as I don't like the idea of constantly dealing with destroyed cities in the late game and constant flooding but that's my personal opinion.

Cons:
- Recycled Animations. I really don't like the recycled animations, it just comes off as lazy considering they could make complete new animations for the cut scenes. At the time of writing this the January pack is about to come out and all the other packs have used recycled animations. Cmon, I don't know the process of making the animations but it's just lazy to me.
- Price. I don't think this pack deserves the hate its getting for the price but marking 2-3 dollars off the price would be ok as it's not that much stuff in it.

Overall this pack is meh, I'm not praising it but not saying it's bad. I love this game so I love any addition to the game but the whole Frontier Pass is just all meh compared to the other expansions, but I do love the Secret Societies and Heroes. I like Maya and Gran Colombia, new city states, resources and natural disasters. I don't like the new game mode, how OP Gran Colombia is (I still enjoy their addition to the game), and especially the recycled animations. So far the other packs have been pretty good and I'm looking forward to the last 2 packs.

Reused animations I can forgive given the present situation with the pandemic and people working remotely at home. Other games have suffered delays impacting content in various ways and being cognizant of those factors is something to consider. I also, personally, struggle to understand the vindictiveness over a couple of reused leader animations; if reused assets are such a point of contention, I sincerely hope none of the more vociferous reviewers ever endure the ignominy of playing any game made prior to 2019.

Concerning Gran Colombia, I do feel that they are imbalanced next to other Civs. The additional movement available to all of Colombia's units is perhaps the most glaring, as it translates to higher yields in nearly every category. The capacity of worker units to (often) move and improve on the same turn, or of military units such as scouts to explore and outmaneuver other units is a decisive advantage. The movement mechanics here really do make any play with Gran Colombia feel like you're being allowed to take advantage of Civ5's generous movement while everyone else is required to abide the baseline of Civ6. Couple this with the unique Great Generals available (who apart from their powerful activated ability confer passive bonuses to all nearby units without era restrictions) and it is easy to see how Gran Colombia can quickly eclipse competing Civs.

The Maya are not as glaringly overpowered as Gran Colombia but their unique Campus replacement provides a hefty bonus on its own. A good start near plenty of luxury resources can also greatly assist their initial build up, and translate to the Maya being ahead militarily faster than most other Civs. This is somewhat mitigated by the penalty to yields suffered for any city outside their capital's radius, but most enterprising players won't be dissuaded by this.

I struggle to recommend this specific DLC on its own merits, but I also don't feel it warranted to recommend against it, either if one obtained it through the Frontier Pass (or in some future Steam sale that drops the price by a country mile). Apocalypse Mode is too tepid an addition to make or break the game, but it will give players hoping for more frequent and debilitating disasters something to do. Meteorite impacts are present in normal games regardless of this new mode being active or not and are at least a neat (if infrequent) event that doesn't also demand dealing with a Soothsayer sacrifice event every few turns or so.

All in all, both Gran Colombia and the Maya feel like Civs designed for newcomers who aren't familiar with the game or genre - there to be easy introductions to defensive and offensive play. I find attempts to frame them as anything else (or signs of 'lazy devs') disingenuous, but it is often the default criticism leveled by people who've confused being good at video games as an acceptable substitute for a personality.

Veteran players for whom multiplayer is everything will no doubt bar both these Civs from online play (much as Babylon was in Civ5, and Yuri in RA2), while those who own the DLC will either use it for relaxing easy mode standard games, or as an introductory tool.

I bought this because I figured why not, maybe it will add some desire to play again. Unfortunately I was reminded why I stopped playing Civ 6. This game has so many problems, boring mechanics and simply an AI that cannot win a Domination victory as it struggles and fails to take walled cities. I didn't buy the Frontier Pass because I wanted to see more improvements for the game as it feels unfinished but now that I've seen the vampires and secret societies mode I'm happy I just bought this one instead. It feels like the devs are happy with how they destroyed…. I mean I improved the game. I'm also sad to realize that I am no longer the demographic that they are aiming this game to. I don't want overpowered civs, soothsayers, vampires, battle royale, I just want to play a semi historic game where I build my empire from nothing and compete on a world stage with other empires like I did in Civ 4. Looking forward to Humankind.

People seem to really hate this DLC for some reason. To preface this I get it, Gran Colombia is a bit OP (at the time of writing this) but then there have always been plenty of OP mechanics in CIV. Frankly I love having two new American civs I always felt like the area was too barren compared to Europe. I love new civs and I love Civilization, this game has come such a long way since it's less then stellar launch. These aren't supposed to be game changing stuff it's just a bit more on top of the cake.

Games been out for what, 4 years now? God forbid they want to earn a little more cash on the side. I've seem far worse ways used to rake money out of the player base.

Apocalypse mode is a great way to spice up your standard game of civ. Love the new disasters, especially the comet strikes, but It would be great if you could still change the slider in apocalypse mode. The new civs are a m a z i n g. Gran Colombia is a bit overpowered, but in a fun way. The maya's completely change the way you play the game. It is a bit of a shame the devs reused the leader models from Amanitore and Pedro, but Simon Bolivar looks amazing so I guess I'll forgive them on that part. I'm really glad with the new gamemodes the devs are developing, and I can't wait to see what else the New Frotntier Pass has to offer.

I really enjoyed playing as the Maya and Gran Colombia. They make great civilisations to play as or play against. The apocalypse game mode was also very fun until I ran out of turns and was unable to continue the game. Developers, please make the turn limit automatically turned off when the apocalypse mode is selected, as the game mode usually lasts well into the future era. If you plan to play it, make sure to turn the turn limit off to avoid progressing to the future era and then losing everything.

I don't like this new DLC and the new mode of the game. Right now I think this game has lost from the way it supposed to be. Do take me wrong, I agree with the idea that we must protect our planet. However, it should just be a side topic instead of the main theme of a game. I love Gathering Storm, I can feel how important the resources are and I'm killing the planet while I'm using them. That double-edged blade feeling makes me unconformable. But I still love it. It gives you a hard feeling without taking away the fun of the game. Right now, this new mode is killing me, also make this game even more unreal. I agree with the idea that we will die if we don't protect our planet. But I cannot stand that we will be killed by the endless meteorolite from the sky!!! For me, that feels stupid. I will accept if the human civilizations are destroyed by the volcano, tsunami, or even a giant meteorolite. But I will not believe those endless stars will fall on Earth only because we destroyed our environment.
If Firaxis have time, I wish the can spend more time on making the AI smarter. Also, tries to give advantage or buff to the weak civilizations in game might be something you want to think about.
BTW, I love the new civs. I guess that why I didn't ask for my money back.

Programmer: How?
Developers: Let's put a couple new civilizations
Programmer: Who will make the new models , animations and texture. We need the graphics, they are on holiday(?)!
Developers: Nah, let's reuse Amanintore and Pedro's models and animations and put some whatever, not detailed, textures over. You can do it.

Oh boy, there are some issues here.

For one, the price: if you don't get the season pass, this is $8.99. That's kinda high for essentially two civs, a few natural wonders, and some city states.

Secondly, take a look at the civs: imbalanced to no end. Gran Colombia has TWO things to it that are incredibly overpowered. The first is obvious: free Great General type units that they can sometimes retire for OP benefits (an extra trade route from the very first one? Really? That's pretty powerful that early on). The second is less obvious at first but becomes apparent rapidly: +1 movement to every unit is a massive boost. It's not flashy, but that +1 movement to all units means faster exploration, easier ability to save units from dying, quicker worker improvements (can move and improve in the same turn more often), and so on. The +1 movement alone is OP, frankly. And the Maya are also pretty powerful with their unique campus replacement (at least Maya have a trade-off of sorts with housing, which can be an issue depending on where luxuries are placed at times).

Third: locking luxuries behind DLC was, is, and will continue to be a pretty bad policy here. I've said it occasionally before, but luxury resources and bonus resources should not be behind a pay-wall.

There is some good content in here, and I like the idea of Apocalypse mode and some changes and additions to natural disasters, natural wonders, and city-states.

But it's hard to recommend given that I have had, and will continue to have, some complaints regarding a la carte DLC civs being OP and hiding luxury resources behind DLC. And even if all that wasn't an issue, the content itself is a bit sparse for almost a quarter of the price of a full-out expansion.
