Spiel ansich ist gut nur kann das spiel nicht mehr starten. Habe alles versucht neu installiert oder auf fehler überprüfen lassen. War alles schön und gut aber an alle mit einem leichten verstand kauft mit bedacht.

Der Ship Simulator Extremes ist ein tolles Spiel für alle, die Schiffe und die Schifffahrt mögen.
Dieses Spiel beinhaltet vielfältige Missionen und einen freien Spiel-Modus. Auch die Karten sind groß. Außerdem haben die Schiffe ein relativ gutes Pysik-Verhalten.
Allerdings wurden bei einigen Updates neue Missionen eingefügt, die jedoch teilweise nicht richtig funkionieren.
Das Tutorial funtioniert ebenfalls nicht richtig, da sich die erste Missionen nicht beenden lässt und aus diesem Grund die nächsten Missionen nicht zur Verfügung stehen.
Außerdem sollte man für dieses Spiel viel Zeit mitbringen da gerade die Schiffe in den Missionen nicht die schnellsten sind und daher (z.B. für Patrullien-Missionen) längere Zeit (von bis zu 2 h) benötigt wird.

I enjoy this game, although it can get a little boring at times. At first the game did throw an error when I first loaded it up, but when I opened the game again it worked. I inserted my CD Key and everything works! I can run the game at High Settings on a GT 730. Note: I ran the game on Windows 10 64-bit.

Loading errors. This game has loading errors left and right. Its unplayable. Even when it was playable, I could never fully understand the controls, not that I got enough time to play and find out before having loading issues.

I used to play this game all the time a while back on a retail no steam copy and recently got it again a few years ago and have to say it is still pretty good though the performance is worse on newer machines but I found a fix to this by manually selecting the gpu to be used with the game in the nvidia control panel and all was good :).

Sadly its the only actual ship simulator out there. It does the job ok, but it is old and desperately needs updates and new features. Still its the only way to scratch that ship sim itch if you have it.

So I was a bit on the fence about this game because of all the reviews about the game not working on Windows 10. I went to the developers site and it states the game works on windows 10 so I gave it a shot. Glad I did, it work..but there were some minor issues. Also, I have not put a ton of time in yet...ran through one mission and free play for a bit.

My first issue I'm not 100% sure of why but the screen was not centered. So bad I couldn't enter the CD keys for the game and all the DLC. I have a 4k monitor and a second 1080p monitor. I had to disable the 4k and changed the games from windowed to to fullscreen. That seemed to wrok.

Other than that, the main screen has what looks like should be water moving(waves), but it's glitched for some reason. Once I got into the game everything was fine.

The game play is fun and seems to be as close as you can get to boating/shipping on a PC. I think the game and all the content was almost 19 usd. So far it's worth it to me.

It's decent on paper. Okay-ish graphics and piloting the various kinds of ships is fun. Just don't expect The Titanic.

Simulation wise, I don't really know if this can really be called a simulator because driving the ships in this game is pretty easy. There are some decent missions and campaigns included which will give you some hours of fun. But there are glitches and bugs in missions so you may have to restart or find workarounds to complete them. Overall it's not very polished. Just look at the anchor! There are no animations for such a basic component of ships.

I could recommend this (especially if it's on sale) to maritime enthusiasts earlier just because there very few such games HOWEVER IN 2021, there's no way this game deserves a recommendation. It is known to be not working in a lot of computers so you never know if it's going to work on yours. Even if you could get it working somehow, the performance is bad even if your PC well exceeds the hardware requirements. The anti-aliasing is laughable. Oh and the servers have been taken down by the devs which means you can't download any bonus missions anymore.

Overall rating = 3/10

The best thing that can be said about this game is that uninstalling it gave me back some disc space.

The startup sequence and UI look like something cobbled together by a drunken sailor.
The menu screen has some kind of graphical glitch designed to make you feel sea-sick on my PC.
I'd tell you about the gameplay, but it seems that double clicking and pressing enter doesn't start a game. You must have to use a button somewhere. I think it's on the Marie Celeste.

If you have a barge-pole, I guarantee it aint long enough to touch this game.

it used to be a great game, and educational tool, but since they no longer support W10, it can't be played. if you have an older PC, that runs W7 or XP, go ahead buy it, but do not waste your money on this game for Windows 10.

I like the concept, but the execution is poor and the game is just too buggy. if this would get a fully working remake i would absolutely recommend it, but not in this state.

Also it gets terrifying when the water randomly disappears. AGAIN.

But it's fun to yeet a ship into an iceberg and then just get away with a lifeboat.

Not many great options for shipping sims, this appears to be the best on steam, with the exception of the fishing ones.
PROS
- cheap in sales(wouldn’t play full price)
- plenty of shipping options with the dlc options
- lots of downloadable missions
- graphics not too bad for such an old game
CONS
- the game and dlcs have keys that need to be entered into the game which is a pain but is only needed first time
- to download the downloadable content you have to register with shipsim site which was a bit of a pain
- the tutorial seems helpful but 10mins into it was broken, I would have to go to a certain location in the water to complete that part of the tutorial but it wouldn’t register
- can use the on screen controls or keys, neither are great

This isn’t a great sim but it’s the best of a bad bunch, I’ve enjoyed doing the missions so far it just took a while to workout how to get to the task locations and get used to the controls. 7/10

Alright, I understand this game gets a lot of flak for its simulation and graphics. However, there are certain features about it that I would still recommend anyone who may still be interested. If maybe you wanted to simulate and emergency, then you could deliberately nail an island or ice burg with your ship. Perhaps you want to walk around the larger ships and explore them. I will admit that it is hard to bring yourself to play this game for over 2 hours a day. After all, I've owned it for maybe 8 years and I've only gotten 50 hours or so out of it. If you are looking for a simulator to play for a short while of time, this is a good game for you. Inversely, if you are looking for a simulator to play for years then I do not recommend this for you.

Edit: Wow! The only thing people do in this simulator is sink boats; I guess I'm not the only one.

If your just looking for a really, really broad entry into what it might be like to operate a ship you might be okay with this. Unfortunately if your an avid simmer (or a licensed USCG Captain like myself) you'll only end up frustrated here. Yes, the software is dated now but the potential remains for someone to bring something to the table in this genre. Alot of the 'parts' are here in this package but it very much feels like it's still in a beta or developer mode. I appreciate any developers that even bother making entry into these markets so I do not like leaving bad reviews. There just isnt enough replay value here and the lack of clear control methods will only lead you frustrated. If the mod community has embraced this title and made it better, I have been unable thus far to find it.

If you catch on a really, really good sale.. add it to your inventory as something to mess around with and to maybe support the developers but sadly, thats about it. :(

yea so i bought the game all the dlc years ago back then the key didnt work still the game key wont work why cant steam jsut remove this seems super scammy :< 1 time use keys are a scam if you uninstal thats it the key was used cant use it again.

Unfortunately this game has broken with nvidia graphics cards. I havn't been able to play this for several years. Even with my new 2070 super card the water graphics are all messed up. It really sucks because it's such a fun game. I would love to see this remade for modern cards. I have tried everything suggested on google searches with not results. Suggestions welcome

old game but its the best ship sim .wish the game developers stayed with it and gave us more maps

I found some of the tugboat stuff to be interesting and overall the concept is good. But in the End this game is tedious and repetitive
