The new additions include new enemies, new weapons, new vehicles, new gadgets, new music, and more. If you're a fan of Serious Sam, this is a no-brainer. The amount of content you receive is immense and the game is very replayable. The game was made with a lot of heart and I desperately hope we get more.

- The technical aspect of the game hasn't changed at all. The graphics are still nothing amazing, while the performance is utterly ridiculous. It feels like every step you make, the engine pulls up an RNG to decide how much frames to draw. Whenever too many enemies spawn, the game can genuinely freeze for a whole second or two.
- The gameplay is much worse than older SS games, on both visual and mechanical level. Sprinting makes you almost completely invincible, so most enemies have homing projectiles and lead their shots.
What's the point of having 100+ enemies on the screen if the game can only process 10 blood decals and body parts at the same time? Blowing up a big crowd of gnaars just to see all the viscera fall through the floor and the bloodstains vanish in an instant is super cheap. Serious Sam HD remakes do this so much better, having come out whopping 13 years prior. Wow!
Even more importantly, what's the point of having 100+ gnaars simultaneously on-screen, when it adds nothing to the gameplay beside freezes?
- The level design sees a 50/50 split between huge empty swards or snowy fields, populated by at most a hundred odd enemies, most of which are low-tier trash that evaporates in a couple of cluster grenades, and rather tight industrial/urban corridors that are easy to get overwhelmed in. The russian hinterland aesthetic is slighly more exotic than SS4's generic vistas, but are nevertheless nothing to write home about.
- The soundtrack is a quite a lot better, but whether or not it actually fits the visual theme of the game is debatable.
- Most 'new' enemies are just varieties of the old ones seen in SS4, and some of them, notably the hoppers (frog-dogs) are incredibly annoying to fight against, instead of being fun.
- The new weapons are, by and large, just reskins that replace the older ones: AKM for Tommy Gun, Perun Crossbow for Devastator and Beam Cannon is an XL2's free-standing Deathray mode. Nothing unique or particularly interesting.
- The game still offers a few vehicle sections (why is there an Abrams tank in the Russian countryside?) and, albeit just one, another brain-dead W+M1 mech section, and even a modest assortment of pipe puzzles. Pipe puzzles in a Serious Sam game... uh-huh.
- The final boss battle is actually pretty good, unlike the let-down that is SS4's bullet-sponging.
- The cringey storyline is still in town, with even more second-rate puns and turn-of-the-century cutscene animations.
Staying with and fixing SS4 would've been a better call for the dev. Better yet - figuring out what made the older games good and making the most of it.
Not worth your money.

More Serious Sam, more fun, more non stop action.
A fine game for fine people and connoisseurs.
Huge maps, good gunplay and decent graphics.
Probably a bit short but fairly priced, sadly there's few optimization issues just like serious Sam 4.
Support the awesome, support Serious Sam. ????

What happened, Sam?
Oh well...
I will start this by saying, i did enjoy it but it's really short.
Yes, i am aware it's just a stand-alone expansion, but still feels like there was so much more potential to it, potential that wasn't put into play.
With some side missions and fucking around on the map i finished it in like 4 hours.
If you're not a fan of the series or have some sort of attachment to the SS games, you might want wait for a discount on it.
As an 'average winter enjoyer', i really loved the scenery, and i really wish the game had a photo mode, guess i will have to settle with some modding to take some captures from the game.
Perun Crossbow is very powerful and satisfying to play with, it was probably my favorite weapon to play the game with (and finish it.. in like.. 4 hours...)
The maps are big enough to strafe as much as your heart pleases, and fighting is awesome.
Graphics seem slightly improved compared to SS4, BUT, the optimization is not very good.
I like the idea of involving 'Tunguska' in the context of an alien invasion, because, in real life, there was a big explosion there in 1908, which sparked some interesting theories, even X-Files made an episode about it.
What i am not happy about is that, in Serious Sam 4, there were huge problems with playing the game using DX12 (you'd get lots of annoying visual glitches), i was getting excited that maybe they fixed it in Siberian Mayhem (because trust me, there is a huge difference), but instead, they removed DX12 totally.
They also added difficulty and multiplayer achievements again (Again with the dick-measuring contests!)
Cutscenes are too... cutty. Let me rephrase, in many cases there's no transition during dialogues, they're just cut suddenly, feels very amateurish.
I'd say the game is good, but i expected some more, and it left me craving for more Sam.
Am i happy or disappointed? Yes.

Pros:
New enemies and weapons fit right in.
New levels are long - about an hour on averege, with a minimum of 500 enemies each.
More tough arenas with interesting mechanics like jump pads, insane vehicle sections.
Godly soundtrack.
Optimization is better than Sam 4.
Interesting secrets to find, like classic throwback levels (and no parkour ones).
Unlockable multiplayer characters and weapon skins.
Tough achievements that actually pose a challange.
Cons:
It's over after the last level, and I need more.
