Last week saw the 10th anniversary of The Game Awards hosted by Geoff Keighley, celebrating the best games of the year and giving us a glimpse of what’s to come from your favourite game studios in 2025 and beyond.

We’re no stranger to The Game Awards, you might remember last year we debuted a trailer for Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II after an epic performance from Heilung, and we announced our game at the show in 2019. It was a pleasure then to return this year with four nominations:

• Best Audio Design
• Best Performance
• Best Narrative
• Games for Impact

Ninja Studio Head Dom Matthews, Ninja Audio Director David Garcia Diaz, and Senua herself, Melina Juergens, represented the studio this year. We’re incredibly happy to share that we brought home not one, but two awards.

First up was Melina’s incredible win for Best Performance, which was presented by actor Troy Baker, Bethesda’s Todd Howard, and the original Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford! Melina is actually the first person to win this award twice, so it felt extra special. Watch her receive the award here:

We were also honoured to pick up the award for Best Audio Design. As you know, great care and effort went into our audio design not only to create an immersive world for players using binaural audio, but also to give players the opportunity to experience Senua’s unshared reality of hearing voices that others don’t.

Winning these awards means a great deal to us at the studio. Our mission is to craft life-changing art with game-changing tech, and these awards are proof that we’re on the right path.
