I love the overall ps2 aesthetics/level of detail , kinda wish the menus had more charm to them but it is a rally car game at the end of the day. I would love to see this dev dip their toes into a sim cade gran Turismo, clone!

I especially appreciate the livery editor -- something that Dirt Rally 2.0 inexplicably does not have.
At first, the amount of grip cars seemed to have made me think it'd be too arcade-y -- but when you start seriously killing clock by putting more hours in, the game's physics really start to shine.
I love how many variable surface stages this game has -- which other rally games seem to also lack.
One small critique is that the pace notes are a bit sketchy -- some high-speed sections leading into aggressive turns are provided for with late call-outs, leading to death by tree.
Other than that, there are little to no game-affecting glitches. So, a pretty airtight rally experience at the expense of only a few megabytes.

Focuses on the fun aspects of rallying. Reminds me of the way some PS1-era games were structured. No BS intros or exposition, just pure rally joy. Loading times are lightning fast, so you are not thrown off your mojo between stages. Lack of officially licensed cars is not a problem at all, and it's always clear what real-world rally car "inspired" any given vehicle in the roster. I'd rather have fun semi-fantasy racing like this than officially licensed, soulless borefests (WRC-series, I'm looking at you!)
