Das Spiel war vor ein paar Jahren noch wirklich gut aber inzwischen ist es echt schlecht geworden. Die Sichtweite ist nicht wirklich vorhanden also man sieht ungefähr wo man hin fährt das wars aber auch schon.

Dieses game setzt sich wirklich dafür ein eine faire Balance zwischen allen Spielern zu schaffen. Durch reinpayen und premium bekommt man keinen Vorteil und man kann sich keine maxed Roboter mit maxed Kanonen bauen die alle geringverdiener onehitten. Danke

Ich hatte wirklich viel Spaß an dem Spiel und wollte es nochmal ausprobieren. Ich war geschockt von den Updates und es war wesentlich schlechter, deswegen wurde es wieder deinstalliert. Schade.

Dieses Spiel war das aller erste Game das ich je gezockt habe und es war einfach unglaublich geil. ABER, ich weiß einfach nicht warum, doch die Entwickler haben so ein dreck daraus gemacht. Für viele war das Chest system schon ein Grund aufzuhören aber ich habe mich weiter damit arrangiert. Ich war von dem System begeistert seinen Roboter komplett selbst bauen zu können, diese Freiheit zu haben und immer wieder was neues zu bauen. Das große Ziel war das Bauen einen Megabots. Darauf hat man hingearbeitet. ABER WARUM WURDEN DIE MEGABOTS ENTFERNT. DAS WAR DAS GEILSTE ÜBERHAUPT UND DIE ENTWICKLER NEHMEN ES EINFACH RAUS, WIE KANN MAN DENN SO BESCHEUERT SEIN, SO ETWAS FUCKING GEILES ZU ENTFERNEN. PLS developer of Robocraft, BRING, MEGABOTS, BACK like they were before PLEASE.

Das was aus dem Spiel geworden ist, ist nichts weiter als ein trauriges stück fehlerhafte Entscheidungen, DIE NIEMAND aber ABSOLUT NIEMAND nachvollziehen kann.

Dieses Spiel hat definitiv ein Ehrenplatz in meinem Herzen aber die Entwickler sind nichts weiter als Affen die sich dachten, ACH KOMM, SCHEIß DRAUF, LASS UNS UNSER GAME EINFACH MAL RICHTIG DEN BACH RUNTER GEHEN UND DEN GRÖßTEN SHIT DER WELT DRAUS MACHEN.

Falls irgendjemand bis hierhin gelesen hat, vielleicht auch mal diejenigen die ihr eigenes Spiel ge****t haben.
Es ist auf jeden Fall wert es zu Spielen, aber ich Empfehle Idioten (hust hust DÜMMSTEN DEVELOPER DER WELT) nicht weiter.

Ich wollte mich einfach mal abregen, obwohl ich jetzt noch wütender bin als zuvor.

PLEASE. DEVELOPER. #BRINGMEGABOTSBACK

AND NOT THE STUPID MEGABOTS THAT YOU CAN ONLY USE IN FUCKING KI MODE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS THIS SHIT.

Früher war das Spiel unnormal geil aber jetzt ist es einfach der größte Schmutz. Es gibt nur scheiß modi und es ist pay to win geworden. Dieses Spiel ist das perfekte Beispiel für ein Spiel, welches durch Updates komplett kaputt gemacht wurde. Robocraft macht zu 0% Spaß und es gibt für keinen Menschen auf dieser Welt einen Grund dieses Spiel nochmal zu spielen. Mein Beileid an alle die dieses Spiel spielen und auch an alle Familienmitglieder. Es muss bestimmt schwierig sein mit so einer Person Kontakt zu haben. ich wollte dieses Spiel, welches ich vor 3 Jahren gespielt habe mal wieder spielen doch ich habe keine Roboter zerstört sondern meine Kindheit wurde zerstört.

Movement parts which worked well in the past are ruined now because uncontrollable and movement part hybrid vehicles dont work any good now it was better in long past and they ruined all my vehicles which worked well before with updates which ruined the movement parts functionalities controllability and movement speed. No more aircontrol for a jumping mech with thrusters anymore and no climbing mech with insect leg in the front all the time i investigated to construct my vehicles is gone and ruined due to bad updates. Instead of nerving the always overpowered flyers they made them even stronger and made the mechs weaker which already was a primary target of most other players / flyers. I have no fun with this when the movement parts dont do what they should.

bring back the 2013-2015 build of the game the new version just ruined the game for so many people me being one of them.

like i did have fun ngl but after 2016 they killed this game without haveing small builds be glasscannons
and larger robots can actually be tanks.

This Game was at its best in the Early Access. After the official release it has gotten consistently worse with each update. If they published the old version as a separate game, this one would die in a matter of days.

This game is actually pretty good, but holy flying fvck, the server issues are unavoidable.
*Did you just load the game?, well we gotta connect to the server.
*Did you just swap menu pages?, well that's a server reconnect right there.
*Trying to edit your robot?, another server reconnect incoming.
*Did you just click any button at all?, you bet your @ss that's a reconnect!.
*Did you just breathe for half a micro-second while the game was running?, Be prepared, Tactical Reconnect inbound!.

i could go on, but its pointless. this is just another decent free to play game ruined by horrible server connection, and placement. if you live in any major city, this game probably runs alright, but if you live in a rural area, save your time, and don't bother.

Robocraft was great once. Back in 2014-2015 it was some of the best fun you could have in a video game. Now it's mediocre at best. Feels like a browser game. Instead of ruining a perfect game, they should have released their updates as a sequel and named it Robocrap.

I stopped playing in 2015 but still visit sometimes to see if it has improved. It hasn't.

This game was fun in beta, I no longer enjoy it. Maybe I just don’t know the meta anymore but it seems like at some point creativity in design stopped being rewarded and now it’s just copies of the same builds that everyone is using. Honestly don’t know why my playtime is so high but it makes my review look important. This review exists partyly to acknowledge that yes I am embarrassed about that number. But also the game that I played so much back then doesn't exist anymore.

It was good in the past like years ago. I keep coming back every once in awhile to see if it reverted.

How you built your bot use to matter. You had a pilot seat you had to protect and you couldn't heal. instead of auto heal and health bars. this meant you could hide your pilot in weird spots on your build and had to guess where your target put theirs. positioning and where you hit mattered. now its just hp blobs.

They tweaked hover blades and other forms of travel to put a torque on the robot to keep it level so you didnt have to build well. This actually removed a lot of unique build styles.

just meh used to be my favorite game now i wont touch it.

I want 2015 robo craft not this shlock.

It's kinda weird what happened to this game, they had a big growing community, but then they took this quick turn in development to make it what felt like more e-sports friendly direction, which could have from a financial stand point made sense since that scene was blowing up at the time, but the game just wasn't made for that.

a real shame, the game had a lot of potential and was really fun in its early development, but lost its original shine after every new update. RIP.

This game used to be great, but over time, it has been ruined by unfortunate updates. It has been a while since I've really played this game, so this review may be out of date in some areas, but Robocraft is definitely not what it used to be.

Here is a list of some of the things that I think contributed to Robocraft's downfall:

1. Respawning. Before gamemodes that allowed respawning were introduced, the construction of robots was more of a challenge, since it had to last the whole game and take hits.

2. Mech legs. They could have been fine, but they ended up being too durable and mobile and taking away a lot of challenges of robot design.

3. Removal of the tech tree. The tech tree allowed different players to specialize in different types of combat, mobility, and design, and it encouraged more team play and variation.

4. Removal of the parts shop. Being able to spend your winnings on parts of your choice was critical to Robocraft. Without it, resource management aspects were lost, and players could no longer make strategic choices about how to improve.

5. Addition of the robot shop. Yes, some people dislike the building portion of the game, but part of the fun was seeing how your construction skills AND piloting skills measured up to the enemies. Now, if you don't get a tried and tested robot from the shop, you'll likely be at a disadvantage since pretty much everyone else will have top of the line robots.

6. Being able to have different types of weapons on one bot. Especially considering that this update turned everyone into a medic, the game became less of a team sport with communication and strategy and more of a collection of all-in-one war machines seeing who could dump more firepower into the others more quickly.

7. Addition of large, expensive, extremely powerful weapons. When the game was just SMGs, plasmas, railguns, and medics (and melee), the weapon classes were well balanced and no particular type had a built in advantage. However, with guided missiles and other crazy weapons (I honestly don't remember what they are), if you couldn't afford one, you were instantly at a disadvantage until you got one. Also, the guided missiles made hiding behind walls no longer possible and removed one of the more fun aspects of the game, forcing many battles into guerilla warfare.

8. Passive healing. This ties into the same argument against respawning. It voids the permanence of damage and forgives risky or stupid maneuvers that shouldn't be valid.

9. Making the default gamemode take forever. Sometimes, it's nice to sit down and play for less than half an hour and get multiple games in. Or have something bad happen in one game and still have time for some better ones. Or you just want to battle test your robot and be able to make changes to it more frequently. Either way, the old pacing was better.

I'm sure there are things I'm forgetting, but I really did enjoy Robocraft before it gradually declined. I hope future updates learn from the past and bring back some of the old things that worked. I'd love to play this game again, but as of right now, I can't really recommend it.

I used to play Robocraft more than few years ago, played thru season one and two. It is really sad in some way to see where the game progressed. I still love the concept of it, I think it's very unique, but it went to waste in some way.

So I'll give this game a legit review considering the amount of time I put into it.

I started playing Robocraft back in 2014/15 during its early, golden age. This game practically devoured my middle school years, and that's where the bulk of my hours come from. Before crates, modules, the power system and so on were introduced, this game had a real charm to it that isn't really there anymore (anyone who played during that time knows exactly what I'm talking about). I mean the countless memories of this game and the nostalgia it holds is great. The creativity was amazing. There were robots that'd be completely cosmetic, and there'd be those that were created for one specific role. You'd have dedicated bombers, front-line tanks, people sniping from the back, medics focusing only on the megabot - it was an all out battle. Unfortunately, that game no longer exists. There was a period where this game was one of the most played on Steam, but around 2016/17, they started making poor decision after another and the game inevitably lost its glow.

However, I still (and will always) have a little soft spot for this game. Some of the changes were actually cool and added interesting dynamics to the gameplay (like modules, new movement types, clans, etc). It was when they removed foundational elements like tiers, megabots, the tech tree and much more where I began to lose interest. They've attempted to bring these back, but nothing will come close to what this game once had. I do recommend this game because it can still be fun, but at the same time it's like playing a shell of what it once was. Part of me really wishes I could relive those days because of the pure enjoyment. I don't think the game at its current state deserves a thumbs down, it just used to be so much better.

Please do me and yourself a favor and do not, I repeat DO NOT spend money or buy lifetime premium for this dying game. All of my hours are from the glory days of 2016-2017 when we had giga bots and it was so much fun, now look at this once amazing game ruined with 'UPDATES'. Recently re-downloaded to see what's up and my god they have to add bots to matchmaking which is terrible.

Thank you for reading this review, i'm just trying to save you from spending money on a hollowed out shell.

Sad to say this used to be one of my favorite games, took a break little over a year ago due to IRL issues. Reinstalled the game today and all my bots are garbage now, healing is entirely ruined and useless now.......took me a combined 10 minutes of wait time to get into games only to have them over in less then 5 minutes each..... what did you guys do to this game.... used to be great now its less fun then most phone games i come across :/

I may only have ~30 hours on record, but I've played this game since around 2015. Back then the community was booming. We had pilot seats that encouraged true creativity, we had physics that made building your vehicle a process that actually mattered and a challenge in it's own right, we had balance that gave everyone a chance, and we had a progression system that made improving your skills in the game run and rewarding.

It seemed things were going well, and Robocraft was well on it's way to being a staple multiplayer game. So what did they devs do? Well, in a poor attempt to make the game marketable to casual players and no doubt to increase profits, they removed everything the established community enjoyed about the game, and replaced those features with microtransactions, ungodly grinds, and a generic physics system.

The pilot seats? Removed. Now you can just build a square with 4 wheels and a gun.

The balance? Gone. Replaced by giant weapons overpowered to oblivion. Which of course could be obtained for a price.

The progression? Loot boxes, premium currencies, and grinding.

The physics? Turned floaty and unrealistic to the point where a 6th month old could build a functioning robot.

This game just isn't Robocraft anymore.

I think a lot of us stopped playing when this game got really P2W, and I sure am complaining a lot. That being said, the base game concept itself is still absolutely fantastic.

If the dev team would create a sequel or new version where they reverse all the cashgrab changes they made and restore Robocraft into what it once was, people would be happy to just pay for the game. This would remove the need to be free to play, and help fund further updates. I can't imagine the devs make that much off of micro transactions right now anyway.

I do not recommend this game based on what the devs mistakes have turned it into, but I absolutely believe the concept and core gameplay deserve a second chance.

So much time and money down the drain. This game purports itself to be creative arena combat, and 5 years ago it was truly glorious, with matches being a pure contest of building and driving prowess. Nowadays the game is just not fun anymore. Changes dumbed things down by removing key mechanics such as armor blocks and limiting creativity to whatever can be protected by physical shields, and then an influx of ever increasing weapons, modules, and powerups makes it impossible to stay on top of the game without grinding or spending money. In addition, matchmaking is bad and I've had trouble finding matches.

I have a great passion for Crafting/building stuff but this game turned me down.

If you stopped playing robocraft because of the bad updates and the epic loot update, they are gone and it has returned to it has returned to the better days. Seriously if you are thinking about picking it back up i recommend you do

What the developers did to this game is disgusting. They threw all the things that made the game good, and threw it out the window and set it on fire.

Let me explain: Physics in this game was pretty good before. Your car actually felt like a car, your plane felt like a plane and everyone wasn't traveling at mach 3 all the time. Your vehicle may have felt a little sluggish, but it felt realistic and strong. Now it feels like a chaotic mess where you have mechs strapped with rockets and flying everywhere.

I also really miss how you got items in this game too. There was a better tech tree than nowdays, where if you had a tier 1 vehicle, you could earn tier points to unlock new items for that tier. I think that was way more fun than universal tech points. And when you unlocked new items, you could use your main currency to buy more of the items that you've already unlocked. To go to the next tier, simply add more stuff to your vehicle and you're on the next tier in no-time. Also, matches back then was WAY more balanced than today, as you were matched with other people with the same tier.

Robocraft also had a few good maps and gamemodes that is now gone. One of them was in Mars and was a Team Deathmatch/Capture Point mode. To win, you had to simply kill all enemy vehicles or capture the enemy base that was located at their spawn. It was simple and fun.

There is a lot more things that i wanted to write about this, but that would take up an entire day to write. All i wanted to say, is that I'm very, very disappointed in you FreeJam. You took a masterpiece, and blew it up. You crushed my childhood game.

Even though this is my own opinion, I really dislike how FreeJam just shoved us veterans to the side and only focused on newcomers. Not all veterans dislike how this game is currently ofcourse, but the lack of attention we've gotten is bad. Hope FreeJam can listen to us someday.

This game sucks now. Ever since they nerfed the nano healers and changed them so you can't damage anybody with them the game just went down hill. AVOID THIS GAME. The current Devs are crappy Care Bears.

This game is a husk of what is used to be. The developers could've listened to what the fans want and this game could've been relevant. I'm sure no ones really going to listen to this review though. I'm a veteran that just recently visited the game again and I'm truly disapointed. They made the game P2W. We all know P2W is the end of any game.

Absolutely massacred. Literal ghost of what it used to be. Been playing since 2014-2015(?), have 600+ hours and the dev team is populated exclusively by people with zero decisive skills. Don't bother playing, your build will get torn apart by shitty rebalances and changing of items to the point it wont work whenever freejam gets their fingers out their mouths long enough to string together code

Personally, I think this game was so much better in 2015-2016, now you have to either pay for premium, or grind for hours on end to level up even once. I miss the old robocraft, where it was more fun to play than pay to play. I hate that I have to give it a not recommended status, but it just is not the gem it used to be.

Ok I've played this game quite a bit both when it was brand new and even tank tracks didn't exist. I've played through many updates some brought features I didn't like some did bring features I liked.

I used to have fun playing in higher tiers and ranks when tiers where removed.
Balance always was an issue but it wasn't as much of an issue to me as I found fun In my bots that were kind of effective at times.

But after returning to the games after seeing the devs put in the effort to restore the backup of the game I used both old and newly built bots. The old ones of course are mostly outdated and aren't as effective anymore I was a plasma player but now it feels entirely useless to me except on my t2 hovercraft since there are tiers again now (1-5) from all of my now T-5 vehicles the only one I had some fun in playing with was my healer flak hybrid and any attempt I make at building something that can fight instead of hide behind a beefy teammate gets shredded by the new meta. Only in T1 and a bit of T2 possibly I still can make a vehicle that is both fun to play, decent and good looking because the meta doesn't hit as hard in those tiers but lasers are the way to go mostly. If you want to play T5 you have no option other than to play the meta there is nearly no fun there it feels extremly unbalanced and unfun I still have more fun in TF2 currently with the bot crisis than I have here in T5 which is really bad if you want to play the game because you want to built something good looking and fun to play stay in the lower tiers do not go to tier 4 and 5 or only play singleplayer or on a custom match with friends.

In general I don't recommend the game now even if I ignore the so called good versions if I just play the game like it is now like I never had played it before then I would say no it just isn't that fun.

Used to play a lot in 2014 to 2016, when it was a great game. Not sure what went wrong, but it turned out pretty mediocre. I sense a split between old school players (like myself) and a newer generation of players. It was worth the time back back then, but today no longer. If the would roll back some changes they may get some players back, but thats to doubt. Would not recommend today.

This game had a potential back in 2014 of being one best Free to play games on steam. But boy was this company clueless about what this community wanted... They literally took everything about this game that was fun and enjoyable and straight up deleted it. All they would've needed to do is talk to the community, but even after all this time, they're still failing to do that.

The thing I used to love about this game is that it always felt like I need to do something.
x: - Get to higher tier
- Increase my level
- Completing the tech tree
- getting a Megabot
- Improve my bot design
- and much more.

Grinding this game never felt like a chore and that was the absolute best, it's what made a lot of us come back for more. I remember being satisfied when I finally achieved the next tier after playing countless games, each few games I would rework my vehicle to improve the flaws that my foes had shown.

But now, the feeling of progression is lacking.
And knowing this company, this game isn't gonna be the same as it ones was.

I feel sorry for all the Robocraft Veterans that played / Grinded this game for countless hours just to have their game get ripped to shreds by this incompetent company.

I wish that this game returns to it's original state from back in 2014, but my hopes for this game to get better again is getting slimmer each year. But I still have a slight bit of hope. Please FreeJam, please try to make this game similar to what it ones was.

RIP Robocraft from 2014.

just writing for nostalgia's sake, back in 2014 and 2015, those were the fun times, the tier system, the 'bringing a high tier railgun with a tiny vehicle to one shot everyone in low tier' players, the 'put a railgun with a bunch of helium to be a orbital laser' players, the non-weaponized spotters, the match up of whoever have a dedicated nano healer they win scenarios, it might sounds broken but man was it fun back then.

i just wish that this game stayed that way.

2014 I worked my way up from noob to getting the mega seat and as soon as I did they removed it and removed tiers. I was very sad! Boss battle was probably the funnest game mode and now its gone and ive uninstalled but kept tabs on the updates. They added battle royal and loot boxes and just awful stuff but like the rest of the comments it had good memories and ill remember those good memories, eventually good things die in the end... goodbye friend.

What magnificent memories, fantastic nights I spent playing this.
These changes to the feel of the game, to how it looks, how it is played, and how your gameplay is built, is a dry crumbling husk of a shell, of what it used to be.
The game is now akin to a shattered Gladiators helmet, buried in the sand of the Colosseum.
You stare at that Helmet, and wonder how many foes this man overtook and claimed victory, only to have been taken by the sands of time, and the eventuality that was their defeat...

This game has been swept by time.
Be in good health, fellow Robocrafters, we salute who this game was, and we wish well those who make their own memories with what it is now.
We can never go back, for now, we can only cherish what we remember...

I don't know what to say. It's just that I made so many goddamn memories in this game and it gave me as much joy as minecraft did. The community was so perfect too. yea the game is dead i'm just writing this because it gave me the feels thinking about it and it's weird because it died such a silent death despite how many people loved it. all i'm left to say is i'll never forget the memories i made and goodbye.

Well, it's better than it was when I quit playing over the loot boxes in 2015, but they removed different tier blocks and made some weird choices with the guns. Still not what it was in 2014 - way to go backward.

this game used to be so cracked before they change the fire for the plasma guns from one big burst to rapid fire, and when you actually had to level up and unlock the weapons,wings and other shit, after they changed to the crates system and you couldn't earn the in game currency from matches and you just got it from the stuff you got for crate, it completely ruined it for me and my friends, and then even after that when they changed it so you just have every block and weapon type but just a limit on how many you can place in one building square, so cringe, wouldn't recommend ever playing

TLDR: Don't play it, game has deteriorated and the staff is actively working against players.

Let me preface this by saying I was once a massive supporter of this game. But I cannot recommend this game to anyone now. Forgoing the fact that the development team announced they have ceased active work on Robocraft, It is not what it once was. The mechanics of this game used to be extremely complex, but that made the learning curve for new players similar to that of other MOBAs like LoL, DOTA, etc. The devs killed that complexity in hopes of increasing retention, it had the opposite effect.

But lets not talk about that development problem. Lets talk about how the moderators and admins of this game are not fair and just. I was a member of a clan known as Quantum, we played and, largely, dominated the TDM game mode for as long as i can remember up until last year. Last year, a series of events unfolded which lead to one of our members being unfairly banned for a satirical youtube video depicting one of the admins. Some of the clan members, myself included, were quite cross. We got our hands on their chat logs, found evidence of bias against our clan in particular, and were handed down appropriate bans for this discovery and confrontation.

Now, I say all of that for one specific reason. If you ever find yourself on the bad side of a moderator or admin with this specific company, You. Will. Not. Win. It does not matter how correct you are, how much evidence you have, or how unfair they treat you. There is no reasoning with the player moderators and admins who run this game, nor was there any reasoning with the developers when they were making balance changes over the last 2 years.

thats not even mentioning the Sharkporeum situation we had, with a moderator trying to get a drunk clan member to say something bannable on stream because of personal animosity towards him and our clan. Nor the inability for any staff to give clearly misbehaving other staff members and corrective action, they just pass it up the tree that was FreeJam's ticket system.

I will say it again, the primary reason i cannot recommend this game is because the staff is horrendous at handling any sort of confrontation, and they deliberately removed the mechanical depth that made this game enjoyable in the first place. My name is A.sleep, and even if i was unbanned i wouldn't go near this game again. Not unless Teyloll, Baeren, and the rest of the current staff are removed and replaced (except for Brutal, shomofo, and Karillya, they're fine).

Even after all this time I still can't believe how hard this game fell from grace. This game really is just a shell of what it once was back in 2015.

- Mega bots are even more forgotten and punished
- Battle Arena has been reduced to a brain dead 5v5 point capturing mode
- What Battle mode you can play is now based on a rotating schedule
- There is no longer any reason not to just build a SMG Gun bed and wreck house
- Medic guns can no longer deal damage
- Modules now suck even harder especially the energy module
- You now have to pay robits to remove CPU limitations in a garage bay
- Life Time Premium is still $50 after all these years

For us old players there is nothing left to return to, the only reason I can even think of for booting up this game again is to see your creations for old times sake. It really sucks to see the game in its current state when I have so many great memories of what things used to be like. I guess this was inevitable but that doesn't justify how badly Freejam dropped the ball. overall It was fun while it lasted boys, but RIP my boys in the Invictus Deus Squad y'all were wild.

back when there where multiple game modes you can play whenever,
back when it was possible to earn in game currency via playing and not spending,
back when the game was playable.

Used to be a very good game, played it for hours on end making powerful robots that killed anyone and anything. Back in 2014-2015 you had to know how to properly distribute damage throughout your bot. using a method called triforcing or linking blocks together in a way that makes the damage follow a specific route. Also flying was realistic and not limited to certain angles and maneuvers. then they added new guns which take no skill whatsoever to hit targets with, you just lock on and shoot. All this made one of the best games on steam into a half baked potato made for stupid people or toddlers.

So despite my small hours i have had a pretty decent experience with the robocraft back in 2014-2015, you could build and spend hours making a robot that looks and works great nowdays its just slamming pieces together without any real work and hope that you dont get one shot

The game was great once, but as i said once.

Robocraft is now a shadow of its former self, it was great before with credits being relatively easy to gain and the tech tree being better before but ever since the crates update the game was led to a spiraling downfall, who knows maybe you enjoy the game as it is now but for me it just isn't fun anymore.

Used to be a lot of fun. I was level 300 when I stopped playing. I came back to it today and the weapons are pretty much ruined. All weapons do the same amount of damage from a small automatic laser to a railgun. The matchmaking works on a 30 minute rotation where it's the same map and same gamemode for everyone and there's no way to change it unless you play a custom match with some friends. Enemy players are very hard to kill because all weapons do so little damage now and everyone spams medics. I came in hoping nostalgia would make it fun and was thinking the player base had just shrunk.

Haven't played this in a while but I'll warn you to stay away from Robocraft. It used to be an amazing game back in 2015, allowing for creative building to gain you a competitive edge. The game and matchmaking was balanced by a great tier system deviding the specific robots a player could build.
For some reason the developers decided to change up these core mechanics, removing or revamping them. Such as the removal of the tiers and allowing multiple types of weapons on vehicles. After the megabots update things kind of started to go downhill.
It was great while it lasted! Stay away from it for now, until they release a 'classic mode' or something like that.

Used to be really fun and allowed you to be creative with builds that you could actually win with. Nowadays its a cluster**** of a$$ builds dominating anything that looks nice. Good building skills got thrown out the window for garbage balancing.

This game used to be awesome back in the days of alpha/beta, massive battles with many players and actual physics, back in the day it felt like a blast playing, i can't say the same for it now though, battles have been largely scaled down to small maps and small playercounts, i know there are players that like the more competitive style for games but i myself don't and i like the more whacky/chaotic feeling it used to have, if this review was written in 2015 it would have been positive but the changes that have been implemented i do not support, at the games current state i really don't recommend it, if you could get ahold of a time machine and go back in time and play i would give it a big fat recommendation

played since the original megabots roamed the roboland. the game was was incredible, had its ups and downs even seemed like a bunch of hipsters took control and ruined the game big time. i keep giving it another chance and fall in love with it over and over... sadly its a love hate relationship and i always leave due to some monsterous update that makes it very disapointing. they seem to fix some issues and another arises but thats due to inexperience satisfying the wrong crowd... *Newbs cough cough*

As of now, the game seems like it's just a sandbox drive-and-destroy, which might have been their plan. I however, much preferred before, where you had to grind for dust so you could make the blocks, and had a finite amount in your inventory. Oh, and also, balanced matchmaking is something of the past, you can find people from different tiers, yes, but that's it really (from my experience).
This game has gone through ups and downs, but this just seems like an all-time low for it at the moment.

There's just no purpose really, there are no goals, just a sandbox. i know there are people that like these games, but for people like me, who've been with it since a long time ago, it's sad to see what's gone and what it has become.

they changed this shit so much bro. I had like 400 hours when I was twelve and then some scuffed ass update came out and changing it forever and now its absolutely terrible. Please revert back to 2015 version

You should have played it when it came out. It was great! The feature of building your own tank and fighting with it was something new and so much fun! The maps where fun and big. It was kind of last-man-standing, in a nice competetive way. There were no restrictions to your ideas.
But over the time, this game became weird. Now its some little arena deathmatch. I dont like it. The TecTree is to big, so getting back in the game is really hard and not worth it.

Lets wait until a new Developer gets inspired and produces a good version of that whatever crap it now is.

Back in 2014-2016, maybe 2017 this game was the best. Good to decent balancing. good load times, 10v10 elimination modes boss battles with megabots. However now in 2020 it is just awful. The guns now need to be leveled up, as well as unlocked for new comers. The load times are long. Can't pick which game mode you want to play. There are meta builds. Flying is the worst, you get picked out of the sky so fast you can't even get a shot out.
I used to love this game, I remember being so proud of the builds I made, and listening to my music while playing it, have so many songs linked to this game. Now I can't even look at it. I've never seen a game fall so far from grace. It had so much potential. The game can potentially be revived, if the devs start updating it again, but that seems unlikely. May you rest in peace Robocraft. (In my opinion the game went on a decline when they added in the aeroflak gun to counter the tesseract builds plaguing the game.)

Robocraft was once an amazing game. You could be as creative as you wanted. It was about build the bot of your dreams. Now it's nothing a cashgrab. A pay to win mess. Micro-transaction after micro-transaction. It's sad. A game with potential was ruined by its developers. It happened before, It happened again, and the cycle will never end. The game is nothing more than a helpless creature in endless pain. It's time the devs put Robocraft out of its misery. Let Robocraft rest. Don't waste your time. Get some work done. Go listen to music. Play Minecraft. Play any game but Robocraft. Find a better game with developer that care.

I feel like the old robocraft was way better. The new system with gun upgrades just doesn't work for me. It's still a fun game but if you're an OG, the UI will be very confusing.

I remember playing this game 6 years ago, during my college days. I really enjoyed the grind upping my level through the tiers to level 100. It was my dream to build a megabot, and after months of grind I finally got to building one. But sadly I never knew my time playing this game was limited. The time they removed tiers we players lost the excitement or leveling up and finally building a flying bot. Then they removed megabots. All I had left was a lump of cubes in my inventory. And I remember the day I stopped playing was just after they introduced loot crates. This was the nail in the coffin. Serious advice to any devs who read this... Don't build something so great just to ruin it like this. I'd still recommend this game, and would definitely play it if they took it back to those days. As of current state.. please don't waste your time like I did...
