Quick thoughts: Unique puzzle game, Some cool puzzles to many dexterity puzzles for my liking the story is pretty lack luster and many times I felt frustrated because I knew the solution but was having to attempt the real life dex check. If you have played EVERY other first person puzzle game then this one is by no means terrible but its not where you should look first, second or even third in my opinion.

10/10. Metroid-vania, FPS type game. Worth full price.

Now I finally got the chance.
Good game, good story. Puzzles are amazing. And the narrator is great.
This cartoon-ish style is just my type.
If you love cartoon sci-fi, or physics puzzle games. Just buy it. Don't hesitate. The price is good.
Come on, it's quantum physics!

Kim Swift is rightly lauded for her work on Portal; but with Quantum Conundrum, it feels like she and the rest of the development team just phoned it in. AAA, this ain't.
On the plus side:
- Decent cartoon visuals (if you don't look too closely) that include a few clever gags.
- Clever physics puzzles that are reminiscent of those in Portal but feature different mechanics.
On the minus side:
- Those cartoon visuals start repeating veeeeery quickly.
- The overall idea is pretty much cookie cutter Portal: a zany and insane authority figure/disembodied voice directs a hapless protagonist through a range of physics puzzles separated into different chambers. Story is delivered through the Voice's monologues as you go through the puzzles, and possibly through environmental cues later on--I got tired of playing long before that ever happened.
- The puzzle chambers are separated by loooong stretches of meandering corridors and stairs that serve no game purpose other than transport. A golden opportunity for further story development was wasted here. You don't want your players wandering through emptiness long enough to realize that they've stopped playing the game. And if your visuals keep repeating during that time, well, boooooring.
- The Voice isn't half as funny as the game creators seem to think he is. The zany, entertainingly callous humor was pitch-perfect with Cave Johnson; with the Inventor, it seems clear that someone thought they could duplicate that success by, well, duplicating it. Except they used a ditto machine rather than a high-quality modern photo printer.

In particular, it wasn't as difficult as Portal. This had a much larger focus on platforming. For me, the hardest parts of the game were attempting to make challenging jumps, rather than thinking of the solutions to the puzzles. After my first hour, I was surprised that I had yet to be thrown any difficult chambers. Not that I felt I needed them, but the professor is quick to provide hints too. There were some puzzles that entirely focused on physics as well, so it was a lot of trial and error until you managed them.
A big problem was that it seemed like there are only a few core puzzle elements. Chambers often rehashed these core ones, only really changing the overall layout, the amount of times you needed to do them, or to do them in a set timeframe.
Despite that, I was interested in following along with the game's story and John de Lancie provides a fantastic voice for the Professor. It wasn't as interesting as Portal's story, but it was enough to keep me going. However, the game's ending was quite abrupt and lacklustre. It was a disappointment.
The game’s set within an impossibly large manor. Although unique, it quickly becomes stale. Levels comprise of very noticeable prefabricated set pieces that gradually become dull to see. The book titles were well done though, being science puns of real books. The paintings could be funny when changing dimensions but like everything else, you see eventually them repeated so many times.
Overall, it was enjoyable, but easy mostly, with the really tough parts being the game's platforming. For a casual experience, it was fine but for anyone looking for more of a brainteaser, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Rating: 7/10 stars!
Base game:
Pros - Innovative gameplay mechanics never done before. Unique even to Portal
- Unique charm that makes the game enjoyable
- Cleverly designed levels and puzzles that utilize all the different dimensions available
- Challenging enough without be too difficult
- Satisfying puzzle completion
- Decent characters
Cons:
- (conflicting with previous point) more needs to be put into character for it to more iconic
- Rather forgettable game/characters in general. Nothing sticks out.
- DLC is absolutely terrible. It's only level packs with 0 interaction with existing characters.
- THE ENDING IS RATHER meh.
In conclusion.
Go get it if you're a fan of Portal and puzzle games in general. It's definitely worth a play and will keep you hooked until you're done. But don't go in expecting a Portal-clone.

The puzzles proposed in the mansion will require your logical abilities to decipher them. It effectively managed its growing pace of complexity, despite some technical flaws. The learning curve is so well outlined that the players feel rewarded at all times.

The game introduces its own set of mechanics, which revolve around matter and time manipulation.
Despite some frustratingly difficult platforming/timing levels towards the end the difficulty is overall rather low, with most puzzles solved in a matter of minutes at most.
I eventually decided to quit trying the same 'couch surfing' level over and over again after dying 30 times to it. Nevertheless I've enjoyed the few hours I got out of the game up until that point.

Honestly, this game makes me just want to play Portal again because it's so much better. This is the cheaper, more tedious and boring knockoff.

No, I am not being manipulated by an omnipotent being as marvelous as Q, though if I were, I would be honored to be manipulated by such a handsome, and cunning godlike being such as he.

The gameplay consists of physics based puzzles and platforming. Most puzzles aren't difficult and they're satisfying to solve. The gameplay does have quite a bit of platforming so be prepared for that. I started playing on a controller but I quickly changed to mouse and keyboard because platforming requires a decent amount of precision.
There are a couple of hair pulling sections where you will die a lot altough they're not that common. Good thing is the checkpoint system is lenient and you will get right back where you started. A little hint if you decide to play: in-game portraits change in every dimension so check them out.

As other reviews have mentioned, the game comes down to timing moreso than brain power (which I'd say Portal does). If you are able to have the patience to do timing type puzzles, it's quite fun. Love the wit of the narrator

The main downside are the DLCs. Both DLCs have levels that are way too long and that rely way too much on luck instead of actual puzzle solving skills.

The story was forgettable, with a narrator that quickly got annoying and served only to annoy me and make me cringe during my playthrough.
I didn't have any trouble with any of the puzzles (aside from occasional physics nonsense), but I just really wanted to stop playing after reaching a certain point. Guess I'll go play some other 3D puzzle game. You know which one.
