Mehrere Jahre sind seit den Ereignissen vergangen, die die einst stolze Stadt Paradise verwüstet haben. Die beiden Einzigen, die die Katastrophe unbeschadet überstanden haben, sind der glücklose Jedermann, der auch als POSTAL Dude bekannt ist und sein treuer Begleiter Champ. Sie fahren ziellos durch die sengende Wüsten Arizonas auf der Suche nach einem neuen Ort, den sie ihr Zuhause nennen können. Nachdem bei einem zufälligen Tankstellenstopp ihr Auto, ihr Wohnwagen und der Rest ihres weltlichen Besitzes gestohlen wurden, hat der Dude scheinbar nur noch seinen Hund und seinen Bademantel und beides riecht nicht besonders gut. Doch am Horizont erblickt das Duo eine unbekannte, schillernde Stadt, die ihnen zuwinkt. Welche ungeahnten Aussichten liegen darin? Ruhm? Reichtum? Vielleicht ein Bidet oder zwei? Edensin erwartet sie.

"POSTAL 4: No Regerts" ist ein satirischer und unverschämt komödiantischer Open-World-Ego-Shooter und die lang erwartete und vor allen echte Fortsetzung von POSTAL 2, das liebevoll als "Schlechtestes Spiel aller Zeiten" bezeichnet wurde. (Ob ein dritter Teil existiert ist leider nicht bekannt.

Freies, weltoffenes Sandbox-Gameplay: Von Montag bis Freitag erledigst du deine täglichen Aufgaben auf nicht-linearer Weise, sei es das Schmuggeln von Migranten über die Grenze, das Ausrichten von Rennen in der örtlichen Sportarena, das Ausprobieren der virtuellen Realität oder einfach nur der Versuch, die nächste Unterschrift für deine altmodische Petition zu finden! Suche auch nach den optionalen Nebenquests für zahlreiche Belohnungen! Oder ignoriere alles und sorge einfach nur nach Lust und Laune für Chaos und Zerstörung!

Pazifist vs. Aggresiv: Genieße die volle Freiheit bei der Wahl deines Spielstils! Neue Munitionstypen und andere Werkzeuge, die friedliche (oder zumindest nicht-tödliche) Konfrontationen unterstützen, aber eben auch Gewalt ist immer eine Option.

Das Spiel ist in der finalen Version in einem schlechtern Zustand als in der Jankie Alpha. Klar gibt es mehr Funktionen und Möglichkeiten, allerdings ist die Performance extrem bescheiden.

Die Aufgaben der einzelnen Tage sind auch mehr als langweilig. Immerhin ist die Gewalt Darstellung recht gut gelungen. Ich habe trotzdem keine Hoffnung das durch Patches noch ein besseres Spiel zu Stande kommt.

Vor allem nicht von Postal 2!
Absolut keine Empfehlung wert!
Zocke das Game schon seit dem es im early access raus gekommen ist....
Leider kein bisschen besser geworden eher im gegenteil....
Habe alle Tage gespielt!
Einige sind wirklich kaum zu ertragen oder unspielbar bzw. einfach lieblos dahin geklatscht!
Kauf euch lieber Postal 2 dann habt ihr mehr Spaß dran ;D

- AI sollte nochmal in die Schule geschickt werden

Krass cooles Game wenn man einfach zuviel hat und den Kopf Frei bekommen will..Seit Postal 2 bin ich einfach der Story des Postal Dude, dem Witz, Phanthasie Reichtum und schlichtheit verfallen die dieses Spiel mit bringt. Die Steuerung war in den vorrigen Titeln oft sehr schlecht, was sich mittlerweile gebessert hat. Bitte macht weiter so Running with Scissors.

Eine gelungene Abwechslung, wenn man mal richtig Dampf ablassen möchte. Man ist frei in seinem tun. Es gibt kaum Vorlagen im Handeln.

Zeitgemäß in Mode und mit einigen Corona- Masken.

Im Vergleich zu POSTAL 2
1. Habe aber das Gefühl das die Frauen weniger sexy/freizügig gekleidet sind.
Wenn Sie auf dem Boden lagen, konnte man in POSTAL 2 unter dem Minirock zwischen sie Beine sehen.
Auch die Brüste waren beim rennen mehr in Bewegung.

2. Die Leiden/Stimme/Text der Befölkerung (nach meinem Empfinden) etwas abgeschwächt.
Sie betteln nicht mehr um ihr Leben.

Trotzdem noch Empfehlenswert!

Also aktuell ist es eigentlich nur eine etwas bessere Demo nach 2 stunden war ich in dem Sinn mit der Story durch.

Bei mir ist es oft abgesturz, erst nach dem ersten Gebietswechsel nicht mehr.

Die Grafik ist echt schlecht sieht eigentlich aus wie Postal 2.

Auch ist viel noch einfach leer kaum was zu endecken wie in Postal 2.

Bis jetzt kann ich es nicht empfehlen, aber es ist definitive auf dem richtigen weg.
Bis jetzt keine Kaufempfehlung da einfach noch zu wenig da ist und es auch massig Bug´s gibt.

Also um es so zu sagen, Ich bin ohne erwartungen an das Spiel gegangen und ich finde es kommt dem Postal 2 sehr sehr nahe. Schwarzer Humor, Absurde Waffen, Katzenschalldämpfer, und Crackpfeifen .
Negativpunkte ,wie Bugs oder ähnliches gibt es klar, dennoch sollte man beachten das es sich hier um eine Alpha handelt und zu dem Zeitpunkt echt gut und Spielbar ist .

Fun like Postal 2, but needs to be optimized. It is in it's alpha phase though, so.

One little gripe I have is the NPC models make this look like one of those crappy simulator games you see polluting steam. My other three main issues are low framerates, long loading screens, and broken animations. I'm sure those will be ironed out with time though, so I'm not mad.

Awesome game, obviously has its quirks for right now and crashes a bit here and there. Cut scenes are jank but hilarious. Kinda weird how they went from postal 2 to 4 but whatever. A must have!!

Fun game, but it's buggy still. It should be able to utilize multiple cores on your CPU to retain a framerate over 60fps. About 45 minutes into the game, it dreadfully falls below 30fps on high settings. Unacceptable for a GTX1660.

I absolutely loved postal 2 and after seeing what postal 3 was like I didn't have high hopes for this game but holy hell did RWS deliver well on this! It has everything that a postal game needs: wacky humour, random glitches, fun weapons etc. I can't wait to see what the finished result is! Good job RWS!

In its current state I cannot recommend Postal 4 over 2- when its finished and gets a polishing passover I think it could be great but something I personally don't think will be fixed is general characterisation. Now this is obviously going to vary wildly between people but I personally don't agree with getting Jon St. John as Mr The Dude from 2- he sounds more like someones dad that is trying to get back out there after a messy divorce than The Dude when it currently doesn't portray a large time difference between 2 and 4 in the intro. While it will probably be largely fixed with more lines, the NPCs currently have some really annoying voicelines. The game also doesnt look the best IMO, it is to me the XII 'remaster' is to the original- P4 didnt have too much of a unique art style but the era and engine has such longstanding vibes that it still holds up. I really hope to see Postal 4 in its 1.0 release be the best Postal yet but I can also see the humour ageing poorly since some of the NPC voicelines already feel a bit dated.

Postal 4, the continue of the legendary Postal 2 adventure, is there for any Postal fan or a new rookie,
the game is still in a development, the updates are being released pretty quickly, and so the price rises by every bigger update, its already nearly double the price when it got released.

Its basically Postal 2 in newer Unreal Engine, hopefully we will see some good updates in the future.

Lots of things you can do.
Big map and a solid variety of unique missions.

▶️Introduction

POSTAL 4: No regrets is the long-awaited true sequel of POSTAL 2 as the third title wasn’t made by the original development team. POSTAL 4 was developed and published by Running with Scissors.
Keep in mind that POSTAL 4 still is in an Alpha stage or in Early Access.

I still got second thoughts...

Keep in mind that POSTAL 4 was released 1 ½ years ago. And the game still isn’t ready and even the areas where this game is completed feel pretty much underdeveloped. I can obviously understand that due to the Pandemic and other factors things probably were slow. Still, the game needs a lot of work and not everyone has a capable PC. The game was obviously a Joy but sometimes it was frustrating, to say the least.

????Gameplay:

As expected this game plays out just like the previous installments. It is an Open World sandbox game with a lot of freedom, to say the least.

Open-World and Missions:
POSTAL 4 really tries to bring that next-gen feeling and I will actually give the devs props here as the game feels a lot bigger with much more detail in each mission/ district. Every mission as of today feels and plays differently from the other which is great to see from an Open-World game. What I really liked is that you can actually complete a mission in multiple ways which proves that this is a pure Sandbox game capable of allowing you to approach each mission in a totally different manner. That is what I consider a serious sandbox game in all honesty. What I appreciated a lot was the fact that they added scooters that truly aid you when it comes to going from A to B. As mentioned the map has multiple districts and outside of the scooters you only get a subway station. Going by foot isn’t the best idea either as this can make the game a walking simulator due to the distance you’re covering. Lastly, you can find various weapons ranging from real guns to pistols with cats as silencers...yes, this is amazing.

Current longevity of the game and the Map being under construction:
Keep in mind that this game is still in Alpha which should be a slight indication that you should be a little cautious about buying this game. The story still hasn’t been completed, you basically finish the game in the middle of the storyline I suppose. Obviously, future updates will be coming but I am just commenting on the current game. Various areas on the map are under construction and cannot be entered, some other buildings despite being on the map have no furniture nor NPCs inside of them. Lastly, the subway station I was talking about has 4 districts as destinations and only 2 of them are available.

Other aspects:

[*]You can switch from First to Third person which always is a solid addition in a game in my humble opinion.

[*]There are some nice side missions in the game that I would recommend doing so just for the giggles.

[*]Perhaps I don't know how to play but I haven't seen my trusty dog champ at all throughout the gameplay and missions.

Be aware, spoilers ahead!

This is your usual Low-life Postal story. You basically decide to take a piss in some deserted WC and leave your camping van unlocked in the streets. After realizing that it got robbed you decide to go to the city and earn yourself some money in order to get your van back. While trying to get your things back you get to meet a lot of “interesting” people in this city. Knowing that this is a Postal game I am sure that it won’t surprise you that sometimes you will have to catch various animals for some hungry Animal Control Service guy hiding in his Truck. You might even think that entering a building with heavy security and with an aggressive gnome being the Boss just to install ass washers in their toilets would be too much, right? Perhaps waking up as a cat after sniffing too much of the secret gas in someone’s basement? Yeah, that is the godly story of POSTAL 4!

[*] Audio / Soundtrack:
Voice acting is pretty mediocre but the saving grace is the Postal’s dude voice actor. Jon St. John is the voice-actor playing the Postal dude obviously he had worked on other characters as well such as Duke Nukem. Background sounds are pretty basic as well but the best moments came with the town radio and their hilarious dialogues. I personally really liked the audio within this game despite it not being the best.

Oh boy, the performance really pains me, man…

In 7 hours I experienced a crazy amount of crashes and some pretty impressive glitches and bugs. I am talking about game-breaking bugs as sometimes I had to restart the game and redo the mission in order to advance. I won’t go that hard simply because the game is still under development but most of you should keep that in mind.

⚖️Conclusion:

POSTAL 4 is in my opinion a very good follow-up to POSTAL 2. It truly is the successor simply because of its ridiculous plot and characters as well as detail in some of these totally weird yet entertaining and bizarre missions. Sadly due to the game being under heavy development, I cannot comment on the full game yet. It should be expected that some assets might be incomplete and the performance is truly terrible but luckily the devs already posted news of a new performance patch. In short, the game is pretty acceptable at the moment but it is barely a pass for me due to the alpha limitations.

I have mixed feelings about Postal 4.
On one hand it's in EA and you can't expect it to be perfect in it's current state.
On the other hand the litany of errors and issues can make gameplay more than occasionally frustrating.

Pros:
-It's all the Postal fun by the team you know and love, while this is only one bullet it covers a lot.
-Progress is moving and the devs are keeping in touch with the community
-Even half finished it's a bloody joy to maim, murder, and cover NPCs in various fluids.

Cons:
-There's a ton of issues like falling through the world map, getting stuck in places with no way out, ect
-Environments feel a little empty and lifeless sometimes. There's no vendors at stalls, a lot of really cool buildings are sitting empty with no furniture or only empty desks and counters and altogether it looks a little too much like Postal 2 with the designs and layouts In the: the environments look like they came out of a 17/18 year old game, way. This is something I anticipate changing as the finer details get addressed in development.
-The game could really due with some optimization. A lot of it, actually.
-The map is pretty big, and you'll be stuck walking/scooting across it because there are only two fast travel locations across the entire thing.

Verdict: Support these devs. The game has a lot of potential to be a true sequel to Postal 2.

It's the true sequel to POSTAL 2 - A game that you didn't think could be made any more tasteless.

POSTAL 4 plays very much in the same way as POSTAL 2, except here you have graphical updates, a new map, new errands, and new and more relevant jokes as America continues it's inexorable decline. Also included are ride-on scooters to help you get around the map. Otherwise this game feels very similar to POSTAL 2 with new places to explore and new stuff to do. You can even interact with every NPC in the game with gestures to provoke responses and make a scene that spirals out of control.

You can only hope it gets better with time, as I feel that there is some content missing and some sound engineering work which could be improved to make the game look and feel even more chaotic. Still, RWS supported POSTAL2 for over 15 years, so you figure that there's plenty more stuff to come. Even as it stands right now it has a more immersive world than Cyberpunk 2077, and cheaper as well. So that's saying something at least.

This game is quickly turning into something that puts a lot of AAA titles to shame as of late.

Sharp graphics, great physics, and just an all around unashamed, fun time. It's already come such a long way from the original janky alpha, and it is a true labor of love being worked on by people who appreciate and enjoy gaming. This is refreshing, as most AAA game dev teams as of late seem to be made up of a bunch of scowling, fading dyed hair Twitter goons who moonlight as less-than-mediocre developers when not cancelling people for breathing wrong.

I've always loved that Postal stood up against the puritans of the past, and now continue to stand up to them today. They were never rude, snarky, or hyper judgmental to anyone, the games and their following spoke for itself. Matter of fact, back when Postal III (barf) came out, I got a physical copy, and the discs were screwed up in manufacturing, making the install impossible. Mike Jaret himself emailed everyone to explain and apologize. He made no excuses and no empty promises. I even wrote him back to appreciate the honesty and he replied to me directly.

RWS is a team of stand up people, and I'm happy to see them still kicking around after all these years.

I have LOVED Postal games till the 3rd... This makes up for the HORRIBLE release of Postal 3. I know it's an alpha, but to go in a crowded area and blast the hell out of people in mask is classic, every update I get more and more into this AMAZING game!!! :D

I wanted to support the devs because postal 2 was so fucking good.
Writing this on Oct 15.

First I want to say this game needs achievements even if it’s just an alpha.
This is very obviously still an alpha. So many empty rooms and un-enterable buildings.
Not a big fan of the new voice actor. I never liked Duke and I miss the old guy.
Alt tabbing the game makes the windows on my computer weird.
Blowing up the cars is cool and satisfying.
Do we really need loading screens in 2020. (kind of a poke at the devs)
Save games are alphabetical and not sorted by time. This is brutal.
- It was cool that you let us save with our own name though.
- No F5 quick save.
Mini map is too zoomed in.

In the prison mission: don’t make us memorize codes. Just give it to us like an item in an inventory.
The lightbulb mission is kind of lame. It wasn’t as bad as I first thought. Standing on boxes is buggy.
Throwing dogs in the dog catcher is buggy. Not sure if it’s because of new footstep update?
On Tuesday I spawned on scooter and clipped through the ground to my death.
- Kept happening on respawns. I had to crouch jump to stop clipping though.
I liked the parking ticket mission. It felt like old postal. Do a monotonous mission or go kill.
Gameplay lasted 3.6 hours.
This is the first game I’ve seen that has social distancing in it.
Playing through the story in this version took me about 3.6 hours[/spoiler]

I'm going to update this review in the future if this game improves, but currently this game just feels like a bunch of boring, lifeless assets slapped together, and I know it's early access but you guys shouldn't be charging $25 dollars in it's current state, and it doesn't feel like you guys are making progress on it, I know you may be adding days and new weapons, but whats the point if the gameplay is clunky and boring? fix the issues this game has and then move onto the missions and weapons.

I absolutely love the power pills, knocking people down with fire hydrant like piss and punting innocent bystanders to the moon with a single kick is hilarious. While this game follows the spirit of Postal 2 loyally, I can't get behind John St. John's voicing of the Postal Dude. His lack of profane language as compared to Rick Hunter is rather disappointing. For the guy that voices Duke Nukem, he sure chose a voice that's more akin to an old timer than a disgruntled middle-aged guy like.. well... Rick Hunter..

It is good game . Postal series are my favourite but sadly i cant recommend ıt now . But if you are impatient and if you want to try ıt, buy it on sales . My issue is that i have tried to play ıt on lowest settings , crappy cartoon quality . But ıt is still laggy as hell and i have only managed to get 10 fps . I have tried so hard to make ıt smooth but sadly everytime i tried my pc gave blue screen error . I could hear my pc singing somewhere over the rainbow song and start to dying .

Postal 4 continues story of Postal 2 and concept of the game is to finish daily tasks.
How are you going to do it is up to you.

Game is in alpha state and for now it has only 2 days.
Optimisation is bad and there is not too much content.

But seeing RWC studio being active with support and updates for their past games it hints me that this game is going to be amazing.

P.S.: The game is still very far from ready since it's on ALPHA early access. But do not forget that it is made by the creators of the original series of games. Therefore if you love past games (except for The One That Should Not Be Named - nobody loves it) and you have some extra money, then you should definitely take it. Not in order to play now (because there is not even much to be played), but in order to help developers as one of the few who still make irreverent games in these generally politically nasty times - which hits hard even humorists.

Cons.: if you are interested in graphics and/or an epic plot, then you should not take this game. It’s not about that.

You look at a wall, your frame rate drops
You look at a car, your frame rate drops.
You look at a viewmodel, your frame rate drops.
You look at the sky, boom. You have aids.
The menu runs smooth at 60fps though so that's cool. Also killing the muddy npcs are fun until your power usage reaches a dark maroon red in task manager. Excited for more updates!

Still early in dev. But still a ton of fun. Feel there needs to be better giblets/gore though. Also you should be able to cough on people since their is a COVID face mask feature now. IF you can pee why not cough?

It's still early access and only has monday as of writing this, however this game shows a lot of promise. It's gore system, to me at least is just as satisfying as postal 2's and the guns feel a lot nicer to shoot in this game. The map is significantly larger than postal 2's and it's going to be bigger, so they added a super buggy mobility scooter I managed to tip it over and when I picked it up it went flying up endlessly with me on top, it was very fun. It's a game you should get only if you want to support running with scissors (you should, they're an amazing dev team) at least in it's current state, its amazing but very short and un finished.

A few complaints I have are that the npc's are not nearly as obnoxious as postal 2's and there weren't any stupid protests or anything to really annoy you (none that I saw at least), there was just less of a reason to go on a murder spree my second complaint is that the jobs don't have nearly enough people to murder save for 1 job. Overall I strongly recommend Postal 4 but not yet as a replacement to postal 2, not until the rest of the week is added. POSTAL 4: No Regerts is on it's way to being better than postal 2.

Civvie 11 is also a really good crack dealer, 10 bucks each is really good.

you can seriously tell the devs care about the fans im amazed how running with scissors has stuck with us over the years. the game is a lot of fun so far and its just in alpha stage so im excited to see how it turns out!

While so far I have very much enjoyed my return to the Postal series, I must say that this 'alpha' is a mess. The content is fine but the optimisation is god awful. The games got terrible framerate issues and stuttering. But hey, maybe its just my GPU drivers giving me a hard time. I'd highly suggest giving it a try and if you're having my issue then just refund it. But if you're not, it's one hell of a time

Feels a lot like an expanded and updated Postal 2 so far. The new weapons and mechanics have been interesting and have the potential to make the gameplay more interesting. I was a little sad to see Jon St. John go, but I fully support the choice of Joe Exotic as his replacement. I'd love to see what kinds of things the Tiger King could bring to the game - he's a natural showman and more than a little outrageous, a perfect fit for the game. RWS has their ear to the f***in game streets on this one. I hope they keep it there.

This game is entirely postal 2 with updates and it is exactly what i think everyone wanted with the third game that sadly never got completed or published. It is janky as all hell at this stage in development with crashes, placeholder textures, very strange AI, and not a whole lot to do, but if you liked postal 2 you will like this game.

I should mention that placeholders are currently a picture of someone's ass hanging out of a car window, which is a serious step up from placeholders in other games.

I have a feeling that the final product of this will be nothing but fun. The graphics are really well done, occasional glitches, but I mean, Running With Scissors is a good team for games and the Postal games are all really fun (we don't talk about 3).

It crashes a ton and is way unfinished, but it is hilarious.

In less than an hour I got jokes referencing:
-Joe Exotic
-The coronavirus
-people in public wearing facemasks
-toilet paper shortage
-Trump quotes

This is just in the first 40 mins or so.
And each time I had a huge grin on my face or laughed out loud

This was only Monday (chapter) and it was amazing! I really want the next chapters now, with this game I have the same feeling that I had with Postal 2, and i love it!!
All the weapons feels good to use, especially the shotgun~
You can find civvie (youtuber) selling you drugs xD, and a lot of references to Doom and others games~
I finish all Postal games in this week and I feel great, this game cure my depression and i want more~
i will wait for the full version now, thanks Running With Scissors ❤️

I don't own a gaming pc, It's pretty basic, so I just purchased this game knowing 100% that it would not run on it. Still, I made the purchase because Running With Scissors deserves the support! They are dedicated and they will not fail on delivering a great game when the final release is complete (Hope I have a better PC by then lol). So give them a chance if you haven't!

The game's still only in alpha but it's fun. Just wish there was more dismemberment cause right now when you hit someones leg with a machete it doesn't cut it off. All I wanna do is cut someones hand off and then slap them to death with it.

Postal 3, was one of the biggest dissapointments in gaming for me personally, i griefed for it for litteral years...
Postal 4 was announced, and I was ready for another dissapointment.
- Researching a little into the game, the history behind the postal 4 quickly revealed the turnaround was near. I bought the game just to back the idea behind it, and i really feel the value for the money allready in this Alpha version of the game, i would of couse love the game to move a lot further, but i its clear that the devs allready are spending a fair amount of sweat to create this game! And I can't wait to see what time reveals.

BEWARE AMD CPU USERS
This game might be cool but....

This game is early alpha it behaves very strange on amd processors you will have permanent 20-30fps max
Its litteraly unplayable on AMD processors at this point wait for patch
After they will fix this issue i will remove my review

It looks like it has a lot of potential, and if it shapes up it could be as fun as Postal 2. That said, it's very under-cooked, and I couldn't recommend it to anybody except hardcore fans. Don't grab this yet, but definitely keep an eye on it. It could turn out rather good.

Game for now in Janky alpha is just Postal 2 with remastered graphics, but it's called JANKY alpha so im just waiting for final version to come in. I buyed this game to support rws. Game is pretty good for now.

It’s truly a blast from the past. No regrets brings back what I loved so much about Postal 2 and it's shaping up to be WAY more. It’s great to see a game that doesn’t take itself overly serious in this day and age and is just meant to be pure, crude fun.

If you’re a fan of Postal 2, then definitely pick this up and give it a try, even in it’s early access state you'll love it and you’ll drooling to get more!
