Pros:
Witty dialogue, good and fun characters, plenty of customization for the table, and of course, the unlockable items for TF2 and Borderlands 2.

Cons:
Good luck trying to enjoy that when the game is constantly screwing you over.

The voice acting, visual style, incredible charm, hilarious writing, attention to detail and general quality of this game is superb and truly makes me miss Telltale and their releases even more as many people cannot experience these pristine titles/series. It's just a shame that no matter what this game can try and do Poker is an incredibly fucking infuriating experience universally that is only lessened in this game because it's virtual coinage. I love this game but still fuck Poker.

106 hours in, I finally got the $1,000,000 achievement & 100% completion of Poker Night 2. This took far longer than I initially expected, but this game is genuinely tough and fun. I hope they start selling it on Steam again!

Poker Night 2 is brilliant. A well crafted, character rich poker game allowing novice poker players to get an idea for what poker is, in a safe, no spending required environment.
As for the poker itself however, my only real issue with the game is that the AI is very bad. Predictable moves and at times very foolhardy plays. I am not a professional poker player nor claim to be little more than a novice myself, I feel some kind of difficulty setting would be optimal for the game to allow for more realistic gameplay. Other than that Poker Night 2 is one of my favourite games, I hope it’s brought back onto the Steam store. 8 out of 8, gr8 ponker m8.

Got to play this game through Library Sharing - If this game and it's prequel were still available for purchase, I would've gladly bought both of them. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Here's hoping that these games will one day be available to purchase and play again.

It's kind of fun to have the characters you're playing against in video poker carrying on conversations. Although, it's probably only good for two or three plays before the start repeating. But maybe that's enough, if the game is cheap enough. Currently it's unavailable, so I suppose that doesn't matter.

Like the first game it has helped with my gambling addiction, it also is one of the only thing that is stopping me from going to a casino and having to sell my daughter, wife, Jeff, and the son my wife and Jeff made Once more i would say to buy this game, but Telltale is still bankrupt and you can't get any of their games. I don't even know why I'm writing this review anymore no one's going to see this either

There are most definitely better poker games on the market but I'll be darned if this isn't one of the most fun. Bringing together Borderlands, Army of Darkness, Portal, Sam & Max, and the Venture Bros. into a high stakes game of Omaha or Texas hold em is a weird but ultimately seamless card game experience.
I would love to see this formula recreated with today's game engines and a much expanded roster so you could play with/against characters from more series. But hey, released almost 8 years ago, I still find myself checking back in for another round.

You can still buy this game on amazon, or G 2 A on amazon its only 5 dollars right now so go there (disclaimer) it says it is for mac pcs but works on a windows steam account)
edit: it will only be on amazon for a short amount of time most likely. Get it quickly

Totally just got this so I could unlock items for TF2. It sucks the game isn't sold through steam anymore. Had to get a game key from a 3rd party. It's been very much worth it though. I went in knowing nothing about poker and I've been learning a whole lot. Haven't gotten all the items left but I've actually had FUN with this even though I thought it would be a slog to get through.

After unlocking everything, I was really glad to see that Poker Night 2 was in alot of ways more refined than it's previous entry. The characters are still as expressive and enjoyable as ever and unlockables in-game feel more rewarding this time when you deploy a table set as special character dialogue can be heard with a change scenery to match a tale set's theme. I kinda wished the unlockables you can get for Team Fortress 2 were a little bit more substantial but that's just my take and it's better than nothing. Again I really wished there was a way to bring it back to the store and any steam keys for the Telltale's Poker Night games are starting to get expensive. Highly recommend anyone who's interested to find a way to experience playing this game yourself.

Nice poker game, play Texas Hold'em or Omaha against 4 characters. I like the themes you can unlock (Borderlands, Venture Brothers, Sam and Max, Evil Dead, and Portal). Claptrap and Steve (Heyoo!) are hilarious, especially when Steve has to remove Claptrap from the tournament. Brock Samson is also great. You can win bounties to get unique skins for Borderlands 2 and Team Fortress 2.

Been playing this on and off for a while now, surprised to see I have 35 hours in it. It's not a particularly complex game, it's exactly what it looks like, a poker game with a few popular video game characters. Surprisingly it's quite enjoyable, the voice acting, animation and AI of the characters makes them feel interesting and alive while you're playing against them, makes any victories or losses feel more interesting and less like.. well, playing poker against a computer basically.

I bought this game to get the Long Fall Loafers in Team Fortress 2, but I was surprised to find that it was a very enjoyable game. A little too hard, though.

Really fun for an afternoon of poker. Even more charming than the first one, with better characters, visuals, dialogue, and even Omaha instead of just Hold em. I couldn't find the option to turn off dialogue like the first one had, but still a good game.

Fairly decent poker game. Nothing fancy. No online play. But, it's fun to play against the included characters as they're all familiar to me. It's getting together with the most mixed bunch of poker buddies I can imagine short of inviting Steve from Minecraft and Hunter S. Thompson as added bonus.

The repeated speech does get a little tired after a while, but it's not nearly as bad as some other games. Nowhere near as repetitive as an arrow to the knee, but when you hear Ash try to sell S-Mart shirts to Brock for the 20 or 30th time, it gets pretty tired.

All in all, it's worth it for $5 or less. If nothing else, it's the closest you'll ever get to playing poker with Bruce Campbell, so that's a win.

A decent poker game that's a bit harder than the original I'd say. You don't need to play the first game, and the characters' quips are fairly amusing and entertaining even if you don't know those characters.
