pro:
-Große Auswahl an Fahrgeschäften
-aktzeptable Wirtschaftssimulation
-sehr fröhliche NPC ( da bekommt man selbst gute Laune)

Playing sandbox mode to build a theme park is wonderful. The tools provided are unmatched for making whatever you want, whenever you want. Build your own buildings. Rides, shops. Etc.
The game comes with the following Caveat:
Single player/career is garbage. Frontier once again proves they do know how to make sandboxes, but cannot understand gameplay worth a damn. The career and challenge is nothing but micromanaging money and staff, which will constantly be angry and always want raises.
And while the tools allow you to build anything you want, some of them are just badly designed. It's next ot impossible to get nice looking paths. WHoever designed the path laying mechanic should never work game design again.
I recommend this game only if you play sandbox and are creatives looking to have a sandbox. But if you're looking for a fun career and challenge game? This game's career/challenge mechanics are so infuriatingly written that it's best to avoid and play something like THeme hospital.

Its asking me if I recommend it.
And honestly? I'm mixed.
I feel I at last I understand fully its mechanics. I've searched exhaustively for google answers to the questions I've sought throughout the game to no avail, so I thought I'd put some stuff here. Unfortunately those answers were disappointing.
But before I get into that, some positives; I don't want to dissuade people outright from buying the game. I obviously had a good time even if I am disappointed with some things, and the base game is worth a try for most.
- You can genuinely control all the elements of structures, nature, paths, park elements, etc etc; if you like creating things, this game is very fun. Once you learn the controls its all very smooth, and you can basically do whatever you want with your world.
-Its fun building coasters and riding them. Riding all the coasters POV was the reason I got the game in the first place, and in that aspect it really outdid itself. Its plenty enjoyable pushing limits of coasters, one way or another.
-The colors, lights, shops, rides, basically all aesthetic is wonderful and enjoyable. The base game has a nice array of objects for your park, and I enjoyed the vintage/classic pack extras.
-It looks great and works great, even though I'm on a GTX960M and on modest settings. It of course isn't so smooth at higher settings, but is still plenty playable.
Basically, the base game is worth buying if the above positives jazz with you.
Now, disappointments.
-While this one is not actually a big deal because you can turn the main menu music off, I place it here for emphasis if Frontier happens to read this crap: THE MAIN MENU SONG. Its overwhelmingly repulsively cringey, plastic, awful Hallmark card fake-hipster pop Garbage; to me, its like nails on a chalkboard, I swear, that song plays on loop in my hypothetical personal hell. The game does use a handful of its chords for its ambient music stuff, but those versions are nice actually.
-More important: I sought to understand the game mechanics and make the Bestest, most profitable park. You want your dream park to make enough money to grow, right? I will try to be consise here. Not even getting into EFN. Everyone knows there are flaws to the mechanics regarding profit and ride usage, I'm not here to talk about the obvious ones. These a few not so obvious ones I wish I knew before getting too into it.
1. Your dream park is nearly always too big to succeed
Naturally you'd want your coasters and rides churning through customers regularly, making good profit with minimal downtime right? The only way to do this is by keeping your park as compact as you can get away with, in a straight line from the entrance. Otherwise, your coasters/rides are kneecapped in throughput and will only be so effective. Its way more effective to pack 4000 customers like sardines, as they can somehow still move through the nearly solid mass of flesh to rides? Basically, if you use too much park area, rides/shops ability to profit suffers, no matter what you do.
2. The single entrance is a lie and so is its placement
Even double or triple entrances can seize up with traffic as npcs are dumb and choose to use the central one.. The only effective park entrance to prevent congestion is a stack of 5+ with max wide paths, extra branches if needed.
3. Mechanics are broken in many ways
EFN's broken, we all know that. But despite my coasters surpassing the games best blueprints in EFN values by far, reaching prestige scores of 1397, maxed out path/ride scenery/triggers, evvverything to max that ticket price, I found that the profit wall you hit has nothing to do with that stuff.
.
I dreamed of making a 5km megacoaster, carrying hundreds of guests at a time and carrying my park to glory on its mighty shoulders. I endeavored to find the most efficient and profitable coaster model available, so it could handle the running costs through outrageous throughput/capacity. But when I thought I had found the holy grail in the high capacity Werewolf, others with high capacity did just as well, around 22-25k profit. But then Aetheon, with its 3 lane car entrance + 30 seats, proved to profit the same when maxxed despite lower running costs of less than 3k. No matter the differences in running cost, the game caps a rides profit because of ride loading mechanics. The walk to an empty ride is counted as part of the wait. The time cars are in the station is counted as part of the wait. And emptying/loading each train consumes a set amount of time. But adding more trains, more km of track? The utilities cost always seem prevent the coaster from being very profitable- even if you can get em to pay 49$ a ride with 15 full trains.
.
What this all means is that while not exactly railroading you in coaster design, the game punishes you if you don't make them a certain way (beyond EFN). It punishes you if the trains don't have many cars, or if there are too many regular rail tracks. Sure, I was trying to min/max and all that, a cap makes sense! but this effect still applies regardless of prestige, duration, cars, etc. I think its because of these things not being so transparent that lot of new players struggle to make a profitable ride/park, including me.
Rundown:
-The game can be fun and addictive, especially if you like creative stuff / sandboxing / riding virtual rides.
-The npc behavior and general mechanics are kind of broken; worse, not appealing to their brokeness means you'll probably have a harder time (or less fun) playing outside of sandbox.
-You should probably try it if on sale, but maybe not the extra content packs.

Overall rating: 4.2/5 ★
Graphics: ★★★★
The graphics in this game are truly stunning. Though no ray tracing, it still looks amazing even more so in higher resolutions.
Gameplay: ★★★★★
Overall the gameplay in this is beyond excellent. If you loved any of the Rollercoaster Tycoon games, you will adore this.
Bugs or glitches: ★★★★
No game is without bugs. While I have yet to see any serious bugs or glitches, a few minor ones did cause some annoyance while playing.
System Resource intensity: ★★★
As mentioned before, You'll need a hefty bit of RAM and decend GPU/CPU to play Planet Coaster. This becomes especially true if playing a larger park with many guests.
Re-playabilty: ★★★★★
This is one game I could play again and again. I'm sure anyone else would too.

spending hours and days building a park with rides that would have guests lining up for hours to ride my roller coaster. Planet Coaster brought that creativity and imagination from Roller Coaster Tycoon, with 2020's graphics,
more freedom to create rides, scenery, and buildings, and upgraded mechanics.
The game comes with multiple game modes such as career, sandbox, and challenge mode. You have the ability to take
on an existing park and bring up the ratings by expansion / better rides, or create your own park with an empty plot of land.
If you'd like to re-create your favourite theme park or make one from your imagination, you have the ability to do
so in Planet Coaster. Along with the detailed object placement of paths and building components, you're able to
combine / rotate / place walls, ceilings, plants, etc. to create a scene of your choice.
The initial themes with the base game are a good start to create a park of your choice, but could be pretty limiting after
a couple of hours of gameplay if you'd like to step into a more unique theme. An example I found myself in was when creating a Go-Karts ride, I wanted the ability to add in some vehicles around the queue to have a racing theme. With the base game themes, no vehicles or cars are available, so I had to stick with a space, western, pirate, or medieval theme. It definitely didn't take away from the fun, but can be limiting in the type of environment you can create. The positive is that DLC and Workshop items are also available, so keep an eye out if you'd like to create a theme that's not provided in the main game.
If you're a fan of Tycoon type games, or would just love to build theme parks, I would highly recommend Planet Coaster.

I was a bit confused when first loading it so I will try to help
The game has 3 modes
Career, Sandbox, Challenge.
Career is like campaign mode in other games, you start with a very mini park and you have to improve it to earn stars, that's it. You look up the objectives and try to meet them. Eventually you get into a grove.
Sandbox is wide open just build a park, no monetary constraints
Challenge is Sandbox but within a budget, you have to earn money in order to build things
I had the most fun with the career challenges. I finished most of them.
Quick tip, open sandbox to design your coaster for each level, then save that blueprint then use it in career. Trying to build the coaster WHILE running the park is hard.

They could have focused more on optimizing their games.
I'm using a Ryzen 9 3900x
A Radeon RX 580 Pulse
And I have 16 gb of ram.
The game hits 60 FPS on medium settings but if there are more than 4000 guests in the park the fps drops down to 20-30FPS unbelievable...
I hope you guys are going to put more effort in optimizing Planet Coaster 2 or just be friendly and patch the game!
And also the game needs more flat rides if possible. There are a lot of rides that I'm missing.
One of my first games that I got from you guys (Frontier) was Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
I spent thousands of hours in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and really enjoyed it as a kid. I love this company from the bottom of my heart but now I have to be honest and tell you I’m disappointed and sad that my girlfriend and I had to spend so much money on new computer parts to make the game run well on medium graphics.

If you just want to plop a bunch of pre-made rides and buildings down and unlock everything, I'd suggest you're not getting the most out of this masterpiece.
The joy comes from placing every single board/tree/rock/wall yourself, flavour everything, take the time to decorate your paths and buildings yourself, spend hours creating a toilet that fits, building a truly beautiful water feature, or of course, if you just want to make an epic c*ck shaped roller coaster, you do you man, I'm not the fun police.

Planet Coaster has a few competitors with its generation, Themepark Studio, which is more for real theme park architects (played it), and Parkitect (haven’t played), which looks more like a classic roller coaster tycoon at least in staying true to the grid system.
This game has a deep community of avid builders that supply the workshop with a bunch of content, which is helpful because many of us may not want to spend the time to create a very detailed things for our park. With the workshop, you can save blueprints and use them in your parks at anytime.
I’ve now put in over 80 hours into this game over the course of about 4 years, I bought it day one but I always find myself coming back to it whenever I get the urge to create a park. I built some cool parks over that time but nothing compared to the true dedicated people that spend hundreds of hours building parks. Honestly it fun just to find those on the workshop and play through them as a guest.
I highly recommend this game as a great game to always keep downloaded, you may not play it every week of every month, but it will have you coming back for more.

Some things to note. This is not a great park management sim. The mechanics are super shallow, and if you go into this expecting a sim you'll be disapointed. It IS however an impressive tool for creative building and modeling. You can create your dream theme park down to the tiniest detail, and that's what this game is all about. It takes 10 minutes to build a good coaster, 2 hours to decorate it and make it look nice. If you're ok with that ratio this game is for you.

You came here to customise your very own theme park, which is a HELLA GREAT part of this game. Unfortunately the awful AI will ruin your park's reputation and stop people from coming because your guests don't realise that they actually need something called 'money' to spend at an amusement park, resulting in them looping between rides, being disappointed every time they can't afford a ride, and bombing your park with mediocre reviews.
Long review:
I've tried this game many times since release and there are SO many things to love:
+graphics, charming and beautiful
+customisation, to such detail that every other Amusement Park game will look like a mobile clicker
+variety of content, in terms of themes
+the way your rides change over time
What's not to love:
-the number of expansions/cost makes them skippable unless you REALLY want that theme, though at this point in the game's life the smaller ones should be free or prices heavily reduced (right now most of them at 50% off and THAT would be a reasonable starting price for most of the DLC)
-Hard for beginners, you'll need to look up some guides to get everything looking and working the way you want it.
-Making indoor track rides can be VERY tricky, especially getting a track to go through a door.
-the GODDAMN AI.
This is where I will rant about the GODDAMN AI:
Every time I start this game I get so into the customisation and design of my park. It's beautiful. My themed areas look great, my rides are sure to attract customers, and I feel like I'm managing something great.
Then along comes the GODDAMN AI. Here's how it works: The customers (known as 'peeps' because of this fantastic AI) appear with some money and some traits which signify how they will act - time they will spend in the park, what they will do, and who they are with. In practice they randomly 'choose' a ride, walk right over there and ride it, then randomly 'choose' another ride halfway across the park. Sounds good so far, right?
But they pay for entry, go on two rides and they're out of money. This is despite entry and ride price being reasonable (nowhere near a day at Disneyland) and the popular rides being at a price that EVERYONE thinks is a bargain. What does the AI do next?
It just keeps fucking going.
Randomly choose another ride, walk over, OH NO I don't have enough money. Lower the park's rating slightly.
Randomly choose another ride, walk over, OH NO I don't have enough money. Lower the park's rating slightly.
Randomly choose another ride, walk over, OH NO I don't have enough money. Lower the park's rating slightly.
Randomly choose another ride, walk over, OH N- you get the idea.
Every time, without fail, my park is running fantastically and I'm finally doing well and everyone's enjoying my rides. Then suddenly the guests stop coming. And then I stop earning money. All because the GODDAMN AI bombs your park with reviews that aren't good (not BAD reviews, just too many average reviews).
It is absolutely insane and ruins a good game. I came here to manage a theme park. I did NOT come here to micro-manage the budget of 20,000+ idiots who don't realise that when they only have $1 and all the rides cost money it's time to visit an ATM or go home.
SO if you're here to simulate VERY SLOWLY siphoning money out of people's pockets to prevent them from realising how broke they are, you'll love the game.
If you want to manage a theme park using realistic business models, go somewhere else. The game will ruin other amusement sims for you by spoiling you for customisation choice and then pull the rug out from under your feet as soon as you feel your park is running smoothly.
Also, regarding the staff: They are just unhappy about everything, it's like they don't want to work. The aim of the game is to keep customers happy and if staff aren't it's most efficient to fire them and hire someone fresh and happy. This could have been balanced much better.
Final note: I will change this review if there is ever a patch to fix the peeps AI (seems unlikely with the new zoo game out now), or even with a mod that improves the situation. I haven't found on yet.

This is a really fun game! I really like how you can explore your own park! Great fun seeing how now Theme Park capacity is reduced due to covid19.
Come ride my rides instead! This will save you a full days worth of time and you will experience 10x as many rides before lunch than you would all day at the park!
My plan is to video as many rides as I can and upload them for you to view online! Enjoy!

I love this one. The game is fantastic. As a kid I got stuck into 'Roller Coaster Tycoon 3'. I first got this game with the Ghostbusters scenario as I'm a massive fan. The first thing I did was go into the scenario knowing nothing of this game besides seeing little gameplay. That's one bad thing about the game. There is no tutorial. Granted, there is tutorial videos but they do not help out to much and the videos just send you to Youtube videos. Personally, I love this game and I could play for hours because of how addictive this game truly is. DLC is far too expensive for the amount you get but those are the only cons to this game. DLC price and lack of tutorial. If you love tycoon games or you loved 'Planet Zoo' another game made by Frontier, then definitely get this addictive game!

Some of my favorite amusement park games when I was younger were ThrillVille and Rollercoaster Theme Park, both on PS2, and I feel like this game is a much more updated, sleek, and in-depth version of those two games mashed together into one game.
The graphics in this game are phenomenal and overall this game is amazing. I play all my games on a Dell Inspirion laptop, and this game surprisingly runs pretty well, even with the higher settings.
Anyways, I would highly recommend watching a few YouTube videos of gameplay of this game first so that you can get the hang of it better once you download it. Overall, I think this game is super fun and you can spend hours on it without getting bored.

However i can't not mention it's glaring faults;
1. They made the totally wrong decision to build on DX11 & not DX12. They've said themselves that's the reason for the poor performance once the park gets a little bigger & with more guests. It's so frustrating to have a game this good but unable to do anything decent with it. No matter what your specs. It's bottle-necked due to DX11 & the way it uses the CPU.
2. The management aspect isn't on the level it should be for a game like this. It needed more depth. Something they corrected mostly with Planet Zoo.
3. Due to the performance limitations (i think), the campaign parks they built all feel underwhelming, sparse & unrealistic.
4. Not as important but the water tech used could've been better (DX11 performance limitation decisions i imagine). It's better then nothing but it's not dynamic or fluid. Doesn't react to anything unless it's baked in. It would've been nice to use the great terrain tools to create realistic waterfalls/flowing rivers etc.
Don't get me wrong, i love this game. But every time i go back to it, i feel a little disappointed & frustrated knowing it could've easily been far better then it is.
I'm not holding my breath but i truly hope they make a second one sometime & correct these issue's. What a game that would be.

1. Path system - It's very hard and painful to build your own coaster. You have to spend more hours getting it right because of too many restrictions and experimentations until you got the right ratios between Excitement, Fear, and Nausea. If not, you will scratch your head and redo it again. Such a waste of time. Coasters don't have to be realistic to get a decent rating that's why I usually use the blueprints and templates to keep going.
2. UI - Do you want to place your designs on the route, or part of the building? Then get ready to spam your keyboard X, Z, Ctr, shift buttons. If you commit mistakes by placing it, then you have no choice but to go back to zero and try again. It's quite hard to control the camera angles and placement of the elements inside a cave, house, or house. You need to go through the whole process of opening your menus, type keywords, and endless selections. Frustration will hit you hard and fast especially if you are into creative things.
3. Graphics Optimization - My machine is a new Alienware version in the market and sometimes, playing this game will make your machine in heat and slow. The bigger park, the lower FPS you will get. Not a friendly game on your laptop/PC and graphic drivers. As long as you keep your guests below 8k, you're good to go.
4. Career Mode - Not worth your time. really! The challenge of creating a coaster with targeting the correct excitement, fear, and nausea are almost felt impossible to achieve, or else, you have to spend A LOT of time hitting the goal. Challenge mode is the best, the rest... Not good.
5. Management - Unrealistic employees' needs, training, and salaries.
6. A bug within guests - guests with have no money will never use an ATM but they can lurk around the park and ride all they can. In fact, they complain A LOT in line, when they are thirsty, hungry.. name it. Your Park ratings will suffer greatly because of these bugs. These unwanted visitors will add up on your graphic processing and lower your FPS.
7. Shop location and queuing time - Guests are unrealistic and keep complaining about nothing. They are lazy going to your shops and souvenirs and so much more.
8. DLCs - quite expensive
The lists are long.....
I prefer - PARKITECT over this game.

So, do I recommend this game? Definitely, especially if you are a roller coaster enthusiast. This is easily in my top 10 games ever, and I'm really excited to see what is in store for this game, and the entire Planet series as a whole. Keep up the good work guys!

It tooks 30 hours to understand what i was doing wrong and right. The gameplay mechanics are punitive for beginners, you absolutely can't build what you want, where you want, when you want. You need patience, you need to be perseverant, you need to wait eons and be hypnotized by the changes on the profit/loss square of the UI. Making a living is an addiction.
I am not sure if i can totally recommend this game to you. Half of the time you have to resign and start a mission again to fix your mistakes. It's a really long and slow learning curve, sometimes you will understand fast that you are wasting resources on a lost cause, sometimes you will understand it after hours.
Still this review is made on my playthrough on career mode and a little of sandbox:
PROS
Zitat:
+ Graphic is nice, colorful, cartoonish, relaxing.
+ Sound library and the soundtrack are amazing, the biggest and most pleasant surprise.
+ Coasters and rides view, you can select the first person mode and enjoy directly what you have build.
+ Incredible map design on the career mode.
+ Steam Workshop is a life saver, i really recommend to download a lot of blueprint, it makes the game a lot easier on the long run but it kills creativity.
+ It's literally infinite, a lot of replayability, sandbox mode gives the opportunity of create anything.

CONS
Zitat:
- There isn't a real tutorial, you just have some hints and videos.
- It's a nightmare for the first hours, maybe if you have experience with the Tycoons the learning curve is high, for me it took 30 hours.
- Some maps are a nightmare, i still don't know how to achieve medium and hard targets on some of the story maps.
