Ein wunderbarer Epidemie Simulaor auch das DLC the cure ist super und lässt ein rätseln ob man selbst nicht kompetenter als so mancher Entscheidungsträger ist.

Macht echt Spaß, kann aber nach ner Zeit langweilig werden.
Man sollte sich vor dem Spielen auch etwas informieren, was genau man machen muss, um die Welt auszulöschen.
Für den herabgesetzen Preis (5,99€) würde ich es aber empfehlen.
14,99€ wären meiner Ansicht nach etwas viel, aber trotzdem ein super Spiel, vorallem wenn man sich für solche Art von Spiele interessiert.

Plague Inc: Evolved - ein Name der wohl seit Corona einen grossen Namen erhielt. Ich habe es bereits Jahre zuvor gespielt und hatte meinen Spass damit. Damals auf dem Handy, heute auf dem PC. Ich finde es auf dem PC besser zum Spielen. Auch hat sich das Spiel seit damals erweitert. Nebst dem, dass sich auch das Angebot von möglichen Szenarien erweitert hat. (Zumindest habe ich das nun so in Erinnerung.) Für jene die die Menschheit vernichten wollen und denen langweilig wird bei einem normalen Parasiten oder Virus, der kann sich auch mit Vampiren oder einen Brettspiel gegen die Menschheit richten. Egal wie man es betrachtet, das Spiel macht (wenn man das verträgt) auch während einer Pandemie Spass. ;)

Dieses Spiel hat ein Ziel: die Menschheit ausrotten.
Dafür stehen dem Spieler diverse Krankheiten wie Viren, Pilze, Bakterien, Parasiten zur Verfügung.
Auch gibt es etwas ungewöhnlichere Krankheiten so kann man als Vampir die Menschheit infizieren, Zombies erschaffen, den Aufstand der Affen planen, einen Biologischen Kampfstoff frei setzen, Micro Maschinen oder einen Gedanken steuernden Wurm.
Die Möglichkeiten sind vielfältig, oft mit realistischem Hintergrund manchmal aber auch eher Science-Fiktion.
Es ist ein Strategie Spiel das mit höheren Schwierigkeitsgraden auch sehr fordernd sein kann vor allem alle auch auf den kleinsten Inseln (und Grönland) zu Infizieren bevor die ihre Grenzen dicht machen - denn wenn auch nur ein paar Menschen überleben sollten verliert man.
Es sollte mehr Spiele geben die als Ziel haben die Menschheit auszurotten denn es macht einfach richtig Spaß.

Der Klassiker schlecht hin! Damals schon sehr erfolgreich auf dem Handy und heute auf dem Pc. Ein wunderbares Spiel. Plague inc. ist seit der Handyversion eins meiner Lieblings Spiele überhaupt.
-Worum geht es in diesem Spiel?-
Ziel des Spieles ist die Menschheit auszurotten. Von Bakterien bis zur Biowaffe ist alles typische dabei. Man hat noch für TWW Fans den netten Zombie Virus, einen Wurm,der die Menschheit manipulieren kann, Affen die schlauer werden können als wir und Vampire! Man sieht selber das die typischen Ängste und Vorstellungen in dem Spiel dabei sind. (Außer die Affen,weil das ist ne Anspielung auf den Film Planet der Affen)
Wir können den Virus unterschiedlich mutieren lassen sei es gesteuert oder nicht. Jeder Erreger Typ hat außerdem noch wie soll es nennen.. extra Mutationen,die man selber mit sogenannten DNS Punkten kaufen muss,die man durch infizierten Menschen,neu infizierten Länder oder durch orange DNS Blasen kriegt. Jeder Erreger hat auch seine Nachteile zb. dass sie schneller mutieren sei es von Anfang an oder durch andere Mutationen,die man aber wieder Rückgänig machen kann je nach Bedarf. bei den besonderen Erregern zb. den Zombie Virus sind die regeln wieder rum anderes etwas auch was besondere Mutationen angeht. Ach ja: passt auch immer schön auf,dass das Heilmittel nicht zu schnell fertig wird ;)

- Klassisch, alle Erreger Arten, 4 Schwierigkeitsstufen, man muss auf der Normalen Stufe immer mit jedem Erreger gewinnen damit man was neues freischaltet zb. neuen Erreger oder Bonis für jeden Erreger.
- offizelle Szenarien, Alle Erreger je nach Szenario, alle 4 Stufen, Szenarien sind dabei,die wir aus unserer Welt kennen zb. H1N1 oder Pocken. Da können wir zb. nicht den Erreger auswählen und er hat andere Krankheitsverläufe
- online Szenarien, von Fans selber erstellt
- Multiplayer, Jeder gegen jeden oder zusammen die Welt ausrotten (geht auch alles mit Freunden)

Fazit: Ein sehr tolles Spiel was uns immer wieder erinnert wie schnell sich ein Virus sich verbreiten kann. Dieses SPiel zeigt ein Szenario was jederzeit in echt passieren könnte

I put all the symptoms for the Wuhan Coronavirus into a normal game and just let it run on the fastest speed and the world died in three years. I don't know what to do with this information so i figured i'd share here. If in three years we're all dead you know this game is hyper realistic and gets a 10/10, if we're all alive in three years than this game is fake and bad.

I recommend watching Tales From TheVarus and TheVarus Strakes Buck videos on the Internet Historian Youtube Channel. It will tell you how humans in the normal difficulty is smarter than the real-life humans when it comes to dealing with the pandemic.

Btw, this game is 11/10 so buy it now.

Very, very, very good game. Its very fun and challenging but still fun (With the exception of Mad Cow Disease on mega brutal) everything is fair. It also got me very intrested in pathology and disease. Not to mention with cure mode, offical scenarios, and custom scenarios there is ALOT to do! Creating scenarios yourself is also very fun.

A very enjoyable game that simulates the progression paths of a plague (virus, bacteria, vampiric outbreak, etc), and a fairly enjoyable scenario game for seeing how it would progress if you were to manipulate and evolve the plague in a way to give it a stronger fighting chance. Fairly realistic.

Great strategic game, the single player mode allows for hours of experimentation with various genes and possible mutations, also worth mentioning is the huge array of disease types each with their own traits stretching from bacteria to a zombie apocalypse.
The game also has a multiplayer aspect which includes two new gamemodes. The custom scenarios only add even more potential to an already extensive gameplay.
All in all, totally worth it if it is a strategy/simulation game you are looking for

Summary - a plague simulation that will make you hate Greenland forever.

Plague Inc is a strategy game where you play as a pathogen. As you spread, you evolve new traits and abilities, and your goal is to eradicate humanity. The challenge is that disease must be contagious enough to spread, deadly enough to kill but not enough to stop the spread, and mild enough to escape the notice of medical research - once the virus is identified, it's a race against time to beat the cure.

Gameplay is fairly passive - you click on DNA and cure pop-ups to help speed things along, but mostly you control the game by choosing your adaptations. Part of the game is just waiting for enough DNA points to get the mutation you want. There are actions you can take in some of the game modes, however - but mostly, you are just planning and responding to challenges through evolution.

The first pathogen you can use is a virus - however, as you play, you unlock additional types of infection, such as bacteria or prions. The game even has a zombie outbreak mode.

It's a neat little game - but one frustrating aspect is the map. A few countries, most notably Greenland, are hard to reach. Once the disease becomes a serious threat, Greenland closes its borders - there will be so many times when you eradicate every single country except Greenland.

Also unrealistic, apparently, is that idea that when a vaccine for a disease is created, people will actually take it, and not purposefully do things to spread the virus so it mutates even more. Last decade was so naive..

Ah, Plague Inc. The Nostradamus of video games. The pandemic simulator we got to play on our screens, before we got to experience the real deal in our daily lives. No, I'm not one of those hypersensitive wackos that consider this game inappropriate in the current clime. No matter how entertaining it makes it to wipe out humanity as a deadly virus. Indeed that's the goal in this game. You are a virus, bacteria, fungus and so on. You have finally infected your first of those pesky humans that think they own the world. You want them all dead. And boy, does it make it entertaining to kill us all, again and again... and again.

Each run is short. Maybe 10-15 minutes. You get to evolve your pathogen by acquiring DNA points from infections and investing them in mutations. Mutations can provide you with transmission boosts to infect more people and reach safe havens like Greenland, deadly new symptoms and abilities that will allow you to counter the efforts humans make to create a vaccine. Yes, the moment humanity realizes you are a threat they start making a vaccine and let me tell you, do not underestimate the vaccines in this game. If humanity manages to create one you are toast. Everyone will get vaccinated in days. I'm guessing facebook hasn't been invented in this game's world yet.

To keep things fresh the game offers numerous types of pathogens, some really quite special. Bioweapons, a nanovirus, mind controlling brain worms. All the way to even more exotic ones, such as the zombie virus that can turn its carriers into ravenous beasts. Or a vampire plague that allows you to play as a vampire set on turning and feeding on humanity. There is also numerous scenarios that add a twist to the game to keep things fresh, for instance a world were humans have invented artificial organs, or the return of the Black death, to radically different approaches like a fake news simulator. All in all, there is enough variety to keep you going for a while.

In short, yes I recommend this game. It's really quite fun. Sure, it's about killing all humans, but let's be honest here, who hasn't thought of doing that at least once in their lives? And in those fantasies, don't they totally deserve it? This game is for those moments and as an added bonus, it can teach some basic biology too. Now if only it could convince more people to get their vaccines, it would be mandatory school training by now. I mean it is trying, but it's just a game, not electroshock therapy.

I love how you have to have a strat in order to win, and the many Combos, Plague types (Virus, Bacteria, ect.), and the cure mode is a whole other thing that adds even more depth to the games core game-play.

This game is great, and it's great playing it in multiplayer mode with my girlfriend. I heavily recommend it. It's funny, silly, engaging, and it's pure strategy. Its model of mutation may not be realistic, but its model of transmission sure is, and the game's creator has been called in to speak at the CDC about how it functions as a rudimentary educational tool. The gameplay is fun on its own, but it's so interesting to conceptualize what you're doing to the world; give it a play!

First I thought: Why buy this game? It's free on my smart phone. But this version with all add-ons and expansions really is something different.
I especially love the vampire and planet-of-the-apes version witch give the game a whole new spin.

An extremely fun casual game to pass time. All you need is to select your plague, spend DNA, infect human, kill them all to win in a very presentable and extremely simple HUD and menu. As you progress, you'll unlock more traits and extra plagues and an even harder modes -- more often than not you'll be annoyed with its RNG.

And not all plagues are the same. While two or three may have similar traits and conditions to win, the rest do not. Simian Flu, for example, requires you to micromanage your colonies and plague more, while my favorite Shadow Plague features Vampire to fly around the globe to fight templar and spread diseases at the same time. Honestly I think the default set of plagues are pretty creative and funny, not so funny if you're defeated repeatedly though.

If you're done with the the main game, there's Official Scenarios to beat and more can be downloaded from the workshop. You might also want to try co-op with either friends or through Steam's matchmaking service to play with other random people.

Don't forget they recently released a brand new mode as free DLC during pandemic, grab it while you can... and probably you can for a long time since the pandemic is here to stay for a long time.

Overall, this is a very well maintained and developed game I can recommend to everyone. 8.5/10

If you liked this game back in 2000, you'll love it now. Plague Inc. is a simulation game which you try to devise a plan to exterminate human race via microscopic organisms such as virus or bacteria. Every type of microorganism has their pros and cons be it slower infection or being more lethal than others. If you want to spend some of your time but not delve into a game's story or overwhelming mechanics, this game is for such times. I used to play this back in elementary school. Still get the same feelings after all those years. The details they've put into this is also amazing. Would always recommend. 10/10. Would love to see even more details like even more news popping up every now and then with current politics and sports.

This game was a must have long before it started happening in real life. Even in it's infancy it was a revolutionary project with immense entertainment value, which only grew and flourished as time went on. It has a simple and addictive gameplay, which still demands planning and thinking, an immersive design, and achievement hunters are going to have a good and hard time collecting everything.

Sometimes after a long day, all I want to do is sit down with a relaxing bio-weapon level.

Seriously though, this game is challenging even on normal difficulty which really tests me to think on my toes for the harder plagues. Virus and Nano-Virus are especially challenging from my experience with the mobile version, things get out of hand insanely fast. I love games that make me think.

Can't wait for Cure mode to be released.

This is an odd one.

It may seem ironic to recommend a game about wiping out humanity with deadly diseases in the middle of a pandemic, but beneath the surface and the stress-inducing concept, lies a simple game, a simple premise that is not overly complicated nor does it go out of its way to simulate pandemics.

At its core, it's a clicker game with a steep learning curve and randomness thrown in the mix. It's a race against time; a strenuous exercise in patience. The premise of the game, your purpose, is to create a disease that wipes out humanity. Pick a spot in the world, each with their own climates, population, economic strength, optimal means of transmission, etc, and start from there. The world will try to stop you so you must beat it to the punch. That is basically what the game revolves around.

The real appeal of the game, however, is in the progression system. A variety of unlocks that can make each game feel different, easier or even harder. Different pathogen types will impact how you approach your game as both unlocks and pathogen type will have their strengths and weaknesses which add to the tactical depth but also making the game highly replayable and improving the overall experience.

Yes, it can be stressful as you are always up against the time. At higher difficulties you will really feel the tension. You planned meticulously, making the right choices, picking the right upgrades, or so you thought. Then you lose, those pesky humans finding a way to stop you, and more often that not, you end up being the master of your own demise, your choices having backfired yet it's too late to react. Losing is a rather essential part of the game; it's part of the progression.

You may go in with the expectation that you'll create your disease the way you want to, but you find yourself often focusing on survival. It is perfectly possible to 'simulate' the virtual Spanish flu, but your goal is to win. Unforeseen circumstances will have you changing tactics as you go, so you may find it difficult to play the role you wanted, per se. While it can be slightly frustrating, it does add to the realism factor. A double edged knife.

There is multiplayer and co-op modes. I haven't played PvP yet, but I am assuming it is not that much different to co-op, which is rather simplistic, with limited unlocks and no scenarios but it is an enjoyable, on-the-side experience. Destroy the world along with a friend, work together or sabotage each other.

Speaking of scenarios, there's a lot of fun and unique ones. Plenty more in the workshop. It's not all about wiping out the world either. Instead of a literal disease, you can play a scenario in which you spread figurative ones, such as weebism, where the world is transformed into anime-obsessed, manga-consuming, waifu-adoring, brainless weebs.

I shudder at the thought.

At any rate, it is also worth recommending this game at the present time due to an upcoming update which will bring a feature I'd always hoped existed. The one missing thing: Saving the world from the clutches of a pandemic, allowing you save the world not just destroy it. A fitting addition that perfectly reflects the current situation of the world.

Give it a shot.

First of all, i want to thank COVID-19 for reminding me of such a game (at least something good). I played this game before a bit but not too much, and now i finally can put this game in the list of games that i passed.

Very entertaining strategy, complex mechanism of interaction of parameters. It is replicable and fascinating. Good variability. The most important thing for the Dark Lord is to conquer and destroy mankind with biological weapons.

The main campaign was awesome, The last two levels seemed very complicated because they were not similar to all previous levels, but after several attempts the tactics became clear and it was not so difficult to pass the levels.
The official scenarios were also quite interesting, but some of them hardly made any changes in the tactics of the game, sometimes I even forgot which script I was going through since the difference was not visible, but overall everything was fine.

I am a long time fan of this game. I first started playing when Plague inc. mobile first came out, but just recently moved to Plague inc. evolved which is definitely superior to the original mobile version. This game is amazing and there are no game breaking bugs as in mobile version. However, for anyone reading this review, if you like this concept or you are already a fan of plague inc. I must recommend you the Plague inc. the board game which is in my opinion better then any digital plague inc. game.

Plague Inc. has eradicated sales through out steam 10/10 this game for me is sweet especially if you want to keep running different experiment runs or speed run your fave plague and the fan community has loads of custom scenarios to fun yourself with or why not...go FUN yourself using the scenario creator
