In Overpass steuern die Spieler mächtige Buggies und Quads über extreme Strecken und gefährliches Terrain. Diese Simulation ist in ihrem Genre einzigartig und stellt das Können der Gamer auf zerklüfteten Hängen, verschiedenen technischen Hindernisstrecken und in der Wildnis auf die Probe. Zudem setzt Overpass™ eine realistische Physik-Engine ein und fordert präzise Kontrolle von Tempo und Beschleunigung, denn sonst droht Traktionsverlust.

Wer das Spiel meistern will, muss die technischen Eigenschaften offiziell lizenzierter Buggies und Quads bekannter Marken wie Yamaha, Suzuki oder Arctic Cat beherrschen. Mit Differenzialsperre, Zwei- und Vierrad-Antrieb und Getriebeart verfügen die Spieler über alle nötigen Werkzeuge, um die Fähigkeiten und Grenzen ihrer Fahrzeuge kennenzulernen und jedem Terrain zu begegnen.

Im Karrieremodus werden Buggies und Quads verwaltet und die am besten für eine Art von Terrain geeigneten ausgewählt, um gegen Konkurrenten bestehen und Sponsoren anziehen zu können. Der Multiplayer-Modus setzt voraus, dass die Spieler jedes noch so kleine Detail der Strecken kennen und beherrschen, um Bestzeiten abzuliefern und zu zeigen, wer der Meister der Offroad-Fahrer ist!

Ein Spiel für Allein Unterhalter. Steuerung geht nicht mit Tastatur. Ist sehr schwierig zu lenken, um erst mal ins Ziel zu kommen. Einfach nur schlecht das Spiel. Update, Tastatur geht doch zum Einstellen.

eines der Seltenen Spiele die mich Enteuscht haben ich hoffe sehr das noch Updates kommen aber glaub kaum das ihr noch was kommt da mann das Geld über Epic Exl schon wieder drin hat und mann keine weiteren osten machen will sehr schade die Idee und die autos sind top aber mehr auch nicht

Das Spiel sieht soo Gut aus, auch wenn man es spielt.. Aber und jetzt kommts:

Die Steuereung ist so schwammig, und gerade dann wenn man dringend Kontrolle übers Fahrzeug braucht.
Fährt man über freie Bahnen ist sie wiederum zu zackig.
Diese Fahrzeuge haben OffRoad oder MudRace Reifen und bleben oft an einfachen Stellen stecken.
Die Fahr Physik ist völlig daneben, und versteht mich nicht falsch, es soll nicht um maximalen Realismusgehen gehen,
aber um so mehr um Fahr Spaß und der bleibt schon im Tutorial auf der Srecke liegen.

Ich hab mir extra Videos dazu angeschaut weil es keine Demo dazu gibt...
Hach Demos zocken, und dann zu wissen auf was ma sich in der Vollversion freut - das waren noch Zeiten!
Sorry wenn ich könnte würde ich mir Geld und Zeit zurückzahlen lassen.
Vielleicht teste ich es nochmal wenn mal n paar Patches zu diesem Game kommen... so long

Dieses Spiel ist zwar gut aber es lässt sich nicht gut spielen da die Steuerung von der Xbox one Controller zuschnell reagiert. und man kann die Schwierigkeitsgrade nicht einstellen die eigentlich auf leicht oder sehr leicht oder easy bis hin zum höchsten und schwersten Einstellung da diese Funktion nur Amateur bis hin zum schwersten einstellbar ist. Die leicht, easy bis zum schwersten Stufe ist nicht vorhanden ich wünsche man kann alles so einstellen das es für Anfänger so leicht ist so das man Zeit hat sich mit der Steuerungssystem zu trainieren und an zupassen. deswegen bekommt dieses spiel von mir ein Daumen nach unten

Eines der schönsten Spiele, die ich seit langem gesehen habe! Die Landschaften sind sehr authentisch mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Es macht wirklich Spaß sich darin durch zu arbeiten! Manchmal ist man etwas gefrustet, da man nicht weiterkommt oder hängen bleibt. Hier würde ich mir eine besser funktionierende differentialsperre oder mehr Grip bei langsamen sanften fahren wünschen... Der absolute Hit wäre, wenn der Hersteller noch ein oder (mehrere) trial Motorrad/er zum Kauf anbieten würde (z.b. montesa 4rt oder Gas Gas txt 280 pro), dann würde das Spiel zu meinem absoluten Favorit werden! Weiter so liebe Entwickler da steckt noch viel Potenzial drin!!

this game combines spintires with a race against the clock.

Great graphics
great maps
good selection of vehicles
good gameplay

could stand to have graphics settings- there's no brightness, gamma, etc. nothing.
some sections seem to be too hard- or maybe I haven't got the right vehicle/upgrades yet.

I wish the game gave you some way to preview your tracks. Once you pick a vehicle, your locked in to that ride until you finish the series - which could be anywhere from 1 to 3 races.

I also wish you could switch vehicles mid-series.

I would like to see throttle sensitivity settings. Fine throttle control is very important in this game, and you'll often find yourself trying to feather the trigger to get more traction, and it's kinda tough.

hi this is the Top player on Overpass and yes i actually am i owned the leader board and won every weekly challenge im the the only one in world that has every weekly challenge recorded on my utube page Shinos mod spot do not listen to others u only need to listen to me trust me this game has some of the best throttle control physics out there and still and i will not respond back on that it does have the best iv seen so far u actually have to go slower to go faster most just rly rly suck and i am very sry to say this but this is true i see it try to actually get the hang of using mutiple throttle control lvls try to get the hang of the game u will get good i know its hard but its one of best offroaders iv seen still mix snowrunner with Overpass as in the big open maps but Overpasses physics and maybe even custom track lay out with check points u could place any where on map and make your own runs besides ingame ones theres soooo much that could be done this game RULES o and remember i have 28 years of gaming experince i know when i experince something better in a game like this......

I waited ages for this game as it looked really interesting. I finally picked it up for less than £1.00. To be honest I feel cheated. it is rubbish. The vehicles handle terribly, the tracks have impossible turns and manoeuvres to perform. In addition you are timed which doesn't seem to work in a so-called game of skill. Any chance of enjoyment in this game seems to have been completely disregarded. It is a nightmare. I play other driving games regularly and I have to say that this by far the worst. It seems that there is good game in here trying to get out but as it stands it looks like it will be a long confinement. i don't know if the developers are still working on this or not but something needs to be changed to make it playable. I realise many people may like this game but I can't recommend it as it is just totally frustrating.

Very disappointing. This game would have been way better off not being a 'racing' game. Every stage is a time trial you are to complete as fast as possible, yet the terrain you have to navigate should not be done quickly in most circumstances and to do so more often than not results in severe damage. It's also very difficult to determine the boundaries of the 'track' when you're trying to fly through it. I wish the devs had devised some other way to gauge progress and accomplishment other than forcing you to 'race'.

In closing, I'll say I enjoyed the tutorial and the sandbox mode, but that's hardly enough to make the game worthwhile. If you enjoy time trials through vaguely defined courses while trashing every vehicle you own and spending the bulk of your winnings on repairs, this game is for you. Otherwise I cannot recommend it.

This game is FUN. The graphics are awesome, the engine/sound effects are very satisfying, and there is around 40 hours of engaging gameplay in conquering everything it has to offer. The career mode is a little on the thin side, but there is a good variety of tracks and the finals offer a number of fresh obstacles to take on.

The physics are excellent. They are not broken like some claim. There is just a bit of a catch 22 in the career mode: you need upgrades in order to even finish some of the tracks offered, but you cannot get the upgrades without making a decent time and coming in third. I was able to work around this by tackling what tracks I was able to, unlocking upgrades along the way, and retiring from events that I simply could not do. In this fashion I was able to eventually get some better vehicles and upgrades and make great times on all the tracks.

So if you are willing to commit to the game and be patient, there is a lot of fun to be had here.

Yah Id say its too frustrating. I thought it was a rock climbing and obsticle course game that you could take you time on and enjoy, but its not, it is freaking TIMED. The timer destroys any fun it would be to drive around and climb up things and find paths. It completely ruins the whole point of this game. Plus the penalty system sucks, you'll get a penalty for being just slightly off the exact path it wants you to take. Tracktion is horrible, even if you go slow you still spin out, go backwards or slide in random directions. I found myself taking 45 second penatlys just to skip the darn obsticles. Not worth it.

Physics are not real. This is an arcade crawler, with the guise of simulation offroading, mudtires is exaggerated offroading, but this is the complete opposite.

Buy this game if you want to get stuck for no reason, none at all. You can go up a rock wall once, then roll down it, and its near impossible to go back up the same way.

Stupid me didn't read the Steam reviews, I just went off the strength of A Tuber I thought had good taste. This game is frustrating for the sake of being frustrating. for example, you can get stuck in boggy mud, but you can't tell its boggy until your in it. The engine sound hurt your ears after a while because you're made to rev the crap out of the engine and its pitch is irritating after five minutes of non stop revving. This was a huge waste of £14 on a key - which falls outside Steam refund policy :(

how can i get my money back for this game it really bad. u cant even feel the weight of the machine with the wheel so u cant control it,and the sound is very poor! Could be a cool game if they actually put the time into making the right updates to the mechanics of the machine and sound could also use a free ride session.

They somehow made the vehicles feel completely weightless and topheavy at the same time. You will glide and slip over every terrain, tires spin basically no matter how lightly you press the throttle, if your buggy tilts more than 40 degrees I guess the wind catches it and it blows over. I could only sit on a bare rock face at half throttle, spinning tires and slinging mud (???) so many times

Glad I got this basically free in a bundle, $30 full price is highway robbery

i waited for so long for this to come to steam being an EPIC games exclusive only to be disappointed

✔ Some maps are very fun to do, challenging in a good way

Weak :
❌Worst sound design I've seen in a driving game in a really long time. it's absolutely terrible. engine sounds are so bad and monotonous, there is no volume balance in the sound, environment sounds are too basic and you won't care about them at all
❌Graphics and physics are pretty average. car models are average. Quad bike physics are very unrealistic actually.
❌Camera angles are just bad.
❌Horrible controls and response. It's so bad that putting on and driving in reverse makes the vehicles jump forward for no reason all the time before they start reversing, while on the other hand you can safely climb most obstacles in reverse better than normally like wtf
❌Poor list of vehicles and meaningless driver cosmetics.
❌Criminally overpriced. 30 bucks for this?

No thanks EPIC you can keep your sh*tty exclusive. This game is terribly overpriced for what it can offer.
This has the quality of a BETA and if it was to be out right now it should be a 20 buck early access at best.

do not buy.
get Mudrunner instead. it's far better than anything this game right here has to offer.

I got it in a bundle for $1. For me, it's worth about that. Visually not bad. Overall better than Off-Road Drive... but it's still pretty boring to me as a racing/driving fan. The vehicle sounds are awful and/or super annoying too. I'd rather do rock crawl the occasional challenge in BeamNG.

I'm disappointed to see this game receive so little attention, and of that attention a good amount of it seems to be fairly negative. This game is awesome, if you're looking for quite a specific experience.

Does the thought of driving relatively slowly and carefully, picking your route over / around rocks, logs and various kinds of obstacles sound fun? Then you'll love this game. There are some faster tracks and obstacle courses available but even on those there are moments where you'll need to slow down in order to navigate a technical section or obstacle. There are also hill climb maps, where you'll need to find the best route up a steep slippery slope.

It's quite difficult and you'll often get stuck or roll your vehicle, but if you're into this sort of game then that's just part of the fun!

Played about 7 hours. Physics are so annoying. At first you get the feeling it is like a real simulator game but when you get into it it's actually annoying sometimes. When you are about to flip to the one side usually if counter steer it you fight the flipping but this game doesn't recognise this at all and therefore you roll almost every time. In most areas it is surprisingly good though. Overall I don't like it. Feels like the game should be in a beta version still. It's not a finished product in my opinion :)

well

I play tons of off raod and rally games and i have to say this is notting like most of them.
It sure needs som work asap. throtle and brake as well as steering is like on off buttons the overal feel is spastic and vehicle roll to fast and even griplevels are almost afk.

overpass is more in the leageu of dakar and off road racing and deffintly not like uaz 4x4 , hummer 4x4 or even spintires etc wich do a much betther job in a life like off road trailing.

so would recomend it not to buy it right now as it needs fixing to smoothen the gaeplay as well as framerates.
the game has a great potential of being a good propher game and I do hope they will get to achieve it

for now ill have my money back

Truly an amazing game. As far as racing games go Overpass has very unique game play and it's not just about going fast. You must try and find the best path to take and try to accomplish it in a timely manner. All the while trying not to destroy your vehicle. When you damage your vehicle, you are going to need to repair it and it does keep getting harder to drive the more damage your vehicle takes. Anyway my verdict on the game is It's a work of art.

the game is shit. you cant drive anything as in the videos. the vehicles are so undrivable you can barely complete a level or course. you spend most of your time spinning in place or flipping over. the suspension doesnt do what its supposed to. these offroad vehicles get around way better in real life than in this game where everything has just been nerfed down to nothing. what a pity, i was so excited for this.

Overpass is not a casual game and it requires patients, even the tutorial is a real challenge to get through. It was released over a year ago on Epic Store and I bought it there. Now it is finally on Steam and I hope it will find a nice little community, cause this game is a true diamond in the rough.

Graphic wise it looks good and most of the environment even looks really nice on higher settings. The PC version is miles ahead of the console versions. When played at decent frame rate and higher settings it look like the consoles got a version from 2008 or something.

The career mode is quite fun and is the main attraction, but it feels very basic in its presentation. The same with the Quick drive and Weekly challenges, but when you racing it does not really matter that much cause it is tons of fun.

This is not pedal to the metal and max speed all the time, Overpass requires finesse, strategy and training to finish a track at decent times. It is not very forgiving and you will get stuck, fall over and curse the environment. But it is so very rewarding when you succeed and start to improve your times. And if you continue and not give up, there is almost endless with fun to be had with Overpass.

Sadly it have been reviewed and scored low in most tests, which is a bit unfair in many cases. Of course the enjoyment and how you feel about game can not be wrong, everyone has different taste. But complains about the physics and how the cars handles have been common, but if you look at actually races with the cars in the game you will see that it very much look like how the cars/ATV behave in the game. It is very light vehicles with serious power under the hood, of course the flip over quite easy. Actually the cars are more like motor bikes in many ways!

Please, give the game a chance if you think it looks fun! You can always refund if you hate it. Just make sure you give it at least 1 1/2 hour before you give up on it!! :D

The good, game looks great, has somewhat diverse range of vehicles and customizations is there though a little lacking. Works great on Linux, mainly the reason I bought this.

The Bad, about 5 min into this game you can tell the developer has spent no time in offroad vehicles, and if they did they learned nothing. 20 years I have been offroading and building rigs, I have news for the developers of this, you can infact turn a vehicle very tight in 4wd with lockers on, if your on pavement no, but on dirt theres almost no diffrence, No one rolls a vehicle as much as you make it seem in this thing, when you hook a tire over a rock uphill, thats called a traction boost, not sit there and spin out.

Do I reccomend this? Not unless its over half off.
