Lustig und total dämlich zugleich :) wenn man es nicht zu ernst nimmt und es unbedingt mit und gegen Freunde spielt, dann kann es ganz unterhaltsam sein.

Review zu ORION: Prelude

ORION: Prelude kauft man sich wohl ausschließlich, wenn man noch etwas Steamguthaben übrig hat und nicht weiß, wohin damit.
Und tatsächlich muss man dem Spiel zugutehalten, dass es für einen solchen Zweck durchaus schlechtere Alternativen gibt. Wenn auch ORION: Prelude selbst, kaum interessant ist. Es erinnert eher an bessere Spiele, wie Halo, oder Natural Selection 2. Das Waffendesign ist offensichtlich von Halo abgekupfert und das Spielprinzip erinnert auch stark an Natural Selection 2, wenn auch letzteres das Spielprinzip besser umgesetzt hat und dabei sich auch noch besser spielt und besser ausschaut.
Letztendlich kann ich ORION: Prelude als Spiel, in welches Genre es sich selbst auch sehen mag, aufgrund von besseren Alternativen nicht empfehlen.

Kommen wir für die Schnellen unter uns einfach mal zur Pro-Contra-Liste:

+ Sprecher war ganz amüsant
+ Musik ist recht bombastisch

Contra:

- Langweiliges Gameplay
- Sound könnte besser sein

it's $0.99 bro. just buy it. even just for the one night in a blue moon that all your homies are online and y'all just wanna stay up until 3 am playing this random-ass, good-ass game.

-one of the most efficient game i've bought in terms of price:hours ratio.
1.) Terraria -- $0.009/hour (it's $5 lol)
2.) Orion Prelude -- $0.045/hour
3. Rocket League -- $0.049/hour

Honestly, this game is pretty damn bad in most aspects, like vehicle control and certain bugs. But it is genuinly fun to play with friends. It actually spread among us so far that we could soon fill up an entire pvp lobby just by ourselfes
Plus the announcer is an absolute legend.

Between the unfinished state, the bugs and doubious name changes with rereleasing the quasi same title before finishing what they have started, I cannot recomment this game.
It is also very grindy but you can have some fun with it.

This in an asset flip. No way around it. It's not great, but if you have friends and a couple steam cards laying around this could make for a good session with friends or drugs, preferably both.

Halo 1 with dinosaurs instead of aliens and online capabilities. I am not sure why I post a review for a game I played 6 years ago for merely 8.6 hours long even though I have positive memories; the dino's range, the machines, and open environment.. I've no idea in what state the game is currently and I don't intent to return ..ever but here is a positive thumps up for keeping me enthralled and being able to reflect those moments today.

Full controller support is a lie. I spin endlessly in a circle with an xbox one controller connected even with mousepad and keyboard disabled. Shit game, not worth a dollar.

Honestly this game is rly good. I am actually shook it is only 1$ it could easily cost a little more than that like 5 or 10$. It has a lot of potential. The guns are great and vehicles too. My friend and I played it for the first time and spent over 3 hours because time passed by so fast. Overall this is a good shooting game and sad some game that are more sucks or not as funcational. I would play this game again

Sure it's not AMAZING but it's a decently fun game where you shoot dinosaurs and shit.

It never claimed to be anything groundbreaking, so I'm not sure why this got so much hate over it's development.

The game is not polished, that's the least you can say, but man it's fun. Playing with friends we had a really good experience, a clunky one for sure but I mean, for 0.79€ it's totally worth it. I recommend it.

This game is dog crap and nobody plays it. It's still pretty funny to laugh at with friends, though! Feel free to pick it up for a single dollar if you want to laugh at the game. Just be sure to select the Santa's Lair or Hell maps for harder laughs, because those maps have these HIDEOUS looking enemies.

It's not the most advanced, or complex game. But me, and my friends had boatloads of fun playing it. Spraying shrapnel up, and down all of the dino-orfaces left and right all night!

Highly recommend for the price, it's totally worth the money!

I bought this game in 2014 for the 50 cents I farmed by selling tf2 crates and trading cards. Played it for 30 minutes and then never launched it again. 10/10 would recommend.

Should be renamed Orion: Genesis, the true first manuscript of the Torah. A gripping plot that unfolds at breakneck speed; had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Beautifully layered characters and great subplots to add to the effect. Not gonna spoil anything, but the twist at the end blew me away. An aurora of tantalizing innuendos, it gripped my body like the same aphrodisiacs Roman men would take before their enthralling orgies.

This game is basically free, even if it's not really free, it is DEFINITELY worth 1 buck. Very satisfying, very fun, a bit laggy, recommended if you have friends to play this with although it is also fun to solo (not really, solo as you can have mostly useless bots in your team)

I paid around $20 for this back in 2013, and it was an entirely different game. Over the years, they have done major updates that have entirely changed the game (for the worse), and it's a husk of what it originally was. I don't know why the devs thought it would be a good idea to change the game entirely, but it really ruined it for OG players.

The game may be dead, but you can still play some of the game modes with bots. This is a base defense game where you fight off dinosaurs. It is also combined arms, which is nice. It is usually priced at 99 cents with sales making it even lower.

If you are a fan of Turok, you are going to love this!

Graphically pleasing to look at, taking what was cutting edge renderings of 2010 GFX benchmarks and throwing you right into the action!

Sound Engine is pretty good, while this does not standout in any fashion, you will find your self immersed.

Soundtrack is mundane and fails to grab any positive attention.

For only $1.00 you can have loads of fun with this classic cat & mouse style shooter!

IMO this is the best $1 game on Steam. To any sane person it is over the top but this game executes it in a charming manner while still maintaining a strong element of fun. The game has an early 2000s futuristic theme to it while making different types of weapons, vehicles, and upgrades available to combat dinos of all types and sizes in a shoot 'em up style, which I think for a $1 game already provides a lot to have fun and play around with for many hours. The game has pleasant but not cutting-edge graphics with really nice bloom effects particularly with the light effects. In addition to everything I mentioned the game runs on many types of systems so long as it is a dedicated GPU-based computer that was released within the past several years. I ran this at a playable framerate on my Alienware M11x R2 for example, which uses a paltry 335M in it (that's a decade old GPU with half the power of UHD 630 graphics lol). Multiplayer is lots of fun on here as well as most of my playing has been multiplayer and it's never unfunny seeing your friend get mauled by a horde of dinos as you both fail at securing your objective. Needless to say it's a fun game that you can't afford to lose anything at all on for the price.

I tried so hard to like this game but it's so janky and underpopulated that you can't find a game that isn't two people flying around in end game armor and weapons fighting things in the far corner of the map. The game tells you basically nothing and tosses you into a low poly mess of icons, buildings that you can't do anything with, and people who spent more time in this game than I did in all of the schooling in my life. Don't be optimistic and think you'll enjoy this game, it's just not good.

I ran around as a human for a while. Solo.
I checked online, nobody online.

Who needs a meteor when you're the extinction event? If you want to mow down dinos then this is the game to get. Orion: Prelude packs a lot of content to make getting rid of your pest problem a good time. Price is cheap, graphics are great, and you have dinosaurs, gunships, dinosaurs on gunships, and light sabers. What more do you need?
