Short and sweet, very enjoyable, the physics of objects can feel a little odd at times, but otherwise it's such an inventive and clever game.

NyxQuest features a Greek mythology setting/story, and you control both the main character, Nyx (who has limited flying and gliding abilities, which form the basis of the platforming side of things), and the 'hand of Zeus' with which you assist her by throwing blocks around and such forth (oh yes, bow down before the awesome block-moving powers of the Father of the Gods!)

It's a fairly relaxed kind of platformer, without any pixel-perfect jumping required (thank goodness), and I found the flight-based movement to be an enjoyable change. It's not that you can't easily mess up in this game; merely that the chances of doing so once you know what you want to do are much less than in some other games; so while it is challenging at times, it's rarely ever really tough.

Gameplay has enough variety to keep things interesting, with a handful of different sorts of environmental interactions that you must learn to perform whilst you manoeuvre Nyx about the levels.

The graphics are lovely. Audio is nice, if not especially remarkable. The English translation (for subtitles) is a little lacking, but the story isn't all that prevalent, so it's not really an issue.

Performance was generally silky smooth on a machine which was old by 2010 standards, so I would expect no issues at all on a more recent machine.

It took me a little over 6 hours to complete, and with only 12/20 of the secret items (which you can replay levels to look for), so there's good value for money here.

Definitely worth a look for fans of physics platform games. It's not Trine; but if you enjoy that style of game then NyxQuest may prove to be an enjoyable little addition to your collection.

The started off as very fun, but later became very stale, slow and not fun at all. Besides, it crashes too often.

I've played NyxQuest 7 years ago on iPad but it started to charge after I gained all achivements and deleted the game.
Months and years after I couldn't remember the name of it since I was totally a child then.
The only thing I could recall was Nyx, which became part of my nickname.
It was soooo surprised and moved to discover it on Steam 7 years later and the happy moments seem yesterday.

Awesome OST, nice graphics, literally painful controls, playing this game for a long time hurts your fingers, controller support would be great for the jump'n' run sequences.

Wow, i can't believe this game hasn't been reviews. It is an excellent platformer/puzzle game and you should give it a try! I have copies for all the kids as well.

This game starts really dull and simple but as you go on the adventure the puzzles and the platforming becomes more complex. The story is pretty cliché but which one isn't? I Love seeing the main character going aganst the gods to get her beloved. This game is a clear example of how to make progression in a game and avoid making you too powerful.

BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!

An iPad conversion, which kinda shows, although I bet it's much easier with a mouse than with my great fat fingers all over the screen. Not exactly a lot going on, and very basic presentation, but some neat level design, especially the Helios level. It passed a couple of hours well enough.

A puzzle platformer that starts out a bit too simple and starts getting repetetive during the latter parts of the first hour until it starts switching things up by giving you more varied powers and obstacles.
The setting is a post-apocalyptic version of ancient greece which is something you don't see every day.
The graphics and music are both fairly simple but they stay consistent and work for what theyre meant to do.
Overall an alright game, pretty short.

One of the most underrated platformers on the Steam platform. If you have not done it yet, try the demo for yourself. It has Zen like feel to it.

NyxQuest is a great puzzle platformer. Sure, there are better looking games out there, but I like the style and the setting. I do admit they could've used more detailed textures, but it's a Wii port, so I can't really complain. Other than that, I can't really tell you much more about it. You have the ability to fly to get to higher places and during the game you earn extra powers so that you're able to move big statues and blocks for example.
There's a bug that prevents the game from saving, so you need to do a little bit of work to be able to save at all (or you have to restart from the beginning every time you play it).
Despite that I say: thumbs up. Definitely worth it.

Nice and challenging puzzle platformer. Originally released on Wii-Ware, this one offers high res graphics and fun to play. Plus it got some of the most challenging, yet not frustrating achievements out there.
Check it ou! The dev deserve support :D
