Players are supported by faithful retainers who act on their own judgement. The "Dominion" system will allow you to obtain and grant territory to retainers. In return, retainers who are given the land will dedicate themselves to the development of the clan. Divvy up and parcel out the beautifully detailed Warring States Japan as you like, and make it prosper!
Over 2,200 officers will be included, the greatest number in the series. Come together with highly individualistic retainers and move history!
The game will also include various features that befit the 40th anniversary of the series, including scenarios, events, policies, and more, as well as elements from the previous titles such as an editing function that will allow them to change officer status, background music and scenarios, or create new clans.

I feel like this was such a major step backward (sorry but maybe three steps backwards) for the franchise, especially compared with Nobunaga's Ambition Souzou (Sphere of Influence). I started out as a very small clan and maintaining a lot of officers is so difficult I think it might be too unbalanced towards the AI and not towards the person playing it. For smaller campaigns it might be just a minor nuisance but come the large scale unification missions it becomes rather concerning. I think Sphere of Influence has a better retention system out of the games. I still don't get why they need to overhaul it in the name of AI.
I'm going to be blunt about this but all the officers in the game need a major overhaul, from portraits (recycled as far back as Tenkakousei, way back in 2003, almost 20 years ago!) A lot of the officer info are very much recycled as well as a lot of data.
Growing your castle is also so much more confusing, and you can't even build defensive castles anymore like what you can do at Sphere of Influence. You can't even make new towns and expand your towns so you can get more supplies. The battle system is also confusing and it lacks the depth that the previous game has. In the previous game I can actually strategize and plan out the destruction of a bigger army. In this game, since you are stuck in preset lines, it's almost downright impossible to win against a bigger army which just breaks the simulation of the game.

I will suggest to wait for power up edition.
Graphics are great, Sounds are good, characters are cool.
But I can't really suggest it right now.
The economy managements are very limited since you have to pay and if you let the AI do the work its free. (This is so weird)
With people like to micro controls like me it just gets boring cause you have to let AI do it otherwise you simply do not have enough econ to do anything.
Battle wise are even more boring.
You can't really control the tactics/skills or manage the type of units when having a battle.
Not to mention the weird supply system that army from each city CANNOT get resupplied in other region you have...???
AI are very aggressive which is a good thing.
However, current system if you start with faction only has few generals basically you fucked cause you can't even have enough man to manage city you occupied.

本体の値段に対して、
今のどころ。
メイン武将の超大量な過去作からの立ち絵の流用、イベントの流用。
マップのシンプル化。
ゲームメカニズムの“遊べるどころ”の減少、新たなゲームプレイメカニ-
ムの完成度の低さ。-<
7.9GBのＨＤスペースから見て素材の減少もほぼ確定事項。
という問題点が見られます。
いいどころ、
発展と内政と人事を中核に特化した一作とみた。
大名として家臣との交流をわりとimmersiveな方向で進められる。
前作らの評定システムを作業ゲーム感軽減するための一括操作に転換し、-
の中で家臣たちのつぶやきもかなり面白い。-<
人事と田植えゲームかな。
最後、見ればわかると思いますが、「動く武将」が素晴らしい。
立ち絵流用というあきらかな不利な点を補う程のいい判断だと思います。
新たなプレイヤーならばはとてつもないプラス点となるに違いない。
とりあえずpositiveにします。
新たなシステムをもっとゆっくり珍味してからコメさせていただきます。
