Was wartet am Ende deiner Reise?

Vorwort:
Story:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1845220915
Grafik:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1845168857
Sound:

The story is great and the hand painted artwork is beautiful, puzzles are not too difficult and very rewarding. There are even a few Easter eggs hidden in the levels that he had a blast uncovering. The controls are very easy (just point and click with the mouse) and has more depth than some other simple hidden object games.

Well, there is not much to say. It's an emotional game as you can read in the description box where a brother tries to cheer up his little sister because she's ill. The execution of the game is attractive to play and watch, but I think the story is missing or doesn't match the gameplay. If we leave the story of the brothers, it would not be noticed throughout the game, you would only stop feeling a little sad because the girl.
About the gameplay as it features easy puzzles with hints, nice animation, it's colorful and most of all your brain will be happy to stop thinking too much about solutions that blow your mind (yes, for puzzle lovers who play games where the solution is the last thing anyone would think). Oh, finish the game will take you around 4 hours or less.
I recommend that you buy it at a discount (90%)????, to relax and enjoy the visuals. Also, it will be easy for achievement hunters and badge collectors.

For the sale price of 1,49, this is an absolute steal. After quite some while, I can say I finally found a beautifully crafted HOG puzzle game.
The art style is gorgeous, the story is nice, the puzzles are not too easy and boring, but they also do not get frustratingly hard. On top of that, I truly loved the soundtrack, will definitely listen even outside of the game.

It's got a unique art style which is lovely to see, the story line is lovely, quite easy to tell what's going on even my 6 year old niece understood what was happening etc.
It was a nice little brain buster, point and click, not too overwhelming, just enough to get the gears moving.
cinematics weren't overly long and didn't have me spam clicking trying to skip.
It's a great, short little adventure, for you or even tag along your children or family children.

There are a lot of puzzles and I didn't need help with those. They were logical and satisfying.
The two aspects I liked most were the puzzles, and the whole amazing fantasy world. It was bright, colourful, weird, and imaginative. Every time a new area opened up it was a feast for the eyes.
I paid less than £3 for the game when it was on sale. I don't know how I'd feel if I'd paid full price, but at sale price this was an amazing game. It took me eight hours to play through and I don't think it has replay value but I did really enjoy it.
The framing story didn't seem to me to add much and I didn't feel emotionally involved but that didn't really matter to me. It was a good eight hours!

Story & gameplay
A little girl is gifted a toy rabbit to comfort and support her. She is ill, and visiting hospitals. In an imaginary world, this rabbit is also looking for a cure for her persona. In this fairytale world we are solving puzzles to find that cure!
Each of the five chapters start with a screen, where you have to click on a problem to be solved. That problem requires a few similar items, a few can be found on that screen. When all items are found there, you move to another screen. Every screen has a new set of items to find, which also can be found in previous screens. It works very fluidly and intuitive. When you finish a set, there is sometimes a puzzle to solve. Some are easy, but they can be challenging! Especially the puzzles in the final chapter are tough, there is one with stamps, I still have no clue why it is solved the way it is. Overall this is also fun for kids I think.
Aesthetics & Mobile port
The visuals and sounds are well done! It looks almost like a Pixar movie. The music is nice and good, and put into instrument tracks for some puzzles, adding one instrument at a time. There is no language involved, they speak with images.
Yet we are confronted that this is a mobile port by using a very awkward resolution, that no pc uses. We have come to a point that it doesn't really matter anymore, it's just a 'hey, huh?'.
Conclusion
Although HOG isn't really my thing, this one is as good as it gets. A sweet compelling story, good pace, nice puzzles but not too difficult, and it just looks great! What more can you wish for?

I finished the game in around 2.5 - 3 hours and went back to just grab a few achievements I missed and some menu idling, just based on the playtime I would probably suggest buying this on sale, the puzzles never change so the game has zero replayability so it's hard to justify full price for a game that you finish in 2 hours, but on sale it's definitely worth it.
Gameplay is what it says, a clicking item finder with puzzles.
Puzzles are pretty simple, some of the items are hidden well, so you most likely won't just blast through the 5 chapters mindlessly at least.
Tldr;
Overall a cute singleplayer puzzle experience with a dark undertone to the story, would highly recommend getting it on sale though

To break it down...
PROS:
# Artstyle = NOT dated/nor any dodgy attempts at 'realism' with weirdly 'off' proportions in faces/bodies etc [unlike a lot of their previous art styles!!!] INSTEAD it's fun, quirky, & nicely cohesive.
# Overall Game Theme = wonderful levels of creative imagination in the attention to detail/little things; it's amusing & quirky as hell, but also with beautiful deeper undercurrents of meaning in their symbolism.
# Soundtrack = perfect balance of relaxing and 'cheerful' in their background music [not to soporific, but also not too jarring/energetic when I wanna chill out!]
# Utility = the UI feels a lot cleaner and fresher [the 'what's left to find on this screen' is compact and it's all refreshingly minimalist & simple, yet without being too 'spoon-feed-y' either.
CONS:
# Only one I can think of, is that I was sad when this ended - in about 5-6 hours (with some AFK time) [100% achievement completion too] because I just didn't want it to end!
Would definitely be a HUGE *Recommend* if you're a fan of amusingly quirky, but very sweet, point and click puzzlers!

Another break from the typical style of their games is the storyline and the way it was told. The story is told without any words at all. However, it is the story of a young girl in a family who is ill and taken to the hospital. The rabbit is her doll. The game you play is what is happening in her and her brother's imagination to make her break out of the hurt and slump that she is in. The cinematics between levels are very well hand drawn and keep a simple, yet intriguing purpose to why you are playing the game.
The graphics are different too. More crisp, more colorful, and definitely more whimsical. This is inside the young girl's imagination and it shows as the graphics are fun. Each scene offers a variety of imaginative locations such as the melted clock, the floating islands, or the bike that can fly like a plane. The music is very good too. It doesn't bother at all and is actually very decent.
Overall, this is the most highly recommended Artifex Mundi game I can offer yet. While this one broke from the general tradition of their games, it stands out as being more fun, more challenging, more pleasing aesthetically, and quite charming and memorable. Definitely pick this one up if you get the chance, as I'm wondering why it took me so long to finally get to this game.

A little boy's younger sister becomes seriously ill and to cope, he escapes into a surreal world with her toy rabbit. Graphics are delightfully bright and cartoonish and music was lovely. The opening song is very moving and I sat listening to it again as the credits rolled.
There is quite a bit of pixel hunting and you hunt for items to get mechanisms going to advance the rabbit. Puzzles are very easy...the hardest was the stamp one. You meet some delightful characters . Be sure to touch everything to get great sound effects.
The downside is that it took me only 6 hrs to complete, so very expensive for such a short game. Be sure to buy on sale. I came across no glitches. 8/10

Interesting art style.
Perfectly playable.
Nice range of achievements.
Coherent story tugs at the heart.
Didn't hit any bugs.
Cons:
Story very simple.
No voice acting.
Puzzles are the same old puzzles that have been used a hundreds times before and they picked the more frustrating to play ones.
It becomes a bit of a click-fest looking for the hidden things.
You can't collect all of the hidden items you spot until you you hit the puzzle that needs them and that puzzle won't appear until you unlock areas of the map.
It's over-rated, 7/10.

The Good:
- Artifex Mundi certainly went out there with the visuals. Where is there? I don’t know, but I wish they would do something like this with one of their HOGs.
- The OST is an entertaining mix of music that sounds fantastical, French, and sometimes even incorporates throat singing.
- The story is not told with exposition, rather, there are cutscenes that show and don’t tell.
- The story is enjoyable when you realize it’s about
a child tripping hard and hallucinating about their toy going on an adventure as their brain releases DMT shortly before their death
.
The Neutral:
- You must wait for an animation to cease before an interaction may take place, so take your Ritalin before playing.
- The game involves finding something you can interact with, learning what is needed to actually interact with it, and finding several of whatever that thing is so that you can progress.
The Bad:
- The game borrows too many puzzles from HOGs.
- The puzzles aren’t difficult.
Pro Tips:
- Items light up in the corner if one is present.
- There are missable achievements.
While this game is different from the more familiar HOGs that Artifex Mundi pumps out, it still borrows from them—mainly with the puzzles. It’s not very difficult, and it seems like it’s geared towards children and candy flippers. I think it’s worth a try, but not at $15. Get it in a bundle or at a lower price.

Right in the feels
TL;DR This the best hidden object game hands down.
HOG games usually are fun and relaxing if you love genre but a lot of puzzles or item placement doesn't make any sense and i'm not even going to talk about stories in those, they're ridiculous.
So how My Brother Rabbit is different to those? Well, it tells a touching story of a seriously ill girl and her brother. I think because the game is kids friendly the story is told through symbolism in a surreal world so that children wouldn't understand and get upset about seeing terrible things the little girl goes through. Instead there are cut-scenes which happen in real time, it shows the illness but in kind of a cute way. But all is revealed through gameplay where you can find plenty of stuff indicating the girl is going through
chemo and surgery, brother drowning in depression
and other stuff. This really hit me hard in the feelings when I realized that. Never thought a game so colorful could be so sad. Nevertheless it;s a heartwarming game, after all children should enjoy it too so you get a happy ending.
Artifex Mundi tries to innovate here and they succeeded. On top of a great story the gameplay is pretty good too. Plenty of puzzles which sometimes could be quite difficult but no too bad. There's no skip button or any help so you'll need either to figure it out yourself or look for a solution.
You pick up hidden items and when you have enough you open a puzzle. Nothing fancy but it's fun.
By the way there is a little help from the game if you struggle to find the hidden objects. Right in the corner where you see what items you need. If it's gray that means there's no item in that location.
The artstyle is very nice, lot of attention to small details, all locations look lovely and surreal. Music is ok. There's no voiceovers, there's no dialogues and that's a good thing knowing the quality of dialogues in HOG games.
This a nice evolution of hidden object genre. Even if you're not a fan of these games you should play it just for the amazing story and surreal world.
Pros
- Great story
- Cute graphics
- Good puzzles
Cons
- Help or skip button for the puzzles would be nice

The backstory to MBY (differentiated by a drastically different art style) was about a family with an extremely ill small daughter and a toy rabbit. In theory, the two stories supposedly run as “source documents” for each other, but it doesn’t really work. (Yeah, mostly just an “Aww, gee. SO cute” factor, but no harm done.)
While MBR stopped at just the right point (about 6 -7 hours total, counting offline play), it still was beginning to become a bit weary to continually move back and forth between the handful of areas in each of maybe a half-dozen scenarios. (But each time it seemed a bit too familiar, a puzzle would pop up.) The timing was nice, and the price fair for the 50% discount I paid.

Really beautiful and funny HOG game. The puzzles where you had to add the different parts to the main object were my favorite because of all the sounds it added. If you want the achievements in one run, you have to check before hand (or look at a player guide) because otherwise you'll have to play it twice.

The story of My Brother Rabbit is quite good. It's actually a sad and very heartfelt one, but portrayed in a way that is easily understandable and explainable for young children.
I can recommend My Brother Rabbit for everyone who likes puzzles and hidden object games. I also give it extra points for being colorful, cute and in all aspects suitable for small children. There aren't that many games that manage being interesting for both, kids and their parents, at the same time.
