This game effectively had a massive influence on my childhood. It has aged well, i even went back and played through the whole game on expert. (which you could still do despite some not knowing how to go into local files, install file, and then run directx and physx, which will fix it easily. If you have a question, i encourage you to ask. I will respond.)
The game is now available on origin for $10. Because of course they would charge that much. I imagine the same fix is applicable to the origin version just like the steam version, if they did not already fix it themselves that is.
Once you get the game running, you are greeted by the training mission, which teaches you how to jump from planes and land effectively. Afterwards, you participate in the allied invasion of sicily during operation husky. After fighting further into Italy in the archaeological sites at paestum, you assist in the invasion of normandy, and capture a key bridge during operation overlord. Next, you land in the industrial district in Germany, and sabotage the German war machine's ability to function. Afterwards, you participate in a grand (albeit fictional operation) finale called Der Flakturm. A massive tower with artillery, AA, German storm troopers and Fallschirmjaegers, and half tracks. The final part is difficult, but i believe that if you have patience, and utilize your gammon grenades, you can do it! Afterall, it took me 5 years to beat it (At the ripe age of 11, i finally made it past the last part.)
Once you get past the initial installation and occasional bug, the game is wonderful. Just remember that it is from 2007. To those who complain that the game doesnt work, and are leaving angry comments, i will gladly help you get this running.

- Performance: Excellent (Played at 1440p, max settings, 120fps).
- Art style: Excellent (I love WWII setting)
- Gameplay: Very good (The shooting feels nice)
- Story: Very Good (Average WWII story, where you fight with your comrades, in different territories)
- Sound, Music, Voice: Excellent (Soundtrack is really good)
This is one of the best WWII FPS campaigns I have ever played. Everything comes together right.

❌ Unintelligent AI
❌ AI teammates die too quickly
❌ Most enemies don't drop a gun
❌ Enemies keep spawning and swarming like zombies
❌ Enemies come out of nowhere
❌ 0 teamwork
❌ Enemies keep throwing nades at you
❌ Won't save unless you complete an objective
❌ Enemies can shoot and kill you without looking at you
❌ Weird slow-motion and blur effect
✔️ It's a classic
[b] Bottom Line: Play if you admire classics that much. But there are definitely better classics out there.

Positives:
- MoHAA music and vibe
- You collect weapons and can change them before the mission
- Weapon and Grenades mastery - after completing you get larger magazine, upgraded satchel, etc.
Negatives:
- Very glitchy. I flew out of the map couple of times. Stuck on walls - had to restart the mission. Enemy sometimes could shoot me through the walls.
- Weapon models and some ingame objects often disappears
- Teammates get in the way while you are scoping
- Aiming is one of the worst I have ever seen
- Checkpoint system is the worse. After you die even after completing an objective, you have to go through same spots all over again
- Missions felt boring and there is nothing like progression or story.

The last mission has some visual glitches, but nothing game breaking. In-game rewards like medals are a bit useless, but you get an upgrade to each one of your weapons once you get enough kills. The most unique part is when you battle fascists in Italy in the first mission.
I recommend you try this one if you like WW2 FPS games.

-Open style levels are fun to explore and fight in
-Levels are varied
-Fast paced combat
-Decent selection of weapons
-Drop in mechanics are a lot of fun
-The peeking system for aiming works very well
Cons:
-Lots of no registration and range issues with guns
-AI is really dumb (especially your allies)
-Enemy AI likes to focus on the player
-Enemy AI will sometimes randomly one shot the player with a rocket launcher or sniper from long distance or really awkward sight lines that would be impossible
-Enemy AI seems to be able to shoot through barriers
-Weird clipping and movement issues for the human player
-When one dies the enemies re-populate so one has to go through waves of enemies they have already defeated - gets frustrating
-Started getting shot while a cut scene was ending
-Restarting levels makes you watch the cut scene intro again which is not skippable
-No story at all - you have a name and there is some Colonel Logs that don't tell you a lot - you get promoted at one point to Private First Class even though you have been one man armying the entire German Army to that point
-Your allies are often MIA
Bottom Line:
A cool concept with really fun segments that is ruined by it's glitchy nature and poor ai that makes for a frustrating experience. Would not recommend to anybody for anything other than Nostalgia purposes.

This game is amazing, it really captures the feel of being an Airborne quite well. The setting, gameplay, atmosphere, and hell the graphics for 2007 is quite impressive. The game is pretty simple, not much of a storyline or any emotional attachment to any characters but that's exactly what I was just looking for because the second world war was nothing but a meat grinder!
This game is a MUST PLAY! A MUST PLAY! PLAY IT RIGHT NOW, BUY IT AND PLAY IT!

Pros:
- Fun campaign
-decent choice of guns
-somewhat good graphics
Those are all pros I could give.
Now as for the Cons: The Multiplayer is what could potentially be really fun and all that, but the problem is that the peak is only 8 -12 players, which isn't a lot. People who still play Multiplayer are mostly OG's who like to destroy other players at the game, so if you are a new player, you will get dragged around left and right.
The campaign is probably the juice of the game, but it's quite a short campaign.
For the price it is, a good game, but pretty much dead.
That's it. Buy it if you want to.

Pros:
- Great missions
- Multiple ways to approach one mission due to always starting by jumping out of a plane.
- Iconic soundtrack
- Weapons feel quite great to use
- Weapon upgrades
- Bonus videos (Trainings and in-development videos)
Neutral:
- Quite short (3~ hours)
- Can't tell much about the multiplayer, I assume it's dead at this point considering how old this game is.
- The cover system is a bit hit or miss, but it works
Cons:
- Some visual glitches
- No bullet penetration (Can't hit enemies through thin wood for example)
- On the first mission at Adanti, you fight against Italian soldiers in 1943, but they do not use any italian guns at all, felt a bit lazy.
- When you get a weapon upgrade, the game goes slow-motion with a very intense DoF, which can be quite irritating after the 3rd upgrade you get.
- I had encountered 2 game breaking bugs (Got stuck in a wall twice)
- I don't understand why Panzerschrek units wear gas masks, feels off
- The Nazi Storm Elite unit looks badass and all that, but it doesn't really feel right in a WW2 game. It's like something out of a Wolfenstein game.
8/10 It's a great Medal of Honor game, but it has its flaws. Great experience nonetheless.

My reasons for enjoying Airborne so much aren't because of anything particularly special about it. It looks decent for a 15-year old game, the maps are well-designed, and the guns are fun to shoot. But it's more because most of the annoying crap which is so common in FPS games of the late 2000s is mercifully missing from this one. Some examples:
- Unskippable cutscenes are kept to a minimum, and empty gameplay (e.g. waiting for AI companions or holding down the W key) is completely absent. There are mission briefings you have to sit through before each level, but they're only about a minute long and are followed by 30 to 45 minutes of virtually uninterrupted running and gunning.
- The friendly AI is actually helpful. They aren't exactly intelligent (nor are the enemies for that matter), but they get their share of kills and don't crowd you as much as in other games, for example by trying to force themselves into cover you're currently occupying or walking into your line of fire (the latter does tend to happen in the game's few close-quarter battles however). They also do a good job of pressing forward as soon as the immediate area is clear, instead of waiting for you to lead the way.
- The enemies are not psychic. If you flank them without being seen, they will not turn their attention to you until after you've started shooting. And they don't have pinpoint-perfect aim either, so peeking out of cover for a split-second doesn't result in an immediate bullet to the head from an enemy who's 100 yards away (hello Call of Duty).
Speaking of cover - Airborne uses one of the better implementations of an FPS cover system, in that you can peek in any direction (including up and down) while aiming down sights. It would have been nice to be able to peek without aiming, but it's quite useful as it is, and makes shooting through small gaps in the geometry both possible and satisfying.
Airborne is a short game - just a few hours long on normal difficulty - but that's basically the perfect length for a game that now costs only $10. And there's more replayability than usual since the 6 levels all take place in open-ended maps, allowing for a fair amount of variation in how you approach each objective and in what order.
I only wish EA would revisit the game for some needed maintenance. Add Steam achievements to give it a little more value, remove the censorship (at least for regions where it's not necessary to hide Nazi imagery), and clean up the technical issues people have encountered.

The game is scuffed in more ways as well. Iron sights don't seem to line up properly with shots. Ragdolls can fly in the air at random. Enemy AI often run around like headless chickens. They sit in cover with their head neatly lined up for you for ages, or run a long distance just to attempt to punch you in the face.
This is just plain unpolished. Also the levels after the first one (set in an Italian village) don't seem to improve. The game was most fun landing on rooftops and clearing quaint little houses. The standard trench/bunker warfare shit that follows this opening isn't as interesting.

The single player is fairly average and very short even compared to other MoH games. Highlights were the non-linear level design and the very mobile enemy AI, although the game is let down by some odd design choices such as making the hipfire accuracy on everything atrocious until you get enough kills to unlock the accuracy upgrade which just make the guns not fun to use until that point.

Pros
+ 21:9 Native support, great to see for a 2009 game.
+ Objectives are a better written than other ww shooters of this era.
+ Smart ai (some instances not all) for the time, flanking etc.
+ leaning/peaking for a more tactical approach.
+ Weapon loadout a the start of each mission to choose how you approach.
+ Para-drop in to pick a location, on top of a building or in the action.
Cons
- Weird aiming, clear console port.
- forced motion blur, never a good sign.
- forced mouse acceleration.
- Absence of anti-aliasing.
- Team ai constantly gets in your line of fire.
- Old school enemy aimbot. was never keen on this.
- Enemies spawning only 20 metres in front of you. very obvious.
- Enemy AI often ignore team ai even if they are in the open to focus on you behind cover.
- Constantly getting stuck on objects, unable to move. highly annoying.
Summery
Medal of honor airborne is another game in the series, this entry takes place across various theatres and operations. While there isn't much of a story which i would have liked, the various levels and missions feel well adjusted and tuned well to make for a fairly realistic ww2 shooter.
the gameplay mixes that of some tactical shooters, with a standard fps, this adds a bit of depth to the gameplay, with an emphasis on leaning and strategic placement, either while spawning and parachuting on top of a building for a better shot at long range with a loadout you create at the start of the mission.
The main issue i have with the game is the enemy Ai with their over-the-top aimbot, (on hardest difficulty) it can be quite annoying, very inconsistent as well, sometimes failing to notice you at all or getting stuck and failing to shoot at your team standing out in the open.
*Medal of honor Airborne May fail to launch for some on newer hardware, to fix this go into Install directory, Moha/install/Physx and install the physx driver manually, if it fails, uninstall your current physx and try again.
*Fov is very consoley' to fix this as well as some additions, a mod is available here ---> https://www.moddb.com/mods/medal-of-honor-airborne-redux/images/image-11#imagebox
Things certainly have advanced since 2007, so in that regards it hasn't aged well at all, but overall if i look at the complete package it does still bring to the table what others don't.
Sale still recommended.

Medal of Honor: Airborne
A blast from the past. handsome amazing time back in my early teen days with Medal of Honor: Airborne. Spending hours after school on multiplayer with my whole squad was a blast.
Released back in 2007 by EA for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii . This was a pinnacle of FPS shooter gaming back in the day. Extremely enjoyable campaign and multiplayer games.
I wish they would make more Medal of Honor games.
Plot
The plot bases around Boyd Travers, a U.S. paratrooper, who participates in six different missions. Each one takes place during a different operation, from Operation Husky to bringing down Der Flakturm in Germany. Travers fights alongside the 82nd airborne division and the 17th Airborne, in 'Young Fools' and 'Flying through Hail'.
Gameplay
For 2007 this was a great gaming experience. some minor hiccups aside, both Medal of Honor: Airborne camping and multiplayer was very enjoyable.
Focuses on non-linear gameplay. The player is allowed to choose a loadout at the beginning of the missions and is allowed to use enemy weapons. Weapon pickups are a big thing in this game, tho you don't think about it while player but it is. Enemies drop ammo after death but that doesn't help much and you will end up having to pick up enemy weapons due to inaccurate weapons and heavy recoil.
Weapon modeling was done well which adds well to the player experience.
The game also lets the player choose where to land and what objectives to complete first. Tho I must say I was never a fan of the Airbornes para jumping feature. Always felt they could have done a better job at it.
The player is able to upgrade weapons and grenades, upgrades which carry over from mission to mission.
Medal of Honor: Airborne allows players to go throw quite a few different weapons, which are -
For the American side - M1911, M1 Garand, M1903/A5 Springfield, Thompson submachine gun, Browning Automatic Rifle, MK 2 Grenade, Winchester Model 12 Shotgun, and M18 recoilless rifle. ( Every weapon expect M18 recoilless rifle and MK 2 are upgradable )
For the German side - C96, Karabiner 98 Kurz, Gewehr 43, MP40, Sturmgewehr 44, Model 24 Stielhandgranate, Panzerschreck, and MG42 ( Every weapon expect MG42 are upgradable )
The game was nowhere near perfect but for the time it was a very well made game and enjoyable, which also allowed Medal of Honor: Airborne receive warm welcome by the gaming communities worldwide.
Positives
- Innovative for the time.
- Rewards effort and experimentation.
- Very enjoyable multiplayer experience.
- Parachuting into battles grants more freedom and adds verticality to combat.
- Great open-ended level design.
- Some awesome Unreal-powered graphics.
- Nonlinear objectives.
- Good looking weapon design.
- Cool weapons upgrade system
- Quite a few weapons to choose from.
- Still worth playing.
- Runs well on modern hardware.
Negatives
- Rather Short campaign.
- Not the prettiest, even for the time.
- Long load times for the time.
- The six missions are over too quickly.
- Poor AI.
- Roughly 6 hours of play will see you finish the entire game.
- Not enough playing time to unlock everything.
Summary
Medal of Honor: Airborne is still worth putting your time into.
The pros outweigh the cons. and the cons are minor.
Not much to do in-game but the gameplay is enjoyable. And fairly priced for the age of the game.
I highly recommend it. if you haven't played Medal of Honor: Airborne.
Worth every last penny.
Best wishes, happy Gaming...

OLD IS GOLD
It was a great experience. A really good war game made by EA back in 2007. Didn't face a single problem running this game in 2020.
* Great campaign
* Awesome action
* Satisfied weapon upgrade system
* Variations in gameplay
* Intense fighting
It is a must play game for whoever didn't play it yet. If you are a shooting freak like, then you will definitely like it.....

However, this game is still plenty of fun, the sound design is great, the glitches don't get in the way of gameplay, and chasing the weapon upgrades gives you a lot of reason to play aggressively. I don't remember how much I paid or even how much it's listed on the store page as I write this review, but I would pay $15 for this.

The game runs pretty well all in all, have noticed some minor to serious physics mess ups in some areas. such as you getting flung backwards on certain slopes or just flat out getting stuck, which happened to me in one of the bunkers in operation Neptune while trying to go down the stairs. took a grenade to break myself free in the end.
The segmented health system works in this for the most part. but sometimes it can be difficult to get your bearings when dealing with large groups before biting the dust at lower health but really on normal difficulty the game isn't horribly hard to get by in, seeing as I managed to grind the 1911 to max level without too much difficulty. That being said, I am a very, very aggressive player so it is very possible that I was my own worst enemy in the end.
Let's talk about the biggest problem with this game. Its save system (or lack of one). The game runs off of checkpoints, which is fine, what isn't fine is that the game has an option to overwrite checkpoint save that does literally nothing. Which is really frustrating when you manage to level up a weapon twice and get both a fire rate and a damage upgrade so you save the game, then you die. but hey its no problem I have myself a save with those upgrades... then you parachute down. and see that your gun is back down to level 1.5 and you are back where you started 20 minutes of grinding ago. now that doesn't sound awful... Except that the game is partially random with AI behavior and this reload replaced the Italians and Germans with Japan's finest who just ran out of ammo. Banzai.
I know this review is mostly focused on the cons of the game. and that's because well... its Good... but its problems are just bad enough that they can make or break your enjoyment of the game and you have a right to know. That's all for this game. Ciao

Taking place during a war that never happened, you play as a war god named Travers who is capable of evolving his guns in the middle of the battlefield by feeding it the blood of Germans and Italians. Travers is part of the 82nd Airborne, a group that got paid extra to jump out of planes and yell at people with bullets. The game takes you everywhere from France, to Italy, to Germany, to the fictional country of Holland.
The last level stretches believably by having you invade Hitler's doom fortress and do battle with his Nazi super soldiers.
What do you mean the Doom Fortress was real?
Each mission has you jumping out of an airplane and landing somewhere on the map of your choosing. Some places to land get you filled with holes, while others reward you with bullets. Its a viable strategy to just land on an objective and work your way down.
When you die, Travers simply dematerializes and wakes up again in the air so he can drop once more, as per his war god status. Possessed by the murderous spirit of John Browning, every kill increases your murder bar of your weapon, allowing it to evolve. Or in the case of the Thompson, devolve into it's more primal, savage form. Each weapon can rank up three times and gets a bonus each time it ranks up. More accuracy, more damage, Italian seeking missiles, etc.
It just happens on the spot. I started the first mission with a regular Thompson, and ended it with a Chicago type writer. Giving those Italians a taste of Italian-American culture.
Each level introduces a new enemy that apparently has more killing potential than the last, though all I noticed is that at a certain level the Kar 98 just kind of disappears and is replaced by the STG-44. For example, the first level had the best of the best of the Italian, and the next level had the German Volks armee.
This game kind of just insults the Italians.
The gameplay is basically just jumping out of a plane, landing, and killing everything that moves. You'd think this would get old, but considering the game is only 3 hours long. It really doesn't have a chance to.
There are some glitches, though I don't know its because the game is old or because it was released like that. Guns would vanish in peoples hands during cutscenes, sometimes everything will just stop spawning. And other times elevator lifts would just disappear and you would have to put your faith in god before stepping on them.
The nature of the maps is kind of cool, like a power struggle between two opposing forces. American Airborne lands and then fight to set up a frontline against the defenders, and from there you need to push with your boys to the objective. And they're fairly competent with murder as well, so they can actually help in a fight.
Sometimes.
Or you can just land on top of the objective, slap some guy in the head, and then kill all his friends. I do this a lot.
Medal of Honor: Airboner is alright, its short, but its fun for the time it takes to beat. You can sit down, play it, and then finish it before you have to pee, so its got that going for it.
It gets a score of. I don't know. 4? 6? Sure, 7.
Medal of Honor gets a 7 out of 82.
John Browning died in 1926 in Belgium.
Join the curator please, I'm very senstive.
