Für mich der beste ME Teil, besonder das Citadel DLC ist sehr empfehlenswert ein würdiger Abschluss. Grafisch natürlich schon altbacken, aber es ist recht gut gealtert wogegen ME1 sehr schlecht gealtert ist. Hab nicht umsonst schon 75 Std gespielt :) Mal sehen wie sich die Remasterd spielen lässt..

ME3 Startet nicht mehr. Weder eine Reparatur, Neuinstallation oder Overlay Deaktivierung über Origin haben geholfen.
Selbst die komplette Deinstallation+Regedit-Löschung von Origin hat nix gebracht.

Solange ich nicht weiß was hier abgeht , rate ich davon ab das Game über Steam zu kaufen.

Falls der eine oder andere eine Lösung gefunden hat,währe ich Ihn/Sie echt dankbar.

If you love Mass Effect and wanna experience it with a friend or with other people, this is the game to buy for it. This shit is engaging and fun.
Especially when on deal, its a steal.
There is a feeling of nostalgia when you get an understanding of the multiplayer component, even if you had never partook in it during its prime. The structure of it as a whole is reminiscent of 2010 games. A "Tacked on" multiplayer component with depth to match the Mariana.

i played the game and the multiplayer is awesome.

The thing is that when i tried to open it the other day, the game asked for a key. it is a known bug but all the solution EA support told me didnt work.

So yeah sick game but EA is complete garbage useless crap. Im pissed.

This game has never launched correctly with Origin and now with EA. So many errors. Now it's asking for a product key, or I need to completely re-buy the game through EA. EA is a complete joke. Don't waste your time or money purchasing this.

Absolutely not recommended, unless you enjoy installation headaches. Trying to import save files is a pain, and that's not even touching how frustrating it is when the outdated launcher demands a product key you may not even have. Used to run fine on this PC, then after I did a wipe and attempted to reinstall, it flat out refused authorization. Even if you have the key, the launcher perpetually thinks you're offline and doesn't allow you to enter it.

Don't give EA your money - just watch a playthrough on YouTube or something. They're doing everything they can to force folks to buy this game in the Legendary Edition remaster.

The game is great, HOWEVER I cannot recommend the Steam version because of EA's godawful customer support and DRM. No matter what you do, it cannot log you in as the DRM relies on Origin, which was shut down a few years ago, and EA never bothered to fix anything that might have used it. Basically, it locks you out of playing the game that you paid for!!

If you buy the Steam version, to get it to work you have to download it through EA's app. If your Steam and EA accounts are synced, it should already be in your EA library. After installing it, Steam should detect it and you can play it through Steam as usual without issue, with achievements etc. Still a massive pain.

In short, fuck EA.

Great game. Shit DRM. Companies like EA and the things they do to make consumer's lives that much more inconvenient i.e. having to use this AND Origins anyway just to play a game you wanted to avoid Origin for are why I support piracy.

As sad as that is to say some things, especially crap DRM, don't deserve our support. Only buy this if you are willing to put up with Origin breaking your install every other update just so you can possibly play the multiplayer with some friends. If you just want to play the single player for the experience: Go to the yarr-harr bay.

By far the best of the Mass Effect series game-play wise, albeit I wish the story interacted with some of the characters differently like Miranda being a squad mate OR AT LEAST be a member of the Normandy, make it possible for Legion to survive, and things of that nature.

Ye Olde Mass Effect fan here.

If you're like me and wanted to have ME3 in your Steam library to complete the trilogy and hopefully remove Origin from your life, you'll be disappointed. You NEED to have Origin installed in order for the game to launch. Currently there is no reason to buy this game again on Steam, especially not now that the Legendary Edition is out.

If, however, you bought it to return to the multiplayer as I had — you may notice that the game fails to launch entirely. If this happens, navigate to C:ProgramDataElectronic ArtsEA ServicesLicense and delete every file in the License folder. Restart your computer and then launch the game from Steam again.

AND QUICK REMINDER:
This does not include the DLC bundle which is pretty much essential for the multiplayer experience as it includes platinum difficulty, additional map variations, etc. If you do not have the DLC expansions, you may find yourself waiting endlessly in matchmaking due to less players overall. The DLC bundle is currently set at £25 also.

A fitting end to the heroic tale of Commander Shepard. If you play through the first and second games, you WILL CRY at the end of Mass Effect 3. Props ton BioWare for making me care about video game characters like no other game ever has. I feel as though they were real people, my real friends and my real family.

The Crew of the SSV Normandy will forever be in our hearts <3

Unfortunately I have to give this game a big thumbs down with less than one hour played. It forces you to use Origin when you launch from Steam, which I was prepared to deal with, but it is completely broken as in I literally CANNOT launch this game. I was only able to get it to work once. I cannot recommend this experience to anybody in good faith, sorry.

To be clear, I LOVE this game, but I do not recommend buying unless you are confident in your abilities to edit the game in your computer's program files. EA's stupid insistance that this game be played while connected to the Origin launcher but IN steam has caused massive headaches for me. I'll have played it for a character and then wait a few months before wanting to play it again but then an update in origin or something or other will prevent it from connecting and I cant even physically start the game. If you can buy this on console, DO IT. Or bite the bullet and just buy it through the Origin launcher. Steam and Origin do not play well together which breaks my heart because Mass Effect is such a great game.

It's honestly not worth dealing with the EA Origin APP in order to play it. Origin has suddenly decided that I don't own the game, despite buying it through Steam and playing it many times. Steam says I have to deal with Origin to fix the problem, and I'd honestly rather eat a whole cactus, raw.

Watch out, this game is not launching for a lot of people. I got it to work one time after trying a bunch of fixes, then it stopped working again. More EA and Origin nonsense.

Mass Effect 3 is a great game! But this is not a viable way to purchase & experience it.

Unplayable. Tried the trick where you delete the license folder and then it said I needed to update Physx. I HAVE AMD. I DONT HAVE NVIDIA SOFTWARE. This is just EA's way of forcing you to use their piece of shit client. Unbelievable.

I am a fifteen year old guy, in 2021. my dad recommended this series to me and I tried to get the legendary edition, but it didn't work. I sadly figured out that my computer was made just at the wrong time. too old to endure amazing graphics, too new to play with old programs. My dad had only played this one, and I, loving stories, was skeptical about starting at the end of the first trilogy. I wanted to start at the beginning, but it is unlikely that the first or even the second would work with my computer.
I now just finished it and admit I was near tears. I died by taking control of the reapers, and felt like I was there. As the images of the characters of the game scrolled by, I saw friends.
I don't know the history and connections to these people as I would have if I started from the beginning, but I sure am going to now.
To all you like me, eager to play a part in stories and not purely for the enjoyment of blasting aliens away, or picking a fight just because you can. Rather you want to be a part of something, see what you can do, be inspired by amazing characters and builders of this amazing game series, you would love this game! I recommend this game! I am now going to work and see how I can claim the first two games, and then go off on a new adventure in the Mass Effects world!

This is worth getting for the multiplayer mode alone. You will spend dozens of hours in there.

It is pretty much horde mode with custom arsenal and layouts.

Highly addicting and some of the best gameplay in years.

There are several different play-styles and a myriad of avatars to choose from.

You can get the DLC for free directly from the Origin App. No need to buy it on here.

Just go to your game library then look for extra content and download all the ones that don't cost points.

Now the campaign is also pretty solid and almost as good as Mass Effect 2.

The Game play is a lot smoother and plays pretty much like Gears of War.

I love the whole war map that adds a sense of urgency.

Overall it just feels crisp and it's the perfect end to the trilogy.

Def get this version if you want co-op otherwise stick to Legendary edition if you only care about solo.

Will dump another 100+ hours (Counting XBOX 360 and Origin) until Mass Effect 4 comes out.

First of all, it says 6.7 hours, but i stopped playing and then bought the legendary edition for the PS5 and then spent 92 hours playing this series non-stop. I feel compelled to review the third game specifically because of how this game in particular spoke to me. I tried to play this game twice before I finally bit the bullet and finished it. Once when I was 15, and again last year, and now finally I 100%ed it. I played Mass Effect 1 and 2 three times over before I finally finished ME 3. I can say with all honesty, that Mass Effect 3 is one of the finest video games I have every played. It is easily my favorite of the trilogy and I will explain why despite its more than lackluster ending.

Mass Effect as a trilogy was built around the impending doom of the Reaper invasion and the group of heroes led by Commander Shepherd to stop them. Mass Effect 1 introduced us the these band of heroes, Mass Effect 2 added more characters and fleshed out the ones we loved and made us care for the new ones as well. Mass Effect 3 takes the time spent developing those characters and making us love them and then uses that care to develop a story that is literally perfect (Up until the final 15 minutes of this game). The scenarios and character/story arcs that develop throughout this game in particular are some of the most thrilling and well written pieces of media let alone video games that I've ever had the privilege to experience. Multiple parts of this game had me holding back tears as the game takes characters we've spent years getting to know go through hell to fight off what seems like an unwinnable enemy. By the time I finished the Citadel DLC and I had to continue the story to end the game, I didn't want the game to end. I would have done anything to get one more second in this game with these characters as my commander shepherd. Few games have garnered such emotion from me.

This game was so good to me that it begged the question from me. If I had 91.75 great hours in this series, does that oh so sour final 15 minutes destroy what I had come to love. To be honest, I don't have an answer. I think that I will never forget my time with this series, and this entry in particular is one I hope to remember quiet fondly. I think with a game like this, and with characters this strong, Mass Effect as a series was never about the destination. It was about the Journey with these characters and the adventures you had with them.

I can comfortably say that if you believe that a quarter of an hour can sour your almost 100 hours spent playing through this series than probably wait to see if Mass Effect 4 will be any good. If you can look past was is probably one of the worst endings to anything I've ever experienced then please do play this game, because that journey is one you won't soon forget.

This is not all the DLC's but it does have a the Extended Cut which allows you to create a better ending. I still modded the ending, yet this is a good edition. I'd recommend this game to you.

The added origin launcher makes this game almost non-functional. I have attempted many times to launch the game from both here and the origin launcher, since the steam menu does not directly start the game, and each time it brings origin back up. This is really a reflection on a poorly designed steam-adjacent product shilled to us by EA in an attempt to compete with steam. The game itself is fairly fun, from what I've managed to play before not being able to launch it again (which was only about 7.5 hours or so) but I definitely will not be recommending others play it through the same client as I have. Save yourself the time and money and buy a physical version. Maybe for the xbox or something, just not through EA's origin.

The game itself is great. The anti-piracy protections from EA and Origin literally make it impossible to play at times. I paid for the game but I'm forced to use Origin and their servers go down often which means I can't play the SINGLE PLAYER GAME THAT I PAID FOR because EA's servers are down?? Insanity. It was also incredibly hard to actually get the game to run on Origin in the first place.

Game is Ok, its a nice story for sure, one i would like to finish. Anyhow after playing the game for a month it suddenly stopped launching. I spent probably over a 100 hours trying to fix the issue reading bloggs, watching videos etc., and speaking with EA support who steam directs you to. Steams support was not good, they have a message that basically says for EA games contact EA directly and finding steam support is difficult and a bit of a hope and prayer in my experience. As for EA, well, i spent hours and hours talking with EA support who was little help, making me go though the same steps over and over. I had over 4 dropped calls with EA in 1 morning alone and when I called back was told I could not talk to the same person and had to start over again. EA left the impression that they wanted to give the appearance of helping but really i was left with the impression that they didnt want to help and was more hoping I would go away. Through the conversations with EA, they tended to pass the blame onto steam, witch i thought is a bit unprofessional, in my mind they should be working together to solve issues not blaming one another. Overall as a customer of both steam and EA i felt like I was between a rock and a hard place for no reason. I felt they should have both been keen on resolving the issue together. Anyhow, I caution with buying EA games on steam because if you have any support issues you may find yourself out of luck with little help on either side. Thank you very much and I hope others have a better experience than I in dealing with tech. issues.

Mass Effect 3 on Steam is broken. EA forces you to go through the Origin app/launcher to play this game which causes no end of issues with actually getting this game to run. After playing this one time, ME3 fails to launch. Trying to launch via Steam sent an endless loop of failing to open the Origin app. Trying to go through Origin app after connecting my ME3 key from Steam causes ME3 to do an endless loop of failing to launch and going back to the Origin homepage.

Just get this game on console if you really want to play it. ME3 is a good game, but has too many issues on PC running to be worth it.

Huge disappointment. Loved ME2. Story and characters are dull, gameplay is overcomplicated and boring. EA took the ME license and made another generic shooter out of it.

The game is a waste of money. I learned to be content with the version that I have on my playstation 3. The playstation 3 version may crash at some points but it runs consistently. It was running fine and all of a sudden it would not run. I have tried reinstalling the program and I tried verifying the data integrity and non of it worked. I will never purchase anything through EA origins ever. I cannot see how a company can sell products and do not offer support in case anything goes wrong. Mass effect 3 is a great game but this version is not good.

No matter how much they screwed up ME:Andromeda, Shepard's trilogy will always have a special place in my heart

+) Even with today's standard, the graphic are still pretty.
+) You don't need to replay your run in ME and ME2, there are a lot of save files in the internet with many different choices you can use and import.
+) Excellent voice actors and lovable characters.
+) Miranda ass-shots still exist in this version, oh yeah!
+) The N7 Digital Deluxe Edition includes The Extended Cut DLC, so it makes the endings a bit more acceptable; and also From the Ashes DLC, so you won't missed out on Javik, a character that's reaaaally important to the plot but EA still had the audacity not to put him in the base game.
+) You can feel how high the stakes are in the Reaper war.
+) A lot of amazing plot twists, provided you don't spoil yourself of the story.
+) Not everybody has a plot armor, so if you're not careful, a lot of your comrades will die. And that will makes you sad, because unlike MEA, you actually love the characters.
+) I love you, Liara.

-) You may need to tweak the .ini a little bit since even a new PC may experience a bad shadow and FPS-drop
-) The Insanity difficulty is a little easier compared to the previous game, especially with Infiltrator and Vanguard class.
-) The stupid star-child.
-) The base game+the complete DLCs prices are too expensive, especially with the remaster just around the corner. But don't pre-order, ever. It's EA.
-) Unfortunately, even with my active EA Play subscription, they still won't let me play Omega DLC and The CItadel DLC. Classic EA, shouldn't be surprised. But still, that pissed me off and naturally, I had to put a thumb down in my review.

I live the ME franchise and ME1 and ME2 were great, but ME3 is unable to be played. It actually worked for me the first time after installing, but the next time I tried to start it up, it wouldn't open. I've tried numerous times, but it won't reopen.

Also, while I was playing for that first session, I didn't like the mission tracking that it has. It's hard to keep them straight or to know where to go for them. In ME 1 & 2, your journal would tell you what your quests were and a general idea of where to look. But this one is less than helpful.

Good job EA and Origin, you wrecked another game. I have enjoyed all the Mass Effect games, but the stupid 3rd party overlays, logins, systems, etc. are really annoying. I don't WANT an EA account, I don't WANT to create a login, I don't WANT to store more passwords and run another program. What I WANT is to play the game I bought.

Here's a question for EA, do you want your customers to have feelings of anger and homicide every time they try to play one of your games? Do you want them to associate those feelings with your brand? No? Well then stop it already. Just let me play my game.

I have fought with this stupid game for almost an hour now: trying to get it installed, trying to get Origin installed, trying to get Origin to run, trying to log into my Origin account I was forced to create, trying to get the game to run, swearing at my screen, contemplating horrible things about EA. I STILL have not even been able to load the game. It won't even load the initial screen. I have never had this much trouble with games I buy on GOG. Issues like this really take the fun out of games and make me buy less on Steam and look elsewhere for my purchases.

You have been warned. Don't buy unless you enjoy being angry and frustrated.

If I can hack, crack, or otherwise patch the GAME I PAID FOR to make it play, I may give it another try, but for now I'm just angry and done.

Seriously don't waste your time and money on this. The origin overlay is compleatly and utterly broken and I can't play the game at all thanks to the origin overlay. It just can't connect to my origins account for whatever reason and it won't let me play the game at all. Either buy it directly on origin, wait for the remaster, or dust off the ol' pirate hat because this ''port'' is unexeptable. Also 9 years later they still haven't fixed the hud scaling on higher resolutions. Otherwise it's a 9/10 as long as you have 5000 military strength and choose the destroy ending. Loses 1 point for that edgy bastard Kai Leng and a few other minor issues.

You ever just fart while under a blanket to warm it up faster?

Mass Effect 3 is the final game in the Mass Effect trilogy. There’s one more after this, but I’m not going to play it. You play as Commander Shepard, first human Specter and intergalactic stud muffin. After sitting around and playing PlayStation for six months, Shepard is put on trial for a warcrime I happily committed.
But then the big space cuttlefish attack so that is kind of moot. The Space cuttlefish turn Vancouver into Vancouver after a Hockey game and Shepard escapes on the Normandy, but not before a kid blows up and he gets super sad. Remember this kid.
Because the game remembers.

ME3 is, uh, a game. Focusing even less on the RPG aspects than previous games, it honestly may as well had just removed experience entirely at this point and just had you pick a new ability after every mission or something like that.

Most side quests are gone, replaced with fetch quests that you just so happen to come across on priority missions. Sometimes you get to go to other planets, but those are also just scanner and fetch missions as well, you don't actually get to go down to the planets.

There are also side missions that are just trailers for the multiplayer mode. Also, there's a multiplayer mode now. Its not...Bad? But its not great either. It used to be mandatory to get a better outcome for the ending, but now less so. I found some people still playing, but at this point anyone still playing just kind of cleans house for you while you keep everyone company and provide emotional support. It got boring fast, and I'm glad I didn't have to drudge through it, for some people the multiplayer is to them what hamburger pizza is to me, but I don't get it.

There's also loot boxes. I don't know know WHY there are loot boxes, but they're there.
Wait, no, I actually do know why.

Honestly, I can see why so many people were mad at this game when it first came out. Mass Effect was kind of like a force of nature at the time, it was like a video game exclusive Star Trek in a way. The series was, and still sort of is, very important to a good number of people. But as former writers vanished and EA had more and more say, you can see the writing on the wall.

I did like the guns, and some of the interactions with your squad were fun, but for the most part, ME3 is pretty forgettable. But the problem is, if you're into the series you kind of need to play it to see the story to completion, even if you know whats coming at the end.

I'd recommend it if you're going for a marathon from ME1 to 3 like I did, but even then it was really starting to drag on me by the end.

But after playing all three Mass Effects in a row, which one do I prefer? Well, I actually really liked the first one, flaws and all, the other two felt like downgrades to me in the long run, or maybe I was just burning out on the series, I don't know.

I actually don't know how to end this review. So, uh.

Mass Effect 3 gets 5 dumb plot explanations out of 10.

There are roughly 170 million insects for every person on Earth.

I don't recall if Bioware had a decent track record after this.

Origin want you to online.
And you need to disable Origin In-Game layout, that available to read in Community Guide.
More Recommended to play using EA Play subscription.

PROS:
- The world of Mass Effect 3 is immersive. If you compare this game to its predecessors, this game's atmosphere and world takes the cake.
- A lot of the main cast have become more well-rounded. The character development of this game is not as good as 2's but still great.
- Main missions are amazing to play.
- Enemies (The ground troopers of the reapers) have great designs, and have a lot of variations. The other ground troopers (namely Cerberus troops) are also well-designed.
- Love interest conversations are better than 1 and 2.
- Combat has been overhauled and is a all-around great experience.
- Shepard is still a badass
- The fan service is there, but is implemented well.

CONS:
- The journal is a mess, most of the time the journal doesn't even help you find where you need to go.
- A lot of the NPC conversations will repeat after you've already heard it (especially on the Citadel)
- Ending is still a touchy subject.
- An early softlock is present
- A few game-breaking bugs made me reload a save or restart a mission.

DLC integration is easier than the previous titles, because the DLC for Mass Effect 3 is on the Steam store.

First time playing through this trilogy. Lots of little changes from the second game (heavy weapons, powers, scanning planets, an automatic fish feeder) which I thought were improvements 90% of the time.

Runs fine. I see lots of complaints about Origin, but seven minutes on the internet will tell you how to turn off the Origin launcher's interference with running games. Honestly, 70 hours later, I'd totally forgotten about the half hour I spent making tweaks.

Great game, however after playing over 25 hours with only minor Origin related issues (as origin is required to play ME3). The game will no longer launch due to an issue with Origin after an Origin update. This issue has lasted months with no attempt to resolve it by EA. As this is likely an issue with the Steam version of the game just buy ME3 on Origin and buy ME1 & ME2 on Steam as they do not require the dumpster fire that is Origin to run.

This is an utter failure when it comes to launching and playing.
Not only does it 'have' to have a connection to run, it also needs 'Origin' to run behind it, signed in and all. There is no legal way to bypass this, which in essence means a decrease in performance and experience of the game itself. So till this has been rectified in some way or another, I cannot recommend this game and it'd be be money better spent on another game.

I've only got 6 hours in the steam version. But I've beaten the entire series 4 times over and in particular ME3 4 times through and through, 3 times on the 360 and once on the PS3. ME3 is a great game. At the time the ending was initially controversial for long time fans, but bioware did fix it more or less with the extended cut. Bout the only real issue with the game. The game is an excellent third person action RPG with real player agency. With emphasis on the action and player agency. The combat in ME3 is incredibly fun and addictive and core reason to keep playing, in particular on insanity with a max'd out vanguard or the awesome and fun multiplayer that is still played to this very day. In fact, ME3's online mulitplayer is one of the best horde modes ever released for a third person action game. It's great. Your choices actually do majorly impact characters and the ability to either paragon or renegade certain key choices. Suffice it to say, Importing from game to game is ideal way to play. However... As I'm finding out now, the game is also pretty good for a new comer, as I didn't have an import shepard to start ME3 on steam. But ME3 is very accesible to a non import shepard and explains things in detail quite well. While my favorite game in the series, and one of my favorite games ever, is Mass Effect 2. ME3 is also among my favorites and a truly great gaming expiernce. If you like slick, cool, third persona shooters, indepth dialogue and player choice along with a great scifi lore and cool aliens and creatures, this game is for you. If you don't like those things. Then I guess it's a pass.

Also, I found a way to fix the games FPS drops. You just have to disable the origin overlay via origin. Once I did that I could play this game at 4K/60 with sweetfx reshade on a RTX 2080 super with no issues. Just disable the origin overlay and you're good to go.

I give Mass Effect a 9/10.

Recommended for anyone who likes a scifi setting, intense cool third person shooters, indepth dialogue wheel, BioWare writing and characters, true player agency, and horde mode multiplayer.

This is a good game that I come back to every year. It launched when I first got it, but now it doesn't even load. Contacted EA support, was pointed to steam support, then back in a circle to EA.

I'm trying to play through some of this in preparation for the Mass Effect Trilogy remastered but I just can't get into it, so many technical issues. Maybe play it on console? or just wait and pray that the Mass Effect trilogy remaster is top notch and launches on steam. I hope it truly lives up.

They make you pay for multiplayer DLC that was FREE on origin. The non-sale price is the same as it was 8.5 years ago. You still have to run origin in the background to play this. This is a lame cash grab.

As for content, the multiplayer is fun but you are losing out if you don't buy the DLC. Returning players will be happy to know that their arsenal unlocks from Origin are linked to your steam account. So if you had everything unlocked, it will be unlocked on the steam version too but only if you buy the DLC package.

I mean it is what it is, we all know Mass Effect. As far as a review I will say DO NOT buy the dlc bundle here. This game requires you to run it through the origin launcher anyways which has all the multiplayer DLC that is required to play with people FOR FREE! The games originally gave the DLC for free as well so Steam charging you is totally uncool. You can buy the base game here on a nice sale then don't waste any more of your hard earned money on the DLC that is supposed to be free.
The next thing I will mention, because it MUST run through the origin launcher this game does not work with family share, only the purchasing account will have access to it.

The ending to an incredible trilogy. Now, as of N7 Day (November 7, 2020) news has released that the entire trilogy is getting an HD remaster and will be coming in Spring 2021! Plus, a new Mass Effect game that will take place after the trilogy.

This game is a timeless classic. ATTENTION to get the game to start type in %PROGRAMDATA% in your windows search bar. Then find origin folder and then licenses and then delete everything in that folder. The game will launch if you do that.

The fact you can't even play with friends who don't have the DLC is absolutely bogus. With me being forced to use Origin, Origin minimizing my game if I'm messaged or invited, unable to play with friends who didn't cough up $30 for the DLC pack (Half of that pack was free when it first came out, go heck yourself EA, you scum.)

I cannot recommend this, as much as I adore ME3 and it's multiplayer.

A fabulous final installment of the Mass Effect trilogy. Having played both of the previous games, I will say that you need to play them all in order to get the full experience of the characters and the universe. Although it has been criticized for its ending, I actually found it touching, dramatic, and a fitting end to the series (I think that perhaps the previous installment's absolute masterpiece of an ending sequence set the bar too high for this game). My one complaint is that the EA Origin integration is just such a cumbersome bother.

I really can't put into words what the Mass Effect Trilogy really achieves but I will try.

The amount of AMBITION bioware had is ASTONISHING, they didn't create a world, they didn't create cities, they didn't conform to that, they created A WHOLE UNIVERSE.
A universe FILLED with lore, filled with interesting places, filled with different species, different cultures, whole different civilizations, different galaxies... I could go on for hours on what bioware really achieved with this series.

The scope of what they created is legendary and I really can't stress this enough:
They created a coherent universe, they didn't create a world, they created so much more, from scratch.

Mass effect universe building rivals Star Trek, this what bioware did, they created such a LIVELY universe that you can make that argument. Isn't that crazy? This series will live forever in my memory.

If you like rpg's you should do yourself a favour and pick this up right now.

Disclaimer: I have the original trilogy on origin and have over 500 hours on the series, even the achievements carried over from my EA sub.

play me1 and me2 first and then transfer your me2 save to me3, it's essential for playing the franchise properly. me3 is fantastic but there's a few things to note about the steam release, mainly that it also requires origin to be installed (like most ea games nowadays unfortunately).

another VERY important thing is that the game might not launch. this can be fixed by going to this file %PROGRAMDATA%Electronic ArtsEA ServicesLicense and deleting all files in it.

a lot of people were unhappy about the ending, so you might want to download the extended cut dlc to remedy that. still, this franchise is really worth playing.

Game is still pretty good 90% of the time, and is worth it for fans of ME1&2. Maybe just get the Origin version though. Or at least buy the product key from steam (if you'd prefer) and put it into origin. To much mucking around around to make sure everything is working right on steam, and it directs through origin anyway which can cause problems (same goes for ME2's dlc from what I've seen).

After a few texture mods and tweaks i really enjoyed this game and over all was a great series. just wish i hadn't waited for so long to play.

the game has a bug that makes it not launch EA and origins wont help they say steam is the issue. what a ripoff they can say what ever to get money off the customer and issue no refund. Do not buy this game you are paying for a icon on your desktop thats it :( poor business practice for sure

MASS EFFECT 3; a masterpiece in the form of a game. It was one of the most heart touching game for me. I mean the gameplay, story, characters , and the concept, all upto total satisfaction. I don’t know what others thought when they said that the ending was not at all good , but to me , it was the most suitable ending for the game. All those memorable moments of the game are something one never forgets. Just finished its campaign and its greatness, i again say that it was one of the greatest games i ever played. Love this game and would recommend all those gamers to play this at least once in their life.

No game has made me shed tears like this one.

I could give a more detailed review, but despite some questionable design choices and the last mission of the game, it is the best ending to a gaming trilogy that I have ever played. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will ultimately be glad that you played this series. Also, it has Steam achievements now.

The Citadel DLC is worth the bundle alone so it's a no-brainer that I recommend this game.

It's a good game, but it's eight years old but still has many bugs that have never been fixed. Just the same, EA charges full price for it. Your money would be better spent on a new game that's still supported.

Great game. However, I would only recommend if you want to deal with the Origin Account requirement for this game (as with all EA games). Primary reason I avoid EA games these days. Wouldn't be an issue if their games worked properly or if playing single player wasn't so tightly bound to being online. I only make an exception for this game because it's such a great game minus the bugs.

If there was a real life Umbrella Corp., it would definitely be EA.

Anyway, this is one of the best RPG experiences you will ever have if you manage to avoid any Origin related issues during at least your first play through. Do not skip any of the cinematics. It is probably one of the few games where the cinematics actually matter in order for you to really get the full experience.

I also recommend saving often as despite how old this game is, there are still some bugs that will force you to reload from an earlier save. Do not just rely on auto saves.

Honestly this game series is my favourite game series of all time. I just finished playing it and I cried, I laughed, I got angry, and it was all amazing. This game has great writing, it has wonderful characters, the combat it still great and the level designs are still wonderful. If you liked Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 you'll want this game and the DLC.
