Diese Spiel ist so scheiße wir brauchten 4 Third Party services um es zu laufen zu bringen dann ging es nicht mal online. wir haben 4 Stunden versucht es laufen zu bringen dieser PC Port ist ja sogar noch schlimmer als der Burnout Paradise Port

Tried to finish the game after a 6 month pause .... could not find my save game for some reason. Really frustrating.
It sucks that you need to spent hours to get it to run at all. Definitly one of those games that needs the remaster/remake treatment.
To the game itself: It has some nice ideas, but it controls like shit, really cheap console port. Story, graphics and music are average, atmosphere and artstyle are good.
Mainly due to the technical issues I would not recommend it.

Das Spiel funktioniert nicht mehr.

Ich habe das Spiel zwar starten können, aber es verlangt eine Anmeldung bei Windows Live, um einen vorhandenen Spielfortschritt zu speichern. Mein Versuch, mit dort anzumelden führte zu einem Absturz meines PC's.

Ohne Anmeldung kann ich es zwar spielen, aber ich werde es nicht an einem Stück durchspielen und so macht es keinen Spaß.

ACHTUNG DAS GAME LÄSST SICH NICHT STARTEN!

Da ich grade den ersten Teil durchgezockt hatte, wollte ich gleich mit dem zweiten weitermachen. Die Vorfreude war groß, jedoch konnte ich das Spiel nicht starten. Ich kam nur ins Startprogramm, weiter ging es nicht. Ich hab keine Ahnung ob es an Win10 oder GFWL liegt oder sonstwas. Aber das geht in der heutigen Zeit gar nicht. Man kann doch kein Game verkaufen, das sich nicht starten lässt! Das ist eine Frechheit, dass Steam sowas zulässt!

Played this game near constantly on the PS3. An awesome classic with an unforgettable gameplay style and story.

+ A LOT of customization

+ Everything is viable

+ Neat little mechanics and hidden details to find

+ Fun bosses and levels with some unique gimmicks

+ Music is fantastic

+ Story is decent

+ Coop is a blast

+ Unlockables are fun and rewarding to unlock, and there are plenty

+ Mech combat is smooth and satisfying

+ Effects and combat feel refined and impactful

+ Some small tech you can pull off, even more so in PVP

+ 3-3

+ AI PVP and AI coop with some hiccups

+ Perfect campaign length and (imo) very replayable

+ Custom characters show up in cutscenes, including coop buddies.

+ Combination attacks

+/- Massive nostalgia factor for me personally

- Mostly dead online community, requiring discord servers to meet some people sometimes

- According to friends, controls feel a bit clunky.

- Harder difficulties are mainly enemy hitpoint and damage tweaks, but don't feel much different from normal mode

- No more rush mode and DLC armor in the PC version. Unless there is a way to get these, then I would love to know, I kinda miss data post guy.

- Training mode sucks, especially for completionists

- GFWL may be a bother or complete detriment for some. I managed to get my game working flawlessly the first time around, but others have had some significant issues, especially with core counts and other issues. I can only advise to toy around with Special K, GFWL guides, or the dinput downloadable file in the discussions.

+/- Certain keybinds are a little strange, specifically action 1 and 2 tap and hold respectfully. It messes up some VS controls but overall not a bad control layout

- Absurd amount of noms (titles) to unlock. It truly is a completionist nightmare.

- Abilities are either pretty good or really bad. And there are multiple xp multiplying abilites, where only one is useful out of 5 or something like that. It's just useless ability filler that COULD be used for challenge runs.

+ Grapple could use a little extra range, but I am happy with it

+/- GJ meter is still a mystery to me over a decade later.

+/- I feel like there should be a little more QTEs in cutscenes, but again I am happy with what we do have

This game is fantastic, and it truly is a shame that Lost Planet 3 exists, or rather, doesn't exist in the minds of the fans. I wish rush was on PC, and I think I do miss data post guy. When they patch out GFWL, they better add that stuff in, especially the GOW characters.

(also where is the Monster Hunter x Lost Planet crossover Capcom?????? It would be so easy just use the akrid hunter armor and the Chryatis akrid or something.)

Now just so we are clear I played a whole lot of this game on Xbox and loved every second. however the Steam version here currently requires Games for Windows Live, however the service is long since discontinued which unfortunately makes the game currently unplayable. Capcom has mentioned looking into the issue however it is unclear when they will get around to fixing it.

I will happily remove this review once the game is playable and fixed but for now I cant recommend it.

I understand that the full game was created around GFWL, and that moving to Steamworks is no easy task.
But as understandable as it is, PLEASE CAPCOM, CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE US SOME UPDATE ON WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING? AT LEAST SHOW US THAT YOU LEFT THE JANITOR TO WORK ON THE GFWL REMOVAL

Works fine for me. Played this a lot in the PS3 days.

This is like Resident Evil and Monster Hunter but futuristic sci-fi.

Love the Mech combat as well as ground combat.

Reminds me a a bit of Pacific Rim with the Kaiju.

Some of the best entertainment in a Capcom title since RE5.

You have to jump though hopes just to play the game. Like disabling cores if you have more than 8 or the game wont start. They should really just remaster the game so that it works with new systems! After you get it to work the game will most likely crash because or newer software and hardware issues... don't buy this game until they fix these problems. Sad part is the this game is super fun!!!

At the moment widows live and having a cpu with more then or less then 4 cores keeps the game from starting up. it look like Capcom is fixing this and we will be able to play one of my childhood games again. i just hope they fix it. i will still recommend the game. you will be able to buy is soon as it is fixed. that is what Capcom said.

Since they finally made a post about GFWL, I thought I would write a review. LP2 is one, if not my favorite game, and if any dev reads this please don't let the game die. My dream outcome would be to have the ability to play with my friends without having to walk them through the long process of getting GFWL to work. This is a fantastic coop experience and a huge part of my childhood. It has it's problems of course but no game really compares to it. If this a sign of an LP4 please make the game like this one and not whatever LP3 was. If LP4 isn't on the horizon please make this game playable again and no solo only isn't good enough.

This is one of the biggest games of my childhood. I have played through the campaign literal hundreds of time on the PS3. I remember the old days playing multiplayer and getting friends together for co-op. The game was way ahead of its time with the introduction of countless unique mechanics and the surprisingly immersive visuals. Playing the game on PC takes a little patience since the game is old and no longer supported but its not impossible to play. I would recommend playing with a controller since the PC controls are a little awkward even after changing your binds. Even with a controller the gameplay may feel slightly sluggish than what you're usually used to but you may or may not get used to it. This game is mostly popular for the nostalgia and its replayability among those who played since launch. I don't feel like going too much in depth but for those that are new to the game, it is definitely worth giving a try; maybe if you still have an older gen console you can give it a try on there instead.

Once you get through the obnoxiousness that is games for windows live and can play the game, it's mostly great just like it was when I used to play on PS3. The port itself has some issues though. I played a lot more on the PS3 than I did on this version, but the game itself is the same. The levels are just as fun and the weapons are just as interesting, but it's slightly worse for the port. I'll summarize my thoughts here:

Pros

1. The game itself is quite fun in both single player and cooperative
2. The bosses are interesting to fight and some have multiple interesting ways to deal with them
3. The weapon variety is stellar and there are many fun and unique weapons to unlock. It's really fantastic in my opinion (especially considering when this came out) and really adds to the replayability
4. The abilities allow for a lot of different and specialized ways to play in combination with the weapon choices. This makes going back through levels, something you'll need to do to unlock everything and level up your characters for cosmetics, actually pretty fun.
5. The variety of the VS suits is hugely increased from the first game and they all have unique mechanics

Cons - most of these come down to the port itself, not the game

1. You have to jump through all the hoops of using games for windows live. There are other guides on how to do that, but it's obnoxious and EVEN IF YOU DO EVERYTHING RIGHT there is a chance you will be unable to play the game. This happened to a couple people I know and after doing everything the way I did it to get to play (including disabling cores and everything else) it was impossible for them to play, but they were able to refund without an issue.
2. You can customize the keys for your controls as a human, but the game seems to automatically generate the controls for the VS suits off of those. So I can change my controls around and it's fine, but then I get in a VS and they're wacked. For example say I change the base controls after playing a bit and get in a VS. The left weapon is like 'G' or something and the right one is right mouse. Or the grenade for the Bleed VS moves from my regular grenade hotkey to 'L' or something. I've been unable to find a way to keybind the VS controls independently of the human controls (I really looked when I started playing and didn't find a way then, but I could be wrong now if it was added or I somehow missed it).
3. Weapon and ability unlocks are mostly done through a slot machine where you use the credits you earn to spin. You can also get titles and emotes there, annoyingly instead of the things you actually want. There's no way to get most things outside of this RNG system which is bad design. Still, it's easy enough to get the credits to unlock anything and it's not microtransactioned so it's not the worst thing. Just annoying.
4. Games for windows live. Anything that still makes you use this is annoying, especially since it doesn't have cloud saving EVEN THOUGH THE GAME IS ON STEAM. It's so dumb I'm putting it here twice.

So yeah the game is great but the port is bad. If you get it to run after following guides on how to do so then go for it. It's a lot of fun.

I absolutely love this game. Always had since I originally owned a copy since its release on the PS3. I would recommend this game without a second thought for the game itself, however there are a few things to know before downloading this game: the player base is dying but those that are left definitely enjoy grouping up from my experience, it uses Gaming for Windows Live (GFWL) and I've had an issue trying to get it to work for the longest time, but the fix solution is in the discussions if one has problems with GFWL. 2nd: the game itself does crash on me after completing the 1st chaper of the game, forcing me to reset back to the last section of the 1st chapter. As much as I love this game it does come with its own set of issues but I would still recommend this for the replay value and nostalgia of one of Capcoms BEST and underrated titles.

sad to say but this game is completely useless as is. buying this on my xbox is infinitely more logical. the game even after all these fixes i tried refused to run. i had a similar issue with RE5's port but i was able to get that to work easily. fix yo stuff man. refunded this.

I played that game on my Xbox ages ago and LOVED it. Recently i downloaded it on Steam and looked forward to replaying it. Only the game doesn't work. It doesn't work or even load at all. I checked guides and workarounds but nothing happens no matter what i do.
Great job there Capcom. Glad to see you don't give the slightest care about making sure your games which you are selling to people can even boot up.

This game is a strange barely functioning old port from the era of Xbox 360 and also the secret hidden gem of the Lost Planet series. Running this game requires downloading an outdated version of Games for Windows Live and the setup literally takes about ten minutes just to get the initial login to work, but if you're willing to go through the gauntlet what awaits you is one of the finest games ever given to man.

There's bunch a things apparently you have to do in order to play this game, for instance bumping down your computer's cpu core and I'm not willing to do all that. The game can't be played and should be taken down or fixed. It's a real shame too because I really liked this game a lot and played the hell out of it when I was a kid.

Game is great. Overall its a 8/10 on gameplay alone but it drops to a 7/10 with crash issues.

People upset over GFWL which I can somewhat understand but if you just update it to the latest version which takes like 5 mins at most it will work completely fine. As of right now multiplayer still works 100% so you can play with friends.

Besides that there is some crashes which usually happens if you Alt-tab a lot but besides that its a pretty good port.

Saw all the reviews and figured I'd try anyways for 4 bucks. Ended up telling myself I'd spend 30 minutes tops TSing to see if I could get it to work, no dice. Changed install locations, limited cores, manually installed GFWL, ran in compatibility modes, DX9, DX11, no dice.

Unless you're really desperate to play, don't waste your time.

Lost Planet 2 has been one of those games I would play almost everyday as a kid and I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun time with a friend group. The only problem I see with the game atm is that it tends to break on launch like 100% of the time. What I would love to see from this game is a remaster but knowing the creators I doubt it would ever happen.

Overall: Amazing game, needs some stuff just to get it to work

You can get the game to run (2021-03-10).
The game is as fun as it ever was but I can not recommend it because of the steps you need to take to get it to play online. There is no telling when the workarounds will stop working entirely.

It doesn't handle more than ~12 threads so if you have more, like on a 8c/16t cpu, the easiest solution is to disable SMT in Ryzen Master or Hyperthreading on Intel. Otherwise it launches into a black screen or empty window.

There is a special version of GFWL that you need to install. I can't link it in a review. It's available in various guides. It's from the pcgamingwiki. When you install that and run the game it will work but require updates. Just accept them and let them update.

You can not use a Microsoft account that has 2FA (Microsoft authenticator app..). GFWL can't handle that.
If you originally used your CD Key on an account that now has 2FA you can either remove 2FA or get a new account and a new key.

There is a Discord for the Lost Planet games, that's your best bet to finding players. There is such a small population that stumbling into one in Matchmaking is .. tough.

Lost Planet 2 is great to play but annoying to set up because of windows live. Many users can't start the game and there are many guides to fix the game, but it's still broken for many users. There are many boss fights, the enemy design is strong and the game runs well. I didn't like the apparent consolization and the bad controls, but the latter was to be expected after having played 1 and 3.

2021 review of Lost Planet 2.

This is my all time favourite game. It was great when it came out and it's still great now. Why? You get to blast loads of monsters with guns. You fight enormous monsters that if they swallow you up, it's not game over. No sir, you fight them from the inside! Through the throat, down the intestines right to the centre of the stomach! You pilot enormous mechs and can attach massive shotguns, snipers, laser rifles or even rocket launchers to! As fir the vehicles there is a large array, you've got speeder bikes like in Star Wars, mehcs, and even a helicopter at one point!

However, this game is VERY difficult to get running in 2021 with a Windows 10 PC. Not impossible but difficult. You need an Xbox Live account and if you don't have one you can create one. (You only need the free version) You need to download Games for Windows Live Marketplace and very unhelpfully Microsoft no longer have on this website or store but I did manage to download it from another site. (Message me if you require help with the install) I also had to temporarily disable my firewall in the install process.

I mean it's kinda fun, but playing solo just isn't that great. Co-op is where the game truly shines, but unfortunately without GFWL multiplayer is a huge hassle to setup, not to mention how hard it is to get the game to actually run...

Its a bit of a hassle to get it running (i didn't any major problems besides downloading a specific version of game for windows live). But its worth it. The game isn't super active but u can find players doing co-op and there is a discord server dedicated on forming groups. The game itself is phenomenal and i highly recommend it if u put the time and effort to make it work on pc.

fantastic game specially in co op with friends, online still works but just getting this game to run is a pain, but if you have time and the patience to get it running then buy it and do it, its going to be worth it at the end. this game only runs with a cpu that has 8 core/16 threads or less, so if you have more than that disable some cores, just google how to do it. Also fallow this guide on how to get GFWL running so you can play it, worked for me. The video is for RE Operation Raccoon City but it works the same for this game just fallow the instruction in the video and it'll work.

One of the best party games way back in the old Xbox 360/PS3 days [strike] when Games For Windows: Live was still a thing [/strike], and I saw this on Steam and decided to pick it up to play this game again, only to find out there were more than a few caveats with the PC version of Lost Planet 2.

#1: The game just straight up REFUSES to play on PC's with CPU's over 4 cores. Sure, you can disable your extra cores, but who really wants to go out of their way in BIOS to disable half of their cores to play a game? I don't even wish to find out whether the game works on Windows 10 or not because of how old it is.

#2: Yes, the beaten-to-death GFWL thing people always say in comments is indeed true and the days of online multiplayer with this game are long gone since Capcom never gave enough of a fuck to packport their old IP's to Steamworks when GFWL and Gamespy kicked the bucket.

Sorry people, but this game pretty much needs to be given a hard pass or even enough poking at Capcom to do a remaster of this like they did with Resident Evil 2 and 3.

A great game that doesnt work...

First off the game didn't launch from steam, we had to launch it from the .exe and that doesn't work either - it took us a day to actually get the game to play....these steps include:
- Disabling your cores in msconfig (and hoping that they turn back on)
- Downloading some dodgy games for windows live client that may of been a scam? There was also a google drive version of this but that scared me too much
- Allowing the game through my firewall, along with almost everything else
- Making a windows live account, where I think I got hacked
- Finally once, you have done all of that you can play the game.

The first chapter was great!

The second chapter was incredibly racist...calling those dirty 'carpetbaggers' and when you couldn't experience the racism, you could experience constant crashes. Such as;
- Alt tabbing
- Lost windows live network connection - this is the reason why i'm writing this crap.........
- some completely random fatal error, where the solution may of been uninstalling your gpu drivers but no

And thats where we got to...after nearly 5 hours of gameplay and 2 days of figuring out how to get the game to run

It was alright I guess - worth £3

nope this didnt work for me.. it actually now messed up my street fighter cross tekken. worst part is, you cant get your money back. $5 well wasted.. i never had to work so hard to get a game running.. hats off to consoles for this.. Capcom games suck on PC always has problems.. thanks for giving me a task to do on my weekend as if working thought the week isnt enough.. i gotta play with this for multifple hours for a $5 game.. ugh capcom scewed us again.... loll
now when i try to use gamemarket.. it says i need windows assistant 5.7 and it wont install now i get a error opening up the market place.. nice this crap set me back 2 more steps... im done with this... ima ask steam for my money back or ima be out this .. ill just stick with origin and pirating games.. why pay for that dont work..

Underrated game and a great Co-Op adventure. For a long time it was unbeaten as one of the best mech games around, and with great boss battles to boot. But first of all I'm going to talk about the elephant in the room.

There's a lot of people complaining about Games for Windows Live being an issue, or about the game not running if it has more than 4 cores. I've had none of these issues. I can't solve the CPU problem, but in terms for GFWL (a complaint I see so often for some older games like this), there is an actual fix; That being, funnily enough, to install Games for Windows Live. Specifically, googling 'Games for Windows Live Marketplace' and downloading it will solve your issue. The game won't run properly without GFWL, so the solution is naturally to install it, even if it's core functionality is technically broken. This way, you'll be able to play with your friends online, instead of having to install sort of unofficial GFWL fix file that'll shut off your online connectivity completely and in my opinion, make the game far worse. People are reading the wrong information.

Aside from that, once you're actually playing with friends it's a blast. The competitive multiplayer is sadly dead, but it used to be a lot of fun. There's a lot of depth to this game that can only be achieved in Co-Op. The singleplayer experience is still a lot of fun, but it doesn't compare. The combat, the mech controls, the selection of guns, character customisation etc is great in this game. It's a great third person shooter that has aged pretty well outside the obvious problems listed above.

Absolutely recommend grabbing this game on sale just to be safe, but you can always refund if you have issues anyway. If you manage to get it working, you're sure to have lots of fun - and there's a lot of content and variety in this game to keep you occupied.

Lots of people say that this game doesnt work anymore, but as of 10/17/2020 i have gotten it to work. Great game and if you want the game and need to learn how to get it to work, go find my guide on how to do so. you dont need to make your computer use 4 cores and you are able to play on the latest version of windows 10 with your friends. I know all the other reviews say to not get it or good luck getting it to work but if you use my guide then you can get it to work. Worst case, you just refund the game. no harm done.

Hello people from the lost planet community I have figured, and solved the issue that many are complaining about the GFWL system for LP2. I did some research from youtube and i found a guy that can fix it for all of us, therefore i will leave a link to his video on how to fix this issue at the very bottom. After I followed his steps on fixing it, the game started to run and i was so happy to finally see the game and play it. The game works perfectly fine, and I love it dearly. Not sure why people have so much of a problem with this game. Windows Live hasnt been an issue for me or my friend that I play with at all like every single negative review claims. But this is an amazing game that still holds up even though it has terrible controls.

The game itself, is AMAZING. But the negative review is because good luck playing the game. You need a Games with Windows Live account to sign in, which is a dead service. You'll be spending a good 1-2 hours, maybe more, looking up various guides in order to simply play. Oh yeah, and did you buy two copies hoping to play with your friend? Forget it. After hours of fixing it for just me so I could finally connect with other players, my friend still could not connect and we tried so many different solutions over the course of a few days. Did I mention if you have an 8 core or more CPU the game won't start? You're gonna have to force your PC to only run on less than 8 cores whenever you feel like playing. When this game works, it's amazing; I played countless hours of it on the Xbox 360, but I simply cannot recommend this version.

This game was and still is very good for its age, I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a game play with another person too! I gotta say there is some troubleshooting to do before being able to play. but besides that the game runs smoothly and really well.
I 100% would like a remaster!!

Do not buy this game you need microsoft live to play it after getting a code when i 1st got it worked ok but then there was a glitch with the game where code comes un valid and after relog like 20 times my outlook email address got locked out and now i cant even get in to that now F knows why done account recovery and there Auto sytem says nope so screw microsoft full stop !!

Played this game on the 360 years ago and loved it. was really happy to see it on steam but i cant even get into the game, i just get a black screen and then it stops responding. i know there are work-arounds that people use to play the game by tweaking the bios but i don't think you should have to do that to play 1 game because i would have to go back and put the bios back to normal every time i wanted to play a different game.
had the game too long to get refunded.

Overall an improvement from the previous game except you need to do a bit more fixing to get it to run.
You will need to install Games for Windows client and limit your CPU core count to 6 if your system has more than 6 cores in it to get the game running at all.

and msconfig to limit the CPU count.

This game is an amazing game and the best in the series, despite my review of it I truly do enjoy and have played the game in the past, however this game has major issues because of it's connections to Games For Windows Live, I had followed multiple different methods to try and bypass or fix the issue at hand where it wouldn't let me launch the game without instantaneously crashing or to even let me open it however everything I had attempted had failed, to be fair I am running very modern hardware and not sure if that could be the cause of the issue since the game is an old port, however I would be careful buying this game, try it out and see if you can get it to run, if you can't i'd recommend to refund the game if you are unsuccessful as am I, unfortunately I'd rather not purchase a product and go through hours of troubleshooting to get it to work when it should work at the point of purchase.

In Summary, I recommend the game, if you can get it to work on your computer play it, if you can't return it.

I recommend only if you have someone to play with, community is dead as far as I've seen, the game is awesome but as a single player experience it feels somewhat incomplete. The story is one of the best co-op experiences i've ever played.

The game itself offers the same kind of fun as the first release of the series but there are some points that must be mentioned:
1) Little to non story at all (this game is pretty much a good co-op linear map kind of game as others we are already used to, like Left 4 Dead, RE:ORC, etc. It could be fun if you can add your friends into it, but utterly mediocre/ lame for a single player).
2) The maps are much more shorter than in the first game (you end up fighting through short instances until you fight a boss, there isn't much to explore or see).
3) The mechs are more lame than in the first game (they downgraded some of the mechs special functions, so they don't feel that special when you are using them against enemy units).

The thing that killed this game for me is the lack of story, playing as a generic mercenary fulfilling mission tasks without some sort of substance or meaning/motive is just boring as hell. I don't know why they didn't kept the structure they already had settled in the first game, this is just an example when you can't balance at all the wishes between an audience asking for SPs and another asking for MPs. 5/10

Once you check a guide and get all the GFWL stuff sorted out, it's a pretty fun game.
If it doesn't run for you after sorting out the GFWL stuff, you might need to go into your bios and disable cores because the game doesn't run on cpus with more than 6 cores.

Probably the game I have played the most out of any game ever, owned it on every system, completed it more times that I can count and I did it again as of the time of writing this review. Capcom, this is one of the best games from the xbox 360/ps3 era and what happened to lost planet 3 is criminal (well not really but it should be.) spark shouldnt have been at the helm, give keiji inafune the IP and let him be the head and lead the project. Nothing has come close to the feeling of this game and if he isnt behind the game, i dont think that anything will come close

I played LP2 all the way back when it came out in 2010, tell a lie... i played it months before it came out on a beta demo with a few friends and i loved the idea of 4 friends jumping on the head of a giant monster so much that i pre-ordered the game (i never pre-ordered anything)

I got the game loved every moment of it, got almost all the faction characters to level 99, Fortnite danced on graves of everyone i gun-sword slapped in multiplayer, beat the game of every difficulty then moved on to new games as you do.
But after all the years i would always think back to my time playing this game, was it pure nostalgia that made me think it was one of the greatest co-op games i had ever played or was it really that good?

Fast forward 10 years later and LP2 is on sale for pennies, only recently did i splash out on a tasty gaming rig and completely stopped console gaming almost entirely, but here was my chance to put my beloved LP2 to the test and see what all my hype was really!

After hours of trying to get the game to run i realised why the game had mixed reviews, turns out you have to go download games for windows live (windows version of xbox live) before the game could run, then after that my game would still not run and turns out my i9 had too many cores (can't have over 10 cores) and a 2010 game just could not comprehend how far technology had become and refused to start.

At this point i had no choice i had to go back and rebuild my old Pc (i7 has 8 cores) just so i could put this theory of mine to bed... so i did.

It wasn't nostalgia! the game is as good if not better than i remembered but it was just too ahead of it's time, before loot boxes was a paid for, before buying emotes and skins was a thing, before people wanted multiplayer content, before Fortnite had you searching for a 4th, LP2 did it all, but without extra charges!
unfortunately as you would imagine from a 10 year old gem, their isn't many people playing so i could only appreciate the Pvp against bots, but i did get to play through the whole campaign with a friend.

So before i end my very lengthy and only review i have ever done on steam, i would like to point out a few negatives to show i am not just an old fart blighted by nostalgia, the story is terrible and as i did 10 year ago i spent every cut scene talking over them, in true Japanese fashion the game is a grind, so if you want to fully customise your characters you will have to beat the game many times to open up the options and although the main focus of the game is large boss battles with crazy big set pieces, the back end of the game fails to deliver on what it did early on.

So in short!
+Great game
+Best co-op of last gen
+way ahead of it's time

-Poor story
-Pvp is now dead
LP3 was turned into an awful dead space clone because game critics hated on LP2 for being a multiplayer only game so r.i.p the LP3 i always dreamed of...

Greatest lost planet ever made.
A awesome CO-OP experience, of course the game might be a little clunky and weird sometimes (plus this horrible GFWL) , but you should really try it.

Capcom please revive it.

I 100% advise against getting the game. It was fun on the xbox for sure, but it is such a pain to get it to work that it is not worth messing with. I implore you not to waste your money on something you are liable to spend more time fixing than playing.

Once you get it working with gfwl, you can play online and everything with your friends however, its a pain in the neck
