True Colors hat keine Angst vor schockierenden Momenten. Es nutzt Themen wie Tod, Gewalt in der Familie, Krankheit und Schuld nicht nur als Gimmick, sondern gibt ihnen den nötigen Raum. Eine Lösung bietet es aber nicht immer - so wie das Leben eben auch nicht.

Das ist wohl meine aller erste Rezension und dass aus Gutem Grund es ist wohl weil mich die Ganze reihe von Life is Strange gefesselt hat auf allen ebenen Der Soundtrack die Geschichte und Entscheidungen.
ja es ist Vielleicht nicht der beste Teil aber Trotzdem noch verdammt gut ich kann mich nicht Beschweren es ist die Einzige Spiele reihe die mich Komplett in die Geschichte reinzieht bis jetzt es gab keinen Teil wo ich keine Tränen in den Augen hatte und das ist mir Wirklich noch nie bei einer Anderen Spiele Reihe Passiert ich Empfehle es jedem zu Spielen und ja auch für den Vollen Preis und vor allem zu Empfehlen ohne Videos oder Sonstiges gesehen zu haben.
Ich möchte mich bei den Ganzen Entwicklern Bedanken für dieses Wundervolle Spiel das einfach so gut Harmoniert und mich Gleichzeitig so bewegt dazu möchte ich mich Entschuldigen für jegliche Schreibfehler.
Ich hoffe ich kann mit dieser Rezension jemanden überzeugen dieses Wundervolle Spiel zu spielen und die Gleichen Erfahrungen zu machen wie ich das wäre alles was ich zu Sagen habe bis zum nächsten Life is Strange Teil.

Bereits wenn du dieses Spiel startest wirst du mit der schönsten Titelmusik und einem fantastischen Titelbildschirm empfangen. Die Story packt dich ab dem ersten Kapitel stark und zieht sich sehr spannend bis zum Ende durch. Meiner Meinung nach haben sie in diesem ''Life is Strange'' Titel sehr viele Neuerungen hinzugefügt, welche ''True Colors'' stark verbessern und es sich somit von den anderen Teilen abhebt.
Ich kann es euch wirklich nur empfehlen auszuprobieren!
Die Spielmechanik wurde ausgereift, die Story ist packend und die Musik wirst du noch Wochen später hören xD
Ich freue mich schon sehr auf das nächste ''Life is Srange'' Abenteuer!

Es nimmt uns mit auf eine Reise, in der wir erleben wie Empathie das Leben eines Menschen und der Menschen um ihn herum verändern kann. Alles in allem trifft LiS: True Colors perfekt, was Life is Strange zu Life is Strange macht.

Alex Chen fährt nach einer ordentlich verkorksten Kindheit im Waisenhaus nach Haven Springs, um sich dort ein neues Leben aufzubauen. Allerdings kommt es dort sehr schnell zu einem Unglück, das viel mehr mit der Stadt verwurzelt ist als es zuerst scheint. Alex begibt sich also auf Spurensuche, um der Sache auf den Grund zu gehen. Dabei hilft ihr ihre Fähigkeit, die Emotionen von anderen Menschen zu lesen, und somit in deren Gedanken einzutauchen und Dinge herauszufinden, die andere nicht wissen können.
Die ganze Geschichte ist wieder gespickt mit tollen Charakteren, einer schönen Welt und der einen oder anderen emotionaleren Stelle. So politisch wie noch im zweiten Teil geht es hier nicht zu.
Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Das Spiel macht wieder total süchtig..da die Story wieder sehr gut gemacht ist und es nie langweilig wird..die Charaktere wurden sehr gut umgesetzt und auch die Gefühlswelt wird wieder angesprochen..die Musik ist hervorragend..es macht einfach Spass es zu spielen..
Also wenn es in Zukunft weitere Teile geben sollte..werde ich mir diese auch kaufen..denn ich liebe diese Spiele einfach <3

Dennoch ist es ein sehr gutes Spiel und auch die Fähigkeit von Alex war überraschend interessant.
Leider etwas kurz, wenn man es so sieht, aber man kann es ja mehr als nur 1x durchspielen. Und dank der guten Story und den mehreren Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten ist das Spiel es wert, es mehr als nur 1x zu spielen.

Wegen dem Gameplay ? Nein!
Wegen der Grafik ? Ja... diese ist schön aber nein.
Es ist die Geschichten die in dieser Spielreihe geschrieben wird.
Bei LiS True Colors kam es häufiger vor das ich aus unerfindlichen Gründen weinend vor dem Computer saß.
Ich bleibe der Reihe treu.... naja solange meine Taschentücher reichen. :D

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
Ich bin überaus begeistert von Life is Strange: True Colors. Meine Erwartungen wurden um Längen übertroffen. Es ist nicht einfach, den Spieler in eine Welt eintauchen zu lassen, in welcher er emotional mitgerissen und integriert wird. Hier wurde dies perfekt erfüllt.
Alex, der weibliche Hauptcharakter, ist eine unglaubliche Persönlichkeit. Anfangs war ich sehr skeptisch, ob ich mit ihr charakterlich und emotional übereinstimmen würde, um mich so auf die Spielwelt einlassen zu können. Jedoch war ich überrascht, wie nah ich mich ihr fühlte und wie authentisch ich mich Selbst innerhalb ihrer Welt wiederfand. Ihre Entscheidungen sind allesamt sehr ausgewählt und auf den wesentlichen Punkt gebracht. Keine Entscheidung von ihr war abwegig oder wirkte fehl innerhalb ihres Charakterdesigns. Ihr ganzer Charakter ist unglaublich gut konzipiert, ich bin wirklich sehr überrascht.
Die Spielwelt, welche in Haven Springs stattfindet, ist ebenfalls wunderschön und nostalgisch heimisch. Die Bewohner sind allesamt sehr individuell. Alex wird sehr gut integriert in das Leben dort, keineswegs fühlt es sich dort fremd an. Es entsteht direkt ein Gefühl dafür, die Dinge ändern zu können und auch akzeptiert zu werden, wie man ist. Auch wenn einige Charaktere es einem schwer machen, man fühlt sich einfach aufgehoben dort.
Entscheidungen
Es war eher selten schwer, eine Entscheidung zu treffen. Für mich gab es menschlich korrekt betrachtet oft nur eine Auswahl, welche in Frage kam. Bei manchen Entscheidungen musste schnell reagiert werden, wirkte für mich aber eher fehl am Platz.
Optisches und Sound
Die Grafikqualität ist super. Die Farben sind sehr intensiv gewählt in dieser Spielwelt, teilweise wirkt dies unrealistisch und wie in einer Märchenwelt, aber es ist ja auch Life is Strange, da ist vieles außergewöhnlich. Der Sound ist super gewählt, ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Auswahl und einige der Songs sind durchaus bekannt. Die Musik unterstreicht das Spiel sehr gut.
Features
- Fokussieren auf Objekte und Personen, um sich mit dessen Aura zu verbinden und eine Hintergrundgeschichte zu erfahren
- Mal ein ganz anderes und sehr abwechslungsreiches Spielprinzip (in Kapitel 3)
- Das ändern der Barmusik, Auswahl aus verschiedenen Songs
- Das Outfit kann teilweise geändert werden (Outfits sind meiner Meinung nach nicht wirklich hübsch)
Ich werde nur einen Bezug zu den vorherigen Life is Strange Spielen herstellen, da dieses Spiel als einzelnes geschätzt werden muss: Es reißt den Spieler genauso mit, wie in LIS 1 und Before the Storm, meiner Meinung nach sogar noch mehr. Wer sich also fragt, ob es von der Tiefe der Story an vorherige Teile herankommt: JA! Eben auf seine eigene Art und Weise.
Mich hat das Spiel emotional sehr mitgenommen und einen Eindruck für mein Leben hinterlassen. Der Aspekt mit Empathie und Aura sehen, wurde super umgesetzt und ich bin so froh, dass dieses Konzept in das Spiel integriert wurden, es ist sehr schön und auch wichtig, das Thema in der Vordergrund zu bringen.

Einen negativ punkt sehe ich allerdings, für meine knapp 10 Stunden Spielzeit, die ich brauchte um das Game durch zu spielen, und ich habe mich getz nicht sonderlich beeilt finde ich knapp 60 Euro schon ziemlich happig.
Alles in Allem hat mich Life is Strange: True Colores sehr gut unterhalten.

The plot is paper thin, so when the super underwhelming finale kicks in you're just left wondering what exactly you have wasted your time doing for 4 whole episodes, especially since the entire middle chapter basically boils down to unnecessary fluff.
Most of the characters have about as much depth as a kiddie pool. There are at most two interactions with (not even main but side-) characters where I actually had some sort of emotional reaction. Throughout the rest of the game I was completely blank faced because the game barely gives you any reason to get invested in the lives of these people.
Despite my current playtime, the game is super short too. If I hadn't left it open over night, my playtime would be more than halved - and that is with me exploring any nook and cranny the game has to offer just so I wouldn't miss any of the optional content. Part of it is because, as I previously mentioned, the game doesn't really bother to develop its own plot. But I also think part of it is the fact that there are so few locations to explore, which leads to the player starting to make a beeline for the few 'hotspots' that keep on being relevant once they've gotten familiar with the scenery. When I first started the game I was surprised by how large and open the town seemed to be but quickly realized that you spend most of the game running up and down the same tiny portion of a street and maybe duck into a select few shops once or twice. Even the first game, which also took part in a small town, had a lot more variety in its (admittedly smaller) environments.
Speaking of the first game, lots of story beats are straight up lifted from LiS1 too but don't work even a fraction as well here because the central 'mystery' is so bland and the characters so one-note, so it simply ends up feeling like a cheap copy instead of a purposeful parallel.
It's also worth mentioning that, while outside of maybe LiS2's ending the series isn't exactly known for choices that completely warp the rest of your playthrough, TC is on a whole nother level when it comes to choices feeling pointless. While I don't think that linearity is necessarily a bad thing, this still might be something to keep in mind for potential buyers.
That being said, I should still give credit where it is due:
The environments that do exist look great and are very detailed. The game just looks beautiful in general and the character models have some super expressive facial animations.
Being able to 'mindread' and witness how the lives of some of the nameless NPCs develop was a really nice touch.
Even if I don't think the characters are sufficiently fleshed out, the moment to moment interactions with them can be very enjoyable if you're simply looking for some light hearted fun.
At the end of the day, it's not even like I hated my time with True Colors. I even kind of enjoyed myself for the first two episodes and, aside from the imho pretty shitty finale, thought the rest of it wasn't awful...
...but I'd argue that is an extremely low bar to clear and should not be used as a basis for whether a game is worth playing or not. Both time and money are limited in life, and while one might say that True Colors would only take up 8-10 hours of your time, I would argue that these 8-10 hours could be spent playing something that isn't this painfully average. The money aspect on the other hand is pretty clear cut to me: 60€ for this is a complete rip off. I thankfully got it on sale for 20.
If you're a sucker for story-driven games where you simply get to walk around, interact with people and watch the plot unfold and you have already played all the other well received titles in this genre then True Colors might be worth a purchase for you. At a discount that is. Even if it looks like something you'd enjoy, wait for a sale. 20 bucks tops.
As for everyone else, I'd sadly have to advise you to steer clear of this one.

I liked three things about it: that it looks great, that the main character is an adult for once and that you mostly stayed in the same location (unlike LiS 2).
BUT!
Your choices don't matter.
The decisions you make throughout the game can be insanely awful and the ending scene looks pretty much the same.
Not a lot of gameplay.
Walk around the town aimlessly. Help some random stranger. Talk to people. Hallucinate a little. Give us 60 bucks!
Boring power compared to Max and even Daniel. Inconsistent too.
They wanted to create something that felt like the first game, but they ended up releasing an empty shell of a game. They could've done a lot more here.
This really felt like a waste of time.

Overall its hella enjoyable, love the game. 100% worth your time and you will not regret it.
Also the game is way too over expensive for 5 chapters tho, so highly recommend ya to buy it on discount or play it on xbox game pass PC.

Step back: This game is not brave like the previous entries, which explored heavy issues like violence against woman, or racism. Dontnod wasn't involved so I guess we know where the risk-taking came from in previous entries. This game isn't scared of emotion which is good, but it is scared about offending people the way LiS 2 did.
Step forward: This game really nailed the ending in a way that previous entries didn't, at least in my playthrough. I won't spoil it but the climax was good, and the denouement was handled better than usual (which is one of my nitpicks with previous LiS games). The first episode was pretty good too.
Step back: the game takes place in one town, and reuses the same town space for the first four chapters. It's pretty big and open so you have to do a lot of running around, but not open in a sandboxy kind of way. It's still designed like a typical LiS game just with major encounters spread around. A lot of major decisions are easily missable because they're on the other side of the map from where the main action is taking place. It was just not engaging the way a linear story is; these games live and die on their story, and this experiment with the gameplay I think was a failure and I hope they don't repeat it.
Step forward: The game is so so beautiful. If you have a graphics card that can handle ray tracing, the lighting is amazing. The lip syncing and motion capture are great, and some of the visual sequences felt like something out of Psychonauts. They were very cool.
Step back: That said, I question some of the art direction. Previous games were very good about making spaces feel lived in, but in this one, interiors sometimes felt more like a museum, and outside felt like a theme park impression of a town. It all felt very over-the-top beautiful and fake.
Another step back: And they went all-in on the relationship aspect of the game, to the point where it felt like a dating simulator sometimes and the romantic elements overshadowed the main plot. The main plot actually got overshadowed by a lot of other things; the pacing was really weird, possibly because of the open design, or possibly because this story would fit better in three episodes than in five.
They kept up the quality in a bunch of areas that we've come to expect from LiS games. The characters are very well written and designed. The core group of main characters are all amazing and loveable, and the antagonists are fleshed out. They know how to write characters, and character driven stories, and they did very well here. The music was great as always.
Overall, I think this is the worst Life is Strange game, BUT, it's still a very good game and I recommend it. I hope they drop the open design and take more risks with the narrative in future games.

And now ... it's time for a new game in the Life is Strange universe.
Life is strange... and deceptive
This game is... different. There is no time travel here, no telekinesis, no supernatural powers...
...but there is something much more precious.
Empathy.

The game puts you in the role of Alex, a girl who comes to the small town of Haven Springs after many years to meet her long-lost older brother. Initially, everything is wonderful - a small town in a small valley between the mountains. An idyllic place full of wonderful people.
But, not long after, things get out of control - a tragedy occurs in a nearby mine where Alex loses her brother. And that is where the conspiracy that exists in the company responsible for the surrounding mines is learned.
The conspiracy is quite deep and it is learned that things are not idyllic at all in that company that wants to present itself as the main benefactor for society and the community. And here we now fall into a vicious circle of a small place where ordinary people have their dreams, desires and life problems.

But behind it all, you also realize what it's like to live in a difficult world... a world where you don't have a family, where you don't have sincere friends and where you don't have love. And that's where your soul comes to the scene... you, as someone with a difficult life story, understand others and know how much sincere feelings are worth.
You see the world collapsing, shattered like glass. And you know how sincere empathy is invaluable.

Stronger than anything
Playing this game I went through the same stages that my real life is through. I also didn't have my parents with me. Because of the war, I grew up in orphanage and I know perfectly well what kind of things in life you have to go through. I also know how life makes you raise your hand to yourself.
Because of all these things, I see that this story is an extremely real story. A story that may be from the real life.
And that's why I really appreciate this game. I appreciate it because it tells a story that can very well be true in today's world.
A story whose pictures speak more than a thousand words.
Life is strange... but it makes us move on stronger than anything.

Turns out, it really isn’t bad. Moreover, it’s actually pretty good.
Deck Nine really did manage to stir into the right direction just as everyone, myself included, decided that the ship is as good as sunken.
You are greeted by the colorful, vibrant visuals; both the breathtaking opened landscapes and the cute little streets of a small suburban town. Honestly, all the love, care, and attention to detail that went into creating Heaven Springs are visible from the very first hour of the game; the usually moderately boring choir of exploring every single interactable thing (don’t lie to yourself, it is somewhat dull sometimes) is actually pleasant in this game for the very reason of how aesthetic, welcoming, and satisfying the visuals are, including the interior design, where everything is exactly where it belongs and every single little thing seems to have its place.
Once you’ve somewhat accustomed to how incredibly pretty the town is, you’ll see that the facial animations are completely on par with it: sometimes a character will express their emotions by simply making a face and you will have no issues understanding what they meant. There is also an awful lot of looking: awkward glancing, confused blinking, eye darting, and trust me when I say this, you will read into it all perfectly because it is that good.
Characters in this game are also so incredibly compelling, simply by being carefully well-written and therefore easy to relate to. They are simple, but in a good way; understandable, with clear intentions and reasons for their actions, even the ‘bad’ ones. This is achieved, no matter by design or not, through Alex, who is supernaturally (duh) empathetic. However, it is not just a game mechanic - to explore other’s emotions - but an actual tool to understand and unravel the characters as Alex does so, together with her. And you only understand how much you as a player were in tandem with the main character after the end credits roll since while playing it was so seamless and natural.
The romance plotline is nothing but endearing, both available characters having their own, special chemistry with Alex. Ryan ended up being the only guy in so very long (since Alistair in DA: Origins, to be precise) that I’ve actually considered romancing. With no luck though, since Steph. Nuff said.
There’s not much I can tell about the story without spoiling it. It is slow-paced, focused heavily on emotion rather than action. But, with characters such as this game has, it was honestly more of an advantage; it was an absolute delight to explore them. There is a customary plot twist at the end, however, and to me it wasn’t obvious till the very last moment.
Music is, as always, woven into the story flawlessly, creating that same unique LIS universe atmosphere that was still present even in the second game. As usual, I will save the entire playlist and enjoy it long after I’ve finished the game.
You know what, I will even dare to tell you that this (in some instances) is a better game than the original LIS. There it is, I said it, sue me. Actually, wait, don’t sue me, just go give it a try.
It’s worth it, I promise.
