---
The addon was - like all the others - unfortunately much too short again. After 2,5 hours it went to the final and then it was over again. For the price of 8 Euro this is really too little.
Nevertheless I was happy to finally have something in the Questlog again, because KCD was just a great game.
Note to all, who get the addon: the fortune of the dealers resets. So sell everything you don't need before you install the addon.

You can decide what and how you want to do, and has a tons of stuff to play as you want.
Can’t wait KC2!
P.s.: you can play trough the game without killing anyone….it’s harder than it sounds.

Also some running around and more combat.
I strongly recommend leaving this for late-game action (after the Monastery quest) when everything slows down to a crawl and you're actually good at combat.
it helps to have Speech skills at the end.

Story and Content
In the DLC, Sir Radzig Kobyla requests Henry to assist Sir Kuno and his band of mercenaries in patrolling the province from bandits. In doing so, it introduces an intriguing backstory of Sir Radzig and Sir Kuno’s relationship and reveals an element of personal vulnerability in Sir Radzig, a new development in his character. Sir Kuno’s band has some really likeable members who thrive on value and honour, but there are some annoying characters who remind you that mercenary life is based on greed and blood, presenting a bit of juxtaposition in their motivations.
The DLC is focussed on combat and the plot is about figuring out who is causing continuous trouble in the province. Through this, it allows for some crime-like investigation by gathering clues. It also enables some really fun combat scenes that I found to be a highlight of the story. On the flipside, the DLC felt somewhat rushed and despite three hours of content, I thought there was room to expand and flesh out the story, but this nit-pick is probably because I really enjoyed the content.
Conclusion
Ultimately, Band of Bastards is a really good DLC, albeit one that was short. It provides a tight story and an intriguing backstory, whilst introduces Sir Kuno’s camp who most are likeable and honourable, while other members remind you why they are mercenaries first and foremost. For $8.50, I recommend this as a standalone purchase and in the Royal Edition.

This DLC is more combat-focused, as Henry is tasked with assisting a band of mercenaries on their mission. The characters are pretty interesting, and the quests have their own twists to make them interesting, including some worthwhile choices from a narrative standpoint. Also, some of the game's biggest battles can be found here.
The only major downside is that the AI's deficiencies shine as bright as the sun on a clear sky during those battles. It's a fairly decent DLC overall, but you have been warned.

As a massive KCD fan, I have to say, this DLC adds 0.3% of content to the game.
It's basically just several new quests, where you have to talk - go kill - come back - talk - go kill - come back - look around - go find - kill - come back - talk.
This was uninteresting and a waste of time for me. Women's lot (theresa's line) is 10 times more awesome

The walkthrough may take from about 2 hours if you rush it all the way to five if you're playing on hardcore without fast travel.
Being a fan of Battle Brothers, I was pleased to see the dirty bloody mercenary routine that game simulates through management, tactics and flavor text depicted in detail here. The wild geese chat, joke, discuss their craft - and all the little details and phrases are very appropriate: I particulalry liked how storming a bandit camp, one of the mercs starts having hiccups which greatly distresses him as he intended to bedazzle the foes with a roar. Naturally, it causes an avalanche of witticisms from his comrades. So mundane, not intended to be comedic, just another everyday situation.
What I like about Band of Bastards a lot is how everything about it is so banale. The actions that set events into motion are banale and are basically a cruel misunderstanding, all the plot movements are banale, all the motives are banale. And when characters die, their death is banale too. It's so believable and so refreshing after flashy personalities and complex motives of other games. As opposed to this banality, the characters themselves look anything but banale. Having unique faces drawn for them (except one for some reason), they create the kind of feeling you get when you arrive to a new working place. At first they are just strangers, rough and rude and unpleasant, but as you grow to know them, you learn what strange paths have brought them here together - and also that all of them are specialists in a certain way, and none of them are idiots.
Very well done. Haven't finished the other DLCs yet, but I think I will like this one the most of them.

The story of the DLC could've been much more interesting than it was. It's driven by conflict between Radzig and an old enemy of his, but Radzig hardly has any role in the DLC, and his old enemy only appears at the very end of the DLC. Instead the story mainly focuses on this merry band of mercenaries. The mercenaries are fine as characters, but they are so unrelated to the game that you just don't really care. The leader of the band is interesting enough, and Radzig basically abusing his debt of gratitude that results in his betrayal in the end was an unexpected. I also respect how the betrayal was handled. Radzig certainly hadn't been very generous to him, and his betrayal wasn't really personal with Henry. He wasn't made an antagonist, he just took a bribe and left.
The missions are also nothing to really get amazed by. It brings nothing new to the table. You get an investigation, a wild goose chase, a simple battle and the climax consists only of some dialogue and a duel. The missions almost felt like they recycled parts of the Neuhoff raid and the aftermath, with you having to investigate a crime scene, and later track down a man, and other than that, they are just battles. In short, the missions are pretty lame.
To capsulize, the DLC has uninventive and uninteresting missions. The story had potential that wasn't really used. The reason I got this DLC is because I knew that you can get a sweet looking armour set, especially a sweet looking hounskull bascinet after the final mission. I got this discounted for 2€, and it was worth it for just the armour set. I enjoyd the DLC more than I didn't, but most of my enjoyment came from the dialogue at the very start and the very end of the DLC, and also the new armour set it adds.
Not worth 6€, but if you can get it cheap, you might aswell. It's not repulsive, it's a fun enough rump and you get a sweet armour set from it.

Where the DLC falters is the scripting of its quests and the lack of options. At a few stages I was confounded and detached from the illusion the game otherwise establishes, such as the entire band suddenly disappearing from an outing and no dialogue taking place to acknowledge the players actions, giving the feeling that a whole segment of events had been skipped as the quest then progresses normally.

The only drawback of this was that I finished the whole DLC story in just a little over 3 hours. Pretty short, but still fun.
Maybe wait for a sale, if there are sales for this game's DLC? I'm not sure if it's worth $7 exactly, but definitely would be worth $3-5.
Overall Score: 7/10

That feeling of depth, however, quickly dissipated once I started doing the missions proper. The first mission was enjoyable—even though your control over the band is non-existent—and completing it seemed to develop your relation with the company further. During your second mission you seem to make some meaningful choices for your relation with the company... However, as soon as you get back to camp it turns out your did nothing that matters at all. From this point forward no meaningful development with the Band of Bastards occurs. Your choices simply do not matter—at all!
That is a shame, because the backstory (short as it is), provides ample opportunity to make your choices matter. Certain developments later in the DLC could easily be made contingent upon your choices in earlier missions and in camp. It doesn't help either that every speech or charisma check is laughably simple. As a result you never feel like you're in control and you simply follow the inevitable path laid out by the programmers. A path that is pretty short, mind you, and leads to (almost) the same ending regardless how you acted.
And that's another criticism. The DLC proper is short. Very short. Once you've extinguished the dialogue options and the side-activities (which takes about an hour or an hour-and-a-half), all you can do is go on missions. And back-to-back they take you about 2 hours to complete. Most of them consist of cutscenes, which—although generally beautifully orchestrated—deprive you as a player of any meaningful agency. At most you get to make a speech check after the cutscene to determine one out of two possible ways to progress the quest.
In other ways the DLC fails to deliver similarly. It would've been nice to give the player at least some control on how to use the company. Perhaps by hiring some of them as a henchman to take on a mission. Or perhaps by providing a radiant quest in which you can take the company on patrol yourself. While this might be hard to implement, and possible break several things in-game, it would've given the player so much more sense of purpose.
Instead, as it stands, we get possibly one of the best thought-out DLC's for Kingdom Come lore-wise, but gameplay-wise the DLC falls short. It's not bad, and during replays I will definitely return to Sir Kuno and his band of slightly-elevated footpads. However, it is a shame to see so much potential wasted. With some different design choices (and possibly more time in development) this DLC could've truly been great.

It mainly focuses on truth and honesty. Loyalty in a team.
This group is a bunch of really nice guys. Good fighting scenes and well written.
Has normal male type joke telling and humour round the camp fire.
I kind of bonded with them so it was sad it ended. I want more. :)
Really good atmosphere.
Recomended definately.
Tip dont do it in a hurry.
Make a save and reload to change the choices you made for what action to take as the outcome can vary.

If you love the base game, you'll definitely love this DLC. The only con I can give basically is that 2-3 hours of KCD for me feels like 10 minutes.
I'd recommend you getting this DLC. Not only are you getting more KCD content but you're also supporting the developers!

Firstly on one of the missions Jakey is invisible tied to a tree, took me a good 20 minutes to figure out, secondly the leader of the company only fights with his fists and lastly at the battle with the Zoul guy, at the end of the battle the company always keeps turning on me for some reason and tries to kill me.

Would I recommend the DLC? It's probably not worth individually. In a bundle with the Royale Edition it is an interesting side story that, unlike the rest of the game, puts the focus more on fights then on puzzles.
Pros:
+ Interesting side story
+ New Characters
+ No bugs noticed
Cons:
- Playing time short
- Characters superficial

Band of Bastards, however, functions as a long side mission which is very close to the main storyline, similar to the Dark Brotherhood questline from Elder Scrolls, or pretty much any side mission from Witcher. Your liege Sir Radzig has enlisted an old friend, an expat noble and his band of hired mercenaries, to help rid Bohemia of the many highwaymen plaguing the roadways and countrysides. There is also another, older nemesis...
You function as their guide, which introduces an interesting game mechanic that I highly recommend you explore for yourself.
The new armor set is a fine addition, the characters are interesting, and there are brand new battles/showdowns with around twenty combatants (it feels like a lot more when you're in it). I love the way battles are handled in this game.
Of course, there are a few quest bugs, but this time you'll have to genuinely go out of your way to attempt triggering them.
If you're avoiding this DLC because you felt like the others were too expensive and didn't give you very much, this is entirely a different situation.
