Man besorgt Geld, macht kleine Erledigungen usw

Town-Building
The town of Pribyslavitz is formerly owned by Sir Divish of Talmberg. As the new bailiff, your goal is to rebuild the town including stocking up the town’s finances, obtaining resources, and constructing new buildings through your Master Surveyor. You also need to manage citizens and address any issues, which adds an element of governing, but quickly can get tiring.
The DLC is designed to complement your playthrough of the main story because there is no linear storyline, like the other DLC, and buildings are costly and revenue is not generated immediately. Additionally, the DLC is integrated into the world of Kingdom Come, to a degree. You can convince refugees and other individuals to resettle in your town, providing you bonuses. I really like this element because Henry’s relationship with these individuals is carried across from the main game.
However, I felt it had potential to be more than its relatively limited scope. Sir Divish noted following completion of construction, you are able to expand Pribyslavitz into the countryside. This oddly does not occur considering it is noted regularly throughout the dialogue. Likewise, I would have visually liked to see the town be expanded with residential areas as you constructed buildings, as the majority of your population still lived in tents on the outskirts of the town.
Conclusion
This DLC is a very fun addition to Kingdom Come and provides a really cool element to the game through city-building and management. I think, however, there is potential to expand on this concept by incorporating society-building (i.e., more personality to the town) and reflecting a growth in industry and residential areas (e.g., farms) as you develop your city. For $8.50, I recommend this as a standalone purchase and part of the Royal Edition, as it provides an extra dynamic as you play the main game.

This DLC offers you the opportunity to coordinate the rebuilding of a village you capture during the main story's events. The idea is neat, but the execution makes it kinda uninteresting.
For one, it's a huge money sink. You need roughly 100K Groschens to fully build it, which compared to the roughly 10K you need for the best weapons + armor, makes it seem absurd. Which really is considering the rewards are mostly irrelevant by the point of the game where you can afford to spend 100K. The only worthwhile reward is the unique selection of horses which are superior to all from the base game. Additionally, it has a stupid restriction where you have to choose between certain buildings, but the choice is kinda pointless since one option is clearly better than the other in both instances where this happens
Do not buy this for the full price on its own. If you can get it with the Royal Edition, especially when its discounted, its fine.

Only get it as part of the Royal Package on sale when you really don't know what to do with your Groschen anymore.

it intergrates alot of the named people around the world so you can get them to work for you.
it gives you a real place to live where you are boss.
it gives you judgement quest and some additional quest wich is fun to do.
and ofc above all, building up a town is always fun.

Spend a wad of cash to build an underpowered city with lots of space but sans half the buildings you'd want a city to have - at the ass of the map.
If you already have the cash, you're done in about one or two hours, but that's still a waste of time and money.
You don't even get your own house, or any other bonus besides cash flow from the city, with an ROI of about 50 ingame days.
Lame.

In the DLC, you can build and you can judge as a baillif, but none of the tasks have any importance to the game. The village finally generates money (after having spent 20k on it already), but there's nothing you can do with that amount of money anyways. By the time the village is finished, the game is already over.
I'm especially recommending against buying this if you're playing on hardcore. It is just a waste of travel time.

I have finished the rebuilding process, I have not yet finished the main story. I do not know for certain, but I think that it may be so that there is more to do in Pribyslawitz after the main story is complete, or at least after a certain point in it. I hope there is, but even if there isn't, I loved this DLC. My fiance can, perhaps a bit frustratedly, attest to the fact that I was rather passionate about this DLC. FIrstly I just enjoyed being in the area where Henry had his baptism by fire, where he had initially scouted the area and then had his first proper stand-off with Runt in the end. Secondly, it was nice to see some order come out of chaos, to see the overgrown forest that had enveloped much of Privyslawitz be turned to land in which buildings can rise in which people can work and live. Thirdly, and this is more personal, I seem to really enjoy doing things that provide people with improved living conditions.
I think I first really noticed it with FallOut 4, where you can obtain settlements, set up defences, make structures in which to put beds, establish places of trade, etc. People looking for some civility, for a place to call home, a place that is safer than where they were, a place where they can make some money and live their lives, I love to provide it even if it's to mere NPC's. Doing my part to rebuild this town, it gave me that sensation, and the whole 'judge' portion of it, it made me feel like I had more impact on the personal lives of people. I try to make the best decision I can, even if not everyone will be happy with it. So if you at all similarly find that you like to provide people with a reasonably safe place to live where they can work and support themselves, to pursue their own happiness, then this is a solid DLC to grab.
One final personal point, I bought KC:D on special for something like $18 Canadian, and it didn't take long for me to start feeling guilty that I got it so cheap. I knew I had to buy the DLC, and so one day not long ago I got a bundle for the DLC for about $23. Even if the DLC ended up being trash, I would still be glad to have spent the money, and already this DLC has made me feel like the $40+ was worth it. I want to support them more, I should look into if they have a Patreon or something, because I have fallen in love with this game and DEARLY HOPE that they will continue to develop these beautiful, detailed, story-rich, character-rich historic videogames. God bless, and bloody Hell do I need to someday travel to these parts of the Czech Republic. One final side-note, for anyone even remotely interested in firearms, look into Czech firearms. For the past century or so, they have come out with some SERIOUSLY impressive stuff, including the LMG design that the British chose to provide the foundations of their BREN LMG which likewise served Canada very well for years, including in the Korean War. Particularly the Battle of Kapyong comes to mind, but I digress. I definitely recommend this DLC, whether you have that inherent interest that I do in improving lives, or if you have tens of thousands of Groschen that you're not really doing anything with. Trust me, if economic gain is your goal, it'll be worth it in the long term. Take care.

It is possible to finish this DLC in 15-25 minutes if you have enough money, at least 80 000 grochens. All you get is extra money, which you have no need for. Because you got best gear, loot, and enough money for repairs. I would not bother with it if you have not enough money or too busy irl.

The city you get is very relaxing and pretty, you can't really expect more out of the city building concept than what you do, I disagree with those who complain about the limited options. You're only missing a couple of types of shops, but you gotta think.. you don't get a town the size of rattay. It's smaller than Neuhof.
4 achievements attached, three can you get if you full build, get all unique vendors (some missable depending on your choices in the story line), and doing the right judgments. One achievement that's quite literally a bait to make you replay the game, blehhh.
I would buy this for sure if you're deciding which one to get.

Considering that the DLC is pretty cheap, I think the amount of content is worth it. You can't expect to pay CDN 6.69 and get a full-blown village building simulator anyways.

you dont even get your own room, sleep with the maid bitch, no bathhouse? you have to choose 2 out of 4 buildings when there is plenty of space for all of them? where does everyone live?
Don't even get to rebuild Skalitz, just some crappy village of no relevance, and when it's done it's completely useless, can't even get a mill with a theif miller
you don't need the money,
you will finish building the village and never visit it again, can't even ask your girl to live with you.
And Jesus Christ, no option to make the church LESS UGLY?
It's the centrepiece of the village, because its an eyesore for miles around.

I haven't felt this kind of ownership since Monteriggioni in Assassin's Creed II. This content is absolutely wonderful and I adore it. Watching your settlement grow in real time and observing the NPCs living out their lives is such a rewarding pleasure, and it gave me more motivation to continue doing sidequests and amassing wealth. I think the folks who were dissatisfied with this were expecting something like a settlement builder which Fallout 4 features, however I'm much happier having things more rigid like this expansion, if it avoids the jank and tedium present in games like Fallout 4.
Wonderful DLC; highly recommended.

- You can't choose where to place a building
- Very little upgrade options
- You need lots of money to start, unless you're really good at managing money/building
- All village problem caused and solved by money
From the Ashes have potential to be amazing DLC and even spin-off game, but it became half-assed DLC. If you don't mind the limitation, you might enjoy the game though.

Can you dictate who lives there? Sort of but mostly no.
Can you have your own crest? No.
Do you get recognition? Also no.
But you must be wondering, what CAN you do?
Well with this DLC you can:
-Get ripped off blind by merchants.
-Be broke all the time.
-Steal stuff from your own village to cover the upkeep.
-Decide laws while completely shitfaced on moonshine.
-Force people to crap 150 paces downstream while being completed nude while making the law.
-Lose all your money investing in a tavern, losing at dice and steal everything just out of drunken spite.
-Force the baker to make black bread instead of normal bread just to save 5 Groschen that would be better spent on booze.
-Call someone's daughter a whore and demand a cow as compensation. Bonus points if your horse is in frame of the conversation.
-Fail the DLC mission and permanently lose your ruling power because you were too busy drinking yourself into a stupor and not spending enough time getting the village out of deep debt.
-Become a disappointment in the eyes of Sir. Divish.
-Be so devastated for Sir. Divish not liking you that you raid Talmberg's pantry and eat stolen cheese in the corner.

It's definitely a cash sink though, the buildings mostly cost thousands. Once you've build the town up though you'll recover it all and then some with an indefinite cash flow of ~2k coins a day.

The quick verdict is: it's not!
The longer version: From the ashes is a DLC where you get to rebuild one of the ruined villages in Kingdom Come. I expected the building mode to be something like Sims city where you decide where you build the buildings, or at least where you can build huge castles and walls, upgrades, defend your castle, etc.
Unfortunately From The Ashes is an opportunity missed... (putting it lightly). It is basically a waste money and time simulator; you don't get to choose where buildings get build (pre-allocated), your village will look extremely basic, and no further expansion capabilities past a certain point. What's more is that after you 'rebuild' the village (the church - even though it is still made out of wood and being held up by support pillars - which they consider perfect condition) your King (his name escapes me) comes in and refers to further expansion possibilities, but you don't get to see any of it, nor do you get to do anything else... A huge teaser and let down!!! You will waste a few hours on this DLC, dropping huge amounts of money into the village and end up with something you can't be proud of and will never visit again later in the game. The DLC also mentions that you will have to solve conflicts within the village... not true, the conflict will arise if you don't have enough money for the upkeep, which is immediately resolved when you put more money in the chest.
Note to Developers; The idea was good but you rushed it... and ruined it. I understand building like Sims City is near impossible in the game, however allowing for huge expansion capabilities (fortress building, walls, armies, actual upkeep, etc.) moreover; create some quests (for example; attacks against your city, ruling as a king, taking over the land, etc.). Although the price I paid for this DLC is fair, the developers could have made so much more and received much more positive feedback if you allowed for more freedom and experienced actual 'kingdom ruling' experience. Personally, if all the above was in the DLC I would have been willing to pay $60 for it.
