UNDERRATED GEM
Killsquad is definitely a great game! The combat is the main part and the best part! If action packed, fast and smooth combat is your thing then you can't go wrong with this game! It may start off slow but at least once you reach the Veteran contracts you may start sweating because this game is not casual! You can play it casually but its definitely challenging!
Positive:
+ Super satisfying combat
+ Every Class plays differently
+ No useless skills or stats
+ Solo playable but definitely more fun with a Kill-squad!
+ No Ingame shop! Earn your stuff!
Neutral:
+/- I got stuck 1x in 19 hours playtime and i saw one teammate get stuck 1x but he could free himself. Its nasty but happens very rarely. Early access but its quite polished!
+/- The unlockable skins are not very interesting so far. I don't really mind because the game is isometric anyways
Negativ:
- I find the music lacks a bit. It could need more action!
- There is not much map variety right now
-----------------------------------------------------------
Overall Killsquad is a great game and i am happy with it and you can tell that the devs are taking good care of their game which is always a good sign!

When it doesn't fucking crash.
The game crashes every so often and absolutely kills the fun. I'd say roughly 1 of the past 4 hours of gameplay I have had got completely wiped out because the client crashed for seemingly no reason and I lose 10-15min of time. The first couple crashes were not too upsetting. But when the game starts getting really hard and you finally get close to beating a level that you had failed before, and instead of beating it, you lose to the CRASH boss.
I've decided enough is enough and I'm moving on. I've seen enough reviews like mine to know that this is just a symptom of the game but I'm not wasting my time. Very sad that these developers built a great game but couldn't see it to the end.

I bought this on release and pushed to v100 but figured I'd hold off on the grind until improvements and future content released. I'd seen a lot of updates and changes and figured it was worth exploring... Very little has changed.
The lighting is headache inducing, worse on lower graphical settings, the bugs are still run enders and given how long some of the missions take its not fun throwing away dota level time investment. Oh did I mention the crashes during boss fights after spending 20-30 minutes getting there?
That said, I continue to want to push to end game. The items and equips are interesting and where the combat isnt buggy and you take into account being away from walls so enemies can't box you in, it feels ok.
The recent price increase for content should have taken into account the glitching, bugs and all the improvements that they didnt fix and add - Wherein there shouldn't have been one.
Don't bother with this unless its 80% or more off but even then... it's time you will never get back

The UI is awful and make you spend a lot more time in the menus than it should.
There is no sense of progression except from your vector, which correspond to the average level of your equipment : you don't hit the monsters harder, and they can still quickly kill you if you don't pay attention.
The grind is so goddamn awful you'll end up cheating, as it will take more time to get to the highest level than go through WoW and its expansions.
The sounds effets / soundtracks are average, but the memeing banter of your toons will test your patience.
This game isn't worth it at full price, but in a bundle ? Well, if you don't have anything else to play.

Too grindy. The duel gunner is OP. Play Helldivers instead, or if you want something free, Space Punks!
*SPOILER?* Story sucks, ending is like... that's it?
I kinda like the MOBA type of progression per run though.
Not recommended for its base price.

As advertised, it's a session based hack-n-slash. You could complete a mission in 10-15 minutes if you wanted, or take a little more time and poke around all the corners for extra drops. All of the characters play differently, and each come with their own skill set and skill tree. The tree is designed to enhance your skills (3 baseline, a dash/dodge, and an 'Ultimate' that you select from 2 choices). Over the course of each mission, you level up from 1 to 10 while mowing down enemies, with the skill enhancements you chose activating on even levels (you'll usually spend about half the mission at level 10 with your full compliment). You're able to freely swap between characters before starting a mission, but they all have their own separate pool of equipment outside of consumables and talismans.
You could probably breeze through it only playing each mission once or twice, but what game isn't that true of? If you like the gameplay; you'll have reasons to repeat missions and grind, or just enjoy mowing down hordes of enemies! Smashing a big group with a well placed skill and watching everything rag-doll away is pretty satisfying! Currently have about 16 hours in, and I'll probably see at least 40-50 going through it with a few different characters; not bad for 20$

1. Potentially, i has a great battle system, except damage u dealt depends on rock-paper system. Uve got nearly 5 type of damage: kinetic, toxic, fore and so on. Enemies are too could be vulnerable to one or 2 of it and protected from 1 or 2 of it. And that could be ok, coz game tell u before mission start what type of damage u need and whic u dont. But its not working, coz game could tell u that kinetic damage is preferable on this mission, but its preferable only against last boss. And main enemies will be vvulnerable to fire. And that problem could ok, but u cant change ur weapon in the mission. So u need to store 1 weapon of each damage type, but u cant change it during the mission. Yes, u can take 2 weapons before mission, but if u new to this game - u will suck, coz u dont know which enemies wiil be on mission.
2. Interface and interaction with it are totally console shit. Its not intuitive to PC players. Some windows in this game could be closed by esc, some of them - not. Go and investigate which is which. For example, u can press Tab to see ur stats, but u cant close this window by pressing ESC, u need to press Tab. Also, u cant equip items by grabbing it. U need to choose item, then press equip button, then press slot to equip. There are 100 of such moments.
3. Bosses are very tough, if u play in team. But if u playing solo - they are easy as piss. So, why u should play with others? Idk. I killed the boss in 1 minute by playing solo, but when i played with 1 more player, it takes like 5-6 minute to kill him.
But still i recommend u to by this fame. It has much fun and interesting gameplay than helldivers. I like this one very much

The controller (wired Xbox 360) is all that is needed during missions/contracts and is very well supported. But before I could use it, I had to go in Steam's Big Picture Mode to enable it for the game. The control scheme is original: no need to press a button to shoot in a direction, just use the R-stick.
Before playing, the user interface is however confusing to use, and seriously at that stage, the mouse is so much better to use than the controller.
The game loads quickly and does NOT require a SSD.
---
The gameplay is very pleasant in general. It is exceptionally satisfying when getting to the right position and using an AOE weapon to kill several mobs at once. Skills and reflexes matter. This is a very responsive twin-stick shooter, but not a bullet-hell. I know shooters that have the bad idea to limit ammo, but not this one. There are also some RPG elements and it's possible to choose between different weapons.
In the starting biome, the art-style and color scheme is a bit surprising; the vegetation is definitively not earthly. But it's fine. Graphics are very smooth (Nvidia 1060 6GB).
The game is fairly linear (which is good as I want to have fun rather than having to travel or find my way) but lacks a minimap anyway to be sure everything was explored. The map for each contract stays the same, so I suppose that a minimap would be useful only for the first couple of runs. What changes with each run however is the position of resources that can be harvested, as well as a vendor.
I like the fact it's possible to choose between different contracts to progress further in the game, and that rewards are known in advance.
During a contract, if something more important than gaming gets in the way, progress is NOT saved. But as contracts appear to be fairly short (10-15 minutes?), re-attempting a contract is actually not a chore. Failing to kill a boss returns the character just before the boss; kudos for being considerate of my time!
There are 156 achievements, and they seem diverse in nature. Around 10% of them requires co-op. For a low budget game with limited marketing, I doubt there will be many players online in 2-month time. I forecast that just like with SkyForce Anniversary, people will have to find others through the game's forum. But it's doable.
---
Killsquad doesn't have an AAA look, it doesn't have an AAA marketing, but it is cleverly designed and extremely pleasant to play. Gameplay is key in this kind of games, and they nailed it! It is hard to put down; my first session lasted 45 minutes (which is a lot for me), and my second nearly 1 hour. It's a very satisfying game to play and a great way to unwind at the end of the day.
Happy!

TLDR
It's just alright. Nice coat of paint, responsive combat system, depth of a puddle with a carrot-on-a-stick that's got a short stick.
It's a decent romp for a group of people for 10-15hrs before it starts feeling really repetitive. Pick it up on a sale if you have friends.
The Ramble
The game looks colorful and everything from models to animations look and feel really good. The sound is functional but nothing spectacular. Controls are reponsive and snappy leading to pretty smooth combat on both controller and mouse and keyboard.
The skill system makes each character feel very unique and resets every level (contract) for different builds (in theory). Sadly the skill tree is too shallow and simplistic for real build variety and the skill choices end up just being 'x is strictly better than y in most cases' so each character just ends up with a single build outside of very specific cases. Since the skills are the part that changes how a character feels the most, the shallow nature of it really cuts the legs out from underneath the game.
Another issue with the skill system is the player has to collect skill points in order to unlock the short little tree but once allocated, there doesn't seem to be a way to respec so a player can get stuck in the early game with some poop skills leading to a less fun experience. Take for example, Troy, dual wielding pew pew robutt with hat. A player who spends most their early skill points unlocking gravity shot and bumping up their dash when compared to one who upgrades the 'high noon' pew pews and 'gunkata whirlwind of pews' would have two very different experiences. (Gravity shot feels like poop in comparison but that's personal opinion). A player who makes a choice and finds it's not for them can't go back and have a do over and if their friends are not on, trying to solo with a sub-par build can get quite difficult early on.
The other part of character customization that affects gameplay are the weapons and gadgets. These add very minor changes to the character adding some procs to weapons or increasing damage. For the most part they just feel like stat adjustments and rarely change the feel of a character.
Cosmetics earnable in game and look pretty cool. No cash shop for these things is refreshing nowadays. Thumbs up.
The game does not have a large enough population to support quick match ups consistently. Yes you can join a Discord server and find like-minded people and organize there but it really feels like a game for a small group of friends to full be enjoyable consistently.
If you want a coop game with a small group of up to 4 friends, it's good. Else, it's just okay.

+jolly cooperation in full glory.
+character diversity is very good for a small roster (5 heroes with distinctive roles).
+LOTS of things to do regarding contracts, leveling, quests, loots and character customization. The game is packed with content and lots of cool ideas and variety for its missions.
+cool visuals and character design.
-performance is kinda weird atm, It's not game breaking, but it's there. I see my GPU usage jumping a lot between 30% to 60% just by navigating the menus and lots of minor (2 to 3 fps) drops during combat. I've read on the Steam forums that the devs are still ironing out this aspect and they want to focus on content first (which sounds good imo).
-characters voices sounds weird, I can't tell if it's just bad mixing or the VAs, no offense to the devs but they sound like placeholder voices to me.
-no local co-op (I think this could be a nightmare to implement bc of how much stuff you can manage / customize with each character, which is kinda understandable, but it would be dope if this game had couch co-op).
-it feels like the gamepad implementation for the UI could be better, the moving cursor feels very slow and sometimes it feels confusing to navigate.
overall this game is mad fun and it feels great to play with other people and I think the negative points that I've mentioned don't take that much away from the experience, and tbh I think those negatives could possibly be fixed in the future.

The characters mostly don't feel very good, and the leveling system is really confused and confining. The game is grindy, and while you can sort of enjoy using it as a vehicle to have fun with a friend, it's hard to ignore how repetitive and uninteresting play is.
There aren't many games of this sort, so it's a shame to see one handled so poorly.

Even a classic moba is more fast paced and action oriented, its tragic.
Another very annoying aspect is how the maps are designed. Often you unecessarily run around empty spots, that just function as filler. Many times this even gets worse due to not being sure where to find the door, which justs delays your next fight and thus actual gameplay even more.
Also, as another review has said, only being able to find and swap equipment/weapons after a raid/outside of a game, takes away the last piece that usually makes this genre exciting.
When games are described with names of popular ones (like here, Diablo and Destiny), it implies that they combine the best of these worlds into a great game. Killsquad definetely does not.
Unless they increase the pace of the game, add a clear map or better orientation and re-design the loot and weapon system, there is honestly nothing to recommend about this game.

Kill Squad is a Top down Beat em up coop shooter RPG game
, it's been development like 2,3 years yet still on early access til now.The Good :
- Fun combat
- Good character design
- High enemies density so the combat wouldn't get stale and boring ( but also a con and we will talk about that later )
- Each characters have their own unique way to play and lots of build ( there are also a con as well )
- Fun with friends and can coop as a party of 4
- Do give me some RoR vive mixed with Hell Diver but on short term
The Con :
- Repetitive on Mission layout , enemies and Maps ( same map but different Objectives that would get boring really quick especially at the mid-endgame )
- Although it is a fun combat system and play style but the skill tree still set up low and restrict due to the limited skill point ( need adjustment or more cap on skill points )
- Difficulties is lack buster due to repetitive gameplay and less variant of monsters to fight for
- Map Design need to be overhaul and rework ( because i'm just playing the same map layout every bloody time and that's really put me off , because of that i feel the way of the game design really lazy )
- Voice acting doesn't give me much impact ( not bad but just stale with some lame joke - the Abomination mission voice line as a example )
My Though :
-It definitely a fun game with friends and also lots of content has been update around 2-3 years from start to the endgame would hook you up for a while despite some flaws and bugs recently. Me and my friends has been looking to it for a while but due to mixed reviews on steam that we step back and wait for update log until now that we finally give it a try , the game was actually good ngl.
- Some ideas and advice : i would prefer 3rd person play rather than top down because it would make more immersive and made the combat more intense but if you intent to be playing as a top down then that's ok ( but please reconsider it ) , As i said about maps design so i'm not gonna address it more , but Colosseum could be expand more as a rouge like mode and survival for longest time with more handicap and stuff due to players choice. More weapon variants update ( example : Troy dual SMG , Zero sniper , Cass Staff - Kosmo Knuckles , etc ). i'm kinda disappoint with skins design because it just lazy change of shaders nothing more ( except the halloween one , it fantastic ) but i'm glad that you have plenty of parts to cover it up.
If you guys reading this reviews please reconsider it and i hope you guys will gain more support and success on the next update .

Equipment upgrades and information is severely lacking. They use Vector as the unit measurement, but weapons/accessories doesnt have much different between Vector 30 to 40. Sometimes just 1% difference. This is the BIGGEST turn off for me. There is not much feels of progression because of this
Weapon variety is also quite boring. Even though there are various effect applied to mobs, but the action itself are the same. This severely makes the game quite boring after 1-2h playing (even more solo).
It is also quite hard to find teammates on early game.
But there is hope if developer keep adding content. Only buy if in discount.

I usually give early access titles the benefit of the doubt, but after sinking a fair chunk of hours in since wintersale 2020, it's time for a review. Kill sqaud is your generic role based arpg that takes elements of helldivers fused with the gear upgrade of destiny. Blended with a moba style level system that allows you to choose your perks per level up during contract.
- Servere lack of content, Really needs double the amount of contracts.
- Loot grind becomes a chore once you max vector 1 character.
- 5-15 minutes per mission (speedrun right to win)
- Borderline unplayable at 250ms ping/average host ping 200ms
- 20-30 players per day.
- RNG hourly item shop refresh
Will update once it's released.

The core gameplay loop is action RPG with MOBA style levelling (though the gameplay is nothing like a MOBA). Each character (class) has several skills which start out at the same base level each mission, and you choose which ones to level up as you gain experience during that mission. This makes it easy to experiment with builds, as you can choose a different upgrade path each mission if you like, though you'll probably find the skills you prefer pretty quickly and lean on them most of the time.
Enemy encounters can be difficult at times, at least for my skill level, but don't feel unfair. As you would expect, as your gear improves you become stronger, but so far I haven't experienced any huge leaps in power. This places importance on improving your skill as a player even as you improve your gear, and also helps keep replaying earlier missions fun because you aren't simply overwhelming everything.
Despite being in early access, I haven't encountered many glitches or bugs so far. It seems like the devs pay attention to player feedback as they have taken the game in different directions based on what players say.

Secondly, I never write reviews, but this game, this game is a hot mess. Its like they are trying to make an ARPG (Diablo) type game mixed with Destiny and a MOBA. Only it doesn't work! Every new level you need to rebuild your skill powers (MOBA). Your strength comes from gear you buy after the level. Simply run lvl 1 over and over until you are super powerful and can solo any lvl. This is like one of those games you would buy for your phone, play for a few days, forget about and remove.
Graphics: The game looks good on high settings.
controls: Simple! Seems to be designed for a controller but works well for PC. Id like to be able to move ability's around.
Character classes: Horrible! Ranged classes are extremely under powered and basically worthless. Especially in groups (4). hardly no DPS. The Rouge and tank are amazingly over powered while ranged is shooting BBs. Close combat I and was doing 20 times the damage and owning mobs compared to ranged.
Loot: There is none. play lvl 1 over and over again to gain credits. why play lvl 15 for 4800 (takes about 30 min.) when ya can play lvl 1 and beat it in 3-5 min.! Sure at the end of the lvl you get a chest with 1 piece of gear. It usually sucks and is broken down for scrap.
Fights: The game can be a challenge. Only if you play lvl by lvl as intended and dont farm lvl 1, 1,000,000 times. Lock lvls or make them gear appropriate (easy, normal, expert, extreme, hardcore). Base rewards on completion and difficulty.
Map: There is none. There's a compass on the bottom right but its blank.
Terrain: Maps are small.
Interface: Its a simple point and click meh!
mission selection: Its a grid with some cutouts of monsters. its Boxy and lacks depth. Its boring and simple.
finding party (multiplayer) : I like how they are doing this. Different but I like it.
Overall impression: The game has potential if they stop trying to be a Destiny/Diablo/Moba. the Devs seem to be more worried about how the game looks than how it plays. Personally, id rather have an good looking game with amazing game-play than a amazing looking game with, meh! game-play. work it out.
In Closing: The game has potential. Loot drops, skill trees, stop trying to be a mix of Diablo, Destiny and A Moba. Keep the Diablo and Destiny. Drop the Moba!

I hope the developers or game development company comes out with some swag or loot or flair I can pickup to look at on the days leading up to when I have made time to game again... I'm a SOLID fan and have been telling people about this game, even high school students and a number of recent graduates I still talk to who have a lot more time to game (I work in technology for a school district). Spreading the love! Keep up the great work, Killsquad developers, testers, owners, etc! I LOVE IT!
(This was NOT a paid review, nor did I get the game for free. I saw the ad on Facebook, looked into it on Steam, bought it, tried it out, told friends about it, they bought it, we met, we played, and we keep playing!)

Just don't go fighting enemies 15 levels higher than you and you'll be fine
Core gameplay is fun and the progression feels just about right
More characters / cosmetics would be nice but for early access it's perfectly fine
Despite having default deadzones that are a tad bit too low the game plays great on controller!
If you wanted to you could avoid touching a KB/M your entire time playing, main menu could use some optimization to streamline navigation though
Game doesn't run as well as i'd expect (It's way easier to run Gears 5 with higher settings at 4K than it is to get this game stable) but it's still definitely playable
Overall KillSquad is definitely worth a buy if you enjoy twin stick shooters

On the other hand I love a good twin-stick shooter but have really lost any interest in playing for points. The arcade mentality is entirely out of me now and I am always wishing they had more meaningful metaprogression that isn't roguelike.
Now this game, this is an overly specific itch that not many things have been able to scratch. And it's so satisfying.
I think playing a healer in a shooter like this, actually getting to save my friends, while fighting some really sweet bosses that have great telegraphed attacks made this game standout as a very special co-op experience, Probably the highlight of my holiday game time so far.
Not sure if the endgame loop will be hefty and looty enough to keep me coming back forever like the previously mentioned games, but I can that right now the character balance and satisfying combat definitely make me want this game to replace them. Please keep up the good work.

This is a good ARPG in early access. It's definitely better than Diablo 3 was when it was first released, and this game is still in pretty early access. Are there things to work on? Yes, but the devs are engaged and have a road map published of their current goals. If you aren't willing to play an incomplete game, don't buy early access. Also, very unsure how this game is being compared at all to Destiny except that it is in a sci-fi setting.
The good -
-Built in easy to find multiplayer. Drop in/out multiplayer is enabled with public match making.
-RPG style character progression for each class, as well as multiple types of equipment that can be purchased along the way to increase your players overall power including abilities.
-Ability power ups achieved in each mission in the style of Heroes Of the Storm or MOBA style games.
-Beautiful sci-fi environments with enemies to match.
-Challenging game play that encourages multi-player, though so far it is doable though sometimes difficult in single player.
-In game quests that have lore to them (and a TLDR section)
-Quick, engaging combat with enemies visibly reacting when attacked.
-A clean, good looking UI.
-Multiple enemy types in every mission.
-Game is played well on M/K or controller.
What can be improved -
-There is something about the graphics currently that is ever so slightly grainy. This is common in early access games though, it just needs a bit more polish.
-More classes is always a good thing, but they have it published on their road map that a new class is already scheduled to come out.
-Unsure how end game is currently. I'm hoping they have end-game content that allows for continued character development and increased replay-ability. A brief discussion of end game content should be noted on the Steam page.
Edit: After playing a few more hours, I've found a few tips to make it a better experience.
-The game hasn't yet had anisotropic filtering added. I recommend manually adding it via your graphics card profile setting for individual settings (such as NVidia Control Panel). It makes a big difference in the clarity of the images.
-The drop/in out for multiplayer is some of the best I've seen. When you join a friends game, you join right besides them and it auto-levels you for that mission to the exact spot they are at, so there is no power gap if you come in late. While I haven't personally tried it, I very much would think this is the same for public match making if you join a match mid-progress.
-All loot is able to be picked up by all team members, with the exception of medpacks.
The game is a lot of fun, and if you like team based ARPG's this one is good. The balance is good, the dodging, abilities, and basic attacks are smooth and accurate. I highly recommend it.

Found this game from an instgram ad and LOVE it! It's like what Torchlight should feel like. Keep in mind it is in early access, but I feel like all the right features are there.
Pros:
Beautiful level design and attack mechanics - keep in mind there is a rogue-like aspect where each mission you change your character abilities and it resets each mission
Co-Op has been really fun - love exploring the maps with a good group
Leveling system is pretty straight forward
Each character feels unique and not one OP out of place one that I can tell
Plenty of hidden items and missions to unlock
Cons (keeping in mind this is beta):
For whatever reason even on max quality, game still looks a little blury
Would love to see a bigger player base, running missions on solo can be lonely/ very hard without an extra teammate and not all players are available to help with missions - maybe add an AI co-op feature?
Item menu controls could use some tuning
Looking forward to:
I LOVE character customization, would love to see more cosmetics early on in the game
Can't wait for more characters and missions
character intros/exit highlight cutscene would be fun

Pro- The co-op is a blast! Missions are a challenge at first.
Con- The shop is your main go to for gear. This is not a bad thing really. But i would LOVE to see more reward from missions feeling a little more rewarding with lvls that i am currently at when i do them. Or being able to send gear to use on my characters as i get them from questing on my main. At least the gear that are the same slots. Make me hunt for the correct weapon, but why throw away an awesome piece that would work well on another character?

I enjoy the graphics, it's actually quite lovely and the level design is quite in depth and detailed. I actually enjoy the characters enough that I don't feel annoyed having to play the same four characters over and over. I look forward to more characters one day.
After their most recent update, I noticed an adjustment to the leveling up experience. I would constantly finish levels at level 8, when the max level is 10. Now it seems that every time I'm in a mission I finish at level 10, so I get all the goodies that come with maxing my ultimate abilities.
The boss fights are pretty intimidating, some of them really feel like boss fights, so I am quite impressed.
I've also noticed some stability improvements with multiplayer. Often when somebody would join my mission it would lag horrifically and even crash the game. I haven't had such problems since the CORE update.
I could honestly keep going with what I am enjoying with Killsquad and talk about the improvements and updates, content additions, etc. But I think that's a good enough review for now. I will update when needed.

The game operates out of a central hub where you can select your character, swap inventory, buy new items, etc. You also form squads of up to four players and select 'Contracts' which are relatively short missions that allow you to gather currency and materials that you can use between missions to buy and/or upgrade equipment.
Leveling is done inside of missions similar to a MOBA and every other level (up to ten) you're able to upgrade one of your abilities. At the sixth level you can choose an ultimate. After you finish your mission your level will be reset. As you kill enemies and loot chests you acquire DNA which you can spend within the mission at a vendor to upgrade your Health, Armor, and/or Shield. The DNA currency doesn't carry over between missions.
The combat feels more like a twin-stick at times than a traditional ARPG but it flows nicely. You have your basic attack, four special abilities, consumable items, equipable abilities (from items), and a movement skill (dodge/dash/etc). Everything operates off of cooldowns. Confusingly, there is a bar underneath your health that is class dependent. For example, Zero, the healer, builds up 'energy' on this bar that can be consumed to spawn health kits to heal yourself or allies whereas Kosmo, the tank, builds up 'overshield' which acts as an extra hit-point pool. A better explanation of these mechanics in-game would be VERY much welcomed...
The only glaring issues that I've noticed are lack of players, all matches being public (temporarily), general lag when playing online, and a huge lack of transparency/explanation when it comes to how stats and some mechanics actually work.
In it's current state I'd say it's worth playing if you get it on sale but if they fix the issues I mentioned and continue to add more content I'd definitely recommend the game at full price or possibly even more depending on where it ends up. It's not really groundbreaking at the moment but it has a lot of potential and is already more fun than other early access games that ended up in development hell.

The core gameplay seems fun, but after playing the same missions/contracts 4 or 5 times and not being able to progress it is very difficult to keep playing.
One thought, is to allow multiple deaths for solo players. That would probably help quite a bit.
The few times I was able to play with others, the missions were enjoyable and I felt like I was improving my gear (vector level). But I'd say 85% of the time, there is no one else playing the early missions.

Combat = Responsive + feels beautiful
Enemies/Bosses - exude fun + inventiveness. Ragdolls are superb
Characters - are too much fun to play as
Heavy music Vs. The Feds - more please Sir!
Graphics - Fantastic
Cos' I said fix it...
Levels at the moment are bland + unremarkable. Kemmekh less so
Orbs that don't auto collect as soon as they drop. WTF!
Stupid E-mail system - Cut the crap, have the contracts included on mission select
Items that can't be dismantled because another character is using it. Serious WTF!!
Audio unbalanced - Some too quiet others WAY TOO LOUD
Vector level rises far too quickly - More low level missions needed
Scenery - easy to get snagged on
Skills - Most epic. Some cack!
As the developers asked for a list of what's wrong... I GIVE IT TO YOU.
This is my favourite type of game and when is the combat ever this amazing!? Chain combo spank-a-rama!!

If I were to make a critique is regarding the character customization both visual and gameplay customization, I can't say I'm much of a fan of having to level up 10 levels in each mission to pick the powers. I think besides this in mission progression add a personal progression to add identity besides the itemization.
Visual for example Kosmo, allow him to have lots of hockey masks to customize lol.

- The game has 2 levels and an arena. As you get later into the game, the levels have some color variance. But that's it. The levels also have pointless dead ends that do nothing but proc an enemy spawn that could have easily been triggered by the already existing wave of enemies.
- The game has no loot. It has about 6... 7... 10? different currencies though. What do they do? Game doesn't tell you. Once you figure it out, you realize you are running the same 2 levels (with color variance) to grind these currencies to then....
- Loot. The game has no loot. For example. My sword is Vector level 1. It does +15 critical damage. You don't loot weapons. You buy them from the in game NPC. The way you purchase items is you click to the shop, click the type of item you want to purchase.... and then the game gives you one. No choice. Nothing. So, back to my example. I got a weapon that does +15 critical damage. But the Vector level is 30 instead of 1. This means my weapon is better according to the game. But nothing has changed.... besides the Vector number. Nice.
- The menus, the lore. Mobile game main menu, mobile like mailbox system for accepting quests. If you like reading the lack of lore and story, there's something here for you.... question mark....
-Solo play is not viable. I understand that this game is meant for co-op. There are 36 people playing at the moment of this review. There's a reason for that. More so, the game advertises itself as something that can be done solo. If you die in a squad, you can help each other up. If you die solo, you get to start the mission all over again. Balanced for solo.... hahahaha. Okay.
Overall, this game has potential, because most things that are this poorly thought out and made do! Will it ever be taken in a direction that actually goes somewhere? I dunno. But I'll be here for it if it happens.

I will give a positive review as i find the game fun to play. Graphics are very nice and the gameplay is fluent.
Having said that, and because devs say they read every review, i believe what the game needs in order to prevail is:
*Make the initial difficulty higher (im currently at recruit and its way too easy, i hardly lose life to mobs). Hope the difficulty on higher tiers is WAY harder.
*The game needs some workarround strategy other than just move arround and click for spells to kill mobs. It would be very nice if team mates had to work together for beating the stages. Maybe having a tank, a healer, or something. Right now it feels that whatever you take into battle doesnt matters.
*Put some music into the battle, not just the ambient sounds of gunfire.
*The final boss is a joke currently. Doesnt do damage, dies in literally 15 seconds.
*More map variety
I know its in EA, so i hope devs take this feedback as a constructive review and maybe, take some of these insights.

The game is pretty but bland, the characters lack something, there is no punch, no feeling of being powerful even when you reach level 10 in a mission and sometimes, you have a ridiculous amount of enemies on screen and absolutely no way to heal yourself efficiently (except if you play the healer character).
Can't recommend the game right now unfortunately.

The game was extremely easy as a Zero main, the other characters didn't entice me enough to play them. I could solo everything this game had up until the last time I played which was the end of 2019. Every patch was just the same mobs re-skinned, if that. Not many great changes.
Maybe this patch has added some variety but I don't see it bringing myself or others back.
A few big sound issues that just never got resolved, especially on that flying boss with multiple phases who's name I've forgotten. Straight up zero sound on majority of the fight for moves that can and will one shot you, and the sound just stopping wasn't an isolated issue to that boss either.
The occasional skill shot markers not appearing was a fun thing too. Especially on one shot abilities.
Most of the weapons and equipment you got were straight up dead content. There's maybe two useful weapons for each character and the other 10 (if there was even that many) were absolutely useless.
But yeah, not enough new content IMO. The game was the same from level one until the end just with bigger numbers.
Hell this might all be irrelevant now, but with the new patch I just wanted to put this out there in hopes that people don't lose their money on something that I believe isn't worth it at this stage.
If you do purchase this game, good luck finding a squad to play with the game having an average player count of 15.

Core foundations are excellent.
Character cosmetic customisation and solo mode are supposedly scheduled down the line which is promising.
Devs seem to support the game well.
Gameplay is good.
Gameplay loop needs a bit more work. Still feels a bit dry the motivation to keep playing. Loot isn't quite as exciting as it should be yet. Nor are the cosmetics (real ones) yet implemented.
Classes are fun and varied. Good for teamplay.
For the moment a light recommendation.

The TLDR for this is - don't buy this game.
You will first be charmed by the main idea of the game. A dota meets ARPG type of thing.
You get 4 classes to chose from, each with 4 abilities, one of them being an ult. As you run the mission you will upgrade your abilities and unlock the ult.
Now this sounds great at first. You are changing your main abilities, as you play, depending on what is happening and the type of enemies you are facing. Great stuff. Until it turns out that each mission, everything is a rince repeat of what you have been doing and nothing actually changes.
The game progression comes to: go to different location, with assets, do same things, get to level 10, fight boss, rince repeat.
This game lacks any sort of depth. There is nothing behind the shiny jewel of novelty after the first hours.
Unless the devs flip this upside down, this game will be dead before it get out of early access.
And if you're like me and you're missing good coop friends with buddies, simply don't - the game scales poorly, making all enemies bullet sponges which will bore you to death.
AVOID THIS FOR NOW UNTIL SOMETHING DRAMATICALLY CHANGES.

Crashes, lag, enemy's not showing up but damaging you. Screen freeze 5 sec and then your dead again. Last months became more and more buggy and going down hill.
It's nice there is less in the new update.
The core of the game has become unstable and this is the reason i'm not recomending this game at this time.

No actual known stats and the game does not explain much other than go fight and loot. What does +1000 defense mean in terms of mitigation? No idea as it isn't shown.
The game could at some point get better, but they are well behind their current roadmap and I don't see the current itemization of how the game plays to be a sticking point for many future players.
