Story is super spannend, und die game mechanics sind nice. Kaycees mod hat zusätzlich das beste kapitel des Spiels genommen und zu nem sehr nicen dungeoncrawler gemacht. Gute Dungeoncrawler sind immer ein Schnapp.

Ich fand das Spiel sehr gut. Die Story war der absolute Hammer.
Leider brauchte ich dennoch an einigen Stellen eine Guide, da es dann doch etwas verwinkelt mit der Lösung war.
Trotzdem hat es dem Spielspaß nicht schlecht getan.
Empfehlenswert!

Das Spiel ist absolut verrückt! Seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr so unfassbar geile, kreative und gut umgesetzte Spielmechaniken erlebt!

Ich habe dieses Spiel das erste mal gespielt, nachdem ich es in einem Letsplay gesehen hatte und war sofort begeistert. Bis heute mein absoluter Liebling :)

I love the card design and also how the card game works. Even tho its technically a crad game it still has lots of adventure in it. There are lots of hiddin things you can find troughout the game. Its story really kept the willing of continoung the game which means alot in games like these. Its always fun to create some really overpowerd cards so u can smash your opponents which also keeps the game entertaining, Overall great experience.

Nur ein paar Worte weil man das Spiel am besten komplett Spoiler frei angeht~

Bevor ich Inscyption gespielt hatte dachte ich es wäre ein leicht creepy Card-game mit Escaperoom twist, aber selbst wenn man nichts mit Kartenspielen am Hut hat macht es enorm viel Spaß, dank der krassen Story & Ideen die einen heftig packen.

Ich könnte super viel über das Spiel erzählen aber ich will niemanden was vorwegnehmen~

Ich bin mit der Erwartung rein gegangen, dass Inscryption so wie Slay the Spire sein wird. Doch dann wurde ich positiv überrascht, denn es ist viel mehr als Erwartet. Aber ich darf nichts Weiteres sagen sonst versau ichs ;)

Don't watch videos, reviews or anything that spoils you - just buy and play it. This is contender for Indie Game of the Year - at least for me. Great writing and the music / visuals are perfect.

This game has a big potential to become really popular. The gameplay of it is new and very adventures, also for every player, who likes a little bit of grotesque scenery it is perfect. My only down sides on this game are:
1. It is a short game.
2. The third part of the game was very exhausting.
3. I wished to have a similar scenery like in the first part and also I really would love to see locations for the last 2 bosses

Hmm...

Das was man bei Steam und in der Demo sieht ist sehr schön umgesetzt und hat ein hohes Suchtpotenzial, zum verliebenl!

Ist aber nur der erste Abschnitt...

Wenn man diesen Abschnitt des Spiel´s durch hat und dann ein neues Spiel beginnt, was man vorher nicht konnte!

Ja dann sieht es aus wie die guten alten Rogue-like (1980er) Spiele... finde ich heute immer noch Klasse! aber...

Ich finde, hier wird der Käufer getäuscht. Wenn wenigstens die Duelle alle so wären wie im ersten Abschnitt des Spiel´s, das wäre schön, leider ist es aber nicht so :(

Würde ich lieber ein Daumen zur Seite geben!!!

Kaufempfehlung ja aber nur wenn es im Sale ist und zwischen 10 und 15 Euro kostet!

This game might be one of my favourite games of all time.

The sound design is flawless.
The gameplay is absolutely amazing. (The Deathcards are so much fun lol)
The story is just so fun and innovative.
And that amazing transition (not gonna spoil it) surprised me sooo much.

I really cant recommend this game enough.
Go play this game completely blind.
It's worth it.

Als ich das erste Mal den Trailer zum Spiel auf der E3 letzten Jahres sehen durfte hat mich das Spiel sofort gepackt. Devolver Digital ist für mich schon seit Jahren mein absoluter lieblings Publisher und deshalb waren meine Erwartungen dementsprechend groß.

Ich haderte zuerst noch kurz mit dem Kauf, entschied mich dann aber zuersteinmal die Demo herunterzuladen. Es dauerte nur zwei Runden der Demo und ich konnte die Finger nicht mehr still halten und musste es mir daher einfach zulegen.

Das Spiel packt einen von Minute eins, bereits zu Beginn war ich Mal wieder (wie bei Devolver Digital üblich) beindruckt von der Atmosphäre, die dieses Spiel aufbaut. Die ruckartig wechselnden Kameraperspektiven unter streichen den Horrorcharakter dieses Spiels, welcher sich durch das gesamte Spiel zieht. Interessant sind auch die ganzen Puzzleelemente und die Story, welche mich nicht losließ und ich mich daher ständig fragte, was es mit diesem mysteriösem Ort und den Zwei Augen, die mich aus dem Dunkel anstarren, auf sich hat.

Nun aber zum wichtigsten Teil des Spiels: Dem Gameplay. Dies war zu Beginn einer meiner persönlichen Schwächen, da ich bisher kaum solcher Kartenspiele gespielt habe, jedoch wurde ich auch hier keines Weges enttäuscht. Die Kämpfe sind taktisch und abwechslungsreich, mit steigender Erfahrung wird man mehr belohnt und kann sich nach und nach immer bessere Decks zusammen bauen. Ich konnte einfach nicht mehr aufhören zu spielen, ich wollte es einfach immer und immer wieder versuchen zu Gewinnen, was letztendlich in 7 Stunden Spielzeit am ersten Tag resultierte.

Fazit:
Auch wenn ich das Spiel noch nicht ganz zuende gespielt habe verändert das nichts daran, dass sowohl die Story, die Atmosphäre und auch das Gameplay auf ganzer Linie glänzen. Für mich die absolut perfekte Mischung und bereits eines der besten Spiele, die ich je gespielt habe.

Edit:
Wow, einfach nur wow. Habe das Spiel soeben beendet und mir fehlen die Worte um es auszudrücken. Wahrscheinlich das beste Spiel was ich bisher jemals gespielt habe.

Very well made game and somehow reminded me of There's No Game: Wrong Dimension with its changing style.

Act 1 of the game is spectacular and definitely earns the review score; however the rest of the game (artistically) and the playstyle changes dramatically and I cannot say I liked them as much. Act 2 definitely questioned my choice of playing the game but if you persevere, I should say that Act 3 and particularly the ending is wonderful. Just give me a game like Act 1 and make it 10 Acts and I'd play that in a heartbeat. If I wanted to make a tier list, I'd easily rank them as Act 1>Ending>Act 3>Act 2.

If you're not a fan of card games I'd probably not recommend the game since after certain points it is heavily leaning on deck building and automatic building is useless. Though I have to say that neither the game or the puzzles are nerve-wracking.

Considering the wonderful regional pricing, I'd argue that it's a unique game that you should experience one way or another unless you genuinely dislike the genre.

Inscryption is a deckbuilding/card game with neat puzzle sauce and one holy motherf'in meta fiction story.

PROS:
+ Art and general atmosphere. Everything was good. Color palette usage was genius level. Everything looked unique. Later game parts done great, everything had its unique feel.
+ Sound design. It was phenomenal. All glitchy, noisy effects done superb, music was unique.
+ Gameplay. I finished the game in 14 hours, and still in awe of all its parts. Not that it throws something new and challenging constantly but all of the mechanics were also so neatly planned out you never get bored, stuck, not even sigh...
+ Story. This is a great example of meta fiction. Im sorry now that i missed the game on its launch and never watched any creator broadcast. Now i adore the guy and what he accomplished here.
+ Pricing. It is a steal for the content and the concept.

It is perfect. Game of the year for me surely. Brilliant use of meta-fiction with unique mechanics blending. Full with surprises, i respect the creators choice for not putting any late game screenshots, so i will leave it at that. Fun gameplay. Intriguing story. Unique art. What else one can expect from a game really? Go buy it and put it on the top of your playlist.

It is not the classic card game. Mullins has once again managed to bring variety to the game.

Worst part of this game is when it's over. Definitely worth the price tag.
Legitimately a gripping, excellent experience which I hope gets a spiritual successor or a sequel.
Replayability is somewhat good but nowhere near as high as everyone's expectations seem to be going into it.
Atmosphere/ambience is unparalleled, if you actively put effort into getting immersed in the audio you'll be rewarded with an unrivalled experience.
9/10. Buy the game and support a one of a kind developer.
