Don't know why they downrate it so much.
They could just develop it more, and make more updates. Then the game would be really good.
Different then Call of The Wild. But still good.
WHY THE FUCK you stopped updating and developing this game? also creating new maps/dlcs like call of the wild is still doing it?
I would buy them.
This game has some really good things, even better then call of the wild some stuff in it(weapons, dog, sone mechanics, I even like the animals). you just needed to continiue develop, add new things, and make more advertise.
I don't know why the developers gave this game so fast up, and stopped making updates/content.
This game could be awesome.
It is already good, but could be WAY better. it is not hard to improve this game and make it big and worthy for everyone.
In my opinion a little gem.

Waterfowl hunting is kind of nice, still a really fair price for this game would be around 10 €. Do not buy it if you played theHunter: Call of the wild or even theHunter: Classic (which IMHO is way better than Cotw), cause it will disappoint you bad.

3.Kein Multiplayer fehlt mir sehr
Tiere such man vergebens .

Pro:
-Schöne Grafik,
-Begleiterhund(Befehle funktionieren Gut),
-Tier-KI,
Skins)
-keine Wettereffekte (Nebel, Regen usw.)
Grafikeinstaellungen
The game is GOOD! If TheHunter Call of the Wild didn't exist, there wouldn't be a better hunting game.
Per:
-Beautiful graphics,
- companion dog (commands work well),
- animal AI,
-not so crowded maps (animals),
-The whistles work well (but are not overpowering),
-there is various ammunition (which also has a different effect when hit),
-If the animals are close enough you can hear their steps,
-The training of the dog really makes a difference with increasing experience (does not lose track so quickly)
-there are many options to increase the difficulty of the hunt (e.g. the visual visualization of animal calls can be deactivated and much more),
- the wind direction is not displayed automatically (animals react to smells)
Con:
- weapon handling (I have the feeling that the skin of the crosshair '' German Standard '' is not properly centered),
- hit feedback,
-Weapons have no big differences (there are actually only 4: rifle, shot, bow and crossbow with many different skins)
-no weather effects (fog, rain, etc.)
- Sometimes killed animals end up in areas that are inaccessible (also for the dog)
Conclusion: VERY varied maps, the mechanics work well, the dog is great, variable level of difficulty, the controls still have to be improved a little to give the game feeling a better flow (you cannot give the dog any commands or choose a different whistle while you are running .... the character then stops every time)
If you fluctuate between COTW and HS2 I advise you to use COTW
(Anyone who already has Call of the Wild and is considering buying HS2 will receive a buy recommendation)
My system: Core i7, 16GB Ram, GTX 1070 (8GB) Runs perfectly with max. Graphics settings

There is no mod support.
There is no prone / crawling.
And the tutorial is overly simplistic and doesn't do anything else.

+ Beautiful graphics
+ 3 maps with 2 versions of each
+ Character clothing customization
+ Hunting dogs
+ Variety of animals
Not Pro or Con
* Shooting does not feel satisfactory
Cons
- Its pain in the ass to buy new license every time you hunt certain amount of animals 1-10.
- Harvesting sucks, you have to go back to the lodge.
- Animals are way too easy to hunt and they dont get scared easily therefore there is not that rewarding feeling when you finally catch the animal you have been hunting for an hour.
- Hitboxes are bad.
- No missions in base game
- Fines for shooting animals too many times or with wrong caliber, not harvesting animal before returning to lodge, for shooting animal without license and thanks to this its annoying to earn money at the start of the game for new weapons, licenses and such.
Overall 66/100 Meh buy Hunter Call of The Wild instead.

Pros:
- Graphics are clean.
- Animations are clean.
- Realism is amazing.
- Use of gaining achievements.
- Guns have a very nice clean texture to them.
- The fact that you get several different (breeds) of dog that help on other things.
Cons:
- Dog could use some work, when not asked for find or track it will track on its own. That annoys me.
- Having a license for an animal, and it has a limit of how many animals you have then having to buy a new
license.
- Gun isn't able to be fully shown in first person, would like a nice view of it on my character.
- There is only one beagle, and the rest are labradors. Wish that there was more different breeds.
Suggests:
- Add a mechanic to be able to look at the gun in the players hand.
- Remove licenses amount of animals allowed.
- Frontal view of the character.
- Add more dog breeds, not just labradors.
- Add multiplayer, would love to play this with my father.
Overall, this game is worth $25. I see most of your games are all $39.99, can't just have that price on each game you have published/created. But, I am glad I bought it for the $39.99 with $3.29 tax... Total of $43.29, that tax is insane for a well built game, and just with my 6 hours of play time I feel it's not worth that much, even though I suggest the game. Keep up the great content brother, love to see you up making huge games with hundreds of thousands of players or even millions. <3

Guns and scopes are modeled by someone who doesn't understand either. Reloading animations are unfinished.
There are silly consequences/fines for shooting animals too many times. I drained my in game currency cause I shot a tight flock of ducks too many times.
There really isn't much good in this game other than its graphics. The graphics are pretty.
Get Hunter, cotw if you want a hunting game.

I recommend getting the Bear Hunter DLC, and the big Beretta gun pack DLC. There are 6 big maps, 2 in each region. The biggest thing that is missing is the option for realistic ballistics, i.e. bullet drop and windage. The graphics are mostly wonderful, but a little less impressive than TheHunter. But the game play I find superior in HS2. The guns are nice, and it is a nice touch to include AR-style weapons. All in all I am pleased with purchase, all $55.00.
Now the bad: at 13 hours I was unable to run the game due to a load error. Nothing worked to correct this, and both Nacor and Steam were no help at all. after a day or so the game suddenly worked fine again. this happened again at 13 hours and at 60 hours. My PC is a new gaming laptop, and all other Steam, Origin, and Epic games run fine.

BUT, despite of it there are lot of things that prevent to call the game a simulator, and in this case I would look up on Arma 3, or something like that.
At first, please, add slings to the rifles, at least optional! Every time when I need to switch to a rifle from items, it looks like I'm pulling the gun out of my pants! What, if I had two guns? LOL/
Why do I have to hold a rifle in my hands all the time when I have shoulders?
Add more stances and shooting positions like sitting on the ground, or leaning on tree trunks, branches and stones. Why not to add bipods as option on some rifles?
Also if developers added a view control by rotating the head separately from the body, that It would be useful and just look cool especially with such graphics.
Generally there is a shortage of interaction with the game world in some aspects.
For example, I find myself running through the forest without any harm from sharp branches and without any reaction from the player character at all.
I can travel to the map during 2-3 hours or more and walk with full package of ammo, accessories etc., tracking or chasing a wounded animal, and neither the character, nor the dog aren't feel tired or hungry, because there is no time and weather change while hunting, that makes it boring after some time.
Btw, the dog almost doesn't produce sounds. I've only heard it bark once in the last three days, but I can hear a deer sniffing (or what it's really doing) a hundred yards away.
Yes, it is not a simulator so far, but it shows some promise to be it once.

Hunting Simulator 2 Review
(The review will not include a detailed comparison to other titles available in the market. But a note is added at the end for the readers.)
Even if we ignore the fact that this is a 2020 game, it is still worse than a 2015 game. It appears like all the work and time are put into collecting ideas only. Everything from the environment to sounds or gameplay; looks like a total failure. The first thing you need in a hunting game is the surroundings because you will spend most of the time waiting patiently for a hunt. But traversing on the map was just awful and felt like a punishment. Flora and fauna, looks like unpolished mesh rendering. Terrible audio sections; environment audio sounds like a busy subway, not at all close to the beauty of nature. Walking on grass resonates more like stepping on wet polythene trash. You might think that maybe the game lacks in visuals or sound only, but NO! It is a disaster. The map looks straight out of a kid’s game. If you somehow identified an animal from the same color contrast and got a kill, you might get excited to see which organs you hit and how was the bullet impact. But your excitement will collapse after seeing a second-grade quality kill review infographics showing animal organs as blocks. No bullet hit trajectory, just a red block showing which organ got hit.
Gameplay:
You start the game and select your character from the two options. Then a tutorial describes mandatory aspects of the game, ranging from tracking footprints, hunting structures, how map/waypoint works, tracking the hunt with the most and only important part of the game; our dog/companion. At the start, you will get a beagle, and you can name your good buddy whatever you want, pretty basic tutorial covering all the key points. Then you visit your lounge, which is hands-down the most pleasant and only polished aspect of the game. It’s surprisingly well-crafted and filled with do-able interactive segments, like a store to buy hunting licenses, clothing, gears, and equipment. All the weaponry have official names, and you will recognize them instantly if hunting is your real hobby. The list moves forward with the option to buy different breed companions, configure loadout, and visit the shooting range. The shooting range was well built but was a kind of boring. The first problem/drawback starts here, during the time of item purchases, most of the people will buy random items that look good and end up spending all their money, as it’s not mentioned anywhere that you don’t own any primary equipment and need to buy from scratch. That results in people buying different companions, all licenses of a single location, or some clothing apparel and end up going to hunt with incomplete gear. Either a tutorial for a lounge or a pre-made loadout can solve this problem. You can choose 6 different locations, grouped into three geographical areas. But they all have the same color contrast and hardly any wow factor.
Graphics:
The Graphics section is a total failure, no cap. Poor rendering and color scheme ruins the fun of being in the wilderness for a hunting session. Not at all expected from a 2020 game, as several advancements already done in the field of game designing. Rocks look like a lump of mud placed randomly into the map. Bad rendering of trees and grass makes it look dull. Animals look like a potato sack quality. All this comparison is based upon the cost that the game is asking. Overall, they are ok-ish, but with high value, there come big expectations. The effect of fog was somewhat pretty and enhancing the lining of the horizon. Tracks are nearly impossible to spot. Blood looks like red acrylic paint. Dog animations are great, and their behavior is well worked upon too. All the graphic work in the interior designing of cabins, hunting structures, lounge, and shooting range deserves appreciation.
Sound/Audio:
Just one word to describe it–Awful. The environment and stomping sounds are just horrible. Animal sounds are somewhat okay, but the callers are loud and weird. In the name of environmental sounds, it was just loud noise and birds chirping. Narrations were good, along with dog interaction sounds.
Some ideas that were new in this genre(polished/unpolished):
- One of the most creative ideas was to prevent the unethical killing. You can’t multi-shot any animal, nor shoot it with the wrong caliber, as it will make them suffer more. Prohibition on hunting without a license is appreciable.
- Having a companion dog is a top-notch idea and was well executed. Training your dog and building a bond is what every hunting game requires. Along with that, having certain traits of dogs to suit your hunting style is a big thumbs up too.
- Trophy keeping, loadout, and the hunting structures are common ideas, so no need to elaborate on those, but an interactive lounge serves a decent purpose and adds flavor to hunting life.
- The option to enable or disable hit marker, show tracks and head bobbing was pretty helpful, as it will help the newer audience to learn the mechanics a bit faster.
- Aim cursor showing your stamina depletion as you go ahead, and a compass UI at the top of the screen, were small but productive elements.
Main Pros and Cons:
Pros-
- Dog companion with special traits.
- 160+ official weapons and equipment.
- Lots of customization.
- No unethical hunting allowed.
Cons-
- Terrible audio.
- Disappointing graphics for a new-gen game.
- Only 33 animals.
- Bad Kill review infographic.
Tips to new players:
Decrease environment volume. When you reach the lounge and about to enter store purchases, only buy 243 calibers as most of the hunt can be done with the default 270. Select one region and only buy licenses that support 243 and 270 caliber. Don’t purchase a new companion, clothing, or anything at the start. It will take some time to train your canine companion, so don’t get frustrated. It uses tents for fast travel, so more the better. Hunting an animal and not bagging it will cause a penalty. Trails are too hard to spot, so it’s better to enable trail indicators.
Miscellaneous Information:
Companion -
Each dog breed has certain traits, pointers will point an animal, while retrievers will retrieve your hunts. But you will need to train them to be more efficient.
Info about DLC -
Don’t purchase, not worth it. Guns DLC are not useful and somewhat buggy. Stick to the default gear present in the game. Not recommended even on sale.
Honest Rating:
Dogs are probably the center of attraction for this game. Overall, a lot of good ideas, but it was not much fun and feels unpolished. Maybe in the coming future, new updates will push the game sales and fix the negative ratings. But right now, it’s nowhere near the asking price and not logical to recommend.
The other title in this genre, “theHunter: Call of the Wild™” is a lot more polished game with realistic aesthetics. If you want to read a review about it, you can easily follow up on this link.

And just some mechanics we need or we need to be removed.
