3 Stunden Spielzeit für 25 Euro. Jedes DLC ein linearer Schlauch, bei dem nichts vom Hauptspiel übrig geblieben ist.
Absolut Mies. Lösch dich Deep Silver!

Has the 'burning' of this game been justified by a sloppy launch ? Maybe for some, but for me it's a pretty solid, well optimised, robust and atmospheric, first person guerrilla shooter now, on the top of my list, with a descent amount of variety, in gameplay mechanics, and level design, combined all together, with great voice acting, sound effects and music.
The only negative thing for me was the 'enemy / threat', it should have been, or, more 'realistic'... or, more fictional... I personally would vote for a more fictional enemy / threat.
All in all worth the money, if you enjoyed the main game, and a very well done shooter in general, Thumbs Up !.

If you enjoy the game, consider picking this up, or buy it together with the base game when it's on sale.

NEUTRAL.
REASONS FOR VERDICT:
While the linear FPS content is good, there's a lack of value here based on the price of the content.
Each DLC is about 1-3 hours each, if that!
RECOMMENDED...when Expansion Pass/DLC's each/or Freedom Fighter Bundle is on sale.
NOT RECOMMENDED...when none of the above is not on sale.
INTRO:
Homefront: The Revolution is, for the most part, an open-world style FPS in a similar style of that of the Far Cry 3 & 4 titles. While the base-game is an underrated game IMHO, there is also the matter of the usual assortment of DLC's and Expansion Pass, and a Complete Edition (Freedom Fighter Bundle for this game) that a game might come with extra content. So, how does the DLC's compare and how did the extra content actually turn out?
THE VOICE OF FREEDOM (DLC):
The Voice of Freedom is pretty much a short & action-packed prequel to the actual Homefront: TR base-game. This game is linear by most means, which is unlike most of the Homefront: TR base-game. If you were wanted more open-world Homefront: TR, you are not going to get it here.
Though, if you wanted a bit more story & character development in Homefront: TR, TVOF will satisfy that to a certain extent. This all certainly could've been fleshed-out a bit more, to make us care about the characters quite a bit more. Mind you, I don't expect the best storytelling & character development from this game and series, as this has never been one of the strong points of this series. The biggest problem here is not of TVOF being mostly linear, as this is a nice change & also feels similar to the original Homefront game, but is that this DLC feels so brief & short.
Benjamin Walker's story is important (who you do play as here), as this feels like one of the moments that really turns the tide here to spark this Revolution...which rolls right into getting the HF:TR's base-game's story & events going. While I did play this DLC after the base-game, I can see many might get more out of this DLC & also the base-game by actually doing TVOF first and then rolling right into Homefront: The Revolution base-game. TVOF is linear, which does make some characters feel a bit more important & immediate (especially Benjamin Walker); does teach some of the game mechanics early on & well; and also grace the player into the game itself and also its world & lore. TVOF feels like a better starting point for players than where the HF:TR base-game started, TBH.
It took me almost 2 hours to finish TVOF, despite being a well-designed & put together (short) campaign. Feeling like a homage to Metro series of FPS games (with the atmosphere in the subways/metros), this game is a FPS that takes place in a fair deal of the actual Metro subways in Philly. TVOF is still Homefront: TR, for the most part: it still runs okay (but not great); looks great; & the combat is still quite good with its mix of FPS action & stealth gameplay. If that's what you want out of TVOF, you'll be fine with this - as it doesn't really break, change, or reinvent the wheel here. It's more Homefront: TR, TBH.
Whether you think it's worth the 2 hours or so of gameplay for whatever you spend on this, that could be another matter entirely. This is where the dice can be rolled. While what's there is good & solid IMHO - well, it's basically going to matter how, when, and how much you spend on the extra content. If you can get this DLC cheap; the Expansion Pass cheap; or buy the Freedom Fighter Bundle to get everything for not much more $ than the base-game - then sure, TVOC just might be worth it for the 2 hours of content here.
AFTERMATH DLC:
Clocking in at around 3 hours, Aftermath delivers more of the same linear & action that The Voice of Freedom delivered. Don't expect more of the Homefront: TR base-game style of open-world gameplay, as that is just not here. If you're expecting that, prepare to be disappointed. If you're fine with linear FPS action with some set pieces and more storytelling & character development, then Aftermath DLC will deliver a fair amount of that, despite the DLC's short length.
Ethan Brady, the main character from the Homefront: TR base-game, is who the player will play as, this time around. One refreshing thing now: our protagonist from the HF: TR base-game actually is voice-acted & has some personality to him in the Aftermath DLC, which was lacking from the base-game.
B/c of poorly placed difficult shoot-outs later on in a few sections, auto-saves & having to do long-winded sections over and over, this DLC probably should've really never took that long. Despite that, though - the DLC was good, solid, and delivered more of the linear Homefront: TR action that The Voice of Freedom introduced to the Homefront: TR in this Expansion Pass. There might not be lot of content here in terms of quantity, but everything here is quality.
BEYOND THE WALLS DLC:
Clocking in at around 2 1/2 hours, Beyond The Walls DLC delivers more of the linear & action-packed FPS gameplay that came with The Voice of Freedom DLC & Aftermath DLC. If you wanted more open-world gameplay like HF: TR base-game - forget it, since none of the DLC's in this Expansion Pass offer that. If you wanted more story & character development - well, there's more focus on that here, in the short run-time period that this DLC goes on for.
Just like the previous DLC, you play Ethan Brady, who was the protagonist of the Homefront: TR base-game & Aftermath DLC. Also, just like Aftermath DLC, Brady is voiced here in Beyond The Walls, giving himself & also the game itself some personality that felt lacking from the base-game.
Feeling like it's taking some cues from Metro series of games with it subway areas and Half-Life 2 & its Episodes with its church & the way a certain character is with you like Alyx was for a good deal of the game & telling you what's going on as you go along, it makes the game push its story and whatnot along well, even despite its short run-time.
With its linear path; huge open-space style shootouts & intense action; and actually pushing some story & character stuff forward - for the 2 1/2 hours its lasts or so, it's another solid & good DLC entry in the Homefront: TR Expansion Pass.
EXPANSION PASS / DLC CONCLUSIONS:
Whether the DLC's are worth its price-tag, well...there's not a lot of bang for the buck here, which is the biggest issue here, more so than anything. Each linear DLC should take the player anywhere from 1-3 hours tops; that'll depend on if you're getting stuck in any areas b/c of poorly placed auto-saves & run into some difficult shootouts that cause you do re-do sections numerous times happen in these DLC's....or not. If the lacking amount of quantity isn't an issue in comparison to the amount of content you receive here - which isn't a ton here, TBH - then I do recommend the DLC's b/c what's here is all quality and b/c of how important these are to the game's lore & story.
All of the DLC's are very well made and they all do each feel distinct, epic & important...and that's even in each DLC's short run-time. They might not be long, but they don't waste any minute with whatever it wants to do here with its story, gameplay, and character stuff. If you're going to get the DLC's and value is a concern for you - well, then I'd suggest to buy each DLC cheap; or buy the Expansion Pass cheap; or buy the Freedom Fighter Bundle (which comes with Homefront: TR base-game & Expansion Pass) only when its priced a little bit more than the base-game.

All campaigns ditch the open world in favor of arenas not unlike Crysis 2/3.
While there's absolutely nothing new here in terms of gameplay systems,
the existing systems really gel well with the new approach to level layouts:
There are multiple ways to do things now, small setpieces here and there, and stealth is actually fun this time around.
The standout here is Beyond The Walls, being the longest, having the best arc of suspense, a great rendition of the American countryside and a redeeming moment for our protagonist – who is now voiced. Voiced well, too.
Combined length: 3+ hours (Main + some exploration)
Buy it on sale, but only on a Tuesday at 6:31 pm while wearing a single shoe.
Or just make your own purchasing decision.

Beat the second expansion in about an hour, was pretty cool story wise to continue with Walker, and your character finally fucking speaks.
Third expansion took about 90 minutes, and ended the main story pretty well, but still leaving a lot to be asked. Hopefully a more polished third game will come out and continue the story.
Buy this expansion on a sale. And I mean an 80% or higher sale.
