Gameplay:
Zur Zeit gibt es nur einen Survival Modus. Dabei befindet man sich in einem Höllentempel und wehrt anstürmende Dämonen ab. Dazu hat man verschiedene Waffen zur Verfügung die alle unterschiedliche Rollen erfüllen: Fäuste, einen Knüppel, ein Gewehr, eine Shotgun, eine Minigun und einen Raketenwerfer. Manche dieser Waffen bieten noch einen Sekundärfeuermodus. Es gibt unterschiedliche Gegnertypen, die sich unterschiedlich verhalten: Gegner mit Knüppel, Gegner mit Shotguns, Dämonen die Feuerbälle werfen und Gegner die mit Raketenwerfern ausgerüstet sind und sehr viel aushalten. Das Movement ist sehr schnell. Durch die Möglichkeit des Strafe-Jumps ist es aber problemlos möglich eine noch höhere Geschwindigkeit zu erreichen und somit Gegnern auszuweichen oder sie von hinten anzugreifen. Gesundheit und Rüstung spawnen immer wieder auf der Map und müssen aufgesammelt werden. Munition erhält man von erledigten gegnern oder aus grünen Zwiebeln die sich auf der Map befinden. Die orangen Zwiebeln explodieren bei Beschuss und können gegen Gruppen von Gegnern eingesetzt werden.
Fazit zum Gameplay: Das Spiel macht in diesem Punkt absolut alles richtig, was es versucht: Es ist schnell und erfordert Skill.
Grafik und Performance:
Da das Spiel auf der Unreal Engine programmiert wurde, sieht die Grafik wirklich großartig aus: Es gibt zahlreiche Beleuchtungseffekte, hochaufgelöste Texturen und Schatten mit guter Qualität. Die Performance ist der absolute Hammer: Konstante 60 Fps in den höchsten Einstellungen ohne eine einzigen Ruckler egal wie viel auf dem Bildschirm passiert. So hat eine Optimierung für den PC auszusehen. Super!
Ein paar kleine Kritikpunkte gibt es aber dennoch: Das FOV geht zur Zeit nur bis zu 110 Grad. Für ein Spiel mit so einem Gameplay wären 140 Grad durchaus sinnvoll. Im Otionsmenü gibt es noch keine Möglichkeit die Größe vom Hud einzustellen. Außerdem wäre eine Option, die Waffenposition auf dem Bildschirm anzupassen noch sinnvoll, damit man beispielsweise das Waffenmodel unten in der Mitte am Bildschirm hat damit man mehr sehen kann.
Fazit:
Das Spiel orientiert sich klar an Spielen wie Doom und Quake. Es macht absolut alles richtig was es versucht. So hat ein moderner Oldschool Shooter auszusehen. Und dazu ist es auch noch komplett kostenlos. Ausprobieren lohnt sich!

Survival Mode for the game Hellbound tho I am yet to get into the base game. I must say I enjoyed my time in Hellbound: Survival Mode. Tho There's not much content involved but the fast gory action-packed gameplay occupied me for hours.
Developed and published by Saibot back early 2018, Hellbound: Survival Mode is a fast-paced action-packed shooter. An extension of the base game you can give this Free to play game mode a try to understand what you might expect from the base game.
Upon trying for the first time I must say I found a very founding test of gameplay experience something that as a fan of shooter genre am very familiar with. Instant nostalgia kick, remained me of the good old days on games such as Doom.
The game goes throw waves of demons. The more you eliminate per wave in a certain amount of time the more you score. Quite a few different types of demons thrown at you, As the wave count rises, the more ferocious the demons become. They charge at you with all they got, and You must save your skin from hits by getting out of the way and dodging incoming fire. Look away for a moment and you'll get hit so many times even the highest health packs won't be able to help you.
But it's no big issue for a skilled shooter player. Bunny Hoping throw one end to another, picking up guns, ammo, and shield felt real good. The game runs smoothly on high fps and high refresh rate monitors, which I must say adds greatly to the gameplay experience.
The leaderboard system was a good touch for keeping track of my personal score, my friend's scores, and top players of the game. Trying to beat my fellow player's score is always a good sport. Personally didn't enjoy the weapon design, which is no issue just a personal thought.
The only thing Hellbound: Survival Mode needs is more content. Overall I had a pretty good gameplay experience with Hellbound: Survival Mode.

I highly recommend giving Hellbound: Survival Mode a try. If you're a fan of the shooter genre or a fan of games such as Doom you will enjoy Hellbound: Survival Mode very much.

The visuals are serviceable, they don't look bad but the bland stereotypical hell aesthetic with no interesting spin on it coupled with the forgettable enemies that blend together doesn't help the game.
The enemy design is worrying, this survival mode is supposed sell the game but almost every enemy in the mode is a copy from DOOM, I'm not saying that's inherently bad but it's not exactly the best foot to put forward, a unique and new enemy idea (even one or two) would help the DOOM copy accusations.
Same goes for the weapons, well balanced but all of them are copies from DOOM, with the only thing separating them being that every gun has a secondary fire, but DOOM started doing that in 2016.
The controls are my biggest fear, they feel clunky, like an attempt to fuse the incredibly fast paced movement of older shooters with the slower more modern movement, having you play with both at once. Walking and jumping normally is sluggish and slow, but the moment you start bhopping your speed increases thricefold, meaning there's no comfortable in between and leaves you mostly dragging yourself around like a snail.
The bhopping is also very strange, unlike any other game before. Like I previously said normal jumping is barely useful at all, being very slow and not taking you very far up or forward, but the instant you hold either left or right you start picking up speed unreasonably fast, no intricate mouse movement is required and the forward key practically has to be held down the entire time. The decision to make bhopping like this baffles me, it confuses people who like older fps games that have bhopping while also failing to appeal to a more modern viewpoint because you move so uncontrollably fast.
I do think the game has potential but from what it has shown now it's really squandering this opportunity. It feels like the project has an identity crisis, not sure if it wants to completely dedicate itself to the older classics or try to make it more like the modern shooters and it think it needs to understand what it wants to be. It's also in desperate need of originality, it's fine to take inspiration from the genre you are trying to bring back but nothing in this survival mode is unique and it feels like it's a custom DOOM WAD more then anything, it needs to have the bravery to make some original ideas and innovations if it wants to stand out. I will gladly be trying out the campaign demo in the near future with the hope that it at the very least doesn't have the originality issue.

This Game gives a sample of Hellbound in a Survival Mode. Hellbound will have a Campaign, but the Survival Mode gives us a feel for the Gameplay. I like what they give us so far, The Variety in Enemy Types, The Weapons Feel Good, The Hellish Environment looks Cool, and It's Overall Fun To Play. Luckily I like Survival Mode/Wave Based Type Games. The Game doesn't feel super smooth but still plays well. Just wish there was more of a reason to play like Achievements or Unlocks.

I can see this game quickly rising to being my most played, I very much enjoy it.
Pros:
- Awesome Graphics
- Nice 90s style game
- Quick and enjoyable
- Satisfying to kill enemies
- No lag
Cons:
- Clearly not finished but still a masterpiece
- No profile / personal statistics
- No Co-Op modes
- No Achievements
Even though this game lacks a few features of which I really wish it had, it's still a blast to play. I encourage anyone who enjoys 90s style wave based survival games check it out. You won't regret it! :)

Browsing through the store page, the text style here reminded me of Doom, and when I saw the gameplay looked like it was in the same spirit as Doom, of course, I downloaded it. When I saw the arena map, I was like ya this is basic, but it's sufficient enough to be visually appealing battleground to kill waves of enemies, so I don't mind. Getting weapons every wave, made a lot of sense, so that it always introduced a new enemy before hitting you with tons of them near the end of the wave. I liked that sort of balance, since it smooths the player into learning the new weapons and using them a bit before any real action starts. When I ranked like 1136, I was like nope. So I went and played, again and again, to try and beat my rank. I'm sitting at around 613 now, I believe. So feel free to try and beat my rank, I doubt it will be hard. | [/tr]

basically its a arena. you get guns. you kill. thats it. a fun couple of minute game. cant wait to see what it will become.

What I got: a fun takeoff on some of DOOM's more challenging levels with a straightforward, no-nonsense approach.
This was a fun game to play on Thanksgiving.
8/10 would play again.
