Intro

Hey everyone, I just wanted to make an announcement of what you might expect while you play through the game.

Gameplay

I want to be transparent about how the game plays. It is a walking-simulator, as stated in the description. There are no complicated mechanics, such as hiding from enemies, sanity levels, retaliation/combat. The game’s core mechanics are similar to that of the demo. It’s a straight-forward, narrative-driven, horror walking simulator with some puzzle elements.

I’ve inserted a ‘Hints’ section inside the pause menu. If you are inside an area for at least 6 minutes, you can check the hints menu for instructions on how to progress through the area.

The story is linear. There is only one ending and there are no interactions, decisions or choices that alter the ending.

Updates

I plan on updating the game for at least the next few months, all the way through January. These updates will include bug fixes, potentially new languages added, and other features if the demand is sufficient. I will most likely do them on a weekly basis, starting on Sunday 10/21/18.

Please don’t hesitate to email me about problems/bugs you’ve encountered, or ways to improve the game. The more information I receive about the bug, such as screenshots/short clips of it occurring, the easier it will be for me to identify/fix it.

Length

The estimated time to complete the game is 2-3 hours. This can vary with the time it takes to solve puzzles, along with if the player reads all the documents/notes within the game.

Localization

If you would like to see another language be implemented in the game, please email me. Also if you spot any errors in localization, please let me know, I'll try to fix them ASAP.

Performance

If you are experiencing performance problems, the two features that are the most taxing are Motion Blur, and Ambient-Occlusion. Try turning those two features off and see if performance improves.

If you don’t know if your machine can run the game, try downloading the demo and see how smoothly the game operates. It might give you a good idea whether or not your machine can run the game.

Thank You!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone that supported the project. Anything from leaving a like on a post, to adding the game to your wishlist means a lot. I appreciate all the support, and I hope you enjoy exploring God’s Basement!
