Das Spiel ist nicht schlecht für einen netten Zeitvertreib, kann aber nicht vollständig überzeugen.
Die Gespräche wirken oft komisch, das sieht manchmal wie ein billiger B-Movie aus.
Die Grafik ist nicht berauschend, das Spiel stammt aus 2011 was schon lange her ist.
Ohne nun die Zeit noch länger zu verschwenden mit Informationen, komme ich zur Sache.
Eines der schwächeren Games die ich durchgespielt habe.

Ein Action Game von 2011 - Spielzeit ca. 4,5 Stunden
+ abwechlungsreiche Forbewegungsmöglichkeiten
+ Errungenschaften die man größtenteils einfach erreichen kann
+ Steuerung ok
+ recht actionreich aufgebaut
+ fairer Steam Preis
- Waffensound und Gefühl
- Gegner KI
- Gegner Typen, fast immer die selben = langweilig
- langweilige Missionsziele / Story
Insgesamt ein durchschnittliches Action Game, das in heutiger Zeit durchfällt, weil man einfach schon so viel Gutes gesehen hat. Und Global Ops in wichtigen Punkten (auch damals) durchfällt.

Die Steuerung ist schlecht bis grauenhaft. Mehr gibt es fast nicht zu sagen. Kann nur vom Kauf abraten, es sei denn man möchte ein paar Kilos verlieren, denn bei dem Spiel kommt einem das K*tzen.

Story:
In Global Ops you play as Pope. When a russian mercenary group steal a rocket with the intention of selling it to some middle eastern terrorist you're forced to track down the rocket and make sure the deal never goes through. Ever played a generic military shooter (even more generic than COD) or watched one of those bad straight to DVD military movies ?
Well Global Ops is just like that just somehow even worse. The plot is hilariously bad and honestly I couldn't help but laugh at certain moments. Pope, the main character of the game is the token tough bro dude guy that spouts a bunch of garbage about how he's there to kick ass or some stuff like that and uses the word mother effer like there's no tomorrow. Watch out Dick Marcinko, you have some competition.
Graphics:
Global Ops is an ugly looking game. The first few missions take place in a snowstorm and has this dark blue tint and if you ever play this game (please don't), cherish that tint as that's all the color you will see throughout the entire game. Once you reach Libya it's all brown and washed out and insanely ugly. Environments are bland rundown shacks and military compounds, there's not much else here.
Audio:
The word generic also fits very snuggly here. It's a bunch of generic military orchestral stuff that tries to sound badass, but comes off as very cliche and forgettable. But the thing that is borderline offensive is the voice acting. Pope and his companion has this very dude bro sounding voice and the line reading is hilariously bad, but the other actors for the roles of the russian leader and the terrorist leader are borderline meme stereotype. The terrorist leader voice actor is so hilariously offensive that I honestly could not stop laughing at how bad it was and how they signed off on that.
The guns also sound really bad, with most of the guns sounding identical. I cannot help but laugh when an AK47 sounds pretty much like a UMP and they both sound like nerf guns. It's just really funny to me.
Gameplay:
Now this is where I was truly offended. Global Ops: Commando Libya is basically a knock off of Gears of War. It uses a lot of similar gameplay elements, stuff like sprinting is almost a direct rip. But everything it rips off it does super poorly. Let's begin with the combat. All you do is run around and shoot enemies with a very limited arsenal of weapons. There's roughly 6 weapons in the game you can use, one gun is only seen in second level and one is so rare that it might as well not exist.
When playing a shooter I expect one thing, my gun shoots where I aim, however the bullets go where they feel like. When you aim down sights and start unloading you can actually see the bright bullets fly off into different directions and tapping to control recoil doesn't help to solve this problem, it actually somehow makes the recoil even worse.
The guns are also really bad. There's a small variety of them in the first place and yet they all seem to do the same amount of damage and by the end the only two guns worth having art the UMP and the LMG as they have the biggest amount of ammo in the magazine allowing you to just unload endlessly, with everything else just being worthless.
The game is also insanely easy, even on the hardest difficulty, however the bugs will make your journey harder than it needs to be. When you run into cover there's a random chance that either A) you will get stuck to it for whatever reason, B) you can't enter cover or C) go in and out of it which allows enemies to unload into you. The game likes to frequently throw sections where you're pinned down by a heavy gunner and have to flank him from cover and these sections are absolutely terrible due to how terrible the cover system is.
Also I have to mention one thing that I found incredibly funny. The game has an achievement which you earn by going and customizing settings. It feels like the developers boasted about how good their setting menu is, yet the only things you can change is the resolution and the audio slider, which is just insulting.
Verdict:
Global Ops: Commando Libya is easily one of the worst cover shooters I have ever played in my entire life. It's buggy, janky and just all around not fun. When I have no issue recommending something like Kane and Lynch instead of this game, you know you're one bad apple. So yeah avoid this game at all costs.

Its a game so bad its good ? well almost but not really, altho I do think that it doesnt deserve its really bad 38% approval rate on its store page, I just think its a below average, kinda bad low budget military shooter that plays like a poor man's gears of war (which isnt even a good game either) so to be a poor man's version of an already crappy and forgettable game and being even more crappy and forgettable game than the game its trying to copy just make this a really passable game overall, while its not the worst game I've played its still a kind of crappy game that I dont recommend and thats all I have to say about it, but I do think its score on the page is worse than it deserves.

- My biggest gripe I have with the game is that the weapons are not accurate enough for me. But if they didn't want to change that, then at least the bullet projectile accuracy with a single shot should be more accurate than when you are spraying, but it isn't. The gunplay would have been much improved with a simple change like this
- you can't change the controls
- overall lack of polish
Verdict
I'd recommed Global Ops: Commando Libya to players who are fine with clunky and mediocre shooters and some dumb action. Players who are looking for a high quality game should probably abandon ship right now and look elsewhere.

- Shooting is not accurate, you only shoot in the general direction
- Movement isn't very good and anything complex is terribly done
- Space bar works for jumping, getting into cover and SPRINTING
- Obviously, the above point will piss you off and deplete your sanity
- Controls are not explained and are not re-bindable...
- You got to change mouse sensitivity by editing a game file, WHAT?!
- Only 6 weapons, 2 of which you never really use, and no pistols
- Shooting sound is absolutely laughable in at least two weapons
- Voice acting is lacking, nothing sounds convincing
- Played max difficulty and finished it in 5 hours. Not hard
- Graphics from 2007 which glitching... sun flare...
- No options beyond resolution and windowed mode settings
Pros:
- Short story that is not that bad, but lacks depth and details
- Voice actors were nicely chosen and have decent voices
- Gameplay is a mix of cover shooting, rushing and vehicle fights
- Short, but in a good way as it doesn't extend it's visit for longer than enjoyable
- Many different places/settings which bring variety to the gameplay
- You get to drive a tank, shoot from a chopper and a boat
- Quite cool car chase scene which isn't unbeliveably hard
- Insane levels of ammo everywhere
Summary:
Game is.... not good. I had some fun, but I also hated the third person, the lack of precision shooting and the unconvincing voice acting. The game fails to deliver good gameplay BUT it does succeed in being solid in it's small story, having consistent and yet diverse gameplay and in being a quick time spender. It is also a stable game with no hiccups throughout the whole experience.
Short, terrible but decent would be the third words I would use to describe it
Veredict:
It's a must pass. Your money is better spent elsewhere.
I got this game for free, so it was a good price for me.
Anything above 1$ is a ripoff for the shortness and quality of this game.
