Welch unerwartetes Ende

While I wanted to like this game, ultimately, too many aspects made it fall flat for me, most of which can be attributed to age. I enjoyed the plot, world-building, and aesthetic concept of the game, as well as the innovative ability to switch between protagonists during the middle of the plot. I do wish that ability had more narrative impact, such as if learning one piece of information in storyline A helped progress a puzzle in storyline B, or something else that encouraged the player to actively switch between the two. Another big shortcoming was the lack of depth or attachment to any of the characters. Since I didn't really feel invested in any of the characters, the ending lacked the heavy emotional impact it seemed to be going for. Part of this was due to the lack of banter and/or non-puzzle related dialogue trees to subtly flesh out characters and their relationships.
Yes, many of the characters had amnesia or fabricated personalities, but if one of the conclusion's main points was that we are more than just our memory, it would have made sense to see characters show more consistent, defining aptitudes, temperaments, etc.
Finally, but maybe most significantly, the mechanics of the game make doing most things quite tedious (e.g. having to select the eye icon to inspect an object instead of having it be the default left click action, having to interact with external objects to check what's in your inventory) which is frustrating at points.

My expectations for the game were also high because of the quality I'm used to from Wadjet Eye, but, as I mentioned, this game is over a decade old so it's not entirely unanticipated or necessarily due to bad design. Gemini Rue is still a decently interesting game and I'm sure one which was groundbreaking at release.

Gemini Rue is a classic point & click adventure published by Wadjet Eye games. You get to play as two different characters: Azriel Odin, an ex-assassin turned cop who's looking for his missing brother, and Delta Six, a man in some kind of correctional facilities whose memories were wiped.

While the game's setting is sci-fi, its atmosphere is way more noir-inspired than straight sci-fi. The city may be built on another planet, but it looks like an American city of the 1940s drenched in perpetual rain. The architecture, the clothing - everything looks like it's taken out of a classic film noir. Only the correctional facility Delta Six is held in has a more classic sci-fi vibe, with sterile white walls and futuristic prison uniforms. It's a nice contrast and gives the game an interesting vibe.

The soundtrack is very noir-inspired too, with saxophone melodies dominating in Azriel's sections. Gemini Rue is a classic 1940s film noir transported into space.

The puzzles are usually pretty logical, not too hard but not too easy. Azriel's sections usually involve doing a lot of sleuthing, fitting to the noir atmosphere, while Delta Six's sections consist of trying to find out what's going on and formulating an escape plan. Of course, the stories of Azriel looking for his brother and Delta Six trying to escape from a mysterious facility are intertwined and you slowly piece together what's going on as the story progresses.

It's a pretty good story that asks questions about identity and what makes a human being into the person he is - classic philosophical sci-fi, with an intriguing mystery at its core.

Not fun to play, most of the puzzles have giant flaws that makes them very hard, not by design, but because it's unpolished. Like missing visual clues to illustrate what happened, or misleading dialogues. Everything is tedious, pixel hunting, sad, with cheesy voice acting.
I tried really hard to finish it, but it was so frustrating and boring I couldn't even listen or concentrate on all that was to read.
I'm not refrained by the graphics or the gameplay, I really appreciated Kathy Rain from the same devs with the same engine. But this one was once again uninstalled, and I really don't want to play it again.
With the same engine, you can check Whispers of a Machine that is really excellent and out of the ordinary.

Who thought cover based shooting in a point and click game was a good idea? The designer is clearly very proud of the slide this box over to step to reach something mechanic, because it's shoe horned in to a lot of places. There's a puzzle towards the end which is either terribly designer or ridiculously poorly implemented.
I'm generally a fan of Wadjet Eye games, but this was a disappointment. The writing veers into the nonsensical multiple times towards the end. The grey color pallet results in a lot of pixel hunts as you look for the slightly different grey thing - multiple items I only noticed by happening to move my mouse over or past it. It gives a number of locations the feeling of being concept art instead of finished artwork. Grey as lazy atmosphere for an allegedly noir dystopia, which never feels fleshed out, misses how Blade Runner and other games used color as contrast to the shadows.
The twist is predictable, if not implied by the opening, but overly coyly avoided in a way that made the reveal more annoying than mind blowing. This is eight hours of my life I'm not getting back.

It's up there with Machinarium in the modern realm, and Beneath The Steel Sky in terms of atmosphere, intrigue and setting. The graphics greatly enhance the ambiance of the game, and the story makes it a game that you will definitely revisit! A true classic... It's a shame that the creator will seemingly not be composing another game in the near future.

This game was disappointing. The story wasn't remotely interesting up until the final part, at which point it was really interesting and enjoyable. Unfortunately by that time I was mostly ready for it to be over.

Pros:
- Good voice acting
- The end of the story was very good

Cons:
- I kept getting stuck with the puzzles and ended up repeatedly consulting a walkthrough
- No hint system. If there was a decent hint system the difficulty probably wouldn't be a problem.
- The interaction system was occasionally annoying. You right click and then select how to interact (look, hand, foot, talk). If you double click you'll redo the last thing, which often isn't correct. There must be a less annoying way to do this.
- The story wasn't interesting up until the end. It just jumped right in without doing anything to get me invested.
- You can click escape to 'jump' to wherever you're walking. This resulted in me accidentally skipping conversations and having to reload to see them more than once.
- The escape to skip walking function is disabled at the end despite repeatedly having to go back and forth through sections. There doesn't really seem to be a reason for it either.

Verdict: 5/10

A high-quality noir thriller. Gemini Rue is evocative of some of the great old thriller movies of the past, blending hard-boiled detective drama, sci-fi and thriller elements seamlessly into something greater than its influences.

If story, pacing and atmosphere are important to you, then this is a must-play. While some of the mechanics and puzzles can at times be slightly clunky, nothing ever felt unintuitive. The graphics are perfectly dark and brooding, with an atmosphere of brutalist dread hanging over every location. While the personality of the characters was wonderfully imbued by the voice actors, the script was the real star of the show.

I'll be thinking about the questions this one raises for a while. I envy people playing this for the first time... do yourself a favour and put a few hours aside to experience this gem.

Atmospheric. Great dialogue. Engaging story with a couple of twists up it's sleeve. Logical puzzles with logical solutions. The puzzles were challenging enough to make me think for a while. I didn't get stuck anywhere.

Stylistically this was a lot in the vein of movies like Blade Runner, The Island and Fortress,

Only fault I found was towards the end. You are supposed to command a person to do something, but you can't see the item he has in his inventory. This makes the action you are supposed to tell him to do make no sense. Other than that, flawless game.

I wasn’t sure whether to give Gemini Rue the ole thumbs up or down, it was a close call but when I was writing the pro’s, I simply really struggled to find things done well enough to make up the three point minimum of nice things I aim for.

Set in a dystopian future, GR gives a really nice noiry style character driven point n click adventure. The game follows a few characters intertwined by a mysterious mind wiping station. It’s an intriguing story posing questions about who we are and what makes us, well, us.

Pros:
The story is interesting and has great atmosphere.
The game feels like an oldschool point and click, giving a nice weight to the nostalgia.
The game touches on some deeper philosophical ideas, attempting to provide an interesting debate.

However, Cons:
The game does nothing with its set up or questions. The ending is, frankly, atrocious. This is sadly a real waste of potential as the build-up is quite well done.
The voice acting ranges from passable to cringy. At one point I almost turned off sound so I could enjoy the story without it being ruined.
The inventory is so badly managed I have to ask the genuine question; did someone make it as obtuse as possible? Or was it designed for an entirely different game and simply never overhauled?
The forced combat elements showed an interesting and novel approach, but sadly detract from the game as they just aren’t challenging or fun.
The game is so ugly. Usually I don’t make negative comments regarding the look of a game, but whoa. This one is noteworthily bad. The over pixilation means if you want to play it in a view where it doesn’t look terrible, then you can’t find any of the tiny pixel objects (because 90’s point and click). Simultaneously, if you want to play it where the objects are big enough to see, you need to cross your eyes or down a bottle of gin to defocus yourself enough for it not to be offensive.

Suggested improvements:
Bind the inventory to the ‘I’ key, or, in fact, any key. Just let me open the sodding thing without having to click on something else first. Please.
A little more sound effect and atmospheric music wouldn’t go amiss in places, though in a lot of ways less was more in this game.
A bit more alternative dialogue based on decisions would be nice, and also providing some alternative methods of solving some of the puzzles would be good too!

Overall recommendation:
Thing is, I enjoyed this game. If you’re a point and click type of player I think you will too. If you’re an eater of stories I think you’ll like this one as well. Parts of it are corny and a lot is predictable, and some bits at the end are just bad. But it’s still a good shot at a compelling short story within an interesting world. If picked up in a sale for 1-2 quid, I don’t think it’s a waste. If you’re a bit more picky with your games, or you’re looking for something that’s well polished and put together, this is not for you.

All that said, I’m looking at more from the guys that made this. Hopefully as they got more experience their games have improved.

Gemini Rue is a sci-fi detective-noir style point & click adventure game. It’s retro in appearance, using pixel art graphics reminiscent of early to mid-90’s Sierra and Lucas Arts games. Its story, however, is more modern and gritty.

The game opens with a small cinematic of a character called Delta-Six, who is having his memory wiped, then switches to the first playable character, Azriel Odin, standing around waiting in the rain on an empty street. His short scene before playing informs you that you are looking for your brother, but not much else. It’s a little unclear what your role is or who you are in the greater story at this point, but that’s slowly revealed over time. Throughout the game, you’ll end up switching between playing as Delta-Six and Azriel Odin, discovering each of their narratives and how the seemingly unrelated stories intertwine. There are several elements to the overall story that seem like they’re meant to misdirect you as to your relationships with certain people and what your past actually is. This helps to keep you guessing in the game and eager to discover more about the characters. Unfortunately, this also leads to pacing issues that make parts of the game seem unnecessarily slow. The overall writing is decent and fits well for the tone of the game.

The design and story seem to draw some inspiration from the game Blade Runner. Some of the game’s background story even reminds me of elements from Battlestar Galactica and its prequel Caprica. They even have a reference to a Barry Adama in it. The Gemini Wars and their aftermath sound somewhat similar to those narratives too. I imagine anyone who has enjoyed dystopian futuristic stories and mysteries will find this game’s universe to be interesting. The pacing just doesn’t seem best suited to a game. Personally, I felt like the story would have worked better as a TV series slowly revealing information over each episode. The overall story seems to be trying to get you to consider the philosophical and psychological questions of “who are you?” and “what makes you, you?” Unfortunately, that aspect feels poorly executed.

This is a fully voiced game, and the actors did a great job bringing the characters to life and making them believable. If you’ve played other games by this developer, you’ll probably recognize some of the voices. The recording quality is good with no noticeable breath pops or static. The soundtrack is very fitting for the atmosphere of the game. It features mostly ambient sounds, like rainfall. The musical portions are modest, appropriately dark, and unobtrusive to gameplay.

Pixel art in this game isn’t the best; the color palette and pixel placement make for some odd combinations in some places that detract more than add to the visuals. It’s also difficult to delineate areas of importance since it doesn’t allow for great clarity and there’s no feature to highlight those important areas. This leads to some frustrating pixel hunting moments, but luckily not too often. While some of the backgrounds are really beautifully drawn, there’s a lot of repetition that makes exploring the world feel dull and small. For example, you’ll enter two different apartment buildings, but they look exactly the same. The apartments inside the building also look almost identical. It’s like the people living there have no real personality, identity, or individuality.

Similar to most other Point & Click games, this incorporates an inventory as well as options to look, talk, walk, and even kick, but they are all bundled together in a single pop-up. I would have preferred my actions be separate from the inventory, bundled together it just feels a little cluttered. There’s also a lot of unnecessary clicking that occurs to make things happen. For example, to use the elevator you have to right-click the call button, left-click to enter, right-click the control panel, left-click to choose a floor then left-click to exit. This could have been simplified to clicking the call button, having the sprite automatically enter the elevator, popping up the floor number choices and then automatically exiting the elevator. This is especially frustrating in the few action sequences that require acting quickly in a limited of time to act. A great number of clicks could have been eliminated and streamlined from this game.

The mini-games and puzzles are disappointing. Some of them are frustrating enough to require a hint or walkthrough. Others, like the combat mini-game sequences, are just not designed to be much fun. Their mechanics are simple and involve moving left or right from a cover position and firing. They aren’t particularly challenging, rewarding, or satisfying. There are many point & click games that include combat portions in some format, this just wasn’t a great one and feels very repetitive when you have to do the same thing several times over the course of the game.

There are 15 achievements in this game and about 1/3 can be obtained just by playing through the game. It is possible to get all of them in one playthrough, but it’s unlikely unless you use a guide. I got to 100% completion in two playthroughs, but I did need a guide to complete several missed achievements. The game will take most people about 6-8 hours to complete, but replaying it feels a bit tedious. Without the mystery driving gameplay, it just didn’t hold enough interest to make for a good replay. At full price this ends up being less than $2/hr of gameplay if you play through it one time. I think it’s a good value for the time and entertainment you’ll get out of it.

Gemini Rue is an ambitious sci-fi point&click adventure game with some design flaws.
I've finally managed to finish it after many years going back and forth and here it is:

PROS:
+ Soundtrack is good and merges with the atmospere.
+ A good sci-fi story overall if you can stomach a somewhat cheesy conclusion.
+ Voiceovers are ok.

NEUTRAL:
~ Pixel art. They do their job but im not sure we can call them pixel-art at all. Theres zero pixel precision, bad choice of color palettes there and there, it was like someone draw some mediocre art and auto-converted them to pixelart with a poor photoshop action-script; the feeling is just not there.

CONS:
- That gun mini game is an abomination. And man, i hate dying in adventure games, it takes away all the coziness of experiencing a story.
- Pixelhunting.
- Some overambitious and unnecessary mechanics that youll use only a few times. That box moving... Please...
- Tries hard to be larger than what it is.
- Some bad puzzle designs.
- Characterizations are not satisfying overall.

7/10

Just beware that Im being very generous with my score for the love i have for the genre. But in reality, it is a slightly above the average sci-fi story with bad execution. It has its moments but some mechanics manage to bore it down. Not WadjetEye's best but if you love sci-fi stories and adventure games, you can give it a try.

A 6h game with an interesting story but bad execution. Overpixelised games are not enjoyable especially if you need to click on 1 specific pixel to interact with. A lot of frustration with the playability of some action that should have been automatic/more straight forward in the execution. Basic exemples: using the elevator, could we not have automatically a popup with the level rather than having to click to the panel each time? When I am on the box, could clicking away on the ground made me go down the box instead of clicking on the box for interaction? When I am not strictly next to the object but obviously if I do the proper interaction with it, you could automatically walk toward the object rather then telling me you are to far (especially when there is no obstacles).
In conclusion, too frustrating to enjoy the game.

The game is brilliant in how it builds its narrative, well written, with some clever puzzling. For me, though, the atmosphere is so worn down as to make it not worth the slightly clunky and frustrating puzzles and 'gunplay'. I recommend Technobabylon by the same studio, which is the same studio a few years later with equal love and dedication but a whole host more know how.

Good story-driven game that feels very retro. The soundtrack punches way above its weight (The Winchester Building is a standout) and the plot scratches the narrative itch, though at times the controls feel clunky and can be annoying. Given that this is effectively a $1/hr investment (game should take you around 10 hours) you're getting more than your money's worth here.

At first sight, Gemini Rue appears to be some sort of old-fashioned Sci-Fi adventure. Two storylines, intertwined by fate, that take place in a dark and rainy world where every light source is cold and glaring. A dystopian world, empty roads lined with high-rise buildings, repellent and bedraggled facades on each side. Machines and technology that are meant to be advanced, for example portable devices close to nower day’s smartphones, but the game is now 10 years old and that is clearly visible. So, why play it if the graphic is washed out, the mechanics are fiddly and the story is nebulous at the very beginning?

Well, the game makes you feel more than anything else how it is like to live in a world resembling to George Orwells 1984. A state of total control, executed by the Boryokuden, where moving freely is almost impossible. That means for one of the two characters named Azriel, stealth and escape sequences are live-or-die situations and dying is more than just a possibility. But the game makes you try it again until you can escape the always watching eyes. Meanwhile, the other character is stuck in a hell that is dominated by sterile rooms ablazed with cold light, deprived of his memories and all his properties. There is little to no indication who you are and why you are in this place that is turning out to be some kind of prison, but the worst one as your only way out is total self-abandonment and a submission to the ideology of the leading elite. Probably. Because no one tells you anything, you need to get to these assumptions on your own.
The story is divided in chapters, each one with a goal that needs to be completed and interrupted by cutscenes that explain a little of what is going on. The game is fully voiced, one of the major plus points, because the voice actors did a really good job synchronizing for example a desperate, broken man who made many mistakes in his sad story of a life. The sound design is simple but adding to the atmosphere, and to conclude it is the atmosphere the game should be played for. Once you are in, a surprisingly smooth, eye-opening adventure awaits you.

CAUTIOUS recommendation here.

I haven't finished the game yet at the time of this review, but I'm pretty far in.

The overall atmosphere including the art, sound effects and voice-acting are top-notch. The story is captivating and the balance between stressful and calm moments is good.

Unfortunately with this great package you also get die-and-retry action sequences where unless you quickly figure out what the game wants you to do (i.e. find how to open a door before the bad guys catch up to you), you die. Or it's a 3-scene shootout and if you run out of ammo, you die and to the whole thing over. And of course the last time you were allowed to save was quite a while ago, forcing you to replay the same gameplay segment to go back to that short time window and try to make the right choice this time.
The interface is also needlessly convoluted, with a right-click + left click on the Hand tool needed for most common actions. Things like elevators require something like six clicks just to change floors. There's no way to show hotspots, which means a bit of pixel-hunting (thankfully, not nearly as much as some classic titles).

The bit of city you get to explore is interesting in the sense that it lets you loose and you have to piece out the clues yourself, looking up contacts in a searchable database. It's basic but feels less handholdy than usual, which is good. However, the logic to find out what is consistent or not is spotty. Sometimes you can shoot locks, other times you can't. Crucial elements you should interact with to progress are not always obvious, for instance there's one boarded up door you can get through with a specific action, but not the other close to it. And instead of blocking off or otherwise indicating the areas where nothing is to be found, the game has 4 to 6 floor fully explorable buildings... with nothing to find. But it's not going to stop you from trying to unlock every door because you're stuck and desperately trying to figure out what's next.

There's also an Othello-style puzzle which I found quite obnoxious.

In conclusion, I'd recommend the game as long as you're prepared to consult a walkthrough to cut on the backtracking and solve the odd annoying puzzle.

Got this game in 2015, played it for about 20-30 minutes, then set it down. Picked it up again 5 years later and played through the whole game and I'm glad I did. I highly recommend it for those who like the point-and-click adventure genre.

Gemini Rue is a point and click game that shines in the atmosphere it creates. The atmosphere actually feels dark and suspenseful, even in the 2D pixelized world. I also enjoyed the voice acting, as the character felt relatively in place. As for the gameplay, it is a typical point and click game where you go around interacting with objects and progressing the game. There are often multiple ways to interact with objects/people (though a lot of time they will tell you to not use a certain way - such as using a gun on a random person).

Overall, relatively fun game with an awesome atmosphere.

I'm feeling very iffy about this game. On a normal score scale it would be somewhere between 5/10 - 6/10, only for the reason that I really liked one aspect of the game - the story. The plot of the game revolves around two protagonists with completely separate gameplay but intertwined story. There are some nice twists and turns, some of them more predictable than others, but in general I felt invested in the story and wanted to see its closure. However, that brings me to what I disliked about the game. The gameplay for me was, most of the time, tedious and boring, especially in the prison facility chapters. The story was the only thing that kept me going, because I found the puzzles to be uninspired; too often the gameplay was just dialogue after dialogue with very little freedom in terms of actual puzzle solving. As a matter of fact, puzzles mostly revolve around just going to the right place and clicking on the right interactive object. I found the sets drab and repetitive - but that kind of adds to the B-movie sci-fi neo-noir atmosphere so maybe it is on purpose. Finallly, I have to mention the worst aspect of the game. The gunfights were just annoying puzzles based around timing, there is no variety to them at all, every gunfight is exactly the same, unnecessary affair. As a redeeming feature, the game autosaves before every gunfight so at least they are not a major setback. Still, I groaned each time the gunfight interface appeared on the screen. All in all, I found Gemini Rue to be a very middling game, where the negatives outweigh the positives just a bit too much.

There's some good story and great atmosphere in here, but the clunky interface, the badly designed (but thankfully few) gun fights and the not terribly interesting puzzles make it just not fun enough to be worth it.

What's this? A classic point and click adventure that never requires absurd leaps of logic to progress? A neo-noir with a focused story and a twist I didn't see coming at all? Man, what a game this is. I loved it. While it takes a moment to re-adjust to the truly old-school graphics, and the combat timings aren't always as reliable as you'd hope, this is a focused, well-written, well-acted and memorable journey I think almost anyone can enjoy.

It's amazing how this game has become one of my favourites, despite really being rather simple in gameplay scope and technical prowess. Kinda funny how that works, huh?

This game is a great game. Although being a pixel based game, it is really atmospheric and amazingly drawn. It is simply kind of a point and click game where you try to figure out what you should do in the circumstances but storywise it is very rich and fullfilling. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who likes pixel based games and looking for a different adventure out of those.

Beautiful classic point and click. Wadjet Eye is clearly one of the stars of the Point & Click genre, and to this day have made wonderful games of decent lengths that provide hours of entertainment for one or two players playing together. I bought this for my spouse as an anniversary present and we both absolutely loved playing it together. It was a lovely bonding and working together so we had a great time. All in all, I recommend playing this debut game of Wadjet Eye Studios. It is a solid point and click adventure that performs in a manner consistent with the best traditions of the genre.

A thrilling Sci-Fi story with an unexpected ending. I love a game with a well-crafted storyline and well-studied settings, and Gemini Rue definitely has it.

It is true that I found the shooting sequences a bit annoying and it took me a bit of time to master how to use the inventory. I also had to look at a walkthrough for some parts. But the compelling story made me forget all those aspects. The plot is just so good!

This is definitely a game to have in your point and click games collection.

Gemini Rue is a point-and-click adventure with a few action sequences were you have to press the right keys at the right time to win gun fights. Except for those elements, it's a classic adventure with a dark theme. You play as an ex-assassin turned cop who is investigating the whereabouts of his brother. You just have landed on the planet Barracus which is controlled by the Boryokudan, a mafia organization. The game is a genre mix of SF and film noir with your character seemingly descended directly from a Philip Marlowe novel. Theme and plot are the biggest strengths of the game.

Technically, Gemini Rue is nothing spectacular. It was programmed in the AGS engine and uses pixel graphics which are nice for fans of this but a matter of taste. The sound is appropriate but again nothing outstanding.

Most important for an adventure are the puzzles and those are mostly good. For the largest part of the game, I was able to solve them without any help. They got more difficult two thirds in. Or I got less creative. There are some unintuitive solutions which can be attributed to the way the adventure is controlled. When right-clicking on something, you have four standard options (look / hand / talk / foot) and some puzzles need to be solved with the foot or talk option where thematically it doesn't make sense. Talk with a door? This was the first time I got stuck for a longer time and finally resorted to a walkthrough. The gunfights have the potential to annoy but they aren't too time-consuming once you mastered the basics.

The story, ambiance and characters are well crafted, intriguing and feel fresh. I really wanted to enjoy this game. Unfortunately, the experience is very frustrating due to contrived puzzles, lack of teaching moments around critical features (I could switch characters?), wonky action and timed sequences. Trying all options in dialogues until you succeed feels dull and repetitive. Especially frustrating when it leads to a game over (pushing the door, not kicking in synch?). Especially unbelievable when people seem to forget that you talked to them and failed 5 times already. To sum it up: kudos for making an intriguing and game that feels different. Nostalgia should not be an excuse to neglect modern quality of life expectations.

Review by Gaming Masterpieces - The greatest games of all time on Steam.

Is this game a masterpiece? It certainly is one of the better narrative point’n’click adventures, rightfully residing among many Top 100 adventure games lists.

It is a thrilling sci-fi story, where you switch between timelines and multiple characters. Strong characters, compelling themes, tight plotting, fascinating dialogue… the game keeps you glued to the screen with rather simple puzzles and a few incredibly easy action sequences.

Gameplay opens with an ex-cop searching for his brother and the story of a convict trying to flee from an off-world rehabilitation center where the memories of its inmates are wiped to make them new persons. Later in the game comes a story twist that explains the connection between the two storylines and finally questions human nature and what defines a person.

I played through the game on an Android tablet, but I assume it is even better on PC.

Conclusion:
Classic adventure with stylish graphics, impressive atmosphere and one of the most well-crafted and interesting storylines.

This was awesome. I bought this and a few other WadJet games after finishing Shardlight.

I loved this. The soundtrack and mood were nice, it made it feel very future from the 80s if you know what I mean. I admit I had to use a guide on a couple of spots but that's more due to me getting used to these types of games. Learning to look and interact and all that.

I don't remember the last time a story threw me for a loop like this did and for that, two giant thumbs up from me. This was an absolute gem and I'm so glad I found it. Great job!

A very decent adventure game, with a cyberpunk setting. An interesting twist at the end though a bit predictable if you are observant. Definitely recommended for a weekend to waste.

My first Wadjetyegames game, and what a game it is. The story and setting pll you right in, guiding you through atmospheric levels and puzzles with very good VO and dialogue. Decent plot-twist that's fairly genuine.

Definitely worth twice the price.

A fantastic point and click sci-fi adventure. The story is great, the atmosphere and music are phenomenal, and the pixel art is perfect for this type of game. While, like all point and click games, you will get annoyed at missing obvious things on screen those occasional quirks don't take away from the overall beauty of this simple, short, and inspiring game. A must play for anyone who likes indie games, point and click adventures, and/or well-written plot.

Possibly the greatest gaming experience I've had in recent memory. A point-and-click adventure with a few gun fights thrown in. Don't miss out on this amazing game! You can interact with many objects in the world and select different chat options, giving this linear game an illusion of freedom that helps to immerse you into the world of Gemini Rue. The characters in this game are interesting and there is never a dull moment to be had as new characters seem to await behind every corner. Even the most generic npcs are brought to life as memorable characters in this amazing game. This game is a must have.
