Estaria feliz con algunas, nuevas extensiones.

The cute graphics, procedurally generated hex grid set-up, random encounters and more make the game feel like playing an elaborate board game but on your PC. The problem is that the developers came up with too many different ways to make the game difficult, and then made almost the entirety of the game luck based. Even the decisions that can be made come down to do I feel lucky to try this challenge without using limited resources (Healing, Focus, etc.), or do I want to try to use up these rare resources now and hope I get lucky enough to get more later? Almost all decisions have huge luck elements, and luck is not on your side most of the time.
Although the combats are challenging, the real difficulty comes with the one-two-three punches of:
1. You need to constantly do side quests and fight optional combats to keep up with the game curve
2. You only have a *very* limited time to complete each quest, which clashes with #1
3. Death is permanent. Either your entire team bites it and it's game over, or maybe one or two survive to raise the deceased which may not be possible and will further reduce your time to complete the quest even if it is.
From what I've read, having perma-death in rogue-likes was to make decisions matter and avoid ruining the game by letting people save-scum. However, there's too much RNG in this game to make that an appropriate difficulty mechanism here, as decisions just often come down to luck. The game would be much more enjoyable if they get rid of the time limits and/or the perma-death features, at least as an option in the difficulty selection. The developers have had about 50% of the players telling them this exact same thing. I had heard one dev complain that the time restriction was *critical* to the essence of the game, despite so many people begging for the option to remove it. Hopefully they'll listen to their players.

This game is a bit like DnD for lazy people. Mechanics are great, but there's pretty much no story. This isn't a problem if you play it together with people, and arguably even an advantage. Why? Because you don't have to keep track of a lot of stuff when you're playing. No confusion about what's going on, just gameplay.
On the downside, this is definitely not a game you should play alone, because there's basically no story.

So I'll just try to give a few pros about this game.
Multiplayer! This game has SO MANY options for multiplayer.
There's online multiplayer WITH CROSSPLAY!!!!!! This means if your friends own it on Epic Games Store and you have a steam copy, you can still play together via a server browser.
You got steam remote play, so your friends who don't own the game can play with you anyways just fine.
And there's local play too if you're wanting to play on the couch with the homies or something.
As a nice little cherry on top, the multiplayer games save, and can be continued in a single-player mode if your friends aren't available, and vice versa. Meaning I can start a single player campaign, and add on some friends afterwards. The many options for playing with others are a DEFINITE pro to me.
Now, onto gameplay. You have a variety of classes that have their own unique stats and passives. This encourages you to play a certain way with specific classes, but if you aren't a fan of, lets say, using a lute on a bard, there's nothing stopping you from grabbing a gun or a mage's staff and splitting off to sub-weapons. I love the flexibility aspect quite a bit in that regard.
Animations are very fluid, and combat CAN have a lot of depth if you let it. It's very RNG heavy, but you can easily stave off RNG by either using less high-risk/high-reward weapons, equipping better armor that makes your rolls way more consistent, or use a regeneratable resource called focus to guarantee rolls succeed.
Only downside is that the game's main story is inherently paper-thin, but that's true of any D&D-esque game. Since you're playing with your friends in the very chaotic worlds that can develop in this game, you can always just make your own story as you go.
8/10. Fun with friends. Had fun without too after hijacking their characters in singleplayer and instilling communism while they weren't looking. Also inflation is real in this game. Stock up on Godsbeard before it's too late.

Story-wise there isn't much. Like it introduces one and it's there, but it's there's not much to it and it's uninteresting. At least I felt that way. I honestly can't even remember what the main campaign was about.
This game is entirely based on RNG and that's a huge turn off for some people. Most of the negative reviews are because this is the way the game is structured. If you like trying to maximize your RNG chances or succeeding a 20% chance roll then I highly recommend this game. If you don't like the concept of RNG controlling everything then maybe stay away. Even if you aren't too good at the game there's a lot of game rule modifiers that make the game a lot easier.
I have yet to encounter any bugs in this game except the ones that attack you.
I think my main complaint for this game would be that, generally, you need to follow a balanced team comp of: healer, damage, and tank, to actually win. There's different comps you can try and still beat the game with but on the harder difficulties something like a full damage team won't work.

Namely:
Everything is too random the difference between good and bad rolls is the difference between campaign being a cakewalk and absolute nightmare
Character building is non existent: no new skills no choice of which stat to increase on level ups
Decision-making in battles is reduced to who to focus first and praying for good rolls
The most depressing part is they decided to sunset FTKMaker that means those problem wouldn't be fixed by community

At the time of writing this I'm just over 400 hours or more of playing, I've unlocked everything in the Lore Store and slowly getting the final few achievements. But regardless of all of that, its the people and the game itself that keeps me coming back for more. Trying different teams, different approaches to combat, dungeoning and questing.
I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys Turn Based game play, and an adventure they can loose themselves in either solo or with friends.
Thank you to everyone at Curve, Ironoak and the community in the discord for making this such an amazing game! <3

It's difficult to understand what you need to do better next time and often there isn't actually an answer to that question, just pray you roll better. The runs did not feel different enough from one another and in the end it just felt monotonous. I think i would have enjoyed the game more without the roguelike elements and a more focused path, the game just doesn't have enough variety in the moment to moment gameplay that warrants doing multiple runs in my opinion.
Overall it was a fun game to play with friends for a while but ultimately it started to get frustrating and i ended up feeling bitter about the time i spent toward the end due to the RNG element being way too strong as many other reviews have echo'd. It has a large amount of campaigns to play so If you really enjoy tabletop RPG's and have a lot of patience for bad RNG i could see this being a good pickup but for me i can't recommend it.

I think the core features such as character stats, abilities, items, quests, random spawns, dungeons, the probabilistic elements etc. are well designed. Personally I also like the art style.
The one major downside is the balance – the game can be pretty unforgiving even on apprentice mode. There is a strictly limited supply of healing items you can buy from towns, and at later stages you can use them up fairly quickly (unless you're patient enough to constantly reload for better RNG with that slow loading animation, which kills the fun anyways), the gameplay is somewhat linear as a result of a time limit in the form of increasing chaos pushing you to constantly go further. This makes the game unsuitable for a casual laid-back experience. Despite the flaw, I find the overall gameplay experience positive, so I would recommend it.
A shame that as of now, the DLC (with two extra character classes) is broken. I hope that the devs would fix the DLC.

I want to start by saying FTK is an amazing game for online co-op, and it's what really drew me into first trying it with friends. Up to 3 players total per game. You can play solo and control 3 characters, or coop and each have your own character for yourself. Communication is HUGE while playing co-op. You have to discuss everywhere you want to go, what fights you want to take on, how you want to progress the quest, etc.
For the King is NOT easy. Atleast not for your first few playthroughs until you start learning how everything works and learn from your mistakes, because you will make mistakes. However despite being difficult, the game is extremely FUN! The one downside to the game (that I am not against, but I've read other ppl hating on) is when you lose all your lives, the game is completely wiped and there are no 2nd chances to load and try again, and you start from scratch at level 0 again. I personally think it's a good mechanic because it FORCES you to improve your strategy so that you will be successful the next attempt.
Each game can last anywhere from 5-15 hours long (5 being if you're a pro and playing solo, 15 being learners in coop being slow, which is natural.) You can manual save the game when you need a break, and it auto-saves every round so you can always pick up from where you left off.
You have to balance between 1) leveling up by fighting as much as you can and collecting gold/supplies so you can be prepared for the boss/quest fights, but at the same time 2) you cannot slack and take forever to progress the quest because chaos enters the land every x amount of rounds that make the game increasingly difficult (which are able to be removed by progressing the main questline, it is very manageable at lower difficulties, hard to keep up with on Master).
It is very unlikely you'll successfully beat a story on your first attempt, like I said the game is not easy, but it is extremely FUN. Everything in the game is RNG-based. BUT you can increase your RNG chance. All of your actions are based on rolls (like D&D). There are many different skills, and all the different characters (lots of characters to choose from) have different strengths and weaknesses so you have to make sure the right person on your team does certain actions for the best outcome. You can boost your skills to have higher success rates by gaining armor and items via fights and exploring the map. The game has a lot of variables that you will learn with time.
There are 7 different games/maps/stories (whatever you want to call em) that all take on average 10 hours to complete, even on the easiest difficulty. So even just one playthrough on each map gives you a minimum of 70 hours gameplay, for $20 usd at full price which is super good. I got the game on sale for $8, but I would happily pay full.
The graphics are very, very good. Better than any other game I've seen in this genre.
Music is nice and chill but also tense in big fights.
Gameplay is very enjoyable and runs smooth.
Co-op relies HEAVILY on communication so you don't make any wrong choices!
Buy price is on point, worth the money. If on sale, amazing. If not, still buy the game!!
Playtime is extremely good. Atleast 70 hours only doing 1 playthru each map. Most likely more! I have 90 hours atm and haven't even beaten the Journeyman difficulty yet (1-up from easy).

The way you play the game is like this: you go on any adventure and earn points you can use on the lore store, where you get new items, buffs or new characters available on the next runs.
For some reason the game has a bug that deletes your progress at the lore store. When it happened to me, i googled it and saw people having the same issue yet in 2018.
I reported the bug from the game and from their website, even joined the discord server, and got no answer, 0 help.
Never had such a problem with a game.
I am editing my review after finally getting an answer from them (more than a month later).
They told me the lore store bug is a known issue, but sadly very difficult to diagnose. So they gave me some free lore points to redeem in game.
I decided i'll give it a try again and see if the bug is just a rare thing and i was just unlucky, or if it obliterates my progress again i'll make a new edit and let you know.
I'd like to think i was just super unlucky, because the game is great. Let's see how it goes, and wish me luck!

The game mechanism is largely based on dice rolling, where each slot (not overall) has a certain probability of success (determined by both the character's stat, and focus, which gives a stackable 10 boost to the stat for each focus used).
The art style of this game is reminiscent of Overcooked and Bomber Crew. The story line is relatively limited, but you do get some humor and medieval European vibe in this game.
As you've probably read in other reviews, the game can be challenging even if you play at default apprentice difficulty. But hey, you can always make the chaos less frequent and lower the inflation in the house rule. Doing so doesn't make you less of a player, because the default is arbitrary anyway, and we the gamers are the arbitrator of what's good and bad for us.
Would highly recommend to those seeking multiplayer co-op (though limited to 3p for now), and those solo.

A. Story
B. Relaxation
Why?
Because you WILL die, this game is a semi-permadeath, based on the difficulty you're on you have a number of 'lives' but those only apply if your party isn't all wiped out at once. If they are, or when you run out of lives it's game over and your work in that save is over. Save's deleted.
Don't play for the story, it basically doesn't exist, it's more like just a simple reason on why you're doing what you're doing.
Next,
This game FORCES you to progress, on all campaigns except Gold Rush and Frost Adventure, there is either Chaos or Flood which prevents you from taking your time. There is only a finite number of ways to fight against the Chaos or Flood and these will run out, and when chaos reaches level 3; you're practically dead as you become overwhelmed from chaos enemies constantly fighting you.
BUT, you can customize the frequency of chaos/flood to 25 rounds (1 round = 1 turn for every character)
Game is playable for 2 characters but you will be at a disadvantage as most bosses have 3 enemies. All other fights will come at you in 2v2's though.
Last note,
this game has a lot of RNG. All your combat is based on rolls that are based on the stat of the weapon you use. If you have a strength weapon, it will roll based on how much strength you have / 100. If you have 76 strength you have 76% to roll good on each REGULAR check. Bit hard to describe I recommend looking the system up.
Come for the challenge of cooperating with friends or by yourself to overcome the obstacles in front of you.
Perhaps that friend that's acted smart for years is suddenly revealed to be a complete F*CKING IDIOT.
Or perhaps you will have a group of intelligent friends who plan out their course carefully.
FOR THE KING!

I've been playing this entirely co-op with my friend. I think perhaps it could get tedious playing this alone when you have to control each character yourself, but for co-op it's really quite a lot of fun.
There are several campaigns to go through, but if I had any complaint it's that I wish there was more. It's not that there is not enough, it's just that the game is so fun I want more of it. There is a good amount of replayability because you can unlock more stuff through each play through.
It would be cool if they could figure out a campaign editor. It would be awesome if they had workshop support for user created stuff. Perhaps a pipe dream for a smaller game like this, but still.
This game is so fun, I just want more of it.

it's interesting, challenging, & fun ! it's quickly become 1 of my favourite games
side note : i foolishly tried to do masters with a different friend the same day as 1rst day of play - to then get my 1rst death early; outside of our 1rst campaign we are still in progress of- worth it ! ?

It may seem challenging at first but that challenge is exactly what hooked me originally. I found the game by watching a youtuber I've been following play it, since then I had become one of the original 5 Wiki-Founders and went out of my way to send as much praise as I could about the game toward others.
For the King is a Rogue-lite game with a hardcore feel of mid-game D&D mixed with a Tabletop and a slight sprinkle of the older Final Fantasy games tossed on top. There's Loot, Monsters, More Loot, Unlockables, MORE Loot, Interesting Story and even MORE LOOT.
Want a challenge you can enjoy with some friends and easily drop 10-15 hours on a SINGLE run? Maybe you wanna play solo and just get that rough dungeon delving feel you got from older games of it's kind. Either way, you're going to enjoy this.
Don't let it's Low-Poly skin fool you, beneath is a roiling beast which hungers for nothing more than to make you suffer (in a good way).
The Developers are actually incredibly kind and attentive as well. I ended up having a Hard Drive failure and lost all progress at one point, after putting in a ticket one of the Developers themselves directly assisted me in recovering my unlocks and lore progression.
Seriously, I cannot recommend this game enough.

It's a top tier turn-based roguelike, a lot of content and overall executed very competently. It doesn't feel like a JRPG though it looks like one (great for me because I hate JRPGs), it's got a whole lot of choice making (which is why I play RPGs), and the people who claim a lot of it feels like D&D are somehow not bs-ing.
Combat is surprisingly deep, and the style/animations aren't as bad as they look outside the game. The UI is functional, shows all info you need properly, and it's sad that we live in a time when that's praise and not expected. Same with controls which are good, responsive, layed out well, and include reasonable shortcuts. Also all equipped items are visible on your character which is very rare.
I'd say it's equally good solo and co op.

A pretty funny game tho haha. A good thing is, that you can save any time and play then again, if you up to do. So you have no time pressure. The game mechanic is good two. I really like the battle against the different monsters and that you have to look, what do I do, what would be good now, and what not so.

Its been such a fun experience, that brought us so many amazing, funny moments, with cute graphics and a somewhat wonky but charming combat system. Especially the dungeoncrawling aspect is entertaining and we always are hyped to find a cave!
Playing it on your own is okay but you really get the most out of it, if you invite two friends. The Lore-store (to unlock new classes, skins, weapons, encounters) keeps it really fresh, because after every adventure, you get to buy stuff that could really help you for the next time.
Even though the base goal of every adventure is sort of the same, it is randomized each time, meaning a completely new map and layout for each playthrough, which, together with the unlockable upgrades (which you get from an in-game currency you earn by playing!) just makes progressing even more exciting.
All in all, I love this game and I can only highly recommend it to friends who are looking for something lighthearted to play.

I havent played co-op cause i dont generally like co-op so i have no opinion there. There are some mechanics invented for the game that make it more difficult than others in its ilk.. Like the idea of chaos events on a timer.. scourge events that move the markets etc.. It can be really challenging.
So you both need to want a challenging game, that sometimes reflects the RNG but can be mostly overcome with planing and careful steps... this may be your bag.

Everything will have it's ups and downs and in all honesty it's a great game with good mechanics while also being hard on normal difficulty.
Plus the Lore Store is great, nothing is locked behind any actual payment mechanics, the more you play the more lore currency you can get which can be used in unlocking, new classes, attires, weapons, encounters, and in game objects.
This game is just done so well, I'd buy DLC for this in a hearbeat as I am sure it would be good.

I enjoy hard games like Battle Brothers and For The King can be frustrating at times and the rng can make you slap yourself in the face. Fighting new monsters for the first time or taking on the global crises can cause a party wipe and game over.
The chaos counter keeps you moving and you do feel rushed at times. What helped me in this game was to fight as much as possible and try and do the dungeons when you are one level higher than the dungeon.
FtK kept me coming back and made me want to see how far you can get and try and beat the game. A solid 8.5/10.

For those complaining about RNG, it's supposed to be like a board game. Dice rolls are RNG, which is why this game utilises it.
For this price, the game is an absolute steal and I can't recommend it enough. If you're expecting a game where actions aren't based on RNG and bad luck could ruin your run, this game isn't for you.
A useful tip too is the at the start pool gold to upgrade the pipe on a user with the Party Heal ability as fast as you can and have them support with beefy heals, opposed to everyone using herbs to perform low heals and depleting your supply quickly...I wish we knew this in my first game.
The only downside from what I can tell/thing that would be a nice addition is the ability to make your own custom campaigns, but apart from that, there's no faulting it for what it is.

This time, it hooked me. I played for five straight hours. The game has significantly improved over time, and the devs have added a lot of free content. The RNG seems a lot more forgiving as well.
If you're a turn-based RPG fan, this one should definitely find it's way into your library. I think I'm going to spend dozens, if not hundreds, more hours on this one.

A lot of negative reviews bashing this game because of unfair RNG. But, let me tell you something, they are completely wrong.
I've played on hardest difficulty, and completed various scenarios.
Each time I failed, I knew exactly what I did wrong.
Yes, sometime you miss a lot, but this was never the case why I lost.
Learning curve is steep. You need to try different setups, try to be fast or slow, move in pack of 3 characters or send 1 character to collect needed items or turn in the quest.
Since most scenarios have time limit, you will take risks, and this is why this game shines.
If you are a fan of rogue-likes and like to challenge your wits, this is the game for you!

The master difficulty is really challenging, I attempted 4 times before I finally pass it, and in each time, I save-loaded countless times. The only way I finally found to defeat the Boss is not giving the Boss any chance to invoke, which is to say let two roles(Scholar and Minstrel) constantly interrupt the enemy and the other attack. Even so, I still save-loaded again and again.......

Sometimes you barely make it out of a tough encounter due to smart plays from your party and you all feel great, since you beat the games challenge
Other times you fail a random encounter roll while on the ocean due to a skill check, run into an encounter of enemies 2 levels above you where before you act all 3 enemies focus and kill one of your units. (not the kraken, this boss is designed fine)
You didn't necessarily make a bad decision, but you get punished anyways.
It feels like the enemies are balanced around the fact that since they attack randomly, they can have higher accuracy than the players. As a result players often feel like they have to struggle with 80-85% hit chances throughout mid game while all enemies are 90+ accurate, so you have pirate captains slapping out 50 damage slaps every turn. End game is not as much as an issue since most units can max out at the 95 stat cap and then the game becomes easy, since there is less reliance on focus.
Besides the problems with accuracy and ambush/random encounters, this game is mostly fine. I really feel like Hildebrant's Cellar is the most fun game mode as a result since you ignore most of the overworld randomness and just focus on dungeon crawling and building your character. Frost adventure is also pretty enjoyable since you don't have to play as quickly as you do in For the King or Into the Deep, so you can take your time and just enjoy yourself if that's your thing.
...As a last note movement in this game takes way too long and negative weather forcing my units to moving 2 square a turn is torture. Having a method of moving on land at the same time with all 3 characters, just like you can on sea, would honestly make this game much more enjoyable (Horse carriage...? pretty common in D&D)
