Ansonsten...lassen.

The last look of your's, is straight down the barrel of a pistol.
Darkness ...
this will be not your end, it's the beginning, the rising of a good guy, or of a warlord, maybe even a neutral one. It's your game, its your desicion.

Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say
No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slip
For the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
It was early in the morning when he rode into the town
He came riding from the south side slowly lookin' all around
He's an outlaw loose and running, came the whisper from each lip
And he's here to do some business with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
In this town there lived an outlaw by the name of Texas Red
Many men had tried to take him and that many men were dead
He was vicious and a killer though a youth of 24
And the notches on his pistol numbered one and 19 more
One and 19 more
Now the stranger started talking, made it plain to folks around
Was an Arizona ranger, wouldn't be too long in town
He came here to take an outlaw back alive or maybe dead
And he said it didn't matter he was after Texas Red
After Texas Red
Wasn't long before the story was relayed to Texas Red
But the outlaw didn't worry men that tried before were dead
20 men had tried to take him, 20 men had made a slip
21 would be the ranger with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
The morning passed so quickly, it was time for them to meet
It was 20 past 11 when they walked out in the street
Folks were watching from the windows, everybody held their breath
They knew this handsome ranger was about to meet his death
About to meet his death
There was 40 feet between them when they stopped to make their play
And the swiftness of the ranger is still talked about today
Texas Red had not cleared leather 'fore a bullet fairly ripped
And the ranger's aim was deadly with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
It was over in a moment and the folks had gathered round
There before them lay the body of the outlaw on the ground
Oh, he might have went on living but he made one fatal slip
When he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
Big iron, big iron
When he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip

Your objective is simple: find the man who nearly killed you and retrieve the mysterious package that was stolen from you. Like in a detective drama, the game shows you the tracks to follow if you are looking to complete the main quest, but it doesn’t hold your hand. You can follow the story or simply explore Nevada like a wanderer. Even the first tutorial section is optional and can be entirely skipped.
This premise is not new to those who know the series well enough. As in every Fallout game we start the journey in search of something, a special item like in Fallout 1 and 2, or a close relative like in Fallout 3 and 4, only to understand that there is a bigger threath on the horizon. This traditional formula works greatly with what is the game best selling point: give the player the freedom to experience the story at his own pace. Obsidian probably crafted the most interesting plot of the entire series up to this date, filled with charismatic characters and well written sub-stories that show a perfect balance between mature topics and hilarious dialogues.
Contrary to Fallout 3, there is no clear distinction bewteen what’s right or wrong, which means that quests can be completed in so many ways without being able to predict any possible consequence. The reputation system that was completely missing in the previous game finally returns in New Vegas, with every single choice affecting how factions see you. Staying neutral is possible only during the first hours, as you will soon encounter different situations where you will be asked to choose one side. And yet, there will be many possibilities to betray the faction you joined or simply refuse to support anyone (if you prefer being a lone wolf).
Having a bad reputation with a faction will obviously lead them to shoot you on sight. There is also a more traditional karma system that is entirely based on your actions. Killing mutants and criminals may reward you with positive karma, while stealing and robbing NPCs only gives negative karma, even when you are not caught in the process. This could potentially block some side quests if your karma level is too low and people don’t trust you enough.
Gameplay-wise the game still features an hybrid first/third person view. You can approach enemies in real time like any FPS or take advantage of the V.A.T.S system that pauses the time and gives you the opportunity to target a particular area of the body spending Action Points (AP). This system hasn’t changed much since Fallout 3, only adding smaller improvements when using melee weapons. Approaching enemies in real time is harder and due to the lack of shelters you will probably take more damage, while also dealing less depending on your aim skills and level. V.A.T.S, on the contrary, shows exactly the damage dealt and the percentage of success of your attacks, so it’s probably preferred to the clunky first person gunplay.
If you need help you can always bring with you up to two companions (one human and one animal/robotic), but you must arm them using your own inventory. They are not your puppets though; they all have their own unique quest lines that once completed reward them with new upgrades and perks. These companions can’t die, but only rendered unconscious, which makes them the perfect distraction. You can even give them instructions through the companion wheel, which is something that Fallout 3 was completely lacking. You can tell them to stay close to you or keep the distance, use melee or ranged weapons, be passive or aggressive, which is a good way to fix most of the AI flaws (unfortunately still pretty visible on enemies).
Outside from combat, we can also find multiple mini-games and activities. There is a particular card game called Caravan, which many characters play in Nevada, but I found it hard to get involved. Luckily, there are more classic games like poker, blackjack, roulette and slot machines available in New Vegas casinos.
For those who enjoy surviving experiences, there is an “hardcore” mode that activates basic needs (drinking, eating and sleeping), slower healing and permanent death for companions. And while it sounds fun and realistic, it’s a mode that I would discourage trying during your first run as it changes too many factors replacing the sense of freedom with the sense of constant danger. I’m sure that exploration won’t feel pleasant when you are starving in the middle of the desert with no food left. That said, it’s worth trying at least once and there is even a rare achievement for completing the game in this mode.
Fallout NV uses the same Gamebryo engine of Fallout 3 and that’s very visible. Graphics was already outdated for the time and may look worse now, but somehow it’s still saved by an incredible art and level design. Obsidian did a fantastic job creating detailed and believable communities, each one with their own style and way of living. For example, Goodspring looks like an old far west town where law is managed solely by its inhabitants. New Vegas, on the contrary, is a sin city ruled by gangsters and wealthy mysterious people. Despite being all part of the same wasteland, these locations look very different, mixing old world environments with futuristic tech.
While the level design is nearly perfect, the same cannot be said for the animations quality. You can clearly see the lack of details in characters and their clunky movements, which in some cases ruin the immersion. Performance is great and I didn’t encounter any issue playing the game on Windows 10. Launch day bugs and glitches have been mostly fixed with only a few left, like some items disappearing when dropped, a few NPCs getting stuck or the level of their voice suddenly rising during conversations.
The game is filled with many great atmospheric noises, though most of the time you will only hear the desert’s wind following the sound of your footsteps. Some ambient music will occasionally tune in, but for the most part the background sounds will give you a true loneliness feeling, which is exactly what anyone would expect from a post-apocalyptic game. Gunshots and weaponry sound feels realistic and you can tell the difference between a rifle and a laser gun from miles away. From your Pip-Boy you can also access radio transmissions, featuring late ‘50s music from legendary singers like Bill Cosby, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and others. There are multiple soundtracks recycled from previous Fallouts too, which is always great for nostalgic people.
Despite a few flaws mostly related to the engine limits, Fallout: New Vegas represents not only the best title in the series to this date, but a true RPG milestone, mixing the traditional gameplay with a new intriguing western setting and Obsidian’s excellent storytelling. The Ultimate Edition includes four major DLCs that increase the level cap and brings you to new different lands and adventures. Thanks to the incredible quantity of quests and decisions, the replay value is pretty high, and you will most likely feel the need to play the game one more time to experience all the different consequences and endings.

Fallout: New Vegas is one of the better, if not one of the greatest sci-fi/post-apocalyptic RPGs ever made.
But this port is terrible. More on that later.
Gameplay:
Fallout is a relatively known commodity at this stage, at least the Bethesda ones. I fear the Interplay Fallout games may be losing their renown — at least among the younger or non-nostalgic crowd. The itch for post-apocalyptic, isometric RPGs is getting scratched by a number of smaller indie titles. Such as: ATOM, Underrail, Survivalist, Encased — even the series that predates Fallout (Wasteland) is scratching that original itch better than Fallout is. That said, Bethesda's (by way of Obsidian in this specific instance) interpretation of that world is most likely better known by people nowadays.
Much like many other games that Bethesda makes, New Vegas is an open-world RPG. This time set in the Mojave Wasteland, which is comprised of parts of what used to be Nevada, Arizona and California.
The premise here is that you're a Courier for the Mojave Express and a man named Benny shoots you in the intro.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2585905523
Then... you wake up somewhere else. You'll be given a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. aptitude character sheet test, this time given to you by Doc Mitchell. (Same voice actor as Commander Bailey in Mass Effect.) — then the rest of game starts and you're off to find Benny and investigate just what got you into this mess.
Narratively it's structured similarly to Fallout 4 — insofar that you'll side with factions over an item and/or ideologies.
The Platinum chip in New Vegas... as opposed to the Courser chip in FO4. What you do with this chip dictates the course of the end-game.
Otherwise, the game is effectively a sandbox. You'll need to explore it yourself to see everything.

In earnest, there isn't a ton to say about the game, especially given its pedigree. I'd be hard-pressed to find someone unaware of this game that was not also unaware of video games in general. It's an absolute classic. And, quite frankly, I think the direction that Fallout 4 took has made this game take on a more revered position in gaming history than it may have originally sat in. But I guess that's just how things go sometimes.
Here are the mods I use to make Fallout: New Vegas operate the way it should in the first place.
I usually play with around 15 mods total. I'm not a big fan of heavily modded games. These are just a few of the basic mods I use to get NV running without stutters or crashes. And with some improved Quality of Life stuff.
Yukichigai's Unofficial Patch — This does general fixes.
NVAC — New Vegas Anti-crash — self-explanatory.
NVTF — New Vegas Tick Fix — This removes the micro-stutters that cause random and frequent FPS drops for seemingly little to no reason.
New Vegas 4GB — This makes the game aware of more memory.
There's one QoL mod that I found invaluable, OneTweak — this allows you play Fallout: New Vegas in borderless-Fullscreen mode — or what is effectively that. Otherwise playing in fullscreen makes it soft-lock should you try and alt-tab out. (Depending on your setup and configuration.)
I personally also use a few texture upgrades and UI tweak mods. That speaks more to subjective taste. However, I can recommend one called CASM — this mod cycles through auto-save files so you always have multiple files to re-load into if something should go awry. By default, it'll cycle though 20 slots every 5 minutes. And it uses its own save slots — it doesn't overwrite quick-saves or manual saves. I have a problem with getting really absorbed into the game, not quick-saving and then something completely random happens that ends up killing me and I have to replay the last 30 minutes. So this mod can save you some of that theoretical legwork. There's also a version of CASM that integrates the Mod Menu with added features — but the default served me fine.
Some of these might be redundant by the time they make their way to you but they're the ones that I use. I actually just leave this game installed most of time. Not all of them will utilize NVSE or the 'New Vegas Script Extender' but many of them do. I'm not going to write a guide on how to install that. It's the same as other Bethesda games, just Google it. It's not that hard.
I actually didn't want to review New Vegas because I knew at least half of it would end up being about mods. So it goes...

There is no Fallout 4.
There is only Fallout 1, Fallout 2, and then New Vegas after a 12-year gap.
Everything else is a dream. A nightmare. Cast these thoughts aside.
This is the game.

it was made. As you know, RPG style games with main and secondary quests have over 100h of gameplay, and Fallout and elder scrolls are games that have a large world to understand and explore, and even if one is interested, this series is up to 1k can be fun. This review is part of it for those who just want to get started! This game has a lot of weapons, some of which you can get by killing the enemy. Remember that skill sequencing is important in the game, and some quests require a stronger game character or gun. Remember these points, do not take any item or eat less radioactive material, because if your capacity is full, your running speed will be very slow, and if you eat too much radioactive, you will die if you walk, and if you do not have an item to solve this issue, you must save Clear yourself and play again. The game takes place in the Mojave Desert, the post-apocalyptic environment of Las Vegas, now known as New Vegas. The game environment is almost the same as the Fallout 3 map, but has more locations. It is used to convey the feeling of being dry and hot to the player. The game environment is war-torn, and this war, whether it is a big war or a war between different groups, has affected the behavior of the game's characters. There is a majority of them that can be mutilated and destroyed. You have a device in the game called pip-boy and to show items, weapons, map and ........ The best part of this radio is that its songs are so beautiful that you do not feel dry and tired of the flute.

The video below is for those who want to fully understand the story of Fallout:

I would have loved to write more because Fallout has more details than these words, but it gets longer and my review is not accepted, and at the end I show a few screens of myself from the game:

There is always something new to find in the Mojave, and there is a dedicated and ongoing modding community to be discovered. Big iron. 'Nuff said. Ring-a-ding-ding, baby.

☐ Don‘t look too long at it
☐ Paint.exe
The game is now over 9 years old and it shows; even when it was released it was known for its dead-eyed character models, janky animations and feeble FPS combat. Using an ENB with New Vegas Reloaded is highly recommend for increasing game stability and enhancing the graphics.

Wandering the desert, you'll meet friendly people, complete quests and kill aggressive monsters and thugs. After you have completed enough quests or killed enough enemies you will level up and gain new abilities through perks.

Fallout New Vegas focuses on the crooner-style Rat-Pack-late 50’s, as well as bluegrass and country music from the 40’s to the 50’s.

There are occasional pauses as you explore this gigantic world, and the frame rate tends to drop somewhat when there are multiple characters on the screen at once. A heavily modded game can buckle under the expectations of most gamers as the 32bit Gamebryo engine can take far less punishment than the updated Skyrim engine. Using the following mods FNV 4GB, NVAC, NVTF, New Vegas Heap Replacer will make the experience of playing the game a lot better.
• AMD Ryzan 3800X
• EVGA 1080ti
• 16GB Corsair dominator platinum DDR4

Hardcore mode makes surviving so much more difficult but also more of a challenge. You'll have to make sure you regularly eat, drink, and sleep. It's more realistic and offers a degree of difficulty that's hard to find later in the game, but it's not for the faint of heart.
---{Grind}---
☑ Nothing to grind

You are left for dead in the town of Goodsprings and after a quick chat with a local doctor you’re set free and begin a quest for vengeance in the Mojave Wasteland. It’s up to you whether you want to hunt down the people who tried to kill you, or just drift aimlessly around the desert.
Fallout New Vegas is a game that will make you really think about what you're doing, not through heavy-handed cinematics but through subtle plotting, clever scene-setting and the consequences of your own actions.
---{Game Time}---
☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee
☐ Short
☐ Average
☑ Long
☐ To infinity and beyond
The faction system makes it enormously replayable. In one playthrough you might side with the NCR to protect the Hoover Dam; in the next you'll buddy up with Caesar's Legion and help them capture it. And depending on who you decide to join forces with, some missions will close off and others will open up. Your allegiances really do have an impact on the game. Expect to spend approximately 120 to 150 hours to complete everything including the DLC.

☐ You could also just burn your money
---{Bugs}---

☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs
Most complex role-playing games suffer from technical hitches, and this one is no exception. However, the oddities aren't exceptionally disruptive, which makes it easy to stay invested. Following this Guide will help with any lingering bugs.
---{Ultrawide Support}---
☐ Full support
☑ Can play in 21:9 but needs some tweaking
☐ No support at all
Download and use IStewiel’s Tweaks. This comes with its own ini configurable document which enables you make the game more ultrawide friendly.

Still need to finish the main campaign and Lonesome road, but the DLC's are recommended without a doubt Dead Money has an emotional approach to its own lore and amazing characters. Honest Hearts is disappointingly short but has an amazing map, beautiful landmarks and a really good lore and characters, Joshua Graham included. Old World Blues feels tedious at times, but it's filled with interesting content.
Buy it, don't think just buy it, you won't regret it.

This game is addicting and interesting to play. I have invested an immense amount of time playing the main, side and free quests throughout the Mojave and was never bored. The game has a huge world to explore with so many decisions and quests that affect the ending. Every play through that I did had a different final outcome due to the enormous amount of options and decisions for a player to choose from throughout the exploration of this world.
The character personalities of Old World Blues and dialogue in this add-on were fantastic and I laughed out loud so many times during the quest. After having played the other add-ons of Honest Hearts, Dead Money and Lonesome Road, I thought that Old World Blues, with its characters, fetch quests, exploration and decision making, was wrapped up in an amusing bundle that was particularly distinctive.

And still, I had 17 achievements missing - until now.
I took a second trip to the wasteland, this time completing the House questline. And a third trip, joining Caesar's legion. And a fourth, supporting the Republic.
Surprisingly, starting all over was not as hard as usual - everytime, there was so much more to discover. There was rare loot, there were new sidequests, and there was so much well-written storytelling. Every named character has a unique and deep story to tell, and it all connects well and makes F:NV a true gaming experience.
Definitely worth the price, and tons of mods available to make it even more enjoyable!

For all its flaws, the amount of replay value New Vegas offers compared to other RPGs is nearly unparalleled. I'd recommend this game to anyone who wants to get lost in a great story with an incredibly detailed and gripping world.

Hardly spoke to folks around him didn't have too much to say
No one dared to ask his business no one dared to make a slip
For the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
It was early in the morning when he rode into the town
He came riding from the south side slowly lookin' all around
He's an outlaw loose and running came the whisper from each lip
And he's here to do some business with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
In this town there lived an outlaw by the name of Texas Red
Many men had tried to take him and that many men were dead
He was vicious and a killer though a youth of twenty four
And the notches on his pistol numbered one an nineteen more
One and nineteen more
Now the stranger started talking made it plain to folks around
Was an Arizona ranger wouldn't be too long in town
He came here to take an outlaw back alive or maybe dead
And he said it didn't matter he was after Texas Red
After Texas Red
Wasn't long before the story was relayed to Texas Red
But the outlaw didn't worry men that tried before were dead
Twenty men had tried to take twenty men had made a slip
Twenty one would be the ranger with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
The morning passed so quickly it was time for them to meet
It was twenty past eleven when they walked out in the street
Folks were watching from their windows every-body held their breath
They knew this handsome ranger was about to meet his death
About to meet his death
There was forty feet between them when they stopped to make their play
And the swiftness of the ranger is still talked about to-day
Texas Red had not cleared leather when a bullet fairly ripped
And the rangers aim was deadly with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
It was over in a moment and the folks had gathered round
There before them lay the body of the outlaw on the ground
Oh he might have gone on living but he made one fatal slip
When he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip
Big iron on his hip
Big iron Big iron
When he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip The Big Iron on his hip
