It's fun for the first time I join a server, but after I die, the game puts me into spectator mode and doesn't let me respawn, forcing me to instead disconnect and reconnect to the server everytime I die.
That isn't fun, and there is no solution anywhere I could find in the discussion forums, or on the internent.
I ran into this problem last year when playing the game, and coming back to it in 2022 to see that this bug is still in the game ruins it for me.
I do not recommend this game.

When you see this game you may wonder, ah yes. Another shooter game with meh graphics. BUT YOU WOULD BE WRONG! Double action boogaloo is a shooter like no other. It follows the concept of you kill each other with different weapon classes but what sells the game is that you can do crazy dives and backflips and all sorts of cool stunts. I could play for ages with my friends diving around the place shooting them it is a different experience to any other game that might include some form of diving as diving is the main function of the game. 8/10 would recommend to give it a try especially seeming that it’s free

Awesome crazy mad fast paced action packed fun. When you play this you don't care about winning, its all about the crazy stunts and fun trickshots. A great laugh with friends and fun alone as well, generally enough people online to have a good lobby. Some people are really good, but it doesn't ruin the experience at all.

Best part? It's free! Just get it, you won't regret it...

Was too good in a server, Got kicked and banned for 'hacking' when I just knew how to shoot a gun.
Had to uninstall because the server was the only one with players.

10/10 would 'hack' again.

within 4 hours of playing, this is one of the most fun games i've played in years. fistful of frags is great, it has atmosphere, you can go on a bloodbath but it isn't as fastpaced compared to this game. This game defines chaos at it's core. It's a shame the last update seems to have been in 2016 but the fact that it still manages to get a quick full server of 16 people is alright with me. Tons of official servers that could be revived. Anyways, great game.

This game... is fucking hilarious. The animations are so janky and you legit just have Nick from l4d2 up in this shit. The gameplay is pretty tight and you can get some great shots off with all the sliding and flipping mechanics this chaotic game has, its so fun to play this with a pal. Not all the maps are super great, some are better than others (specially rooftops, its a neat idea but using the shotgun in this map is a death-sentence since youre better off with ranged weapons in that case). I also found myself getting lost in the prison level, plus it didnt really flow together as well but its still pretty fun. Uh.... thats all i got to say really, its a free hl2 mod afterall so, try it for yourselves nerds.

10/10 amazing game, saved my marriage and brought my kids back to me. Also look out for Hawaiiboy11 in game, he is an amazing person and I hope he marries my daughter

This game is basically if Max Payne and Serious Sam we're somehow combine.

It was hard and confusing at first, but getting to improve and master everything in a short period of time really makes it easy when you play it more, It has a couple glitches and some problems to game play but that doesn't add up to the main point. The game is 6 years old and was kinda ahead of its time. It is fast paced, depending on what map you use, I can see a potential for this game. I love the selection of weapons and maps. Though, I wish there are a couple more features such as-

1- More maps
2- More characteristics
3- More weapons
4- Additional pickups ( Healing items or Items that can boost or help the player)
5- Bug Fixes
6- Better environmental physics
7- Using a better engine like Source 2 or switching to Unreal.

I hope this can help out the game. I love it despite playing for 5 hours, Its easy to adapt and understand the points of the game. I enjoy it a lot. Totally recommended because its free and actually reeks with quality.

Great game. sad to see the servers are dead. they should really breathe some life into this and bring it back as a fully fledged out stand alone game on its own engine. great ideas here.

Its a 3rd or fps where every map is DM, with some side objection during the game. The game rewards a player who does tricks and cool stuff and promets good gameplay. do try!
Would highly recomend this game, very good to play with friends or a DM online. Its fast space with a high skill cecling and good feeling.

great game, but folks don't understand how it works yet

I saw people get vote kicked for things that it seems your supposed to do like for example...

Dodge shots that where supposed to hit.

Camping, though in the kickers defence you were sposed to move after so many kills

Equipping the Mac daddy (good gun but needs balanced badly)

Talking, more often then not in a goofy mannerisms of funny voices.

and doing well with unorthodox loadouts and tactics including but not limited too
playing dead
melee only
Pistols and grenades
Mac daddy, sentinel 9, and grenades
Sniping (mainly with black magic or the sentinel 9)
Kill stealing
Going prone (debatable wether or not this was intended in the game but i hope it is, it saved my ass more then once.)
and collaborating with other players...

I would recommend this game to anyone but if you can not take that kind of wackiness, or if you take your gaming too seriously… this is not for you. But feel free to try-hard anyway, the high score board is there for a reason, just because your in it to win it does not mean you cannot have fun. Remember that, and enjoy.
