And it works - even on older systems, not keeping people from playing, just because their PC seems to be too slow (as DooM Eternal does, since Update Ver.2 - until then, I made it to the echelon-ranks, after updating, the game doesn't even start!?).

The mechanics are awesome and feel quick to learn and not so hard to master. Executions are the best.
What about the music? Incredible music for the gore you will see; besides the optimización is near to Metal Gear V.

I had only one problem, that plagues most of modern games. Difficulty level. The hardest level is too hard because of time wasting permadeath. And almost the hardest level is too easy because too many times you are unfulfilled when warmed up, with good amount of ammo and health, ready for the next biggest wave of enemies that never comes.

Killing got repetitive real fast after you unlocked all the weapons.
The story was okay, the metal music was too light.
It's the kind of game that has a really good hard mode.
I wouldn't recommend it for Christians tho.

Doom is a first-person shooter set on Mars. The default pace of the space marine is run, so the walk is a toggle on the keyboard. It illustrates that the game is designed to be fast paced. The object of the game is still the same as it was in 1993: shoot everything that moves and keep moving. The opportunity to crush demons after shooting them enough times feels satisfying, as it results in glory kills. It may look gross to see a demon explode, but the rewards are irresistible because you gain health and ammo while other demons are attacking you.
While the levels in the single-player campaign feel mainly linear, there are occasions that require you to backtrack so that you can find the proper keycard to move on. There is also a break in the action when you find secret platforms and secret areas that reward you with critical resources that will help you survive the onslaught of diverse demons. The resources can help your character’s suit, armory, and weapons. The ability to improve your character’s abilities is what gives the game a bit of an RPG feel in an FPS game.
There are some levels where powerups such as berserk, quad damage, and haste are conveniently placed, but they give you the feeling that many demons are lying in wait to ambush. It is this part of the level design that challenges your FPS abilities since these are the tensest moments. All demons great and small suddenly and desperately attack you. Some Imps throw fireballs at you while hanging from walls while different variations of the Mancubi attack you, Revenants fire rockets while on the ground and in the air, and agile Hell Knights try to chase and pummel you. Cacodemons no longer look like the tomato heads that they looked like in past Doom games as they look uglier than ever. It is this type of action that makes you care less about linearity or monotony that accompanies these levels.
The BFG, the most powerful weapon in the game, is available again. It kills many monsters at once, but the ammo is scarce, forcing you to use it wisely. Your strategic use of the BFG is crucial in determining how you will survive tense moments, including boss battles.
The graphics are part of the masterful design of the levels. The skies have great shades of various colors. Some of the secrets include the classic Doom levels that are stark reminders of the original Doom. You go from 3D design to 2D design upon entering the classic Doom levels, but the 2D designs look great in their own right.
Doom may seem like a simple-minded, straightforward game, but the tense battles make this game compelling, especially for fans of the Doom franchise. The level designs are appealing and the battles against diverse monsters make Doom worth playing from the first chapter to the last. The RPG elements make the space marine noticeably more powerful which makes this protagonist more fun as the game progresses.
My Score: 8.5/10

I initially came for the gameplay but found myself so enriched into the lore that I didn’t want to leave long after beating the game. I wanted to read all the testaments, codex, the different demons and their backstories. It’s all here I was amazed at how much was available and yet I could choose to never be taken out of the action and just obliterate everything in sight. This is what I call genius in the making.
From the gameplay to the music I can go on and on, but would still do it injustice. Once you boot up the game, get the feel of it and start running around, jumping from one area to another wreaking havoc while headbanging to the music, plus add in the crazy rich lore and you will understand why Doom is one of the best games to have been released this past decade.

They are rage. Brutal. Without mercy.
DOOM is a first-person shooter, serving as the eponymous franchise’s return to the fast-paced, demon-slaying action and sprawling map designs.
Everything has clearly gotten out of hand, yes, but it was worth the risk.
id Software certainly knows how to make great looking games. Lovingly detailed textures and models adorn every level, with especially convincing post-processing effects. I’m still majorly impressed by how sparks bounce off your held weapons. The lighting is top notch, from the brightest research labs to the darkest pits of the underworld, though a small number of rooms have unnaturally dark lighting. Enemies are recognizable immediately, thanks to their splendid animation and visual design – and they all chunkify gloriously when subjected to enough violence. Some form of texture streaming is most notable on your weapons at the start of a level, where they progressively load higher quality assets over about a second or so, and there’s an unfortunate tendency for several cutscenes to be full of harsh flashing images and lights.
Yet not only is the game positively gorgeous (even goregeous), it runs fantastic as well. Unskippable starting movies aside, on maximum graphical settings, my Ryzen 9 3900X, 64GB RAM, 1070 Ti, Windows 10 Pro system easily keeps a locked 60 framerate at 1440p in even the densest scenes the game has to offer.
Oh, but the feast is yet to stop. Mick Gordon proves, with just the main menu theme, that a chainsaw is a fantastic musical instrument. This title’s soundtrack is an awesome collection of some of the finest synthesized metal that one’s ears can ever be blessed with. Even the quieter sequences of the game are backed up by excellent atmospheric ambience. In short, the music absolutely rocks from the start and all the way to the end.
Really, no expense is spared on the sound front. Shotguns, heavy rifles, gauss cannons and big-freaking-guns: a splendid cacophony of thunderous death, all backed up by the chilling shrieks and roars of hell’s denizens. And before we move on, a special mention to the dialog, most notably Samuel Hayden’s intimidating voice.
May your thirst for retribution never quench.
All there is to know to get started is that demons have trashed Mars, thanks to exploitation of Hell’s resources and suspicious practices within the Union Aerospace Corporation, and you’re the only one around who can stop them. The story feels like a subtle parody of FPS trends, particularly through your character’s mannerisms. Impatiently knocking over a communication screen to cut dialog short, and smashing delicate equipment against the desires of the facility leader, are but a few examples of the triumphant characterization on display, with nary a spoken word from your marine.
Yet take a minute to read the ever-expansive Codex, and you might find the lore within to be simultaneously captivating and awesome. On top of this, copious amounts of dark comedy linger within the bowels of the UAC.
But you… You will be worse…
Ever missed the classic high-speed, projectile-avoiding shooter gameplay style of yore? This title has you covered. You have no need to worry about such petty matters as reloading, running or accuracy. There’s huge emphasis on staying on the move and being aggressive - if you dare stand still, you’ll be eviscerated blindingly fast, even with full stacks of health and armor, and to further drive the point home, getting close and applying extreme violence to your foes is the best way to recover resources.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2658002220
Ah, chainsaw! The great communicator!
Ideally, you’re swinging from mook to mook, bouncing from near-death and making use of your entire arsenal to survive engagements. It does feel like the game isn’t quite committed to such a direction, since fallen demons still drop health pickups for you if your own life’s low. The chainsaw is meant to restock your ammo in case you run dry, yet the static pickups and random enemy drops ensure you won’t have much need of it, even on Ultra-Violence. It might not be wholly practical, but it’s still hugely cathartic to rip open a troublesome Hell Knight when you get into a bind, then see the shower of goodies rain out of the gore.
Just make sure you mind your step. Platforming sections are a thing, and they’re… not that good. One small slip-up, easy to perform with the sluggish default air controls, and you’ll have to reload a checkpoint.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2659660473
Your affinity for guns is apparent.
The classic FPS-enthusiast toolset is provided within DOOM. You barely have to use your infinite-ammo pistol when one minute into the game, you’re given a shotgun. Your arsenal will expand quickly as you progress through the story; most of them have a pair of unique mods that provide additional utility when needed. Be sensible by slotting a scope on a rifle and remotely detonating in-flight rockets, or unleash a storm of lead with triple-barreled chainguns. Plenty of opportunity to make use of everything, with not only well over a dozen enemies to tear apart, but tons of challenges per level to upgrade your weapon mods with.
And how would you fancy expansive environments with sprawling maps? There are plenty of secrets to be found, including early weapons and upgrade tokens. Each level also has a lone lever you might walk past several times, even when replaying the level and looking to acquire all collectibles, but pulling them open will reveal some highly welcome trips down memory lane.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2658001746
You think the only way is to kill them… and you may be right.
As you upgrade your equipment and turn levels upside-down, the difficulty curve seems to plateau a bit past the mid-point of the story. Even as Hell throws its mightiest warriors your way, you become so absurdly powerful with just a little bit of exploration, that fights blend together in the latter parts of the game. Certain weapons also become nigh-obsolete, outside of a few niches – the poor plasma rifle gets little love compared to its railgun cousin, as a notable example. Not helping matters are the combinations of runes you can equip that make things like armor and ammunition a non-issue. You’re still advised to keep your wits about you for the awesome boss fights sprinkled around. These are proper tests of skill and pattern memorization.
Despite turning a bit too easy by the end, the campaign remains the star of the show. Eight-to-ten hours of visceral demon-slaying action, easily extendable if you’re looking for secrets. Arcade Mode is especially worth considering when playing through the story again; with only a few changes to map layouts and the inclusion of scores and multipliers, you’ll be making one Hell of a mess out of demons with speed you never knew you had.
Meanwhile, SnapMap is a platform through which users can create their own levels, complete with scripting tools to make new game modes. Its potential is there, but even the featured levels feel like they’re well below the quality caliber of the singleplayer. Multiplayer is also available and still reasonably active, should you crave for the standard affair of deathmatches and objective-based missions with others.
Rip and tear, until it is done.
With superb presentation, excellent gameplay and a wicked soundtrack, DOOM is a triumphant revival of the classic FPS. Nothing short of a glowing recommendation.

The flow, the enemy and weapon variety, the fast paced gameplay, the soundrtack it all slaps so does the Doomguy himself. The Doomguy kills and destroys everything in his way so fluently that you feel privileged to play as him. The combat is perfectly balanced, the map layout is so fitting for this kind of game even for the exploration part. The Doom is one of the few games that i collected every collectible and did every challange just because it is fun to do it, not because i am addicted to do it. On top of everything the feeling of progression (with its weapon upgrading) and it's enemy/map/structure designs are out of this world. This is indisputably the best arcade shooter untill you play Doom Eternal.

???? Introduction
Confession time: I’ve never finished the original Doom or Doom II myself -- I’ve just seen it done live. In truth, I wasn’t a fan of the gore and demonic theme in Doom at the time. I could handle it in small doses, but not an entire game’s worth. Still, I have fond memories of the game, including needing a boot disk to get it to run on my 386 PC, and admiring the level design.
After getting back into playing run-and-gun FPS with Wolfenstein: The New Order, it’s only logical that the next game to play would be DOOM. Was it wise for me to get back to being knee-deep in the dead so quickly after not playing such intense FPS games for over a decade? Let’s just say playing Wolfenstein: The New Order wasn’t sufficient enough of a warm-up to prepare me for what DOOM had in store.
☝???? But First…
DOOM is powered by the id Tech 6 engine. By default, it runs using the OpenGL API. With this setting, taking screenshots using Steam would render majority of the in-game graphics black. I would need to exit and restart the game in order to restore the graphics. Switching rendering APIs from OpenGL to Vulkan solved this problem, with the side benefit of much improved framerates. I’m not sure whether or not this issue is limited to AMD GPUs, but this is something to keep in mind when configuring the game’s advanced graphics settings.
???? What Was Done Well
As someone who hasn’t played a fast-paced FPS for a long time, I was surprised by how quickly I got used to DOOM’s gameplay, which the developers dubbed push-forward combat. The learning curve for push-forward combat was just right, with the game nudging you towards realizing that the ONLY way to play DOOM is to confront enemies head-on and to be moving ALL THE TIME. It’s as though the game is (re)introducing players to the rhythm of a classic Doom game after the more deliberately-paced Doom 3.
Want to avoid releasing the monstrosity inside a gore nest? The game won’t let you proceed until you’ve decimated all demons in there. Want to stay put and unleash a torrent of bullets upon your enemies? You’ll be quickly overwhelmed by the agile, wall-climbing, fireball-throwing Imps. All this happens within minutes of the first level. DOOM is definitely challenging, but fair. Checkpoints are plenty and predictably placed; enemies telegraph their attacks clearly; and demons have distinct physicality and movement that are easily identifiable. With the game introducing new enemies and weapons gradually, you’ll soon find yourself adept at playing DOOM.
Push-forward combat is what keeps DOOM brisk and engaging overall. What makes it shine is Glory Kill, a melee finishing move that forces players to close the distance between them and the enemies. Health and ammunition can be scarce at times in DOOM, so players will need to carry out Glory Kills to restore health. When performed with the chainsaw, Glory Kills allow players to recover ammo, too. Yet, with the chainsaw needing fuel to use, this type of Glory Kill has to be judiciously executed.
Grotesque demons aside, DOOM is a beautiful game. It combines the best features of Doom, Doom II and Doom 3, paying tribute to (or at the very least referencing) what came before, while exuding its own style. One thing I remember about the classic Doom games is how dark some corridors and rooms were. Even Doom 3 thrived on putting players in darkness. Not in DOOM. From the well-lit red surface of Mars, to the flickering lights in industrial corridors and rooms, to the glowing pools of lava, to the ethereally lit hellscape, varied lighting styles are used to create the appropriate ambiance for each locale.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2592941944
While many FPS are violent, DOOM is simply brutal. Yet, its brutality is used with restraint and purpose, and isn’t unnecessarily gratuitous. It feels like the goriness is not used to shock, but to be artistically expressive. It’s a fine line to tread, but the developers pulled it off. Even if you’re unfamiliar with Doom games, you’d feel the brutality is justified, mainly because you’re fighting demons that are simply hell-bent on destroying you.
???? What Could Be Done Better
At 13 levels long, excluding boss fights, I was never bored when playing DOOM. Yet, the game is simply a series of alternating tight corridor combat and arena battles. It got predictable quickly, and about two-thirds way through, it started to get tiresome. By the last two levels, arena battles feel less like well-orchestrated set pieces, and more like overlong onslaughts of all classes of demons. Overall, I feel DOOM is about a couple of levels too long, and it could have used at least one more boss fight to make it a better rounded experience.
It was truly a missed opportunity for the developers to constrain themselves to arena battles even in levels set in Hell. Not only that, the dark fantasy designs of the hellscape seem tame. I’m sure I’ve become desensitized to violent, gory and demonic imagery in various forms of media over the past 20 years or so. Yet, I was surprised by not feeling dread upon entering Hell in DOOM. There were no fire and brimstone, evil souls being punished for their sins, or other shockingly horrific elements. Perhaps this was done to show how you, the Doom Slayer, is so alpha that you don’t feel fear. Still, it would have been nice to be a tiny bit scared or astounded.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2592944168
While push-forward combat keeps things brisk in DOOM, upgrading the Doom Slayer’s Praetor Suit and weapons, as well as earning runes bring everything to a halt. Early on in the game, I was paralyzed with anxiety by how to best level up my Doom Slayer in the brutal landscape of DOOM. Should I enhance the suit’s environmental resistance first? Should I purchase the Charged Burst or the Explosive Shot mod for the combat shotgun? It’s hard to choose when you can’t fully visualize the impact and effectiveness of each weapon mod. The upgrade system may add some depth, but it feels unnecessary and somewhat obstructive as a whole.
Even then, I found myself mostly using just two or three weapons of ten in my arsenal (i.e., Heavy Assault Rifle, Plasma Rifle, and Gauss Cannon). Of these, I found the Micro Missiles, Stun Bombs and Siege Mode mods to be the most useful. Perhaps players with different playing styles would think otherwise, but with later level demons being such bullet sponges, even the iconic Super Shotgun feels weak and useless near the end.
???? Final Thoughts
Despite its overreliance on corridor and arena combat, and a few overlong battle set pieces, DOOM is a very well-made, adrenaline-pumping game. I began this game with some trepidation about its fast-paced gameplay, brutality, and highly confrontational combat. However, I ended up loving the way I was eased into the game’s rhythm, the manner I was prepared for the much greater challenges that lie ahead, and the compelling gameplay. Little did I know that I could still enjoy, and finally finish a game like DOOM after all this time. This is a game that I can easily recommend.

I'm not sure (the honor might belong to Doom Eternal IMHO), but what I can tell you is that it is the best first-person shooter that isn't Half-Life 2.
It's a return to form for Doom, a return to form for non-linear skill-based story FPSes as a whole, and one of the most fun and inventive shooters of the 2010s. Must-play.

However, for almost everything it's trying to do to replicate original Doom experience from 1990's it works like a charm: Weapons are great throwback into Doom 1/2 with new twists on them. The controls are smooth and fluid. There is a plethora of different monsters to smash and combat is always very tense. Any technical hiccups have been ironed out and the game is running 1440p144 all settings maxed out (scaler notwithstanding) with FPS right at the Hz cap on modern 5900X/RX 6800 system without any drops save for 60 FPS locked scenes.
Buy this game if you are a fan of fast-paced brains off styled FPS action and you'll be able to acquire it with a large discount. There isn't really that much content to play through as far as the single player is concerned. Thus the value isn't there if you pay full price.

Biggest gripe is how upgrades are locked between levels and can feel hard to get if you don't pay attention to that kind of stuff. Also unskippable cutscenes, thankfully there's some modded master levels that somewhat fix that when replaying.
There's also playstyles that I consider boring and or overpowered, like in most singleplayer games, but you don't have to use them to enjoy the game your way.

First of all, Glory killing is badass but its the lack of variations that really got me. While being able to brutally kill demons It is mostly the same couple of animations, I just couldnt feel the Hype anymore because it just felt too repetitive
What I also found boring was the lack of movement. The only thing thats available is just jumping, literally. No advanced mechanics like dashing, wall-running or anything like that. It just felt too slow when all i had was running for a fast paced combat game.
Except these two flaws it is a pretty cool game that i enjoyed overall.

One of the most popular characters in Doom slayre video games is the main character of the game. This game is worth playing even after several years and will never be repeated. This game has 16 hours of gameplay if you do not get stuck somewhere and pass easily, and even its active online section can entertain you for hours. Few people play doom but do not enjoy it.
For those who say that this series has a special storyline, I would say that a killing game never has a specific story. As I said, doom has tried more in the gameplay so that the player does not get bored of this game, and many games have used the gameplay of doom and made games.

This game takes place on Mars and there are evil creatures on Mars and we as doom slayre have the installment to save Mars.
The gameplay is great and many weapons are hidden or given to you at every step. The game has very popular boss fights alongside normal enemies. Example of a boss fight in this game:

Gameplay
You are the Doom Slayer. You are really quick. You shoot many kinds of deamons with a variety of guns. You can upgrade them to shoot even more and bigger deamons. Doom is divided into seperate missions with unique maps. There are many upgrades and collectibles to collect at each map (so as a feared Doom Slayer you can collect cute little toy slayers as a real badass)
Story
As I said, you are the Doom Slayer. You woke up on Mars to kill deamons. You are also very good at it. And that's all you need to know.
Graphics
Killing deamons on Mars and tearing them apart has never been more realistic.
Conclusion
Bullying all Hell has never been more satisfying. Also don't forget to check Doom Eternal to bully even more creatutes.

System Shock was a lot of things, but one thing it wasn’t was Doom. id software had released their groundbreaking demon-slaying first-person shooter the year before, and its relative simplicity proved more palatable to players than the seemingly complex cyberpunk adventure Looking Glass had offered.
A few weeks after System Shock's release, Doom II: Hell on Earth landed to critical acclaim. It hadn’t changed the formula, only tweaked it, and that was enough.
In retrospect, they’re all pretty amazing games that had a profound influence on the first-person shooter genre – and gaming at large. But strands of influence don’t always follow predictable paths; they ricochet from title to title, blending together and manifesting in often unexpected and surprising ways. Of course there are always exceptions. The clones, the copycats – but that’s imitation.
It’s 1999. System Shock 2, a first-person horror-RPG hybrid, is released, effectively building on the foundations of the original to transfigure the genre once more. The audio log was a key part of that transfiguration, powerfully evoking a distinct and unique setting – the Von Braun. They slowly painted a damning picture of the greed and hubris that brought the game’s catastrophe into being, revealing the fates of the crew and the few brave souls who attempted, in vain, to reverse it.
They didn’t know it at the time, but System Shock 2 would prove to be the audio log’s finest hour. From here on out it is a story of decline.
Fast forward to 2004. The first-person shooter would be transformed in manifold ways. Half-Life 2. Far Cry. Painkiller. Chronicles of Riddick. Halo 2.
And Doom 3. id’s follow-up to Hell on Earth was a reboot of the original premise, taking players back to a Mars facility besieged by demons from Hell. But instead of a shooter that felt like it had evolved from the intense, creative first-person gun play of the originals, id bizarrely delivered a dumb version of System Shock. With audio logs! Except worse, much worse. These drably written, embarrassingly all-male entries were meant to inject life into the Mars setting, but only compounded its many problems. They slowly painted a picture of nothing interesting at all.
id knew which way the wind was blowing. In the wake of Half-Life they didn’t feel like they could deliver a game that de-emphasised narrative, and seemingly looked to System Shock for answers. They wanted a horror game, but Doom was never a horror, not really. They ought to have looked more closely at the original Quake for that. Doom was bloody fun. Anyway, with an eye on narrative id obviously had a sense of how the market had changed but ultimately had no real idea how to create a game that was both modern and fundamentally Doom.
Consequently, it’s one of the weakest entries in 2004’s first-person line-up. It wasn’t System Shock and certainly wasn’t Doom. The reception was tepid.
Still, whilst Doom 3 may have disappointed I absolutely love 2004. I don’t know it yet, but it’s the last genuinely happy year of my adolescence. It’s where I meet my best friend and creative partner. He recruits me to work on a Doom 3 mod that’s aiming to remake System Shock with id Tech 4 (you can’t make this shit up, can you?). It’s never made. Probably for the best. It’s the year Half-Life 2 well and truly set the course for much of my creative life today. I forget about Doom but thankfully the modding community never does.
It’s 2016. I’ve largely ignored the AAA scene, spending what gaming time I have playing older titles – Doom and Doom II among them. I’m in Boston with aforementioned best friend after attending the Steam Dev Day conference, where the focus is almost exclusively on VR – another frontier I wasn’t paying any real attention to. I should’ve been. I learn there’s a new Doom and that once again we’re back on Mars. I barely stifle a yawn. It’s been over twenty-years since the first Doom arrived and we’re back to basics again? The bottom of the barrel has been well and truly scraped away by this point.
Or so I think.
I boot up DOOM on my friend’s computer, more out of curiosity than anything, prepared to pooh-pooh whatever is in store. I haven’t even seen a trailer for the game, just some screenshots. Cacodemons again? Yeah, okay, whatever.
Pity the fool. DOOM blew him away. Confident, stunning, and raw, DOOM created a visceral combat experience like no other I had played. It reconfigured the mythology of the series, leaning into its absurdity and turning the ‘Doom Marine’ into the ‘Slayer’ – a highly fetishised, deified figure who exists as the perfect distillation of the first-person player and their ability to conquer entire armies single-handedly. id flipped the middle finger at the wisdom that had led to Doom 3 and aggressively yanked the past into the present, gleefully littering their glorified arenas with colourful power-ups, secrets, and challenges.
It was Doom, but it felt new and contemporary, working hard to craft the player’s movement and actions into something that reflected the titan whose suit you embodied. The enfant terrible of this work is the ‘glory kill’, a manoeuvre where you snap to an enemy in its death throes and deliver a fatal blow. The animation varies depending on the angle and position of the kill, and a successful performance will merit an outpouring of bullets from the eviscerated demon.
There’s a narrative to DOOM, but it doesn’t give a shit about it. I’ve played the game to completion a few times now and I still couldn’t tell you what it’s about or who the characters are. I don’t care. Maybe you will, and that’s great. If so, you can tell me what it’s about. Demons on Mars and Ultron or some such, right? There’s even audio logs of a sort, but they’re closer in style and substance to that of a Warhammer codec.
Whatever. The UAC’s Mars facility isn’t a formerly lived-in space occupied by scientists. I mean, there’s some lip service in that vein, but that’s all it is. Lip service. The UAC is actually just a giant arena occupied by demons. And that’s all it needs to be.
It’s 2020. I’m sitting at my computer writing a review for DOOM and shamefully ripping off Kieron Gillen in the process because it felt like a fun thing to do. I only wanted to write a few hundred words but instead I’m at risk of brushing up against Steam’s character limit. I’ve certainly alienated anyone whoever tries to read it.
It’s been an interesting year for games. Hellish in all other respects. Valve released a new Half-Life title – a VR exclusive – that sent shock waves through the industry, in part because most pundits had buried the franchise for good. Resident Evil 3 was shamelessly remade and disappointed almost everyone. There’s going to be a System Shock remake this year, too, but I played the demo for that this morning and I reckon we’d be better off without it.
And DOOM Eternal landed to a generally positive reception. There was more lore, more “story”, more codec entries – logs with no audio – and honestly no one really liked that. The glory kill, though, was intact.
It hadn’t changed the formula, only tweaked it, and that was enough.
