Über das Spiel
In Deathgarden werden der Cleverness eines einzelnen Spielers die strategischen Überlegungen eines Teams entgegengesetzt – ein tödlicher Einzelgänger tritt an gegen ein Gruppe von flinken Läufern. Beide Seiten müssen ihre Fähigkeiten unter Beweis stellen und die Überhand im Garten gewinnen, der in jeder Runde neu generiert wird.
Asymmetrische Kämpfe
Kraft gegen Beweglichkeit: In diesem tempogeladenen Actionspiel muss ein starker Jäger fünf flinke Läufer zur Strecke bringen. Deren Ziel ist es wiederum, ihre Mission zu erfüllen und aus dem Garten zu entkommen.
Der Garten
Ein in jeder Runde neu generierter Garten: Die Läufer betreten die detaillierte Spielumgebung des „Gartens“, dessen Layout in jeder Runde neu generiert wird, freiwillig, um gegen den starken Jäger anzutreten. Jede Runde punktet also mit einem anderen Aufbau des „Gartens“, wodurch beide Seiten gezwungen werden, ihre Strategie immer wieder aufs Neue an die Umgebung anzupassen. Das verspricht aufregende und unvergessliche Momente!
Langzeitsupport
Gameplay geht vor: Deathgarden verfolgt den Ansatz von „No Grind“ beziehungsweise „No Pay To Win“. Neue Spielinhalte (Gärten, Waffen, Fähigkeiten, Vorteile usw.) sind nach ihrer Veröffentlichung sofort allen Spielern zugänglich.

There are many things that I like about this game
1. In my opinion, this is a better version of Dead by Daylight as the survivor/scavengers are not weak at all. They move fast and have their own abilities. Unlike dead by daylight, to be a great scavenger you need to learn the character's ability and use it to your advantage. In DBD, all characters feel the same with different perks and small abilities. Therefore, playing as a Scavenger in Deathgarden is more fun
2. As per the Hunter, they are well equipped to counter the movements of the scavengers. Maybe some of them is too OP. But they could have balanced them by having a training server like paladins or R6.
2. The maps are way bigger than dead by daylight.
3. Artwork is well designed and align with the theme
4. The movement of the hunter and the scavengers feel smooth and there is crosshair available. So aiming skills can be developed for both.
There were a couple of things that did not meet the criteria:
1. At first the game was overpriced. I was waiting for the discounts to come but they never did. At the end, I bought them when they were free but it was already over for me.
2. Lack of story and character build up. Maybe they should have slowly built up the characters so that people will have the time to grow on them. Like Rainbow Six Siege.
3. They do not have different modes of the game. There's only one mode, which is just the game itself. Now the game is divided into 2 modes. 1v5 and 2v7. But we cannot choose between them. They should have placed more modes like quick match and competitive which let people have their ranks and climb them to the top if they can.
4. Too much in game currency. They should have increased the prices for the items and characters so that people spend more time on them.
5. The matchmaking takes too long to wait. However, that was after the game died.
I honestly think that there were a lot of potential in this game. There has NEVER been a competitive game on the stealth genre. If the developers had put their time and effort on the marketing and focus on the competitive strategy of the game, this game would have been a lot of people's favorite game.
I would have definitely invest in this game financially knowing that this game has a lot of potential.
On that note, I would recommend this game to anyone that is looking for a competitive stealth game to play with friends. I really hope in the future BEhaviour or some other game developer can create a game like this and will go to their way up competitively to Esports

This game has been my favourite game of all time but also simultaneously the most frustrating game I've ever played.
I have supported the game since the beta and have had an active role in private playtests.
When I first played the beta I was instantly sold. It didn't take long to appreciate the fluid movement, beautiful maps, interesting abilities and game objectives, and most importantly; thrilling chases.
This game has a very high skill ceiling. It is difficult to make use of the character's full potential. As there is no matchmaking, I have seen new players incredibly overwhelmed and frustrated as they didn't feel like they were in control of their character. Especially in og dg if you were a new hunter, you would be stunlocked, literally. The balance was really bad, think unlimited NPI bad with next to no cooldowns (thank you NPI share). Safe to say we all know why the game died the first time.
However, devs really went out of their way to fix their game with the reboot: BLOODHARVEST. The release of BLOODHARVEST is still the best patch I've seen to date. But then it just slowly crumbled down again. New characters put the balance in whack (Dash, Granny) and they somehow made Inquisitor worse every patch (which I still have no idea why?). If it weren't for those three character's messing the entire game up, the game would have been in a good place.
New player retention was still as bad as it has always been though, for pretty much the same reasons. It got tiring seeing lobbies where difference in playtime between players were over 500 hours. Guilt essentially made me never play with friends as that would make it even more unbalanced. The reason we never got matchmaking is because we didn't have the playerbase. Kinda sucked because we lost players because of that too. Touché.
There are many other reasons why the game didn't do well but in my experience I was never bored. I had plenty of things to grind for, like prestige. I wouldn't have minded just playing to git gud. The game is very playable if you start hosting private matches instead, which I had been doing instead of playing the public games towards the end.
I am sad to see the game go as it had the best potential I've ever seen. Then again maybe the game wasn't for everyone, it was probably just for me.
