The Acid Spitter Drake is a fast, agile, and hardy pack hunter with an acidic bite that applies decay to its victims. Native to the Forgotten Forests, the Acid Spitter thrives in open grasslands and lush forests where it can stalk its prey. It's signature "decaying bite" attack debuffs its victims stamina and armor resistance making them slower and more vulnerable with each attack.

The Acid Spitter is a class 3 carnivorous creature that is capable of nesting and has faster than average growth times. Male and Female Acid Spitters look very much alike with males often having brighter frills which they use to attract females of their species.

Players who enjoy wearing down their opponents and debuffing tactics will enjoy this unique playable dragon.

While I do not recommend this DLC, I am in no way putting down the acid spitter drake, as it is a unique playable which offers much to the game. The only problem, is this should not be a DLC, as the game is insanely early into development, and a DLC just doesn't seem necessary while the game is still in a beta phase.

While Day of Dragons has made much progress, the game is far from complete, and a little lackluster compared to other survival games, and therefor a DLC in such an early state is a little...well, let's just say it isn't the best thing to do until the game is in a state where it is close to finished, or already complete. Also, the price is 8.99 CAD...the hell-
It's just not a good thing for such an early game to do, and until there are more dragons and more uses for the acid spitter, this DLC is not very relevant.

I do like the acid spitter, it's just a shame that it's a DLC. It is a good playable, it offers a sense of danger to the ground, making it seem as though you are never safe when you land. It is a ambush predator, making for quick jumpscares. And oh those sounds it makes- when your being chased, and they activate the decaying bite...it is horrifying. Playing it is also amazing, making you feel such power when on the ground in forests, waiting for unsuspecting shadow scales to land. But, of course, this all comes crashing down with the cost of a DLC for a game in a beta phase.

To sum things up, the acid spitter is a good playable, and a fun thing to be. I just don't think it is a wise decision to purchase the DLC, as it is way to early, and in the current state of the game, is not very practical. Once the game further develops, it may become more relevant to the game, but just not right now.

TL;DR: Acid spitter is epic, but it's a DLC for a beta, meaning you have no real need to buy.

the acid spitter drake is a fast agile but very very weak creature its nice to travel the map or to pve with your friends however when it comes to playing with it in pvp its to weak the lack of wings ground it making it almost usless against plasma dragons (the only once out at the moment) sure if your lucky youl be able to run fast enough to get away 1/5 times but when you finally get the first bite on a resting plasma dragon they 1 shot it a adult acid spitter gets singel shoted by a elder plasma 1 tap poof gone no fight i cant imagine how a fight with the bigger dragons will look such as the wyvern its just a scavenger not a fighter i will leave a negative review just because its so so weak in pvp i hope it gets a hp buff in the future.

DO NOT BUY THIS DLC. The in-game map is NOT made for terrestrial creatures. There is no way to hide or avoid flying foes which the majority of server populations are. There are no caves to hide inside and hiding amidst foliage and trees is pointless because players can (and do) turn the foliage to the lowest quality, making your animal pop out no matter where they are. Not only that, but the map is designed for creatures that can fly to navigate, meaning even the smallest cliffs will be a challenge for you to find a way up. Feel free to buy this DLC only if you want to have a bad time getting killed over and over again or to just chill in a non-PVP server.

If u like weird Dog/Alien/Lizard Hybrids this is the right dlc for u!

While the Acid Spitters aren't finished yet, they're really cool! I didn't expect them to be all that fun to play, but once I figured out how to use it, it's a lot of fun. These dudes can just go speedin' through the hills without a care. I knew they were gonna be fast runners, but holy crap I was not expecting them to go at the speed of a damn cheetah. Seriously, managed to outrun some Shadow Scale players chasing me multiple times. (To be fair, I was just lucky to have gotten away from them) They've got sweet aspects and mechanics going too!

Bile Ability: Spitting Acid
While I haven't been able to try this on someone yet (I miss a lot, ok?) I've tested it on some A.I. and it does a ton of damage over time.

Special: Decaying Bite
The decaying bite also does damage over time, and is pretty good for a hit and run. I won't go too much into details since all of this is already explained in the description.

The downfall of these guys is that in order to survive properly, you're gonna need to be in a group. A lone Acid Spitter tends to be easy picking for food. A pack of Acid Spitters on the other hand, is something definitely to be worried about.

the games coming along and the model looks good. its a good price for what it offers, other game's will ask a price in the 15 to 20 price range for this type of dlc in this type of game ( dont go getting any ideas now devs, this is still a EA version ).

when all the drama happend with its kickstarter i was wary of my investing in this game, but they are now showing true results out of true effort :)

i wil be intresed to see where we end up a year from now.

i love the acid spitter it was so nice and it was fun to run so fast and jumped so high if this was the only dragon in the game it wouldn't mater to me and the babes are ADORABLE!!i definitely recommend

This is very good so far, it has been on my wishlist for a while and my brother bought it for me, I think it's worth it personally, so if anyone decides to buy it, I hope they enjoy it!

The Acid Spitter Drake is an awesome looking design and fast runner. The babies are also super cute.
Will be awesome to see how its acid and bile bite attack will work and balance in the Genesis. Also excited to see how tail attacks will go, Im hoping you can spit on your tail for acid tail damage.

The DLC works perfectly fine for me, so I hope the few errors people are getting from the very early beta doesn't discourage you from purchasing.

so.it says the acid spitter drake is in my library it isnt;and when i try to play the dlc it doesnt work.so it has took my money and i got nothing.so i wouldnt get this.

Honestly, when I first saw the design of the Acid Spitter I didn't think I'd really want to play it, but after enjoying it for a week over the Open Testing I actually had quite a bit of fun with it!
It still needs work (which it'll hopefully get before the DoD Genesis update), but overall it's really fun to play as, its movements feel alright, its calls (animations and sounds) are really nice and easy to recognize and differentiate, and it moves pretty fast.
Hopefully it'll have its place/use in the ecosystem further down the line!

I am glad to see the Acid spitters and how well they are doing, as we know they are still not fully complete yet, but all the things they can do are amazing. The map that you used to let us life test, that's being added into the game looks so real, the fog that covers the lakes, and lower ground levels in the mornings, so you have cover to get drinks at night. I have never seen a survival game that has fog this good in it, if you climb the hills and cliff the fog goes away. It's an amazing feeling.

The tongue movement is something else it is so cool, how it always moves and flicks out of the mouth like a lizard or snake. The green venom for those dps bites is even coolers. You might want to put that on the last minute you can see the green from a good distance. So players will be able to hunt you down easier if you keep it on, especially at night. Love that tactic.

The Night vision they are using on the acid spitters is the most interesting and fascinating way to use that FLIR, in a survival game with dragons in it. Who really knows what dragons see like at night. The night vision effect makes me want to hunt more and at night, these guys would do well with that.

The acid spitter jumps are a good height, and you can jump leap downhill or off hills, can get like a good 4 bites in the air while jumping. So when the dragons come in, you can jump bite them even from the ground. And they are fast enough to catch them, I am guessing the stam of the dragons will drain faster when they bite. So the acid spitters can catch up to the dragons when they fall, But we will have to see what happens.

But from playing the acid spitters, I know a lot more dragons will be fun to play when all the dragons with different skills come in to play. Packing up either using clan system to do hunts or nesting, Elementals and Boss AI fights or to nest for good stats and good bloodline then hunt or pack up to take down bosses even, or just RP and chill. Will be long endless days of fun once the dragons get added from time to time and other things. But can't wait to see what these guys look like when they get alpha size!!!!!! and what the alpha brings to the table and ancient dragons!!!!!!!! I wonder what these guys will be used for those alpha boss fights with their venom when teaming up with other dragons with skills too. hmmmmmmmm

Being a baby is more fun then ever to grow now, all the different animations the dev team has added in to them, each stage is different. You don't need to click a button to grow either. You grow and survive over time. Hatching calls are different, there 1, 2,3 4 calls change as they grow.

Babies look cute like chubby baby animals like they should, they got the cutest baby walk too. They can sit, lay crouch, walk slow trot to save stam. they have a crouch to sprint run witch feels nice and grips to the ground, when they are running they have a nice lean to them to as they turn. The turning animations are not finished. But you will have to play them to see use your settings for help. Well we have an amazing feel and understanding, with what the game can bring and keep growing and getting bigger with more dragons and maps and things. KEEP IT UP WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!First dragon survival game wahoooooooo!!!!!!!
