It’s with great happiness that we’re deploying a new patch! Huge improvements were made on user interfaces, quality of life, balancing and animations, as well as a lot of bug fixing, including repairing the save system, and new content!
You can read below a list of the changes. There are many others that you may or may not notice, but they should make your experience on Chef Life all the better!

SMOOTHER DAILY FLOW
A shortcut in the market allows you to automatically make the same food order as the previous one.
You can also load the same basket as the day before.
BETTER QUEST WORKFLOW
There’s now markers to quest-related recipes on the research table and recipe book.
- Quest markers are displayed if a recipe needs to be leveled up to complete a quest
- You can filter recipes out recipes not needed in quests
- They're displayed on the preparation table so you now know exactly what to give to your brigade
- New feedback to show the progress of brigade members' levels
REWORKED THE WARMKEEPER
- Heat lamps are now a separate station from the warmkeeper
- The warmkeeper allows you to store a wider variety of dishes
IMPROVED THE DRESSING EDITOR
- Resize all ingredients that you've already dropped
- Improved interface and feedback
- Only 300 personalized plating max. New feedback to find the extra plating in the editor index
- Only variants compatible with the dish are displayed
NEW PHOTO MODE FEATURES
- More backgrounds colours
- New decorations, with different moods
- Interface had been reworked to offer better readability
BETTER DIALOGUES & NPCs
- New animations and visual effects to enhance dialogue events
- Improved NPC animation and camera movement when they arrive in the restaurant
BETTER MAPPING
- More interfaces are now clickable (PC only)
- Reworked the cutting board
- Reworked the meat slicer
- Improved rumble features
- Tweaked controls
IMPROVED RECIPE BOOK
- Improved the interface for readability
- Better sorting to find recipes by their status : new, still learning able to be leveled up
- You can filter recipes needed for quests
- Easily identify recipes that are currently being learnt
- The minimum/maximum grade a craft can get is displayed
ACCESSIBILITY & COMFORT OPTIONS
Added an Accessibility menu:
- Change subtitle size
- Toggle the HOLD action on mandatory inputs
- Can display longer the barks
- Display a voice indicator
- Turn off background animation during dialogues
CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION
- New appearances
- New haircuts
- New beards and mustaches...
- and above all... you can now wear glasses!
LAYOUT AND BUILD

Added a boombox, allowing you to change the background music.
