Auf welcher Schwierigkeit spielst du?
Es gibt 3 Schwierigkeitsstufen. Einfach und Normal sind die besten um ins Spiel und Genre einzusteigen. Die höchste schwierigkeit richtet sich an Veteranen in Spielen wie diesem. Die Schwierigkeit besteht darin, dass das Spiel jegliche Tipps nicht anzeigt, sodass der Spieler auf seinen Instinkt und seine Erfahrung nutzen muss.
Finde Mitarbeiter auf dem Arbeitsmarkt.
Während deine Firma anwächst, brauchst du irgendwann Mitarbeiter. Ein umfangreiches Arbeitssystem wird deine Produktivität steigern! Mitarbeiter unterscheiden sich aufgrund ihrer Erfahrung, Spezialisierung und ihrer Bezahlung.
Die Story: Wer wirst du?
Die Story des Spiels ist sehr umfangreich und erlaubt dir die Kampange in verschiedenen Wegen durchzuspielen. Du kannst als Gesetzestreuer und Verantwortungsbewusster Händler, welcher seine erfahrung mit seinem Onkel gesammelt hat, deine Firma ausbauen und somit deine Geschäftskunden zufrieden Stellen. Das gegenteil lässt dich die billigsten Methoden nutzen, Autos zu reparieren und somit den größtmöglichen Gewinn einzufahren. Wenn du den Weg einschlägst gibt es Kunden die von dir verlangen für sie ein bestimmtes Auto zu stehlen.
Wirtschaft und Handel. Worin investierst du?
Viele Wirtschaftliche entscheidungen liegen vor dir. Investiere in neue Mitareiter, repariere einige Autos als Nebenverdienst, oder starte vielleicht doch eine Werbekampange? Dieses System erlaubt es dir dich wie ein echter Autohändler zu fühlen, einer der in vielen Situatuinen nicht den Kopf verlieren darf wenn er wichtige Entscheidungen treffen muss die Zukunft der Firma beeinflussen.
Kartenhandhabungssystem und Mitarbeitermanagement.
Car Trader Simulator hat ein Karten- und Mitarbeitermanagementsystem. Du kannst spezifizieren, welchen in Straßen deine Angestellten unterwegs sein sollen, um Autos zu kaufen, reparieren oder sogar stehlen. Zusätzlich gibt es Zufallsevents welche das Spiel diverser machen. Um das Navigieren in der Stadt zu vereinfachen ist die Karte in verschiedene Teile aufgeteilt die diverse Speilmechaniken beinhalten (und die namen von bekannten Districts aus den USA andeuten).
Auktionen
Autos kann auf einem von drei Märkten kaufen. Alle fünf minuten können neue Autos ersteigert werden, doch es gibt Konkurrenz. Du brauchst nicht nur cash sondern auch ein Auge für das zu ersteigernde Auto.
Direktverkäufe
Ein gutes Auto zum verkauf zu stellen ist nur die halbe Miete, die andere hälfte besteht darin die Erwartungen der Kunden zu erfüllen. Mit jeder Konversation bekommst du neue Instruktionen, wie der Kunde seine zukünftigen Fahrzeuge bei dir haben möchte. Deine Aufgabe ist es nämlich den mit seinem Fahrzeug zufrieden zu Stellen, damit er wieder kommt.
Echte Autofotos
Das Spiel kommt mit einer gigantischen Fotogalerie voller echter Autos. Jedes Set beinhaltet ein Vintage Set und Modelle des gegebenen Fahrzeuges verfügbar in jeder kombination und Farbe.

Nach ca. einer Stunde hat man eigentlich alle Funktionen des Games gesehen und getestet. Dennoch macht es auch Stunden später weiterhin sehr viel Spaß und man vergisst beim ewigen Autohandeln sehr schnell die Zeit im realen Leben, daher Suchtgefahr ;)
Aktuell noch mit kleineren Kinderkrankheiten die das Game aber nicht sonderlich beeinflussen, man kann es bereits sehr gut spielen! Minuspunkt für die derzeitigen Übersetzungen in anderen Sprachen, der google Übersetzer lässt grüßen, das ergibt leider nur selten sinn ;)

Die Übersetzung in Deutsch ist teilweise absolute Katastrophe, wer darauf Wert legt sollte dies vorab wissen.
Einfach mal die Demo laden und schauen ob es euch gefällt. Für 10 euro ist es ok, aber es ist sicherlich kein Spiel das lange in Erinnerung bleibt, für zwischendurch aber sicher geeignet.

As a older gamer who has been around for awhile, I am calling it now. This game will be abandonware.
Developer: please, prove me wrong and make my review age horribly.
This game was on my radar during its pre release state and I followed it closely.
After the initial EA release three years ago, this thing never gets updates. No workshop, no major updates ...
The only action this game gets is the occasional review response from the developer to claim it's still in development.
Personally, I think they gave up on it and one person is assigned to damage control until they figure out what to do with it.
I played like 15 minutes, nothing about it appealed to me nor was it what i had wanted. I give up on the game and most likely Live Motion games, as they just don't seem very competent in basic updates, game communication or even the slightest bit of end user engagement.
I hope they find the fire to finish or even give a remotely interesting update about this game. I doubt that will ever happen, and have hung this game in my 'ashamed to admit i bought it' category.

TL;DR
6/10: Would be a seven, but the campaign only recognizes that the player has the required five sedans when all five are in a garage at the same time. (Never mind the fact car transporters can transport as many as six cars.)
Overview
In case the reader didn't already read the review ol' Il Pallino wrote about the demo version of Car Trader Simulator, the game features the player as a used car salesman in the likeness of New York City. The campaign features good, neutral, and evil career paths, but not enough information can be provided until the dang campaign gets fixed!! Even without a story involving fluctuations in reputation and lawfulness ratings (along with the ability to receive free cars) the sandbox still features the ability to buy (or steal) cars, repair the cars, and either directly sell cars to buyers over the phone or transport the cars to a dealership where they'll automatically be sold for 90% to 110% of the invoice value. Depending on how high or low the player's lawfulness rating is, the player can either unlock police car auctions or the black market.
Graphics and Sound
The graphics are certainly basic enough, and almost all of what the player will be looking at is a top-down map of the likeness of New York City that turns white during the winter months.

The sounds are all basic. Nothing special yet nothing game breaking. Normally ol' Il Pallino likes a nice loop of good lounge music, only the lounge music that plays in the background ain't good! The developers likely know this, which is why the music can be muted, and the player should play their own kind of music in the background.
Positives
The game provides good incentive for either going a lawful route or a lawless route, but no reward for being somewhere in the middle.... Unless maybe the player is looking to finish the campaign somewhere in the middle. Getting the lawfulness meter high enough allows the player to unlock police auctions which provide a third (and usually more profitable) method of buying cars. Apart from the occasional award being given for being lawful enough, if a player ever has a car stolen from their lot, the chance the police will recover the vehicle is higher. (One percent per every point of lawfulness.) If a player is lawless enough (which is done easily enough through buying stolen cars on the darkweb and having a car thief steal vehicles) this will unlock black market car auctions.
The whole process of buying cars, fixing them up, and selling them for more than they're worth is fun for anyone who enjoys a good management sim. The whole process of haggling with customers is fun, although this becomes tedious after awhile, but chances are, if the player is playing on the hard difficulty level and likely paid above invoice (dealer's) price then manual car sales are a must. (Manual car sales are also good if the player has been hoarding automatic transmission vehicles, along with hybrids and EV's.)
Despite encountering only very little of the campaign, ol' Il Pallino is quite impressed with the story, and while a good management game doesn't need any kind of a story, a nice story is always appreciated.
Negatives
Thankfully a true pause feature was added to the game ever since the demo, and while this mitigates the effect of being overwhelmed, the player is still likely to make mistakes by multitasking through auction participation, car selling, and ordering units around the map to do things like pick up and repair vehicles or drive over power-ups to boost their recognition, lawfulness, and/or employee skills. If the player is in the process of stealing cars, then there's another much more challenging task (on top of all of these other tasks) of having a car thief return to a garage with a car without being caught by the police. Admittedly, there were a couple of auctions ol' Il Pallino lost out on because he was too focused on haggling with a customer.
A campaign scenario requires purchasing five of a certain type of car for a buyer, but the game requires the player to have all five cars in a garage all at the same time or else the campaign will not advance. The only way this can be accomplished is to purchase another garage, but with the cheapest option available (outside of the original garage) being worth $25,000, the player is either going to have to play off of inside information and really grind, or take out a loan and hope they made quick enough progress in the campaign to where the cars get sold before the loan deadline passes. Even then, the loan interest is going to really eat into the player's profits.
Many management games suffer from inverse difficulty curves. (i.e. Starting out difficult and ending out easily.) Car Trader Simulator is another one of these games. The campaign doesn't put enough emphasis on selling cars to random customers or through a car dealership. While starting out is difficult at any level, it's entirely possible to make so much money near the end of the campaign to where players don't even need to buy and sell any more cars.
Conclusion
The developer wanted ol' Il Pallino to review the demo game, but didn't seek out his review for the full version of the game... They must have known that he'd find a bug or two. (Or were trying to lure him into buying the game, which he eventually did while it was on sale!)

I appreciate the time it took them to implement the color sprays and broke/repaired graphic mechanics on all those car lot stills, but I still get a giggle every time I catch an IRL auto brand or dealership logo in-game.

Car Trader Simulator is a game that I was quite excited to play after enjoying games like Production Line and Car Tycoon in the past, but it quickly became obvious that it’s nothing like those games and unfortunately not in a good way.
You take on the role of an ex-criminal turned car salesman with the goal of buying old, usually damaged cars, fixing them up and selling them on for a profit, which on paper sounds like it could be pretty interesting, but they’ve managed to make it the most boring experience I’ve had in ages.
The whole game consists of staring at a static map of a town which shows certain services scattered around that you can interact with like the scrap yard, your headquarters, your garage, car dealerships and so on. You have to micro manage each and every one of your staff every time you want to pick up a recently purchased car or collect the random reputation boosts that appear across the map.
You also have to manually assign a mechanic to each and every car you buy in order to repair it or change its colour, which is almost entirely pointless by the way since customers seem to buy pretty much anything in any colour anyway. It gets trepetitive very quickly.
To the left of the map you’ve got an auction window where car auctions pop up ever few seconds and winning an auction against competing bidders consists of nothing more than spamming bid until everyone else gives up. It doesn’t really seem to matter how much you buy each car for since you can easily sell them at a profit anyway.
In the lower right corner is your phone which is constantly lighting up with potential customers looking to buy a car, and you just have to vaguely match their interests with a car you have available. Maybe I just got lucky but even when a customer said they wanted a Blue SUV I was still able to sell them a Red Sedan at a profit without much trouble.
Before I forget I should mention that not only can you sell cars in a showroom or over the phone, but there’s also a couple of in-game websites where you can see your cars and you’ll recieve offers from people interested almost instantly even if you put it up at a fairly high price.
One of the websites is similar to Ebay and the other is straight up called Dark Cars which is supposed to be, well a dark market for cars.
Honestly the pictures they’ve used for each car are very clearly just real life images of random peoples cars from auction sites or maybe even google images, with the registration plates edited out and some cars have been painted over and it all just ends up looking really cheap.
They’ve tried to spice things up abit by giving the player the choice of being a legal businessman or a shady dealer, and you’ll occasionally get a pop up with some story dialogue featuring some horribly cliche characters taken straight from a B movie, and you’re often given a couple of response options that either increase or decrease your legality and reputation.
The written dialogue and voice acting is beyond bad, and the sound effects consist of a few plings here and there, a telephone ringing and the generic sound of a cash register whenever you buy or sell something.
On the plus side it runs great though that’s hardly surprising given that there’s basically no graphics at all with exception to some rain effects overlayed ontop of the map.
The whole game plays like a failed phone game and although it’s cheap at only 9.99 on Steam, in my opinion it’s still too expensive for what it is and I couldn’t play it for longer than a couple of hours before I just couldn’t take anymore. I normally try not to judge Early Access games until they’re finished but this is one I won’t be going back to.

For example, when repairing a car you have a choice to use scrap or pay for the parts but if you use scrap you pay the parts price anyway. Makes collecting scrap redundant.
The Dockyard doesn't give 3 cars every time like it says it will if you pay the extra $10000 for insurance. Making you lose a good chunk of cash trying to fix and sell those cars.
Also needs some polish with UI tips. There are a lot of things in that aren't explained in the tutorial or anywhere else. Maybe some hover over UI pop ups telling you what each element means.
Just as my preference it would be nice to have another employee type, a sort of car expert who can steer you in the right direction during auctions.
I wouldn't recommend it right now but definitely one to keep an eye on for strategy simulator fans.

When selling, the game tells you which of your cars is perfect for your customer and as long as you're selling at below 85% profit buyers won't leave and will always buy on second offer.
That being said , I wanna like the game but it's way to dull and sort of resembles a clicker game.
Also, the game really should be paused when talking to a buyer on the phone, it's kinda weird that bid's, my cars on the map and the buyer are active at the same time with me only having 1 mouse available (especially since the phone is blocking the lower right corner of the map).

I tried to make a Lets Play series to showcase just how good this game is and messed it up 3 times, but my 4th playthrough is going well, and the important thing to note is that not one of them have been the same, even though I am playing the campaign!
This is absolute quality and I just hope it gets the following in time:
1) Police cannot arrest you travelling opposite side of the highway
2) You can intercept police cars with secondary criminals (block the road or drive slowly)
3) When I drop a character out of a location auto select them please.
4) Allow me to cancel a sell car online
5) Have a price guide search/database
6) keep a history of all sales (purchase, repairs, details and sale price + profits)
7) Allow drivers to have multiple drops (pressing shift like thieves)
8) Allow thieves routes to be save and restarted
More ideas I cant think of but a great game!

First of all the pace is insane fast, u dont even have time to do all the task that happen at the same time. Answer the phone and negotiate , bid in market , check the mails, moving around the map, Its insanly fast for no reason.
When you use the mobie phone it cover the 25%-30% of the map and you cant do anything in that area unless you finish the phonecall.
Websites refresh every time you close and re-open them. I strongly believe the cars would stay there for longer than a second.
The auction/bid system is nothing great.
Its nice idea and i think it can be a nice game, but as the title says , its still early access and it really depends on how much work the developers will put into to improve the game.
Its 6.5/10 for now

I played the demo on stream, got hooked, and requested the key. We played it, and man it is a FUN little game. I think it's priced very well for its worth and recommend at least watching if you're interested.
I'm definitely a little surprised it's as engaging as it is. I was always flipping cars, shopping for new ones, repairing and moving others, and selling them in different ways over and over until it was 5 hours later before I even knew it. That's a really good sign.
It's not a triple A title, but it's also not priced like one. It'll most likely give you a nice weekend or two of fun, and for $10 I'm fine with that. I will say that the thief is great if you use them right. If you aren't near your garage, don't steal a car. Having 2 thieves, one with the radar and another that actually steals the car, makes it much more viable. I wouldn't mind having both on the same thief, even if I had to pay more ingame to do so, but it's not a game breaker.
The websites and cell phone really make the game better, despite appearances. I thought they were useless at first, but after 20 minutes I barely noticed I was using them as I flew through different menus to place cars for sale or take care of a buyer.
Make sure you look at the map legend to see what those icons mean; I missed that on my playthrough till chat pointed it out. It made the game a ton easier. The only suggestion for the dev I would have is maybe give more rewards to the player the further down a line you go, criminal or legit. They aren't bad, just it seems like there could be more to do if you go fully bad boy vs good boy, is all. It would be nice to see if you go legit the ability to get access to police auctions, wholesale car auctions, and the like. I'd also love more spots to buy car lots, garages, or a bigger map. BUT, it's fine the way it is, they are just wants, not complaints, against the game.
I got a fairly bit more value in the game than I was expecting for the price (and yes I know I got it for review after I asked) but I always put it in real dollar terms. I think the game plays great on PC, and if it could go on a tablet it could be a great little time waster on flights, bus, in line at the store, or at the in-laws during the holidays.
I will be making a small YouTube series on it, and that's saying something for a game this small, but it's got that one thing I like: the “Just one more car, one more turn, one more sale!” feeling. That's a really good thing and I wanted to reward it with a review.

MODALITIES
Campaign: The story of the campaign is influenced by 2 main factors: Reputation and lawfulness. Based on which action you take during the narration. The more you will cooperate with the police, finding illegal businesses, more points of lawfulness you will get.
While reputation points are based in customer experience in your dealership. Do you want to earn more money using second-hand parts instead of new? This will impact the trust of your clients in the city and the longevity of the cars you sold.
Sandbox: In this modality you just need to concentrate your forces in making money and upgrading your dealership with more stores around the city and more employees.
GAMEPLAY
Before starting your own business, you need to take some workers on your side. Each worker can be leveled up from 1 to superstar. You can increase it using the training center (fastest and expensive way) and make them just working in your workshop. You can choose from:
- Mechanic: the most important person inside, he will repair your cars with scraps (used parts) or money (new parts) and if the customer wants, paints the car. To be faster in his work, you can invest some money to take better equipment.
- Driver: He will be responsible to take the car you bought to the stores around the city and during the campaign making some little missions for you. To make him work better, you can buy a car transporter or a tow truck with more places for cars.
- Thief: In case you don’t want to pay for cars, the thief will steal them for you. But make sure to avoid police or he will go in prison and will need to pay for his release. You can equip him with lockpicks, computers, scooters, trailer and police scanners to make the stealing fastest and with less dangers.
Once you have your own workers, you need to buy destroyed or new cars from:
Insurance/police auction (usually the cheaper way with your own offers) or through reliable websites and black market (with a preset prices and usually more expensive than auctions).
Fun Fact: Devs took real photos of crashed cars around the internet and when you will repair it, the car will not be the same. Well they couldn’t do in a better way but it’s still fun to see.
Once the driver put the bought car in your store, you can choose if repairs with broken parts (scraps) or new parts (money). If you want to sell it easier, you can make an ad for it online. In that case customers will come just for that car and will be easier to dispose it.
The challenge of the game consists in buying the car at the right price, in case repair or modify and earn from the selling of it. Seems easy theoretically maybe not that simple in game.
CONTROLS
The game is just a point-click, the keyboard and mouse is enough and the best way to play it. Smooth commands and a user friendly interface, make the game easy to learn.
SOUND
The soundtrack is composed by very well made and relaxing musics. I could prefer more selection of music or a list where you can choose which one you want to run because I didn’t like some of them, but this is based on your own tastes.
An even better option could be to use your own music files inside the pc or even Spotify connected during the game session.
PROS
- Random Events: The game is full of random events than could may lose you money/reputation/lawfulness. So you shouldn’t never use all your money because sometimes one of these events could ruin your career;
- A huge choice of cars and different car manufactures inside the game (Suv, Hatchback, Sedan, Coupé, Van and supercars);
- Import a custom pic from your pc, making it the logo of your company.
CONS
- After completed the 2 types of stories in Campaign, could become boring making always the same actions just to earn money.
- You could encounter in some little bugs inside your own store or during the dialogues of the campaign. Nothing that make the game unplayable, it’s still in early access.
CONCLUSION
Usually I’m a casual gamer of racing games and I’ve never tried management games. In this case the game is related with cars so why not to try it? Well I’m positively surprised how I enjoyed the early hours of the game during the campaign. The little story (10 chapters) got my attention and I also enjoyed the background of trading cars.
If you aren’t really into management games try it with the free Demo, who knows, you could be surprised.

One big tip I'd want to give new players is to go to medium difficulty as soon as you can. It definitely makes the game a lot more interesting.
I also encountered a couple of bugs, not being able to open menu's and mission events 'misfiring' (need 1 driver, while I already have one in my service) but since It's early access that shouldn't be a showstopper.

Car Trader Simulator
Buying, selling, repairing, and stealing cars. From Diesel to Hybrid, from selling/buying them on an online Marketplace, Auction and even a Black Market.
You have to hire employees and manage them, they repair, steal or transport the cars. You can call customers who are interested in a specific car model/type to negotiate a price or just sell them in your own Car Dealership. Everything is possible.
When you want to buy a car, you get to see real car photo's, that shows the damage on a car with different angles. There are so many different cars, the game will not get old fast. After selling a car, people will leave you a review and these determine your reputation.
Add an interesting storyline in the mix and voila, hours of fun.

Once you get past that, figure out the few pieces you kind of didn't really understand from the tutorial it turns out to be a fun game with fresh gameplay and big potential.
While i have several things i would like to see improved i am still playing many more hours. Devs have been updating rapidly after launch and i've yet to have a single bug or issue.

Having worked within a dealership in both sales and service previously, the game does a good job in trying to simplify their replication of used car recon. Like in real life, you as the manager wants to pay as little as possible, and put as little money as possible into reconditioning, and getting it on the front line of the car lot or online for sale ASAP. Also always being on the auction tab, or paying attention to it, i know dealers that spend half their day buying vehicles similarly to this.
Having a wide variety of makes and models will give you more ammo to be able to sell to almost anyone that you come across when selling off your phone. I wish you could work multiple deals at once, perhaps reaching a certain level or achievement can unlock this?
