Finally picked up Advanced Warfare, and it's surprisingly better than I expected. At first I thought that they were going to have pulse rifles and futuristic weapons, but for the most part they are solid-slug weapons of today that are used. The optics on the different weapons are both visually appealing and accurate.
Overall a decent game. It is not mind-blowing the way MW2 was, but neither is it lacking in any egregious way. With Improved graphics and physics. Also, the CG graphics are stunning as well. I wish I could say the same about the audio. For some reason, only Treyarch has managed to figure out how to make weapons actually have sound. In AW, nearby enemies and allies all make muffled, tinny popping noises when they fire their weapons, making firefights sound lifeless and suppressed. The folks at Sledgehammer seem to have no concept of how loud guns actually are. Perhaps they need to spend some time at a range.
But, I'm little bit disappointed in the last mission, too simple to kill the last boss. Not an epic ends for COD.
I think the reason gamers are hating on this one is that it hasn't revolutionized the series. It's not the game-changer everyone had hoped for. If you go into it with the expectation that it will be very similar to past games in the series, with a few changes and you enjoyed those past games, you will surely not be disappointed.

But i cant say the good not say anything bad about the game so here is my thoughts
- When playing campaign when starting or when proceeding to the next mission, cut scenes has HUGE bug where audio dialog wont play for certain characters this will happen threw the entire game but only happens in cut scenes.
- In cut scenes the audio seems to fade in and out causing an issue where the player only hears certain characters talk on specific moments of the cut scenes and you hear the music more then the characters, this also is conjoined with the above noted issues i have encountered personally throughout my game play sessions, so you will have to get used to it.
- During some parts of the game FPS drops is common to happen especially, (in-game) in real time cut scenes not the loading cut scenes this also applies to audio delays when this happens as you will hear the dialog as normal but during the fps drops you will see the characters lips are not synced and they will be a tad late to say the dialog that already played.
- The FPS drop as stated above is a common issue but it's not actually a FPS drop as in still see 60+fps with no drops but the games code is faulty causing performance issues and this isn't a GPU issue its a game engine issue.
- Game crashing is a big thing to worry as during my play through i encountered a few crashes during the campaign, this may apply to other modes but only has happened in campaign, not sure why but when i do crash the game slows down and then freezes and crashes, only good thing about it is when you resume game your left off at the part where your game initially crashed so you don't have to play from the beginning of the mission again.
Beyond these issues it's a good game, you just have to be aware this game is old so it was built from an era where these issues may not have happen and since newer hardware is being released, it is possible the game cant catch up with newer high end pc's but that's my guess. As long as you are aware of the age of this game and it's issues and you are willing to let the issues not bother you, it's a pretty good game.

So starting with the campaign, I thought I'd mention that there was constant mini lag spikes but later on I found a simple fix and it was smooth from there. The first mission was kinda average but the second mission absolutely blew my mind! It's not really a level but more of a tour of atlas and it's so interesting to see how much detail they put into the environment, and they have a lot more levels like this that just let you look at the environment and I like the many details they put into it. As for the story they really do a good job at portraying how powerful the company you work for is before you inevitably rebel against it. Overall I have yet to play a cod campaign that I did not like at all and glad it still delivers. Not against the idea of a advanced warfare 2 if they ever release that!
As for multiplayer, I got the modded client installed for this game and even with that the servers were not that populated, although with the little I was able to play with it, I can see why people didn't like this title. You get so used to 'boots on the ground' gameplay that this in comparison feels very different and would take a lot more to get used to. Obviously I had not played this enough to actually judge it properly, but those were my initial impressions.
Unfortunately even though I had the modded client installed it seems that exo zombies is completely dead and I was not able to find any active servers.
Overall I think this game is still worth it for the campaign, but since servers are not very active I'm not sure if this is worth getting for multiplayer. Next up is black ops 3!

Now obviously the game has some issues. For some reason after the first mission I kept hearing a buzzing sound in the background. I looked online, found the problem and the solution (if your speaker frequency is 44100 you need to change it). And the other issue is that the game freezes sometimes and then it exits to desktop.
I recommend this game. Its fun, short and has neat features like challenges (stuff like kills, headshot, grenade kills etc) in the campaign so you can get points and upgrade your gear

This game wasn't quite as deep with its story as the classic Treyarch games were (though I'm not sure how the PC versions played, I always played them on the Wii) but as far as the Sledgehammer games go, this was stunning. CoD has always been cinematic but this game took things to the next level. However, the story wasn't the only focus here. The game has great level design and it refined the Modern Warfare formula. As such, this does feel almost like an indirect sequel to the MW trilogy, simply because the gameplay evokes so many MW3 vibes albeit with enough new content to justify calling it an entirely new game. In this game, you have an exoskeleton that allows you to pick a different loadout before each mission, with each exo allowing you to accomplish different, advanced feats. For example, there's one ability that lets you quickly deploy and use a ballistic shield, which gives you the ability to somewhat tank your way through certain spots.
In terms of level design, this game contained plenty of fantastic ones. One of the missions takes place in Santorini, Greece and it's downright unforgettable. The serene white-and-blue color palette of the town has such an awesome contrast with the utter chaos that happens during that mission. Another mission takes place in Iraq, in a new metropolis that has been built and you find yourself on the run from an enemy force, being chased through canals and other elements of the cityscape. There's even a mission that has a straight-up post-apocalyptic feel, taking place in a decimated city following a nuclear disaster. The list goes on.
Altogether, Advanced Warfare is my favorite Call of Duty game, it has some of the best level design in the series and it also has one of the more intriguing stories in the series. This all blends seamlessly with the highly refined, finely tuned gameplay that was developed over the course of the Modern Warfare trilogy, creating such a solid FPS that is criminally underappreciated. I honestly think the reason this game didn't do well is because the squeakers weren't over that modern setting... maybe not, but that's always how it felt to me, because this game feels significantly more mature than the MW trilogy in every way.
If you've ever enjoyed a CoD game, definitely look into grabbing this at some point, especially if you are a bigger fan of singleplayer FPS games because this game's strongest point is its singleplayer campaign, which remains one of the better FPS campaigns I've ever played.

????Gameplay | 8.5 | The Call Of Duty experience in a futuristic environment and high-tech weapons. |
????Narration/Audio | 8 | Good narration. |
????Variety | 8 | There is a lot of variety in the game, it doesn’t feel repetitive at all. |
????Re-playability | 3 | Multiplayer dead and campaign is short. |
????Price | 3 | Terrible pricing, not worth the base price because the story length is short. (Wait for a sale) |
????Storyline:
In the first mission of the game, you (Jack Mitchell, a US marine) and another US marine William Irons take part in the operation to stop the North Korean forces from capturing the city of Seoul. But during that attempt, you lose your arm, and your friend William dies. Due to this event, you are discharged from the military and then offered a position in Atlas (a private military organization) by its CEO Johnathon Irons and you are also given a prosthetic arm. But as the story continues, a lot of events happen and some plot twists are also there. Play the game to find the rest of the story. In my opinion, the story is decent, although there’s nothing that got me too hyped as I could easily guess what’s coming next. And for a 60$ game, the story length is only 7-8 hours which is really bad.
????Gameplay:
The game is set on futuristic earth where you have to fight hordes of enemies who are wearing high-tech gear and all sorts of weapons. I thought that the addition of this new weaponry will make the game different from other Call of Duties, but I was wrong. Even with all the modern stuff, it felt like I am playing a Call of Duty game. The core gameplay is the same as other COD games, but there’s a lot of variety in it. Control drones, even a big armored suit (I love that thing), drive different vehicles as you advance through the game- every mission you play, you will see something different. The shooting mechanics are decent, although the weapons have very little recoil and no bullet drop. And talking about the gear, you are equipped with an exo-suit which is a high-tech armored suit that allows you to do many tasks which are not humanly possible such as a double jump. Sometimes you need to perform synced kills with your teammates to maintain a low profile, but at the end of every mission, you will find yourself running from hordes of enemies. The game follows a “storm your enemies” approach instead of “crawl through grass” most of the time.
AI:
Now is the time I talk about AI. The enemies will either ignore your existence, or they will kill you on sight (very rare). Unless you go and stand in front of a huge horde, you can easily advance without getting killed in the game. Since the enemies attack in hordes, the AI is dumb so the game does not become impossible to finish. However, I prefer 15 intelligent bots instead of 30 dumb ones. Some enemies wear ASTs (a heavy armor equipped with many weapons) and there are drones too which try to kill you (although you can destroy them pretty easily). Even you get to use the AST in the end part of the game, and I can say it’s the best part of the game.
Multiplayer:
As the game is 7 years old, you already know the multiplayer is dead. The gameplay mechanics are kind of similar to the main campaign and you can fully customize your character. But what’s the use, finding a match is a nightmare. Even more frustrating, you need to buy the DLCs if you want to play other maps and content which are available in the game. You can still play private matches with your friends, but it is not the best game if you are into multiplayer games.
Exoskeletons or Exo-suits:
There are two types of exo-suits, assault or specialist. Both the suits have their features, such as Cloak (which makes you invisible for a certain period), a Shield (which can help you get to cover and recover your health), and many more features that will be introduced as you play the game. Before each mission, all your abilities will be shown which can be used in that specific mission.
Upgrade Points:
There are certain missions that you can find in the game menu, and completing them will award you with upgrade points. You can use these points to upgrade your exo-suit and other factors such as reload speed, sprint speed, recoil, etc. I highly recommend using upgrade points on sprint speed and armor first.
????Graphics:
The graphics are stunning, I did not expect that much from a 2014 game. Everything is highly detailed and the environment of each mission is perfectly designed. I just couldn’t believe how pretty the game was, and there were no game-breaking bugs. The only bug I saw in the game was a flying enemy (yes, his body was just mid-air doing nothing) and that’s it. The weaponry also looks amazing, instead of a small menu that shows the ammo, the ammo is displayed on top of your weapon on a transparent screen (of course, its advanced warfare). You will need a medium spec rig to run the game smoothly, but I would highly recommend playing it on a good rig since the graphics are out of this world on max settings.
????Main Pros and Cons:
Pros-
- Great Gameplay.
- Amazing Graphics.
- Futuristic weaponry and gear.
- A lot of variety.
Cons-
- Bad AI.
- Multiplayer dead.
- Terrible pricing.
- Short storyline.
✉️Miscellaneous Information:
Your Gear:
The weaponry available is not only “futuristic” because of the looks and design, but the features too. Some weapons have a thermal vision in the scope (named as Target Enhancer) and I just rushed to find one in each mission because they make your life much easier. The grenades are also not limited to frag grenades, but instead, we have smart grenades, EMP grenades, and even Threat detection grenades (using it will allow you to look at enemies through walls for a short period).
DLCs-
All I can say is do not buy any DLC at any cost, even on a sale. The game is already 60$ and now I have to pay more money to get more maps, what is this?
????Honest Rating:
I really enjoyed the campaign of the game, and I am pretty confident anyone who will play this game will also enjoy it. But the multiplayer is dead, and the story is short too. Buy it on a sale and I am pretty sure it will be worth it.
Rating: 6.5/10
(It could have been easily 8/10 if the pricing was somewhat better)

Awesome graphics! (if you can get it to work)
The graphics are very awesome to look at, especially when playing on high or ultra level graphics settings. The weapons, environments, human faces, all are near photo-realistic. Some facial expressions still feel uncanny and unnatural especially in cutscenes, but all in all it still looks great! However, the game is not very optimized for PC hardware, and there's a very high chance the game will have a lot of technical issues.
Nice gameplay
The gameplay feels good, just as expected from the Call of Duty franchise. The story campaign has a very nice balance on different types of gameplay, including classic cover-based action shooter, some stealth sections, playing on different vehicles etc. The level designs are pretty well done and enjoyable. The futuristic setting also brings along a lot of interesting weapons and techniques, they are pretty fun to play with.
Story is boring and cliché
The character personalities are very one-dimensional, the plot narration are too compact, and the plot twists are introduced too early and too frequent, making the whole story telling to be very shallow. The game's cutscenes and music makes it worse. The cutscenes doesn't tell much story, it feels like they are there just to showcase the very nice graphics, and nothing more. The musics are integrated very badly. Too often, there are huge segments of the game without any background music.
Technical Issues
Despite having a moderately high-end PC myself, the game have many technical issues by default. It has very terrible screen tearing. If V-Sync is enabled in-game, it will cause a very terrible input lag. There are very bad stuttering and even random crashes. The mouse sensitivity behaves very weirdly, I suppose it was due to bad console port on the devs part.
The load time for each level are also pretty bad. It takes up to 2 minutes just to load a level (this is on SSD). Tolerable, but annoying.
Fortunately, thanks to the community, there are very good guides out there listing different types of issues and solutions for that. After spending some time configuring and tweaking, eventually I managed to play the game almost perfectly.
Also, the game takes up 60 GB+ of disk space! I'm glad that it separates out single player and multiplayer, so the game files can be smaller if you only play one of it. Still, beware of this fact especially when you have low harddisk space or slow download speed.
Conclusion
This game is not worth the full price, considering the bad story and the technical issues.
If it comes on sale, or when the price is further reduced when it is older, I think it is still a reasonable purchase (IF you have a good enough hardware to play on higher graphics settings).
My score: 6/10

You're given some cool exo-suit abilities but they are sorely underused and limited. On some missions you are given a booster jump but there is no reason to use it because the game doesn't provide any vertical vantage points, so you end up dolphining out of cover taking shots in mid air. It's a little silly. All the times the boost jump can be utilized are scripted.
The slowmo ability is useful but you can only use it a few times per level and most of the time it isn't needed cause the enemies spend the majority their time shooting at your allies giving you way too much time to pop them all in the dome.
The grappling hook is mostly scripted. There's one section that lets you zip around freely but it's a stealth section with no fighting.
The grenades are probably the coolest part of the game. There's smart grenades that heat seeks enemies. There's a threat grenade that temporarily lets you see enemies through walls.
The most unfortunate part of the game is it's boring level design flawed AI. They could have opened things up a lot with these exo suit abilities but as usual COD sticks to their guns and shoehorns you area to area and tells you when you can do what.
The story actually had a lot of potential but is obviously rushed and becomes utterly ridiculous.
Not enough stands out to recommend this and compared to the recent, fantastic MW campaign this one was a bit of a slog to get through.
