Über das Spiel
Ten years ago, Yejin and his sister Li went to practice martial arts under the sect of Wanfa. Since then, they have been far away from the complicated human world.Ten years later, the mysterious organization that claimed to be Void Legion invaded the sect, and then the world was in chaos, and the brothers and sisters were reinvested in the chaotic world. The sisters who are dependent on each other are taken hostage, and the disciples have been killed in one by one... At the moment when the bloodthirsty spell is opened, Yejin who knows himself, can he fulfill his commitment to everyone? And who is the last to be able to help the building, to save the devastated world?
In terms of combat, this game uses multi-weapon switching as the main feature, and for each weapon in different speeds, power and positioning, design a variety of different skills, a variety of skills combo, greatly enhance the game cool feeling, excellent hitting and handling feel make it even better.
The highlight of the level design is the form of random combination, that is, the scenes, monsters, equipment, and configuration of the props that the player is reborn after death are different from before, so that the game presents diverse characteristics, increasing the level variables and The game is fun.
The "Bloody Spell" system is that, Yejin uses special skills in the body's evil spirit curse to achieve various effects such as violent walking, bullet time, roar breaking, assassination execution, counterattack and blood return, etc., which is to enhance the character's attack power and auxiliary combat. And to simplify the battle, add to the character and weapon attributes, and some even play a role in determining the battle.
The system makes the combat part more flexible, more selective and versatile, while also ensuring the smoothness and refreshment of the battle. In addition, many interesting side quests, diverse survey elements, and mini games interspersed with them greatly expand the game's fullness and playability.
We hope to see ten different players in ten different ways. If the enemy's threat is too great, you can use the bloodthirsty skills, assassinations, flying props, scene agencies to destroy them. Finally, please be careful in this Survive in the game.

Gameplay: Dark Souls meets Metal Gear Revengance. Nice Sword-Fighting but a more punishing combat system. All in all, beating up enemys feels and looks nice.
Small Tweaks allow Character Customization and skilling.
There is still plenty of space and potential for content, such as more weapons, levels, enemys..
Some parts still need to be translated, only chinese subtitles (mostly in kind of hidden areas) even if the game is set to english.
I would love the game to get a little bit more content and some translation polishing.

Das Spiel bringt eine ca. Spielzeit von 4h (für ungeübte etwas mehr) mit.
Das ist schon mehr als die Kampagne eines COD :D .
Gameplay erinnert stark an die alten Action Adventure ala Soul Reaver , Blood Omen , Blood Rayne ,God of War etc.

Unexpected decent, my first thoughts were as usual. A cheap chinese game like 99% of them.
But this one here is a complete different case.
First of all it looks pretty good for an indie game without any support or investments by a big publisher.
Positive:
-The engine is pretty good
-Stable 120 frames without any drops
-The outfits are gorgeous
-Many different kind of weapons (A whip could be fun, since the boss is using one)
-Dungeons are quite well designed
-Easter eggs were pretty fun, need more of them
Negative:
-Resource hungry, it eats more resources than needed
-Some translations are still missing (that makes a few mini games quite difficult if you don't know what the NPC wants from you.
-It needs more different type of enemies with different patterns
-Sound effects are quite buggy and weird sometimes (hotfix)
Additional:
-Make deaths, knockdowns (to enemy and yourself) more impactful
-Dualshock layout for controller might be a good addition
-More items in general
-Equip affix crafting?
The game definitely should get finished, it's definitely the best chinese game that has been released on Steam so far. It literally beats every other chinese game I've seen over the past 15-20 years.
Respect, keep it up the game is fun.
Make sure to fix the translation errors (and some improvements maybe)
(Side note: the priestess is hot)

But with the full game having come out now, I can safely say that it... didn't get any polish.
There's minigames in this which honestly are so bad it's baffling. Pick a cup after I shuffle them, ring toss, janky shooting gallery, fill the cup to upgrade your weapons and rush hour? (I know, I was confused by this one too) And I wouldn't be bothered by them had they not been completely unpolished and jarring in nature, They have what feel like stock sound effects and rough animations and end up looking more like placeholders than actual features.
Fun fact, despite promising a full english translation, I assure you, there are still things which aren't translated, despite this game having fully come out (latest update being on Feb 9th as of writing this).
Credit where credit is due, the combat does have some cool combos and weapon movesets. But that's about all the praise I have for it.
The female model doesn't have interactive armor, it only works on the male model. I kept finding slutty outfits which were just flat textures clumsily applied on the model and named a bodysuit. There seems to be a bunch of easter eggs which ultimately, are so easy to find they feel jarring when you stumble upon them. The chests you find you have to unlock with a rush hour minigame, but there's a charm you can equip that completely skips it, which begs the question: if QA said that the minigame was annoying enough to warrant a charm that skipped it, why is it still in the game?
I gave this game the fairest shake I could. But, honestly, even if marketed as a horny game, it's not even worth a glance.
Don't bother, find yourself a better chinese hack-and-slash, I assure you, there are many.

Bloody Spell an indie Chinese action game made only by a couple of people, but the work done is really impressive considering the tiny size of the team.
First, the visuals are amazing and the animations are simply top-notch. The enemies models and characters are well rendered. OST is good and 95% of discussion lines are voiced in Chinese.
Second, the feeling during fights is satisfying. There are tons of weapons to use and skill to unlock by using them (like Skyrim : the more you use a weapon, the more you unlock skills).
Speaking of skills, you can also unlock passive and actives by collecting red orbs through the story. Active skills are like powers that helping your character to defeat foes, there are called Bloody Spells.
There are quite interesting mechanics like slowing the time, doing AoE damages or stun enemies. Passive skills increase life, increase damages, etc…
It's good to precise that you play a male character at first BUT you can choose a female character with menu and skin options. By selecting female character, the voice is also modified with female voice.
There is an abundance of costumes for female characters (but just a few for male) with paid DLC and unlocking in game. Not gonna lie my friends, most of them are “sexy” ones. Also, Bloody Spell provides a workshop with around 600 files.
Finally, you select the difficulty you want between 5 or 6 options. From ultra easy to ultra hard. Good to satisfy all players !
Well, let's talk about the bad thing now :
As I said before, Bloody Spell is made a small team (3 actually) and we clearly see that in the level design. 95% of levels are following the same pattern : corridor > pack of enemies > corridor > pack of enemies > corridor > BOSS, etc… Even there are a lot of secret places to discover, it's quite boring.
Enemies are the same through the whole game and they got massive health bars…
Bloody Spell is short, 10 chapters to complete with around 8 hours of playtime (but it also depends on the difficulty mode).
The English translation is a bit bad, not as bad as Google Translate but it can be improved. However let's be honest, Bloody Spells provides English texts so we won't complain in fact. Chinese games with English texts are so rare even nowadays.
On a final touch, I do recommend Bloody Spell ! For DLC, just buy a pack with discount instead of one by one, way more cheaper !

Well the story is told in a very basic tone I feel. You play as a ninja person who goes to save their sister, and you pretty much die at first, then you get resurrected like your Raziel from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, except your not deformed when you come back, you just comeback with magic powers called Bloody Spells. The story has a nice plot too it, I just wished they elaborated on it more, a lot of NPC's during the story to talk too though. It almost felt like playing a ninja like Dark Souls game. Which honestly not my favorite type of combat system, but it works in this game very well.
There is some game texts that aren't translated at all, but you will get the gist of what is being said though. The dialogue isn't dubbed, but there is subtitles which does help, though not all the dialogue is translated though as I mentioned before.
All in all, This game needs some work still, maybe some more polish, but its a game worth checking out. I had a lot of fun playing it, and will be going playing more playthroughs as well. Especially for only $25 bucks, you feel like your getting a Ninja Dark Souls like type of experience, and it is a blast.

1. I felt as the game is similar to Dark Souls and Link to some extent.
2. Combat is okay but not the best I have seen ⚔.
3. The graphics are great however optimization is not that amazing????.
4. The game could get intense with mobs attacking????.
5. Love the fact you could receive yourself/use wine as a healing potion????.
6. I just enjoyed solving the hard puzzles in the chest likewise with cup swaps????.
7. Storyline is not great however satisfactory????.
8. Customization is limited but the game has good customs hints why I bought all the DLCS o(*°▽°*)o
9. Gear/upgrades is easily upgraded though getting chests and breaking objects/killing ヾ(•ω•`)o.
10. Mob variety is not that great however, some mobs have different attributes such as weapons to distinguish themselves ????.
Would I recommend this for you?
Yes, if you want to play game which has hints of Dark Souls and mixed with Link elements I don't see why this game would not be satisfying to play.
Would I not recommend this for you?
Yes, if you want a multiplayer with ample of players then no also the game servers seem to be hosted mainly in Home land China and Asia regions if you live afar I advise not to invest your time online however they do offer lan options, moreover the is not a full English game with voice actors if thats something that would bother you then I would not consider this game. P.S. this game is not NSFW its falsely flagged if your interested on this do not consider this aswell unless your into ecchi.
I hope this was helpful feedback of the game and if you choose to buy it please enjoy ????!

When I started playing Bloody Spell, I immediately started getting Dark Souls vibes. From the level construction, to how the game's controls felt, a souls-like game felt like the intent. After investing more time with game I can say that those feelings definitely started to go away. There is a weird but refreshing blend of familiar gameplay styles going on here, that led me down a road that I can say I really did enjoy.
There is more style and flare in this title's combat system, that really creates a fun experience for anyone willing to learn it. During my playtime, I found myself switching between weapons and trying to really explore the potential of each. Each weapon type, which there are several of, you will find each being very unique in their own way. Some are slow and powerful, some are fast and nimble. You will really find something to play with to keep that experience fresh as you go.
Bloody Spell also offers a light loot system. Although we aren't talking a grand scale of something like Diablo, or PoE, there is enough loot here that still keeps it exciting when you find the goods. I never found myself having to grind for loot in the same way I would a game built around loot, but I did find myself really looking as I played.
Could Bloody Spell use a little more polish and love? Sure, but what is here is worth a play. For the price tag and the fact it isn't a AAA title with a massive team behind it, you will be getting a solid experience. For anyone looking for an in-between games title to enjoy for a brief time, I feel this could be the experience for you.

This is a 3rd-person action RPG that is inspired by Souls-like games and is the first of its kind that has Chinese aesthetics and cultural influences. The world is atmospheric and immersive, and everything is of high quality with great attention to detail in their design. It is like a dark fantasy version of ancient China and really feels that way.
Everything in this game is very polished and well-done despite the very low price and Early-Access status. It has exceeded all my expectations regarding an Early-Access game, especially considering that the team developing this is very small, yet very talented and devoted to creating their game.
The animations are smooth, combat is fluid and satisfying, character models are beautiful, clothing is sexy, music is fitting, controls (I'm using KB&M) are simple and effective. The character-building is rewarding and there are plenty of equipment, weapons and accessories to earn in various game modes. The variety of game modes (both PvE and PvP) add more activities to do and also lets the player challenge themselves in different ways.
This is a game I will be playing for a very long time and I hope to see much more replayable content and more characters, skins and costumes to earn, wear and use.
For the sake of realism and immersion, please do not add other languages' audio and keep the audio language to (Mandarin) Chinese only.

Jokes aside, I will have to give a negative review due to the current state of this game despite having a positive impression towards the game.
I finished the game in a day, which is pretty short and i kinda like it. I enjoy souls game especially Sekiro so gameplay wise i like the parrying system. Except for the clunky control and the combat system which feels a bit unpolished. The world building is okay. The background song sounds great. The overall game looks unfinished, the graphics aint that bad but it aint that good either.
Now the story... I actually like the story except I CANT UNDERSTAND 1/4th OF IT. a lot of the texts are in chinese, i dont even know what im choosing or what mini game i play sometimes because i just dont understand most of it.
Overall, i give this game a 7/10 because the last boss is actually entertaining. Despite feeling a bit repetitive at a time, the enemies have a great variability. It's a fun game overall, just unfinished. Was it worth it? BUY IT ON SALE INSTEAD, aint worth on full price imo

The only major drawback I hold of the game at the moment is that it's really quite short on content. It's in early access now, certainly. There are, however, only ten chapters in the game story, which won't take too long to go through. BTW, the translation still needs a plenty of work.
All in all, I think this game is great and I look forward to what it will look like after it is developed.

Taking into consideration BloodBorne or DarkSouls 3, which have a very clear and smooth movement and attack animations... if you compare this game to those 2 games ... NO!
If you compare just the idea, of dying and coming back... and having a bit of difficulty here and there, the dodge mechanic, the parry mechanic, then yes, i can say it's similar, but that's were the similarity ends.
The game is by far not the same quality as the last entries in the souls game, or even compared to Dark Souls 1 (the remaster version for example).
I have 100% for those games but i have the platinum trophy (100%) only on console. So i know what i'm talking about.
Anyway, a nice addition to the game is the bewbz while you're hacking away at enemies.
Overall the game is MUCH MORE ALIKE Devil May Cry than a Souls game.
You have the orbs and buying skills with orbs.
I paid 73Euro for the full packages, just to see what they give, so mainly if you're interested in this game, just buy the base game, you will find some skins while playing, also i don't think the skins + game are worth 73Euros.... but hey, i wanted to check them out.
Anyway, taking into consideration that the team who made this game is so small -> GG to them. Maybe make part 2 where the Combat would be less Clunky and much more smooth like in BloodBorne or DarkSouls3.
I'm Giving a Thumbs up because i'm not a hater, and i know it was a lot of work for such a small team. Thanks for reading.

lots of glitches mid combo your char would do a T pose but you would see slash effects it seems most of the ground movement has been fixed though jumping combos still makes u stuck mid air thankfully changing wep fixed that
the glitches in most enemies seem to have been fixed though newer enemies (Was in the late palace and some glitches here and there)
I havent compared the story progress but il prolly make a follow up review but so far it has some alright progress compare to other early access games

considering this was made by THREE blokes i am impressed.
its basically chinese ninja gaiden. and this is an amazing thing!
priestess on the main page is paid dlc but the booba is A++
cons:
many enemies own hyperarmor so you cant spam
many text towards the end is left untranslated so you can get stuck easily, look for help in the forums
the staff is only usable by sister li locked behind dlc
in-game dev text is untranslated
overall: 8/10
i am biased towards these types of games. its worth the cheap price. buy your dlc piece by piece.
also this early access game has an insane amount of modes.

This game favours an aggressive approach. To play this passively might overwhelm you real quick. Even the caster class is designed for an 'In-your-face' style fighting. The combat definitely carries the game as it is the bread and butter mechanic. The variety of combos tied to each weapons are really fun to play with and every single one have their usefulness (My personal favourite being the gauntlets, as a KFM Main in BnS). I'm currently giving Hell Mode a go, but looking forward to trying out the other game modes. Co-Op is currently restricted to horde waves.
The story mode is pretty straightforward with minor puzzles and hidden areas included. Progression felt a little jarring at first because I had no idea that my skills/powers would reset after the prologue, but it was solid and smooth afterwards. The boss fights are decent and engaging, but can easily be cheesed by the Great Sword (Super armour can be pretty cheap sometimes). The level designs have potential, if more contents were to be added. The translations are atrocious but the important elements are clear enough to understand for English. The sound quality and music are passable.
This game lacks in platforming. However, I believe a simple latch grab would greatly improve the experience. The kung fu style movements currently make up for this. It just feels annoying that, for all the acrobatics and athleticism performed by your character, he/she is unable to grab onto a ledge after falling short of a gap. The ladders leave much to be desired as you cannot jump on or off, but have to activate them from top or bottom with no speed climb nor the ability to slide down. Note that some of these ladders can be unreasonably tall.
Beyond that, the game has a lot of potential for a AA tier. At this point, the graphics don't really matter but it would be nice if the characters weren't so stiff and near lifeless. Right now, the characters rely heavily on Steam Workshop, which for all manner of degeneracy can be found, barely raises the bar in the actual quality of the 3D models themselves.
Overall, the game is in fact, FUN. There are traces of Ninja Gaiden and even Dark Souls found here. I hope the devs continue to keep up the good work as I believe the game deserves at least a solid cult following.

For now, if you take anything at all away from my review please understand this is a GOOD game. Its graphics are done well, the atmosphere is fun to be in, the combat is extremely satisfying, the weapons skills and the passive and active combat abilities had thought put into them and are highly combo-based (which means they require skill), the UI is a little older but I like the feel given the era in which the game takes place, the translations are on par and display side by side with the original language, the multiplayer modes will give you and your friends something to try to beat!
Even though I am giving this a thumbs-up though I would like to see more multiplayer options in the future.

Other than that, the combat is a less Dark Souls and more Black Desert in my opinion. This can be good or bad depending on expectations/preference.
If you don't care about understanding the world you're playing in or figuring things out on your own, go for it.
If you want to immerse yourself in a game and learn about the things going on around you, pass until it gets a more comprehensive translation.

The gameplay is pure fun, combat is smooth and enjoyable. Different melee weapon styles to choose from and some additional skills/spells assisting in fights. No distance weapons, but skills are mostly useful and unlocking weapon combos make fights more interesting, while the game keeps ramping up the difficulty, forcing the player to use them and becomes more and more challenging, but doesn't overdo it and does not become punishing. There are multiple difficulty levels to choose as well.
On a downside, 嗜血印 is very linear and there is no skill-tree. You just get gems that unlock particular skills, and get everything in the end. Same with raising weapon skills. You can max them all in one playthrough.
Story is derp, just a pretext for a slasher. However, at this time English translation is far from finished. Currently, it's a mix of English and Chinese. If you want to play in Chinese know that they used a hand-written-like font, which is not as legible for non-natives. That said, it's not a game where you need to read much or understand the story, might as well skip all cutscenes and enjoy the gameplay.
The campaign mode is not yet finished (now it's about 10 hours long), but there are also even more enjoyable game modes to amuse oneself afterwards, including three multiplayer cooperative modes.
Buying this game on a 50%+ sale is not a dilemma if you are in a mood for a decent slasher. 嗜血印 can't compare with the best, but it's entertaining nonetheless. Definitely recommended.

The pros are:
Good combat system - you get to wield up to two weapons of which you can switch to anytime mid animation, making different, stylish combos. Every weapon has different combos, which you can upgrade by playing the game.
Theme - the theme of the game is quite neat, you get to be a cool samurai that gets to slash various monsters.
Boss fights - while basic AI can sometimes feel clunky, the boss fights later on in the game feel quite challenging and entertaining.
STEAM WORKSHOP FOR MODDING
Also this game has various game modes besides the main story, so there's unlimited content after the singleplayer is done.
The cons i've found:
AI - some AI can get stuck or feel rather weak. Some places can have too much AI to just 'put' them for the sake of difficulty spike
Translation - the translation from Chinese to English is very scuffed, so if you're trying to read and follow the story, you'll find yourself disappointed and at some points laughing.
Few levels - few levels had seemed to be quite similar to each other, with repeating paths with the same models even, that broke the immersion a bit, but its not the end of the world.
I would give this 8/10, very worth getting it, especially when its only 5 euros on sale.

+Controls are really good and that makes the combat really enjoyable.
+Not too long even though bosses can be hard.
+Graphics!!
-When the game started it was on Chinese. I had to use Google Lens in order to get it to English
-There are loads of words and sentances that are incorrect. Also lots of text not translated. Makes it a bit of a challange sometimes.
-No real lore
For the 6 euro's i paid i must say this is really worth buying.

Oh, also, please try to translate the in game dialogues. During cut scenes, some things have English subtitles, but somethings are only in Chinese. I only understand half of whats going on in the game because a lot of things are only in Chinese. (Though, I did buy the game knowing it was Chinese)

Bloody Spell, for the most part, has the main character down. Outside of some awkwardness with combo animations, he's got the tools to let players get as crazy as they want with countering, dodging, weapon switching, comboing and juggling.
The main issue is, the game doesn't complement him AT ALL.
Where the camera in DMC and Ninja Gaiden adjusts to give you a good idea of where the enemies are so you can react accordingly, Bloody Spell's is always static no matter the circumstance. Where enemies in DMC won't attack you off screen (for the most part), the little cannon fodder in bloody spell will perform completely silent full-screen stinger moves to knock you out of whatever you're doing. The best way to get crazy is to take manual control of the camera and forget locking on, but the camera makes no effort to help keep your eyes on what's important in the middle of the action.
Enemies in this don't attack with any kind of rhythm that you can work around with. They all just swing at once with animations that very barely give you a cue of what's coming, made even worse when dealing with groups and a camera that just doesn't seem to care about what's on or off screen.
There's very little sense of level design and there is way too much jank in almost everything. The key puzzles are boring and bring the action to a complete halt. Platforming is serviceable, but jumping feels a little weird. The translation still needs a whole lot of work. Some things haven't even been touched by the translator yet, and what has is only barely intelligible.
All that being said, I do like what they are going for a lot. I think the main character has a ton of potential. It's just the game surrounding him drags him down into the mud. I feel the team really needs to overhaul the enemy AI, give the camera some dynamism and really tighten up the jank polluting everything to make it shine.
And I do really think it could shine.

You start the game, with no knowledge of how to do anything, fumble your way through groups of enemies intent on tearing down your sister's monastery, find out how to dodge, block, and combo attacks through trial and error, and finally manage to kill the first boss. Guess what happens next? That's right, the tutorial! Of course, it makes complete logical sense to put the tutorial after the introduction of the game! Not gonna lie though, the game has fluid animations, good combat, and nice ambience and visuals.
PROS:
You can do cool combos
Character customization ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Nice scenery
Pretty decent soundtrack
CONS:
Combat can be a little clunky at parts
Some character costumes clip into their bodies
GOOD GOD THE FONT WHY
Would definitely recommend.

It's not great but, it's not awful
Firstly, I'll be up front , this game isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea. It's still a work in progress but, gets updated pretty regularly with new content, fixes, etc. The lack of english in many parts of the game can make things very...confusing to say the least but, they state before you buy it that it's not all converted. Honestly, most of it isn't converted(some of the converted stuff isn't always the best english you've ever read) but, that doesn't make it a bad game. It's a little wonky and has a lot of work that needs to be done, but, all that being said the enemies are fun, gameplay is interesting if nothing else, and it helps pass the time. If you want something complete, this won't be for you but, if you miss old school Ninja-Gaiden esque hack n' slash, it's worth the try.

I'll write pros and cons so far about this game.
Pros.
-Graphics are beautiful, i can't believe Unity can produce such graphics.
-Combos are awesome, i really like the combo so much, the mechanism reminds me of Dynasty Warriors.
-Animations are awesome.
-Souls-Devil May Cry-like gameplay.
-Boobs physics are awesome.
-Kawaii onee-san.
Cons.
-User interface needs a lot of work.
-English localization needs a lot of work.
-Enemy locking needs to be consistent because after you kill one locked enemy, it became unlocked, and you need to relock the enemy again.
-Voice acting is a good addition.
-Loading screen is not interesting.
Because it's just an early access game, i'll give it some time to be a better game.
Keep the spirit devs, i wish you a good luck.
8/10.

Pros:
- Combat feels really fluid.
- Very few bugs found.
- Procedural generation is nice and will add a lot of value to the game later in it's life.
- Great boss fights, didn't feel cheesy.
- Can take control of certain enemies, which was really unique and fun.(Some of which are needed for getting past some areas.)
Cons:
- Female character is a transformation instead of being it's own thing.
- Procedural generation needs more variants, so that it can feel like a new experience every time you play through an area.
- As of right now, it feels really short.
- Needs a way to gain back lost things instead of losing everything on death.(i.e. you only keep what you have equipped on death)
- Needs some things translated to English still.
- Don't know what everything does due to translations falling short, hopefully will be fixed in the future.
Extra:
- There is a lot of mini-games in this game, it's something you can take or leave. If you don't like doing them especially for chests you can get an item to bypass having to do them.
Overall:
A good experience and I look forward to seeing more of this game. But keep in mind, if you get this now that it's in Early Access and that means it still needs a lot of work and if you enjoyed it like me, you will end up craving more in the end.

Gameplay
Like I said, this game tries to combine stylish action and souls-like together. The representatives of each of the genre are Devil May Cry and Dark Souls. I played both of them a little bit and it is very easy to recognize the influence from these two titles, and some features from Sekiro (the Shinobi Execution). Essentially, it is a very good idea because it combines cause it combines the best. But in executive level, this game has long way to go.
Facing different level of enemies turns this one game into two completely different games, which I think it is so disconnected and problematic. When fight with ordinary enemies, it is very Dark Souls. Roll, dodge and attack from the back, these are all very enjoyable and you never need combo. But when fight with bosses, the game forces you to turn into Devil May Cry. Attacks of bosses are non-stop and frequent, you can’t even get very close cause they will immediately react and attack, meaning ordinary roll, dodge, slash, the whole mechanism from Dark Souls are basically useless. You have to use combo to defeat them, which is so hard to perform. Combos have complicated requirements on control while they are too easy to be interrupted. During my playtime, most of my intentions to perform combos were stopped by a simple slash and meanwhile combos from bosses will never be interrupted. They are basically unbeatable during combos while I am still vulnerable, which I feel it is not fair. These show the game fails to combine two mechanisms together cause a good game does not turns into completely different gameplay with different enemies, it has to be consistent.
Besides, the game has a Shinobi Execution setting, meaning you can stealth kill enemies. This game does not do well in drawing a line between stealth and walk. I did not play Sekiro so I can’t tell how it does. But in Bloody Spell when you walk slowly you are in stealth, which feels weird because using controllers it is inconvenient to adjust and mind your walking speed. I mean at least add an action of crouch or something will be much better.
Congruence
Congruence means things has to be consistent. The thing I said before about consistent gameplay, it is one sort of congruence. There are lots of inconsistencies in the game. Gameplay, light, background music, level design, density of enemy, saving, death penalty, map etc.
Gameplay As I mentioned before.
Light The dungeon at the beginning is too dark to see. While in the tomb later, the light is enhanced. Please adjust the light to the same level.
Music In the first level the background music is non-stop, which is annoying. But later, there is no background music at all.
Level design I can literally tell what each level is about. In early level, the game is “kill whoever I meet”. In the second level, it is “sneak around and stealth kill”. Later it is “hard core battles keep rushing to your face and try to solve puzzles in the meantime with animal shifting”. Then it turns into “platform jumping under interference”. Last is continuous boss fight. I mean, if you decide to put platform jumping, or puzzle solving into the game, please do it all the time or at least a few levels. It is very disconnected to have all these levels together while each of them features their own.
Density of enemy It is consistent at the beginning, the middle and the end. I think this game learns a bad thing from Dark Souls 2. In some level it just put tons of enemies there without thinking the influence on experience. Particularly, in the corridor of the tomb where is very narrow and cannot dodge effectively, the game put dozens of powerful enemies there who are hard to defeat. Once you alarm more than one of them, everything blows up into sh*it storm.
Saving The game imitates the bonfire in Dark Souls, where is used as checkpoints to save. The authentic checkpoint in this game is the lantern. But most of the time checkpoints are just random. I can’t really tell where and when I save. There is reminders showing up in some certain spots telling “your save is uploaded to the cloud”. So does that mean I passed a checkpoint? Later when I die and start over, I do not start at where the reminders pop out. In somewhere if I die I start over at where are nearby. But some cases if I die I have to start over the whole level from the beginning, even the reminders popped out before.
Death penalty If players die, they either lose all the items they collect (excluding weapons and armors) or they can keep the gems, depends on where they die. It is very confusing as well. (READ the comment below and thanks for making things clear)
Map The second level, each time you die the map changes. But there is no such feature in other level. So what is the meaning of it.
Menu You either use all capital letters or all lowercase for the first letter in the menu. Just don’t use both cause it makes the menu look very ugly.
CG Only the last enemy has CG. Is it because she is the first female encounters in the game?
A positive and excellent example of game with high congruence that can be referred is Batman Arkham franchise. Everything the game wants players to play is there. There is no sudden surprise like “I have to do this weird thing I haven’t done or seen before in this game to pass this level?”
Miscellanies
Motion is stiff, especially when climbing stair.
Upgrade system is such a mess. It requires different items with very confusing names that are hard to collect for different upgrade. Beside the items, upgrade also consume gems that never be enough.
Bloody Spell should be some sort of badass skills in combat. Yet I don’t even know the function of each Bloody Spell cause the description is unclear and on the contrary they do not seem effective and powerful to make difference in combat.
Death bodies move themselves!!
Poor optimization.
There is no audio in latter half of the game.
You can tell in early levels the dev put their hearts on making the game, but latter half of the game it is like they just want to wrap things up and get sloppy.
It is basically very fun to play. But it is not a good timing to play right now cause the game is incomplete and very problematic. According to the story, in this phrase the game just gets started. Hopefully the dev has enough money to continue developing cause they appear to be experiencing financial distress (therefore I bought DLCs as support).

For a tiny small group of 10 people, making the game and being on Early Access...
For the content and gameplay fun it has, even with some minor/small bugs here and there...
This game is actually legit pretty fun and interesting! No bs. Devs seem to care a lot. Gameplay is fun, skills are fair and nice, story is very nice, too. It has everything positive so far but again, DO remember, it's an Early Access game, expect it to be buggy, though, I see the updates right now and I see they changed/fixed lots of game breaking stuff before, can't wait to play it again!
Get this game please, support the developers, at least they deserve it.

Extremely impressive. I didn't expect it to be quite this good.
As it stands I think the combo system is a little less detailed than other character action games (Ninja Gaiden, DMC), but a lot more detailed than the good non-stylish 3d beat 'em ups (Bujingai, Drakengard 3). I could see it getting fleshed out more by release, but its already great..
THE WEAPONS
There are four weapons: Blade, Spearstick, Sword and Knuckles (hey, I didn't name 'em!)
Each of the weapons has unlockable combos which you buy with 'proficiency', a currency which you accumulate as you use the weapon. Each weapon has a different identity and while the movelist is small compared to other games, each combo is useful!
Blade combos are what Ben Ruiz calls 'Circuit Jumping', similar to Ninja Gaiden - you start on your light attack string and then transition to heavy, or vice versa. So you can do X > X > X > Y for an attack string that ends on a launcher (that also lifts you), or X > X> Y to end on a long multi-hit move with a big hitbox. The light attacks are flexible so you can just use whichever string is best for the situation. The blade likes crowd controlling small enemies & abusing air combos.
Spearstick combos are mostly 'Gap Timed', like your bread & butter combos in Devil May Cry - pausing after the first hit of the string gets you a launcher, pausing after the second gets a big AOE, and pausing after the third gets a long multi-hit move thats great against big guys. Its similar to the sword but plays a little differently - the combos require you to commit more, since you cant change your mind after pausing, and its worse against small enemies & pretty bad in the air, but it has much better range and a very safe neutral poke.
Sword is all about charge attacks, which the game calls 'Accumulate' - like UTs in Ninja Gaiden or the Greatsword in Monster Hunter(!). Its moveset is *very* slow - it feels like it belongs in a Souls game - but its great at breaking guards, and if you can time the fully charged heavies it shreds the big guys apart.
The Knuckles are the wildcard; they're fast, have long ('circuit jumping'-style) combos, but dont hit that hard, and cant block. These things are all about style. They have the fastest launcher out of neutral (X > Y) and have the most launchers out of all the weapons. They're *all* about juggling and are best when you're comfortable chaining weapon-switches together.
You're better off thinking of weapons in terms of pairs, since the system is built to allow very fluid weapon-switching (I recommend rebinding the weapon switch to a better key than 'd-pad up' - mine is on R1). Blade + Spear is great at handling big groups of enemies & taking down human-sized bosses; Blade + Knuckles is great for juggling & parrying & showing off; Knuckles + Sword is great for taking down big guys by hit-confirming into heavy Sword attacks, etc... (Experiment to find your favourite combo!)
Aside from the weapons, you can dodge, guard (but your guard gets broken after absorbing one hit), and parry (tap guard; some weapons also have special command parries), a grapple that teleports you ontop of an enemy, and - get this - an in-air dodge that also counts as an attack if it connects!
Juggling is quite different in this game to other character action games. The system isn't nearly as detailed as a game like DMC, or even Ninja Gaiden. Juggle combos are always pretty short and you have to work pretty hard for them, but most importantly, they barely lift you off the ground at all. You're never *safe* when you're juggling an enemy, you're still in danger of getting hit, and the enemies are *aggressive*. This is bad news if you enjoy long, complex combo videos (I do), but it puts the focus squarely on the hardcore game experience, which I think is an interesting angle.
My only complaint is that I wish we had more options out of neutral. You can only ever open with a light attack, a heavy attack or a 'helm splitter'-type air-to-ground. This homogenises the was you can approach your combos & reduces the systems expressivity, which I think is unfortunate.
Tech talk: You can grapple a juggled enemy to extend your combo in the air. You can block-cancel out of every move in the game, pretty much whenever. Additionally, because timing a block is the input for a parry, you can parry any attack at any point during your string. *If* you can, that is. The skill ceiling in this game feels really high, even if there's a limit to how many ways you can build a combo.
ENEMIES
The enemy design is really impressive. The enemy variety is really good. Differently sized enemies have different affordances in a way thats pretty easy to grasp, and each enemy requires a different approach. The small enemies are like DMC enemies: they have one or two attacks, can be a bit passive, but come in large numbers. They attack as a group and you take them down as a group. The big enemies are more complex; they tend to have 4-5 different moves, some they use at close distance and some at range, and some of their attacks really change the way you approach an encounter. Sadly there are a few stinkers: the dogs, ugh!
GAME MODES
The main campaign is a bit of a mess. At first it looks like a roguelike because the levels are procedurally generated, but you don't ever actually see anything *new* - its just in a different order. The third and final level is just a slog through several simple puzzles and platforming sections that are about as good as they were in Devil May Cry (ie. awful) and ends with you fighting some bosses you already fought before. I cannot see very much of this level making it into the finished game; it feels like something they pushed out to quash rumours of the game being dead. The main mode is not the most fun mode, but to be fair, you dont actually need to play it.
It has 'Bloody Palace'! And its a good one. The enemy waves are well designed & fun, and give you a lot of different situations to try out your moves on. The later levels are a solid challenge & it ends with a sort of boss rush. There are currently some enemies exclusive to the Bloody Palace.
'Hell Mode' is a mode thats more all-in on the procedural generation: its four floors of the initial dungeon level, which is the best level in the game, and the enemy encounters get progressively harder as you venture down until the bottom which is mostly big guys. The bottom foor is hard! I like this mode a lot.
'Arena' mode is, uh... basically PVP except the other player is an AI. It sounds weird but its been kicking my ass. For a bit I wondered if I was playing against real players. This is the only section of the game with a Leaderboard, which tracks the time - to beat it I guess? - & the current first place is 1 hour 20 minutes. Bonkers.
Theres a training mode! If you dont speak Chinese: hit enter to generate an enemy, + and - to change which enemy, and 7 to clear the room. Sadly you cant give them infinite health yet. This mode is really good for practicing parries.
SEXY OUTFITS
The only people who comment on this stuff seem to be people who don't approve of it. Well, I like sexy games! What about the sexy outfits in this one? I think... they're not very sexy! Sure, theres side boob or whatever, but... they're just lingerie. Thats hot if I'm in bed with my girlfriend, but when I'm kicking demon samurai ass? It doesnt do it for me! I'd rather they designed a sexy assassin babe outfit, personally. Maybe in a future update!

This game is really good, takes the best parts of Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden and Dark Souls and fuses them into a Chinese action packed game.
The game is still early access, but the amount of content and the amount of fun I had is well worth the price I paid ($7.99). I recommend it at $20 or Below 100%.

The enemies aren't the best designs but they get the job done and it's obvious what they are and what they do.
Dying is really harsh, you lose most of your exp and pretty much all items that aren't equipped. It's not like dark souls where you can go pick up your stuff.
I am not a fan of the random elements where dying in some missions will shuffle around the rooms in the dungeon meaning you might have to relearn each room to progress.
Obviously the game isn't finished yet so some of the mechanics might be buggy, level designs might change, AI will get fixed, and so on.
Translation is poor and once you get to the weapon upgrade NPC, there is no english translation. Voice acting sounds like placeholder but we shall see

Marketed confusingly as if it's Hentai or Visual Novel. It's actually a decent Early Access Soulslike; hard fights, lots to level up as you repeat, different paths (Rogue), the works.
As others say, there are issues with translation, so very occasionally there is no English and often what English there is has a somewhat muddled sense. But there's a poetic nature to many of the lines anyway, tough to translate. It's perfectly playable.
With the sex and nudity, those are pickups and DLC if you decide to apply them; they are not extremely adult, just exploiting the look of the character - Lara Croft does cosplay. One can take or leave that according to taste, it's just chrome. I'm not finding or seeing reports of anything else in the game. So no Witcher moments.
On sale this is an absolute steal for the work that's clearly gone and continues to go into it. But even full price, it's a fraction of the cost of some of the near neighbours. And you don't need any of the DLC for this, much of it is free and it's all cosmetic or soundtrack.
So in all, a decent job for a fair price. Challenging and fun. Deserves support imho :)
