Absolut geile Brettspielumsetzung. Hab ich schon mit Freunden ohne PC gespielt und ist auf dem Computer ebenso gut gelungen. Jetzt muss ich nicht mehr an alle Regeln denken. Auch muss ich nach der Partie kein Charactersheet ändern.
Die Grafik ist spitze, der Sound stimmungsvoll und die Bedienung durchdacht.
Einzig der persönliche Kontakt und der Ärger im Gesicht des Mitspielers, wenn ich ihm seine liebevoll hochgelevelte Figur zerstückle, fehlt. Also am besten mit Freunden und laufender Skype Verbindung spielen ;-)
Auch wenn es klein wenig Übung braucht um sein Team möglichst unbeschadet durch die Partie zu bringen, ist das Spiel eine klare Empfehlung für alle „ernsthaften“ Strategen.

Bedenkt bitte dieses Review ist nur für die Steam Version. Legendary Edition ist wirklich gut und bietet einiges an Single und Multiplayer Content doch der größte Vorteil von ihr ist, dass sie im Gegensatz zur Chaos Edition als Discversion nicht Steam benötigt. Wer es über Steam spielen will dem empfehle ich die Chaos Edition da die ein besseres Spielerlebnis bietet und dabei nur 5€ mehr kostet.

Klarer Daumen nach oben!

Natürlich hat das Spiel seine Wiederholungen, aber trotzdem spielt sich keine Partie wie die andere.

Das Spiel zeigt eine schöne taktische Tiefe, die Völker spielen sich alle unterschiedlich und der Humor ist großartig.

Ein schönes Spiel mit viel Atmosphäre.

Da ich bereits zuvor BloodBwol gespielt habe, waren die Regeln kein Problem. Die Steuerung ist in Ordnung und während der Matches zimlich flüssig. Leider spielt die AI sich den letzten Rotz zusammen und so werden Matches auf hohen Schwierigkeitsgraden nur deshalb schwer, weil die AI die Würfelergebnisse massiv manipuliert.

Die Matches gegen echte Menschen sind jedoch kurzweilig und je nach Gegner spannend bis viel zu einfach - aber das liegt in de Natur der Sache. Es ist möglich, eigene geschlossene Ligen zu erstellen und zu verwalten, die Verwaltung ist jedoch alles andere als benutzerfreundlich.

Abschließend kann ich jedem BllodBowl Liebhaber raten: Spiel kostenfrei auf fumbbl.com - die Grafik ist nicht so toll, dafür funktioniert der Ganze Rest sehr gut.

Klasse Warhammer Feeling.
Unbedingt im rundenbasierten Modus spielen. So kommt echtes Tabletop Feeling auf.

Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition (2009)

Fantasy Football game based on the Warhammer universe. You can pick from all the classic Warhammer races and pit them against each other in the most violent football game ever made. Choose from Chaos, Elf, Human, Orc, Undead and so much more. Now if you know how American Football works this obviously helps out a lot but the tutorial in game is very good to help you out. There are a few different modes to choose from. This game is worth it if you are a Warhammer fan and liking Football tends to help as well. Some of my friends from University played number two a lot during off times, was fun to watch. Fun fact - this game is based on the 1986 Blood Bowl fantasy football board game.

If you like Blood Bowl it's well worth it, far cheaper than the miniature game and a funny take on the fantasy blood sport of american football meets orcs and elves!

Took a break from the game before I wrote this. I've tried to enjoy this game but its impossible with the current dice rolling system. The computer has bias'd rolls while yours are predisposed to fail MOST of the time. WTF? What kind of masochist plays a game like this? Oh yeah the desperate hordes of GW fans that have few games that are any good.

FYI This isn't one of them.

Do yourself a favour and save yourself an aneurysm. DONT BUY. Yet another example of creators either being sadistic or just couldn't be bothered to check how whack the dice RNG is.

Chaos League is a better fantasy sports game if you can get it running anyway.

I ended up getting this game on my iPad but there HUGE issues with the game that mostly revolve around the RNG - these problems are well documented and BB2 has not gotten much further in addressing them. Play if you want to waste time/money.

A great game as a one off or maybe in a player league, but I cannot stand inducements for mismatched team values in single player. Sometimes you want to be able to crush the halfling squad for their audacity in even trying to take the pitch, but the game will give them extra perks to attempt to make up the difference between your team's quality and theirs. Inducements to equal team values ruins the whole purpose of building a killer squad, as the better you get, so too the crappy team you are playing.

This feature persists in BB II and so I never purchased that game.

A simple option to turn off the computer trying to make up for team value mismatches in single player would bring me hours of joy.

This is a great adaptation of Blood Bowl. It takes almost all of the clunky-ness out of the game freeing you up to just play instead of keeping one eye on the rulebook at all times. You can play a match in about an hour against the AI.

Yes I've played this game for a good amount of time, but it's simply because I enjoy the actual Blood Bowl tabletop game that much. The game tends to cheat a touch on the dice rolls to push them in its favor which is a big downside to it, but it isn't as bad as you might hear others complain about it, still a frustration.

The game also doesn't like balance at all, as you will notice to unlock new skills/mutations you have to level up which is likely to take a few games. In every variation of the PC version the AI teams always start with multiple skills/mutations already unlocked. This can lead to really awkward situations like Dwarves with dodge or Ogres with break tackle, Skaven gutter runners with Block, and silly stuff like that from the first game you play.

It's frustrating, it's unbalanced, and it's factually unfair so unless you are a hardcore tabletop Blood Bowl player, I'd avoid it unless you want to find yourself alt tabbing and closing the game when your Orc gets killed by a Snotling the first turn because the game gave you a middle finger cheat roll.

I have purchased it becaus it looked cool and the idea seemed great to me.
The game itself totally bored me, the tutorial was pretty bad and ingame explanations are hardly worth reading. It is easier and faster to search online for some kind of tutorial.
The menues are clunky and frustrating to use.
The commentators are ok but below average.

You will lose.
repeatedly.
the other team will slip past your perfectly organized defense
your defenders will get knocked out somehow
you'll fumble the ball when it's right in front of your player
you will miss a throw, fail a block, lose players and watch everything you've so carefully organized be pummeled to gibs.

But you'll get better.
the more you play it, the more you'll understand the rules and how the nature of the game works.
you'll have that moment where a perfect play comes together, or you see an opening in the enemy team's defense and just go for it. And when you do score that touchdown? It feels great.

It's a difficult system to master and I'm sure as hell not there yet either. But from what I played on the 360 version and this, it can definately feel really rewarding when you nail it. And even if you don't? You can at least make your opponent have to work for it.
