Why is BeamNG.drive the game for you?
As an open world vehicle simulator, BeamNG.drive will cover a large array of vehicular disciplines - everything from a delivery mission in a box truck to a high speed rally race or a destruction derby. The vehicle customization and detail will allow you to make your car or truck all your own - fix it up, upgrade it, or strip away body panels to reduce weight. There are a lot of different types of gameplay we want to implement beyond just racing and crashing, such as police chases, stunt challenges, and other specialized minigames. Eventually we would like to have some kind of single player open world career mode, with persistent vehicle ownership and procedurally generated used vehicles to buy and events to run them in.

In some ways, BeamNG.drive is about doing anything you want with a car or truck - the stuff other games don't let you do. You can go off-roading in a family sedan or hurl a delivery truck around a racing circuit, all with beautiful soft-body simulation physics. You can mod those same vehicles to be racing beasts, derby monsters, or off-road behemoths - or just thrash them stock. At the end of the day, BeamNG.drive gives you the gameplay you want, and doesn't force you to do anything that you don't think is fun or interesting.

The future of the game and our physics engine
As we optimize our game and computer technology improves, the amount of vehicles which can be simultaneously simulated at a smooth framerate will increase. Right now you can run 4 to 6 cars at one time on a high end quad-core processor. Each vehicle has around 400 nodes and 4000 beams, all being simulated 2000 times per second. We hope to expand the number of simultaneous vehicles possible to at least 8 with a mid-range processor.

We will also look towards having multiplayer in the future, but it may be some time before we can create the multiplayer experience everyone is expecting. We are well aware of the demand for multiplayer and we want it just as much as you, but for the short term we are focusing on the single player career mode, various driving events, fixing bugs, and creating more content. It is feasible that we could implement local and/or same PC multiplayer in the interim.

Also, the possibilities extend beyond land vehicles. Users in our community have already made planes and helicopters that fly purely with the existing vehicle aerodynamic physics, with no cheating whatsoever. BeamNG can simulate aircraft in a very authentic way due to its soft-body physics. All the flex that happens to a real plane's airframe arises naturally in BeamNG, and the consequences of excessive stress are also modeled. Fly too fast and your wings will start to bend and rip off. The potential for the BeamNG physics engine is huge.

es ist sehr nice aber man sollte sich auch den multiplayer runterladen und es dann mit freunden spielen (leider nicht offiziell dinnen nur als Mod aber auch sehr gut gemacht)

Die Physics sowie die unendlichen Möglichkeiten in diesem Spiel machen es einfach zu einem Spiel was auf selbst auf Dauer noch Spaß macht und ist deswegen auch zu 100% die 21 Euro wert.

EINFACH KAUFEN.
Dieses Spie- eh, dieser Simulator ist einfach der Oberhammer. Einzigartige Physik die man nirgendswo anders sieht, richtig geile Grafik, sehr viele Content Updates, super polished im Sinne von sauberen Menüs und guten Autos (so viele Details!), Modding wird mit integriertem Mod-Browser aktiv unterstützt, jede Map die man sich vorstellen kann und natürlich ein richtig gutes Fahrgefühl.

Und das alles für 20 Euro von 3 Entwicklern. Jeder einzelne Cent wert.

Ein sehr cooles Spiel um zu driften oder um sein Auto zu zerstören.Mods sind sehr leicht zu installieren dank dem Mod manager der intigriert ist in BeamNG drive.Als Rennspiel für Leute die öfters mal gegen eine wand fahren eher nicht geeignet da das Handling danach meist komplett kaputt ist.

Zu Beginn war ich etwas skeptisch, denn das Spiel stürzte leider sehr oft ab. Nach einigen Versuchen lief es jedoch vorbildlich. BeamNG ist was ganz eigenes und das Experimentieren macht tierisch Laune. Die Physikengine ist einfach beeindruckend und findet hoffentlich in noch größeren Spielen ihre Verwendung. Viel zu sagen gibt es nicht, außer dass man bei diesem Spiel eine Menge Spaß haben kann. Bin auf jeden Fall gespannt wie es weiter unterstützt wird und welche Features noch kommen werden (hoffe ein offizieller MP). Und nicht vom grauenhaften Menü abschrecken lassen ;)

Nach einigen Spielstunden kann ich sagen, dass Spiel ist absolut klasse! (Durch den Multiplayer Launcher werden diese leider nicht auf Steam angezeigt)
Am meisten Spaß macht es aber definitiv mit Lenkrad. Mit dem Controller fand ich es persönlich weniger amüsierend.
Was wahrscheinlich das beste am Spiel ist, ist der Fakt, dass man am Auto jedes einzelne Teil verändern kann und die Physik einfach Bock macht.
Eine Schwäche an dem Spiel ist leider der fehlende Multiplayer Modus, der jedoch durch einen externen Launcher (BeamMP) als Mod ins Spiel gebracht wird und ziemlich gut funktioniert. Das einzige Problem ist hierbei die schlechtere Leistung. Mit einer RX580 muss man sich da mit 30-40 fps auf niedrigen bis normalen Einstellungen zufrieden geben. Im Singleplayer ist die Leistung aber besser, viel besser.
Updates mit neuen Autos und Erneuerungen auf den Maps sind regelmäßig vorhanden. Viele benutzen aber sowieso Map, Auto oder Tuning Mods.
Mein Tipp: Mit Freunden auf einen Server joinen, Auto zum Cruiser umbauen und entspannt eine Tour machen

Die besten 20 Euro, die ich je ausgegeben habe. Gute Openworld und die Physk-Engine ist einfach genial. Racing ist genauso gut wie alles andere in diesem Spiel. Hätte ich keine Gtx 960m, wäre die Grafik sehr gut. Regelmäßige Updates, die einen nie enttäuschen, spiele seit 2016 (anderer account). Auch der mod-support ist super, man kann ganz einfach seine eigenen Mods erstellen und auch tausende aus der Repo herunterladen.

Selbst nach hunderten Spielstunden lässt der Spielspaß nicht nach. Dies liegt auch größtenteils an den Mods und an BeamMP; so kann man sogar mit seinen Freunden zusammenspielen. Die Updates, die ca. jedes viertel bis halbe Jahr kommen sind relativ Contentreich und bringen auch viel Spielspaß

Für alle die eine Einfache Fahrsimulation mit einem guten Schadensmodell, sowie einen etwas Realistischen Fahrverhalten suchen sind hier richtig.

wohlgemerkt sei, das Spiel ist eher in Richtung Testfahrten und Freies Fahren ausgelegt.
Außerdem ist das Spiel ( auch ohne Mods ) Ram intensiv, 16 GB sind meine Empfehlungen (Freies Fahren mit Verkehr).
Das Spiel verfügt über eine Deutsche Übersetzung, (Auch andere Sprachen sind Verfügbar) in den Optionen gibt es den Punkt Translation.

Das Spiel Unterstützt den Xbox One Kontroller, das Logitech G920 + Shifter und das Heavy Equipment Side Panel.
Aufgrund der je nach Fahrzeug möglichen Sonderfunktionen kann die Steuerung Kompliziert werden.
Aber im Pausen Menü kann man Jederzeit die Funktionen nachsehen und gegebenenfalls anpassen.

Wenn ihr das Spiel Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game besitzt, könnt ihr eure dort erstellten Fahrzeuge hier Ausgiebig testen.

So, nun setze ich mich mal nach langem spielen und testen von BeamNG.drive an ein Review, um meine Meinungen zu diesem Spiel der restlichen Welt hinsichtlich vieler Probleme die ich bisher hatte zu präsentieren ...

Das Prinzip :

Grundlegend warum man sich BeamNG.drive momentan kaufen möchte, seinen eigenen Spielplatz haben zu wollen, auf dem man Endlich mit zahlreichen verschiedenen, Detail getreuen und zum Teil sehr hübschen Autos einfach nur Zerstörung an den Autos anrichten zu wollen .... Und das kann es extrem gut.

Die Physik :

Die Physik von BeamNG ist momentan unschlagbar, wenn es darum geht Autos zu zerstören und das noch Physikalisch korrekt verformt werden soll, ein Versuch hatte schon einmal Rockstar Games mit der Rage Engine in GTA IV, was jedoch eher für frust unter den Spielern sorgte.

Die Anforderungen :

Nach langem spielen, merkt man dann doch, das die ganzen Verformbaren Teile auf lasten der Hardware Auslastung fallen, und eine große Rechenleistung von der CPU gefordert wird um alles Physikalisch korrekt zu berechnen. Das spawnen von vielen Autos/Objekten macht es sich irgendwann bemerkbar, was noch annehmbar ist, jedoch auf schlechteren Systemen bestimmt zum Abbruch der Motivation für das Spiel führt.

Schönes und realistisches Game, Es gibt gut Auswahl an Fahrzeugen und Maps. durch den Mod Support kann man das Spiel auch noch gut erweitern. Das einzige was fehlt ist ein Multiplayer-Modus. Gibt zwar einen dusch Mod aber sowas finde ich sollte vom Entwickler bereit gestellt werden. Ansonsten Top Game, kann ich nur Empfehlen.

Man kann sich Herausfordern und 1 bis 2 Stunden daran sitzen einen Stunt perfekt auszuführen oder einfach nur herum experimentieren und an geeigneten Orten eine Rampe aufstellen, oder der KI hinterherjagen. Die Crashphysik ist der Hammer! Es gibt eine große Vielfalt an verschidensten Autos mit denen man Rally fahren kann oder auf einer Rennstrecke oder auch auf der Straße vor der Polizei flüchten die von der KI gesteuert werden kann. Und ja neben der großen Vielfalt an Autos und Maps,
(von den Mods fang ich garnicht erst an)
gibt es viele Möglichkeiten das Spiel noch interessanter zu gestalten. Da wäre zum Beispiel die Schwerkraft die man verändern kann oder die ganzen Aufrüstmöglichkeiten für die verschiedensten Autos.

Kurz gesagt, ein sehr interessantes Spiel mit unendlich Möglichkeiten und einer sehr angenehmen und halbwegs realistischen Fahrphysik. Die Grafik ist ebenso Spitze (Auch wenn ich gerne etwas mehr hätte).
Kann ich nur empfehlen : )

Nach 400 Stunden will ich endlich eine Review schreiben.
Das Spiel hat ein grandiose Crash Physik mit vielen Sandbox Elemente und haufen gute Mods.
Die Fahrpysik ist sehr spaßig.
Mann kann viele verschiedene Aktivitäten machen : Freeroam, Drag racing, track racing, driften , Rock crawling und man hat verschiedene Scenarios und Campaigns.
Es hat auch ein eingebauten Level Editor der sehr gut funktioniert und immer mehr Entwickelt wird.
Ich kann es empfehlen der Fahrzeuge und crashes mag

Ein sehr cooles Spiel mit fast unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten der Zerstörung und Simulation im bereich der Auto Welt.
Mods, die das Spiel noch grenzenloser machen, sind zwar nicht im Steam-Workshop, aber dennoch sehr übersichtlich und einfach zu installieren, ohne das Spiel zu verlassen.

Super realistische Simulation. An alles wurde gedacht oder wird nach und nach in Updates welche alle 1-2 Monate kommen verfeinert (z.B. Motortemperaturen von Kühlwasser oder Kolben). Alles hat eine Auswirkung auf die Autos, welche Liebevoll modelliert sind und viele Anpassungsmöglichkeiten bieten (verschiedene Motoren, Tuningteile, Getriebe, Reifen, Felgen, etc.). So kann man Sie sich nach eigenen Wünschen bauen und Testen. Das Schadensmodell ist einfach nur Klasse, die Verformungen der Karosserie wirken äußerst realistisch und Schaden wirkt sich auf das fahrverhalten aus (wenn es denn dazu noch in der Lage ist :D ). Klare Kaufempfehlung !!! Aktuell wird man kein besseres Spiel bekommen, welches in der Preisklasse liegt und so viel Content bietet. Die genannten Updates haben immer einen enormen Umfang und von DLCs ist bis jetzt noch keine Spur. Wer ein Freund von Simulationen ist oder einfach nur seinen Spaß beim zerstören von Autos hat, der sollte sich dieses Spiel unbedingt kaufen!!!

Besitzte es die letzten jahre, für die Fortschritte, die das Spiel gemacht hat, muss ich ein großes Lob geben. Und es wird mehr kommen! Einfach eins der besten Spielen über Fahrzeugen, oder gar überhaupt! Ich würde jedem dieses Spiel weiterempfehlen, weil solch ein Spiel wird es nicht noch einmal geben.

Cooles Spiel. Aber es ist irgendwie einsam im Spiel, daher wünsche ich mir Musik ins spiel oder das man halt mit freunden spielen könnte. Währe sehr nice.

Immer spaßig in der Sandbox Autos auf verschiedene Arten zu fahren. Sei es um einen Unfall zu provozieren oder um das Handling auszureizen. Mit Automation als Fahrzeugeditor macht es noch mehr Spaß. Kann ich nur empfehlen!

i know this becuase i have been playing this game nonstop with 100 mods and my pc is higher end but still crashes at least twice a month (may change for mid or lower end pcs)

Poured hundreds of hours into this game outside Steam.

It's THE best driving simulator on the market. There is absolutely no competition in terms of how accurately everything is simulated in BeamNG.Drive. And with the smallest things suchas oil temperature, block temperature, tire, brake, coolant temperature, the amazing soft-body physics, actual mechanical failures, an ever-growing roster of official cars and levels, the best dev team I've ever seen behind any product ever, and a constantly expanding modding scene, this game is worth more than its price, and the developers are more than deserving of every penny. Everything is physically simulated in real-time, no scripted movement or anything of that nature. The weakest part of the game are the visuals, but even those suffice.

100/10, absolutely recommend to every car enthusiast.

If you're looking for a review on this game you've come to the wrong place, but if you're looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place.

Ingredients:

1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2. 1/2 cup white sugar
3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
4. 1/4 cup water
5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
6. 1 pinch salt
7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside.
3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices.
4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal.
5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.

Beamng drive is the best free roam driving game I have ever played. This game has so many different cars and trucks you can choose from and there are many different mods. there are also many different maps to choose from. But the best part is the crash physics. The physics are 1,000 stars for me. Also the AI is very sophisticated.

I've been driving for well over 20 years now, and I've never gotten myself into an accident.
20 years of uneventful driving. Just cruising along, always watching out for other drivers and reacting.

So imagine my sheer glee at the amazingly destructive power in BeamNG.drive! I've been playing for a long while now, and it still never gets old. I've driven myself off cliffs, smashed into guardrails, and decided to see what happens when you DO get into an accident.

BeamNG.drive is basically like my playground that lets me do all the bad things that I've always avoided in the past 20+ years of bad driving. I get to smash and mob around like an absolute loon, chuckle and nod at the destruction, and then do it all over again.

There's also apparently other modes other than Freeroam, which I've played a few times and are loads of fun. Buuuuuutt....if you'll excuse me, I need to see what happens when I take a 3 wheeled unstable vehicle over jump.

I thought now currently at the amount of hours I have in this game would be a good time for my review of BeamNG.drive. It is a very good game. It has a lot of potential and I am glad something like this game exists in the simulation/driving genre. The vehicle physics are realistic and on point as well and its amazing how a game like this is able to be made and improved upon as well overtime. There is basically endless options and opportunities to choose from. From maps, to cars and everything in between, involving vehicles you surely won't be bored. The modding community keeps coming out with and creating many mods for further enjoyment which is a plus as well. There are cars and also planes that I personally didn't think would be possible to add into the game. There is an in-game mod manager which is easy to download and look for mods and also through Beam.NG's official website. There are also other mod websites out there to get mods for this game, but a lot of it is poorly created mods, stolen and they don't even work well and there are risks of viruses if you don't know what your getting into. All in all, I would recommend this game and the community seems to really stand behind it even during its current E.A. stage.

Biggest tips for new players who may be bored quickly: Explore the menus. BeamNG.drive is more than just crashing cars. By exploring every single menu (and sub menus inside of those menus) on the side-bar you open up A LOT of possibilities. From changing almost every component in your car, to making awesome replays, a bit of roleplaying, and setting up car chases.
Tip #2: Learn the shortcuts for menus and vehicle controls. You can do this via google or even exploring the controls menu.
Tip #3: Watch youtube videos to get some ideas what to do, maybe from YBR, or Mighty Car Vids, and Muye.
Tip #4: With Beam MP you can play online multiplayer with other people.
Tip #5: Don't underestimate the scenarios for entertainment.
Bonus Tip: Not all mods are on the in game mod repository, be it they're not ready for a full release, or for copyright reasons they cant be included. There are tons of extra mods on BeamNG.drives official website.

If you are looking for a very realistic game that involves testing, smashing, driving, and just about anything else that has to do with vehicles you've come to the right place.

The developer of this game has exceeded all expectations and you will not be disappointed. The simulator provides unsurpassed physics that will be candy to the eye.

As I right this review after totaling 1,000 hours of game time I can say this is my favorite game and will continue to play for many more hours.

One of my all time favorite games. One of the best things about the game is the devs, not a single one of there updates has disappointed and it seems like every one is better than the one before it, you can really see the effort the devs put into the game. Another great thing about is the amazing mod support, super easy to find and download mods. The only thing the games need to be perfect now is muiltiplayer :)

So I have now played BeamNG for 200 hrs and overall, it is a wonderful game. If you have a car interest then this will suit you most certainly.
A game isn't perfect, so what are the pros and cons?

NOTE: You need to somewhat of imagination to play this game beyoned crashing.

CONS
The game tends to crash from out the blue or when way too many things are loading.
Vhiechels can be buggy sometimes.
Graphics aren't the best (I will come back to this)
Is a very heavy game to run when a lot of entities are loaded.

PROS
You can do basically whatever you want.
Has a very active community.
If you feel like you want something someone has probably already added it.
The soft body dynamics are AMAZING.
From start the amount of customization you can do is overwhelming.
The list of cars, props, car parts, maps and levels is very wide and large.
You can choose between freeroam or different challenges.
The graphics some people may complain about but when you find a game this good they are enough.

So, in conclusion, I would really recommend BeamNG drive for any petrolhead that has a videogame interest. But also for someone new to cars willing to learn more. Note that you have to have patience, as mentioned sometimes it can really be a pain in the ass.

When I first downloaded this game a few years ago, I only had a gamepad and I just didn't get it. I didn't take the time to set up the controller and didn't really understand what the game is. But I love driving games (particularly rally sims - RBR, DR2.0, WRC9) and physics simulations so I spent a few hours on it and figured I'd revisit later. After quarantine started I got a wheel, so naturally tried every driving game I own with it. BeamNG.drive was by far the biggest surprise, and has quickly become one of my favorite games. Most of the cars handle as I'd expect, and I was impressed by the force feedback.

It took a couple mods to get me addicted. Pseudo Random Tour seems like a perfect mod for this game, and shows off how much content and potential there really is here. But as a rally fan, what really got me hooked was the pace notes mod (Pace Notes Core and the configuration) - Suddenly it's a rally sim, and in my opinion a really solid one. Finally, we have a game where the physics feels right, cars handle believably, and damage is realistic enough to make every risk a calculation. I don't really know how driving on tarmac compares to other games, but if you're into Dirt Rally, WRC or RBR, I'd definitely recommend checking it out. The off-road experience is exactly what I'd been wanting.

My only fear is that it could be hard to market a game like this and grow an ecosystem around it. This is a fantastic physics platform just begging to have a deeper game experience built on top of it, and I really, really hope they can create that. I'll be doing time trials in Utah until then.

Edit: I'm using a T300 RS GT with the Sparco R383 rim.

BeamNG drive. What a wonderful game.

Why should you choose this game over others?

because its fun as hell, that's why! You don't have a goal or objective, you can create whatever you want to your hearts content - and express homicidal tendicies - all in one game!.. without doing it in real life.

I've found this game to be a good stress reliever for me actually and also comes with the ability to mod it, which is also great.

12/10 would buy all over again

This is one of the first games I've ever bought on Steam and I have yet to get bored of it. The game, visuals, physics, and developers are all fantastic and definitely worth the $25. There is just absolutely no way to get bored when you have such an incredible modding community and updates that come pretty often. Just make sure your PC is somewhat decent or else the game won't be as enjoyable. Still a 10/10 tho

YES, just yes, the physics engine is hard to explain, but compared to more conventional sim racing games it's far more realistic in specific ways,
there's a lot of things other sims have that beam doesn't have, but there's a LOT of stuff beam can do that no other sim could do in a million years,
plus the mod support is outstanding and even incredibly complex mods like multiplayer mods exist and work somewhat well, like Beam-MP which is a multiplayer mod that's in early access atm.
And im just scratching the surface, if you gave me a month i might be able to list half of the things i love about this game. Also check out Automation the car company tycoon game, because of the way beam is made youre able to create cars in the game automation (on steam) and tune it to perfection before EXPORTING IT TO BEAM, theres nothing else like it really

A magnet... A magnet for all Driving, Simulation, Distruction and customization gamers...
BeamNG.Drive has been my go-to game for a long time. It has a lot of aspects I really enjoy and quite a few I would like to be added to the game.
It's wonderful Soft Body dynamics enhance the player experience and the modding community adds a lot to the game as well! It can be relaxing, fun and exciting at the same time depending on what you do with the game.
The BeamMP Mod is great as well, I've enjoyed it very much.
I highly suggest you get this game! (It goes on sale very rarely but catch it if you can haha).

Fun car simulator that looks amazing. The physics are spot on and the cinematic features make it perfect for making cool stunt or crash videos. Don't be turned off that its early access or 25 dollars, it's definitely worth the price. You can find loads of cool mods with cars, trucks, car parts, and planes in them on the Bmg.drive website. Requires a beefy computer, but that's the price for amazing graphics. It is also well optimized for the graphics compared to some games.

This game is the best way to try your hand at any sort of driving you cannot do in real life.
It's best enjoyed with a proper steering wheel and pedal setup, but can be enjoyed with a controller just fine.

I've not yet come across any other game with a driving model that even comes close to BeamNG.drive, let alone the soft body physics.

The game is still rough around the edges but if you're just looking for a great driving experience and some spectacular soft body physics when things go wrong (or very right, depending...), then this game is for you!

Ever since purchasing this game a few years ago, every time this game gets a update it becomes even better. For the price, you get many hundred of hours of fun.

This game however is highly focused on freeroam, which means creating your own fun. This may put some people off.

This is one of the few games that will leave you begging for one of the high-quality updates.

This game is (like everyone else has said) very demanding on your PC so if you don't at least meet the Recommended Specs then unfortunately, I'd say just stick to watching CrashBoomPunk's videos on youtube and you'll get all the satisfying destruction you could want. My PC meets the recommended specs and even I have to run the game no higher than medium with some settings on low, if I want a consistent frame rate. If your PC CAN run this game and you want a vehicle sim, get this game now. Car tweaking that would please any gear head, practically any driving sport you could want can be recreated here. Drifting, hillclimbs, rally, hajwalah, you name it.
