In Germanic mythology, a Lindwurm is a wingless bipedal dragon resembling a large snake. It's a large and fearsome creature, the adversary in many a legend, and home to the wild and uncivilized parts of the world of Battle Brothers. Challenge your mercenary company against a terrifying Lindwurm and claim its hoard of treasures as your own!

If you love suffering you will love this DLC. However, for me, lindwurms are just too much. I have only beaten a group of lindwurms once on my very best save, and the juice is simply never going to be worth the squeeze. In the best possible scenario you might just get through without casualties, but they don't even drop legendary gear, and half of the money you get from killing them (assuming it's a contract and not just a random spawn, which happen too frequently for my liking) will go to repairing your trashed gear and treating your wounded, and you will be unable to work until your men are recovered, meaning losing even more money in wages. Basically, it makes no economic sense to go after lindwurms when there's always going to be safer work available. I will admit that they are possibly a good late-game challenge, but if you get lindwurms spawning early (say 100 days in or sooner) they can be game-breaking, because neither you nor any of the AI armies can destroy them, making them a permanent fixture cutting off vital areas of the map. For example, my otherwise very enjoyable Blazing Deserts adventure has been cut short at day 108 by two parties of lindwurms (4 in each group) spawning in the central desert during a Holy War. My company can't deal with them, neither can the AI armies, and they are blocking the way between the city states. I am going to have to start a new save with lindwurm disabled so I can actually see all of the new content without scaly nightmares destroying my save, and I will be leaving it disabled in future.

Fantastic game with developers that truly care about their playerbase. I would've paid for this DLC to support how much I love the game but the fact that this is free really drives that point home.

I thought the DEV's had moved on to other projects aside from bugfixing. This was a pleasant surprise and I hope it's a show of good things to come. Even if not. It's very nice.

So I didnt notice that steam had downloaded this DLC. I started like usual and I played my relatively new warband and played som hours and hated my life after one of my favorite characters died... But I rebuilded and got some new guys and did my thing. I bought trading goods and took contracts that went in the general direction I was going. And suddenly when I was just drinking some of my delicious coke (not sponsored), a GOD DAMN DRAGON appeared. I ofcourse thought it was a new warband skin for a goblin or the orcs that I havent seen yet. But NOOOOOOO, I have never been so wrong. So when I saw the 2 tile dragon of doom, I paniced sooo hard. I decided to run, like you do when you see a monster you have never met before and feel so unprepared for it that going up against it would be suicide for atleast 7 of my 3 character in my mind. But ofcourse the terrain was having none of it. It was a constant upphill and it caught up with my heavy tanky dude (damn you Carl). I sat for like a solid 5 minutes and thought if I should give him up. He was the highest level of my guys and had a crucial role in my over all strategy towards the nobles. So no I couldnt leave him... It ended up being a constant fight with deploying wardog after wardog when they died, so that it wouldnt attack my valueble dudes(sorry dog people but im a cat person). And it was AWSOME! Man, it was so tence going up against something so foreign in a game you have spent a decent amount of time on. It felt like when I first started this game again. So to sum it up, i lost 2 dudes from some great bullcrap, and i would do it again. Great DLC and damn do i love this game, having more DLC like this would be great, i mean i would pay for new stuff. I love supporting the developers of this game and I LOVE this game.

Fantastic game + free DLC. Can't go wrong! Hope the devs continue to support this game - would happily pay for an expansion.

This game is absolutely phenomenal and I've been hoping for new content for some time...

Hopefully the devs notice that their fanbase is still interested. This game really needs to be opened up for modding.

Nice new enemy, two tiles monster! A banner, a Lindwurm set, one more utility item and a bunch of fixes!
One more challenge to test our warbands!
